OBIEE group and filter in analysis

Hi all,
As an example, I have an analysis with the following table and values on it:

My goal is to perform an aggregation of this data, meaning, for the same Code with the same Description 1 and Description 2, I would like only to display the row with the Minimum Date. Meaning, the end result would be not showing the row in red!
Is it possible to do this without changing the RPD and ETL?

You can use Conditional format in the selection step.
According to the description 1 and 2 set the minimum date in the conditional format.

SP doesn't interrogate AD groups (DL's or SG's)... you'll need to query AD directly (ADSI).

Mapping Roles/Groups between OBIEE 11g and Oracle EBS R12

Hi,
We are implementing OBIEE 11g with Oracle EBS R12 as source system. Also we are using Out of the box RPD for Oracle EBS R12.
But we are facing lot of challenges to map OBIEE 11g groups and EBS roles and responsibilities. We do not have prior experience with EBS as source system.
Can anyone tell how to map between obiee groups with Oracle E-Business suit R12
Is there any document link or notes regarding this.
Any help regarding this will really save us.

As I understand you need to create a Connection Pool to your EBS database. I think that would be a serious security aspect for the integration to work over two different networks. But I don't think it's impossible.
Domain Prerequisites is another challenge in this scenario.

Mail group and sieve filter

Hi all
I have this situation:
1. An email group A, with a bunch of members.
2. An user B, which is member of group A.
3. User B has a filter which verify the sender address and forward the message to user C if the from address contains the pattern aaaa.com.
4. Group A, users B and C are in the same domain bbbb.com
5.. An User D in the domain aaaa.com
Suppouse user D send an email to the group A in domain bbbb.com, once the group is expanded user B recieve the email message but the filter is not applied, the email message is not forwarded to user C in domain bbbb.com.
In the case that user D send and email directly to user B the filter is applied and the message is forwared to user C.
This is a normal behaivor.. ?? As I read the filter is applied to every member once the group is exoanded.

The answer is likely to depend on "email group", and if it's a "mail group:, or a "mail list".
Messages sent to a "mail group" appear to be sent by the sending person. Messages sent through a "mail list" appear to be sent by the list itself. Makes filtering options different.
To change a "mail group" to a "mail list", add a msgrperrorTo attribute to the ldap entry, per the schema guide.
Now, to a direct answer to your question. . .
It all depends on your filter. Is it looking for envelope headers or message headers? does the message itself actually have what the filter is looking for? You need to start by looking at the actual message that the filter is acting on.....

They are being shown. When Photoshop gray out items it means in the documents current state that item is not supported, Get the document into a state that the grayed out filters can be used. Some filters mat not support some modes like CMYK. 32bit color, Lab etc. They seem to be listed but nor currently applicable. Note whem no document is open all are grayed out the when a simple clipboard image is open all are available.

How to easily find all the relationship between group and reports in OBIEE

I want to know if there is a quick way to export the relationship between all the group/users and all the reports/page/etc.

May be you can suggest a way around what I trying to achieve. I migrated(imported) one BA from our Prod system to an R12 VIS demo system into the pre-existing APPS EUL as owner SYSADMIN. When I login as SYSADMIN I see all the workbooks(the ones that were migrated from PROD and the ones shipped with VIS). I am interested only in the Workbooks that I migrated from Prod System. There are 100's of migrated workbooks. I was thinking of creating another APPS user and grant this newly created user ADMIN privileges on the migrated BA and transfer ownership of all migrated WORKBOOK. This way when I login as the newly created user I will only see the migrated Workbooks. How do I automate the process to seperate them using SQL or otherwise

I a new to LV. Project is to measure light freq. using photodiode heald against a TV screen. Am required to have it analysed by FFT, I have read lots but still at dead end of which VI I can manipulate, tried Spectrum Analysers but not right. Need it to collect at rate of at least 100/sec. I am using a CB-68LPR I/O and PCI-MIO-16E-1. Photodiode is connected to an amplifier and filter before it is hooked into the connector board so signal is clean. I will be measuring freq. of ciliary beat where photodiode placed against a TV screen.

are you shure what you want ti do?
TV screens don't show pictures, they show a point (3 points on a colour
TV) with changing intensity passing by very fast.
For instance, if you h
ave the PAL Standard, each picture is built with 625
lines, in 20 ms, interlaced. This means, 64 ?s line with the leading and
trailing overhead. The visible part of a line is aubout 52 ?s long.
If you attach your fototransistor to the screen, and its diameter may
cover a circular area of maybe 3 mm and the visual part of the line would
be 520 mm, then: And if this covers four of the screen lines, then you
will receive pulses of 0,3 ?s length if the line passes the center of the
fotodiode. Not passing the transistor in the center would give back an
even shorter pulse.
And if you get all this working (which I don't think) then you would
measure 2 groups of pulses every 10 ms with 2 pulses each (remember
interlacing).
Even if all the DAQ would work, is your fototransistor fast enough. Think
about miller capacities. Its not so simple at it seems first to solve this
measurement problem.
Please let me know what you intend to do. I was an TV- enginear many years
ago, and I don't remember ev
erything relevant anymore, but there are some
hardware- related things to be aware if if you want to measure TV-
signals.

Course Type combination of Sequence, Alternate Group and Default in PP01

Hi Guys,
Need your help that we are facing currently.
While linking Course type with Course program(Mandatory block), we are facing issue below-
No sequence number visible on portal.
Trainings are visible in Alternative section.
After initial analyse,we found that in additional data of course type sequence(Element Sequence),alternate group and defaults(Element Alternatives) should be maintained. But not sure what should be the correct combination through which i should be able to see correct sequence in proper section.
Please suggest the proper combiation for this linkage which will be useful for me.

Hi,
When you maintain condition record that time system bring unit of measurement from material master and curancy from sales organization in which you created material.
Now in your customized table case, there is sales organization but not any material so it is not bringing it default as you don't have material.
So in this case you have to maintain it manually
Note - you material type, material group,etc not depandant to any UoM

OBIEE Group Authentication Maintenance

I have set up Authorisation Via ms ADSI Server for OBIEE 10g , I have also setup Group Authorisation via Table .. Works well. But my problem is " Each user and group has to be created in the table" , Is there way around this or any common practise or procedure i can run to Maintain the groups and users within the Authorisation Table...
The ADSI (LDAP) is fine... Just problem with maintaining the groups. How does everyone else maintain their groups if you have the table authorization method...

That's up to you to decide how to do it. There are cons and pros on every approach. Personally I wouldn't stahe any LDAP data as this would require frequent updates or a big delay on new users/permissions feeding to OBIEE. People expect new permissions to be applied instantly. If that's not the case you might get pointless support calls etc. I would either use LDAP to store all permissions or OBIEE. There is little point in having security tables if you have to maintain them manually. We use tables because we have a custom permissioning tool which the help desk manage so we don't need to touch any permissions. You be better of maintain them manually using the Web Catalog and the web Administration console if you can't use LDAP.

That is these programs comes into picture after the archiving operation.

Your provided transaction "GR55" helped me to find out the program name for a particular group. However, these are just Write and Painter reports.
But can you please let me know the functionality of these report groups ?? what are these used for ???
Do we have these programs for other archiving objects like CO_ITEM,CO_ML_BEL,MM_MATBEL,CO_ORDER,
PP_PLAN,PP_BKFLUSH ??

Add field group and Logical field group for ANLU

On my project, the table ANLU is containing many specifics fields.
I would like to know how I could add a field group and logical field group corresponding to this specifics fields on ANLU, in order to be taking into account on my validation rule ?
On the GGB0, Asset Accounting / master data, the check point includes the ANLU on the table fields. But, once my rule created, when I want to activate it on the TCODE OACV, the field group proposed don't include data from ANLU (only ANLA and ANLB)
I found out the TCODE OAVM listing all different field linked to the field group. Does it possible to manage this view ?

I am having problem with the workspace when trying to give access to reports.Problem is its not showing up groups and users in workspace.But when i tried logging to shared services its showing up all the groups and users.Its trying to communicate with native directory but not with the openldap.

BI Server group and Presentation Services group

Hi Experts,
I've created a BI Server group and a Presentation Services group - both named 'Reporting Superuser'.
Next I've created a user (User_1) in the BI Administration tool and added the user to 'Reporting Superuser'.
The Presentation Services group 'Reporting Superuser' has full control on the right folders and the corresponding dashboards.
I haven't added User_1 to the Presentation Services group 'Reporting Superuser'. According to the documentation that shouldn't be necessary.
Unfortunately when I log in using User_1, I don't see any of the dashboards User_1 should have access to through the group membership.
Is there anything I might have missed?

First check whether user is assigned with that particular group after logging in..
log in to presentation service with that user and go to my account.. and check for following:
Group Membership
This list shows the groups to which you belong.
Group1
Group2
check whether that user belonged group is there in that list or not...
