OBIEE - Problem to access a DashBoard with &Action=Navigate&Format=pdf

Hi,
I have a problem to access a dashboard with &Action=Navigate&Format=pdf
This works:
http://company.com:9999/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=/shared/XXXXXXX/_portal/Dashboard1&Page=Page1&Action=Navigate
This works

BUT this doesnt work_

When I try &Action=Navigate&Format=pdf I have a error:

Looks like a bug related to bug 7298035 - dashboard print to pdf causes assertion error!.
If possible check this doc ID 1054523.1

Actually I am working with the GO URL Links in OBIEE 11g.When I am trying to use the link as

Actually I have a few parameters or filters and I am using those filters in the GO URL Link but that filters when I am applying in
&Action=Extract it is working properly.But When I am trying the same with &Action=Navigae it is not gining me the results what I want..

Dashboard print options - PDF / GoURL Action=print&Format=PDF

The dashboard print option ("Printer Friendly") is nothing but a GoURL call with Action=print and Format=PDF (in the case of PDF of course). So far so obvious.
But does anyone know if we can interact with this in a more detailled way? I.e.: changing the pdf to be built in landscape format? And does anyone know which engine is actually used to create the pdf?

Only one little thing about landscape...
Edit dashboard and after pages, is a button 'PDF and print control', There you can set Size (A4) , orientation, header + footer...

Accessing a Maxtor with windows file format

Despite the instructions from maxtor my new maxbook pro cannot read the maxtor external drive (which has 760GB of data on it). I need advice on how best I can read the files. The mac disk utility offers to "first aid the disk" will this wipe my data? If so what other software or options are open to me?

Disc first aid may not help you to access your pc files on a pc formatted disc but you may discover whether or not you can access the files or what the format of the drive is with Disc Utility.
Someone might have a different program that can read or access the pc formatted drive.
Disc 'first aid' is the first program that you should try when having problems with your mac drives.
In disc first aid, begin with "verify" drive ... select the drive and click button "verify" If it then says you need to repair the disc, quit other programs using that disc and then click "repair".
Disc utility is also used to verify or repair permissions.
disc "first aid" is good and should be a first response to any problem with a mac.
disk utility offers to erase or format? not good if you want your data, erasing and formatting on disc utility are approximately the same as far as deleting data.
Is your external drive connecting with USB or with Firewire?
Have you still got the computer that originally wrote to the drive? Was it Mac or PC? (edit- I read the post not the subject line first)

Access Seller Dashboard with more than one user

Hello everybody,
I have created a Company account to publish SharePoint Apps to the Office Store. Although we are registered as a company, I cannot find a way to let other colleagues access the Seller Dashboard.
The problem is that I have to log in using my personal LiveID. I would give my credentials to others if that account weren't linked to all kinds of personal stuff (i.e. OneDrive, Outlook.com, ...)
Is there any way to invite others to my Seller Dashboard?

Problem when access to CSS with SSH

We have an strange issue when we try to access to the management of the CSS with SSH protocol: we need to put the username twice.
Is it a normal behaviour?

This has been the behavior of the CSS when logging in via SSH since the product was introduced. So yes, this is normal behavior for the CSS.

A better way is to generate the String first [use StringBuffer as a good practice for appending instead of String "+"] and print it out to check if it is correct.

I am currently using Acrobat Pro 9.5.0 on Win 7 and Win XP sp3
I have created Power Point Slide with one Action Button. When I set the Action Button to Hyperlink to a video file, and use Acrobat > Form > Start from Wizard ..", the PDF file created by Acrobat has my Action Button as a field.   This field allows the click of this field to execute a certain action.   This is what I want.
When I set the Action Buttion to hyperlink to an internal slide on my Power Point presentation (which has video inserted on that slide), and when I use Acrobat > Form > Start from Wizard ..", the PDF file created by Acrobat doesn't have my Action Button as a field.    It appears just as a regular pdf with no fields.
Is there a way to get the wizard to convert my Action Button when I hyperlink to a slide to show up as a field (as in hyperlinking to an external file) ???
I am using PPT 2007 (which doesn't allow true embedding of video within the PPT slide.   On PPT 2010 has this embedding feature.
I would appreciate any help you can offer.

is it possible access to dashboard by using network users.insted of obiee users.i.ewhen you are login into presentation services it will ask user name and password. in this case it will not like that when we are log in to the sysytem by using user name and password.by using that user name and password it can directly access to the dashboard is it possible or not?means that by using network username and password can i able to login to the dashboard by cliking the presentation url.with out asking username and password again.

Yes, you can and if your presentation services are hosted on a windows server, thats lot more easy. While the presentation server is being promoted, you can have users get authenticated using LDAP/AD and that way, you need not go through typing username/pwd once again.
Configure SSO
Set IIS authentication to “Windows authentication”:
Open IIS Manager => Select Default website => Right-click => Properties => Directory Security tab => Authentication and access contol => Edit … => deselect “Enable anonymous access” => Select “Integrated Windows authentication” => Ok => Ok => Select All => Ok
Open the instanceconfig.xml file (located in OracleBIData\web\config). Set <SSO enabled = “true”>. Save and close file.
Restart your server and start your OBIEE services.. You are good to go now.
Like others said, may be you are better off with closing your questions so others can use it.

Dashboard with QaaWS - cannot access external data

Hi all,
I built a dashboard with 3 qaaws, all based on one universe which is base on one bw-query.
All works fine for the group: Administrators.
If I take the Users out of the Adminstrators group, i get the message that the external data cannot be accessed. No Error # or so is displayed.
Even if I grant the usergroup Full Control on the QaaWS, the Universe, the Connection and the Dashboard itself, it does not work.
We use BO 4.0 SP01 FP11.
As far as I can see is, that it can't be a Network (Firewall)-Problem, because it works for the memebers of the Adminstration groups - What else can it be?

Considering you have sufficient rights, use fiddler tool to ensure as to why you are getting the error.
If it is not a rights issue then you need to check if you have crossdomain file deployed.
For using fiddler:
Go to fiddler2.com
Get Fiddler downloaded and installed
Run Fiddler
Launch your dashboard
In Fiddler, on left hand side panel you should see HTTP traffic happened between you server and the dashboard.
Go through captured HTTP traffic to find where exactly we are facing the issue.

Dashboard with Webi Report link - Cannot access external data

Dear Gurus,
I've a dashboard with access to WEBI report for Language setting.
All works fine for the group: Administrators.
If I take the Users out of the Adminstrators group and assign them normal power user group, I get the message that the external data cannot be accessed. No Error # or so is displayed.
Even if I grant the usergroup Full Control / Power User on the
Universe,
the Connection
Dashboard itself,
WEBI Application
Webservices
Still it does not work.
As far as I can see is, that it can't be a Network (Firewall)-Problem, because it works for the memebers of the Adminstration groups - What else can it be?

Have no problems with my MB accessing it, but with MB-AIR it says - 'the version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. pls contact your system administrator to resolve the problem'. MB-Air uses maverick downloaded yesterday - upgrade from mountain lion. MB uses snow leopard still, as i am quite used to it and am thinking of upgrade if mavericks work fine on air. Also have parallel on snow leopard but it is no longer supported according to mac website - if i upgrade am i going to lose my parallel and will have to buy a new one!!!

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

JDeveloper problem with actions

Hello
I'm working on my first struts application and I have any problem with actions(I think).
When I run the application, I don't see any data from DB on my page but when I click any of these 4 buttons, then the data load from DB.....Can anybody help me....I want to see my data when the page loads for the first time, not after the button click. Thanks a lot.

I forgot to say one more thing that could be relevant:
If i add any action from the struts-config.xml in the provider for the <defaultAction> of the portlet it works correctly.
So the actions work correctly, the problem is that when sending back to the oracle portal the request with the new action, there is no response.
