OBIEE11g: How to check current environment installed/applied patches?

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to check current OBIEE environment installed/applied patches? I don't have the patch installs anymore and now trying to figure out how to view them. My current environment is OBIEE 11.1.1.5.
Thank you in advance!

To check Patches applied, do changes where ever required.
Use this command
cd $FMW_HOME/Oracle_BI1
opatch lsinventory|grep applied
In Windows from C:\OFM\Oracle_BI1\OPatch
Use this command
opatch lsinventory applied
opatch.bat lsinventory –oh <EPM_ORACLE_HOME> –jdk <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/jdk160_21
To check the version login to Answers-> Administration you can find the version a top use weblogic user to see.

  • How to check oracle properly installed or not?

    Hello Friends,
How to check oracle properly installed or not. cause during installation time the person who installed faced many problems. we have RISK base IBM p5 Series server and Oracle 10g RAC.
i want to check installation made properly or not.
    Thanks,
    Nikunj Patel

Installation for RAC environments means you are not only talking about one single installation, but several installations, and the number of installations and checking processes depend on factors such as the clusterware you are using, if you are using the Oracle clusterware or the proprietary clusterware, if you are using a separate oracle home to install the ASM or if you are using the same oracle home for both, the ASM and the RDBMS.
First you must ensure you have installed all prerequisites according to your platform, i.e. patches, packages, kernel parameters, etc. which are listed at the install guide corresponding to your platform. Then you should use the cluvfy (cluster verifier tool) to check if the different install phases are properly installed
The most critical and most of the times, problematic installation phase is the clusterware. So you should specify if you installed the Oracle clusterware or the proprietary clusterware. In a RAC environment if your clusterware is not properly installed, most probably you won't have a running RAC, so if your environment is functional there you may have high probabilities that it is OK, but to make sure, launch the cluvfy tool.
The cluvfy tool verifies the process since the beginning and it ensures your environment meets the required minimum requirements to be at an operational level, it checks the pre/post install phases for the clusterware, pre/post install of the rdbms, and it is launched from the OS. It can be obtained as a standalone product or you can use the one found at the clusterware Oracle Home. For further references on this tool I suggest you to read this

  • How to check if XI installed

    Hi,
I know this is a basic question.
Our basis guys installed, BI of NW2004s, how to check if they have installed XI.
Any links, documents in this direction would help me.
    Thanks,
    -Naveen.

    Hi,
For the Java part of xi, you use this URL:
    http://<host>:5<nn>00/rep
with <host> = your XI server hostname
    with <nn> = your XI system ID (e.g 01)
Note: no user is needed to display this Java page.
For the Abap part, just use your SAP Logon with both parameters: <host> and <nn>. If you can enter a user and a password, that's means that ABAP part of XI is installed.

how do I know the version?
do i need to execute command so that i can able to check version?
    thanks

    Hi,
Use adident or strings command to get the v ersion.
Use the strings command or adident to get the version and use the class file instead of the java file, thus:
    $ strings -a <file name> | grep Header
You should find similar answer in old threads (search for: how to find file version).

I also edited my ealier post to check against the database itself, but you won't be able to check the one-off patches applied onto the binaries.

  • How to skip EGO product before applying patch 9239090 (12.1.3)

    Hi All,
    i am applying patch 9239090 (12.1.3) on my system OUL5x64 EBS 12.1.1 db:11.1.0.7
when upgraded to 12.1.1, got error on EGO product and i had to skipped this product because we do not have it installed and now upgrade to 12.1.3 got the same error on this product.and had to skip this product again.
    here is the error:

question:How can i disable this product before applying the patch 9239090 so the upgrade process can continue un-interrupted.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

is there any ways that i can do it before apply the patch 9239090 so the process will not require user interact. we patch the system at night and if it fails, we will waste few hours till the morning before it can continue running again. The only way would be commenting the line in the patch driver which initiates EGOSILDU.sql script (if possible), but this is not supported by Oracle Support.

  • How to check current java software installed on mac?

Hi, I have the macbook pro with mountain lion 10.8.2 software currently installed on it. I am also a really forgetful person and whenever I get an update alert on the app store, I dont bat an eye; I just hit install. I now have been hearing about this hole in the java software and it has me worried, I was told that apple released a software on the 19th of february but I can not for the life of me remember if i did update that particular software, is there a way to check? I would really appreciate some help.

Unless you specifically installed Java it is not on your system Apple stoped shipping their machines with Java installed a while back.
However if you want  to make sure that Java is not installed open a Terminal window (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal or enter Terminal in a spotlight search).
    When the window opens enter
    java --version
If java is installed you'll get its version number back if not this window will open
    and then press Not Now

  • How to check current package/software versions?

How do I check the current versions of packages or software? For example which version of apache or svn I have installed.
    Thanks.
    -z

Most software that's installed via Apple's installer stores a receipt in /Library/Receipts
You can look at the /Contents/version.plist file within the .pkg to see the version number associated with the package.
This doesn't always cut it, though - for example Apache (as well as several other server components) may get updated as part of a security update so you won't see an 'apache.pkg' in /Library/Receipts
In this case, though, it's probably easier to ask Apache directly...
    $ httpd -v
    Server version: Apache/2.2.13 (Unix)
    Server built: Oct 16 2009 02:12:22
Most services support some kind of command-line switch (typically -v or -V) that gives you version information.

  • [SOLVED] how to check current colorscheme in vimrc?

I am trying to write a function in vimrc that behaves differently based on colorscheme but I can't work out how to test the value of :colorscheme in vimrc. I'm trying to do this:
    if (&colorscheme == 'myscheme')
    ...something...
    else
    ...something else...
    endif
But colorscheme is isn't a variable so the usual way of checking &variable doesn't work. Thanks for heping...

Thank you Vain, that is the answer I was looking for. "color[scheme]"  does indeed output the name of the current color scheme but I cound not get it to work in the conditional. Using the g:colors_name variable works a treat. Very much appreciated

  • How to check JVM is instaled - for 32-bit to 64-bit upgrade

    Hi,
I need to upgrade my 9205 oracle instance from 32-bit to 64-bit. I intend to follow Metalink Note:62290.1. But it says its to be used if there's no JVM installed. How do I ensure that?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
you could use the database configuration assistant(dbca) to check:
choose configure database componenents and navigate to your databse and look at what shows up using the standard database components button.

  • How to check indesign version installed by Apple Script

    Hi Friends,
I want to make an apple script which will check for the version of Indesign installed in the "Applications" folder.
I tried using "exists" function of Finder. But seems something is missing/incorrect.
    tell application "Finder"

    Please can you suggest.
    Thanks,

    Hi Niel,
    Thanks for your email.
Basically, I need to check whether a user has which version of Indesign on his mac like (CS3, CS4 etc)
Accordingly, I have to create different loops.
I have CS4 installed on my mac but when I run the below
    tell application "Finder"
exists version of application file "Adobe InDesign CS4" of folder "Applications" of startup disk
    end tell
The result is false.. even though I have CS4 installed. And, if I try
get version of application "Adobe InDesign CS4"
    It gives o/p as  "6.0.6.622"
    Thanks for your help!
