Object Oriented Javascript in LiveCycle 7

Question

b My goal:
A generic script object with custom classes; and creating object instances in the form (and add them as property to XFA-objects).
b My code in Script Object (named: 'gModel'):
>function CustomClass() {
> this.property1 = "Hello World!";
> this.method1 = function() {
> app.alert(this.property1);
> }
>}
b My code in ready:form event of XFA-object:
>this.newProperty = new gModel.CustomClass();
b Alternative code in ready:form event of XFA-object:
>var CustomClass = gModel.CustomClass;
>this.newProperty = new CustomClass();
b My problem:
The code above doesn't work. Both solutions crash with the fault message:
"InvalidGetError: Get not possible, invalid or unknown."
Have I encountered the limitations of Javascript OO-programming in Interactive Forms, or am I doing something wrong?

For anyone interested in creating true MVC applications in LiveCycle Designer: I have solved the problem by creating the custom models through anonymous function declaration.
b My code in the Script Object (named 'gModel') becomes:
> var CustomClass = function() {...}
b And my code in ready:form event of XFA-object becomes:
> var CustomClass = gModel.CustomClass;
> this.newProperty = new CustomClass();
