OC4J as a service getting stopped
Hi,
We made OC4J as a service but the service is getting stopped for every 2 days. Where can I check the log for this...
What are the changes I need to make to keep it running continously..
Thanks
Hi I used the following command to make it as a service
"C:\Program Files\JavaService\javaservice.exe" -install "Oracle BI OC4J Server" "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_11\bin\client\jvm.dll" -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Xmx512m "-Djava.class.path=C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar" -start oracle.oc4j.loader.boot.BootStrap -description "Oracle BI Oc4J Service"
I think this doesnt have a log ..
Please guide me..

FSIS host controller service getting stopped frequently on windows 2008 machine
We have 6 Windows hosts out of which 1 is admin node for FSIS and other 5 have IMS instances running. Of late we observed that FSIS host controller service is getting stopped on many of these windows hosts almost every day and sometimes 5-6 times a day.
From the event viewer we could not find much errors except messaging saying FSIS host controller service got terminated unexpectedly. below are the message from one of the host controller service log. I have enabled debug mode today so waiting for debug logs
to give some more information

HP OM : OVepmessageactionserver service gets stopped every time we try to restart it
Hi,
We have OMW ver 9.00.00231 installed in windows 2k8 server. I got an error while I was working with LogFile monitoring policy. I am attaching the error below:
"Faulting application OvEpMsgActSrv.exe, version 6.0.94.34, time stamp 0x50f6e141, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18881, time stamp 0x51da3d16, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000000000048f12, process id 0xcf8, application start time 0x01cf8f98fe24a8c1."
I restarted the system since I had the error saying that the management server was unable to forward the messages as email, since then I am unable to login to the console. The ovepmessagesActionServer service
and the OvepstatusEngine service starts and stops immediately.
FYI, I have done the below activites to make the server up (seeing similar forums):
1) When I restarted the server there was windows updates happening which I removed later on all the patches that were updated during the restart.
2) We didn't install any hotfix on the management server since last year and this issue we are facing for the very first time, even doing nothing on the server
3) I have executed the below steps too:
vpstat -3 -r stop
net stop winmgmt
vpstat -3 -r start
vpstat -3
vpstat -p
4) As given in a forum, in the sql database (openview) I have executed the below query:
select count (*) from ov_ms_keyrelationcache where messageid not in (select
id from ov_ms_message);
if it's value is more than 0 ,delete is using :-
delete from ov_ms_keyrelationcache where messageid not in (select id from
ov_ms_message);
5) Also executed,
- truncate table OV_MS_Message
- truncate table OV_MS_Annotation
- truncate table OV_MS_KeyRelationCache
But of no use till now, expecting your help asap..

I recently started to get an error message "MobileMe Services have stopped working". I use Vista. If I remove the MobileMe program, will it affect syncing with my iPhone or with Google Calendar?
No, just uninstall the MobileMe control panel. All Mobileme services have been discontinued, so the control panel is not doing you any good being in there at present.

microsoft windows 7 home premium edeition (64 bit)
I keep getting a popup window that says "host process for window services has stopped"
How can I get rid of this?Hello tribefanz,
Sounds like a compatiblity issue with a program and Windows 7. We need to find out what program is causing the issue though. We can do that through event viewer
1. Click the start orb
2. Select Control Panel
3. System and Security
4. Under Administrative Tools select the Event Viewer
In the event viewer you will want to drill down into the Application and System logs and look for anything with a Red X that says Error. Identify the program causing the problem and then we can go from there.
If I have helped you in any way click the Kudos button to say Thanks.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

I can't get the mail service to stop
Heya,
I am working on Leopard 10.5.4 server, and having a slight problem with mail. Essentially, I cannot get the mail service to stop. More specifically, I cannot get the SMTP service to stop. When I click on stop service in the Server Admin, SMTP says "Attempting to Stop", then goes right back to running. Problem is that the Stop Service Button never changes to Start Service, so IMAP and POP will not start. I am thinking about migrating my email boxes to a secondary Leopard Server that I have, and completely ripping out the mail piece, reinstalling, and migrating users back.... Unfortunately, I don't know how to migrate the users (I tried using mailbfr but, in the end, the mailboxes don't appear in the new server), and I don't know how to completely rip and reinstall the mail piece. As you can tell, by the rip and reinstall tactics that I want to resort to, I am a recovering Windows guy who is in way over his head.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.Okay, the serveradmin stop mail command worked. Unfortunately, I am
unable to authenticate when trying to login as from a client. IMAP

Honestly, I think that my problem at this point is OD and kerberos.
This machine is an OD Replica, but I cannot demote it. The same thing
happens as with mail... I try to make it stand alone, it goes through
the wizard, and then when it is done, goes right back to OD Replica,
and won't turn off... The OD Master doesn't see it as a valid replica
anymore. I also noticed that although kerberos is running on the OD
master, it is not running on this machine.
I know I am in the wrong forum for this, but any ideas? -
Hi All,
I have created a Biztalk application and published that as Web service. I created a App pool and assigned that as an Identity for the newly created virtual directory.
For the App pool I have set up the identity with a specific user id and add that user id under the Group IIS_USERS.
When I am browsing the web service I am getting Service Unavailable(HTTP Error 503) and App pool is getting stopped automatically.
I checked in the event viewer getting the following error:
Application pool WSOrchPool has been disabled. Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) did not create a worker process to serve the application pool because the application pool identity is invalid.
I am sure that user id and password is correct. the same user-id is added in all the Biztalk server groups.
Please let me know what can be the issue.
Thanks & Regards,
JoyHi Joy,
You need to ensure that the application pool identity is set to a valid account for the application pool to function.
Step by step explanation can be found at
Event ID 5057 — IIS Application Pool Availability

Dear All,
I am facing a problem with IDES system. When I start the SAP from MMC console in windows 2003 with oracle database (ECC 5.0) the dispatcher gets stopped immediately after it tries to start the work process. All the work process ends up and dispatcher stops. But the message server and gateway service are still running.

Good Bye ..... -
Dear All,
I am facing a problem with IDES system. When I start the SAP from MMC console in windows 2003 with oracle database (ECC 5.0) the dispatcher gets stopped immediately after it tries to start the work process. All the work process ends up and dispatcher stops. But the message server and gateway service are still running.
Below the log of DEV_DISP and DEV_W0

Apple mobile device service has stopped working - continues
Hi
I have a 16GB iPhone with 02 in the UK.
My first iPhone with 02 had trouble receiving calls with about 90% of incoming calls going straight to voice mail. I also couldn't backup that phone as every time I tried with iTunes, i got the message "Apple mobile device service has stopped working" about a minute into backup.
This happened continually, I re-installed iTunes so many times, still with little luck. I tried a different cable too. All on a brand new Dell Vostro desktop PC.
So, I took the phone back to 02 with these problems. 02 promptly replaced my iPhone.
Now, I have exactly the same problem. I obviously have nothing to restore on the iPhone as I was never able to back it up in the first place.
Every time I try and backup the iPhone I get the error "Apple mobile device service has stopped working". Again i tried a different cable and have removed and re-installed iTunes several times.
Anyone any ideas?
Regards
DI was having this same problem with my new iPad 3G. It was driving me insane and preventing me from syncing the iPad.
I removed and re-installed all Apple components from my computer as recommended (in the recommended order). But, the problem persisted.
The error message looked just like the one posted above:
Problem signature
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe
Application Version: 16.691.14.1
Application Timestamp: 4ba3b8fe
Fault Module Name: CoreFoundation.dll
Fault Module Version: 1.550.17.21
Fault Module Timestamp: 4b8cb530
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 0000db6b
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
The SOLUTION came when i discovered that there were two copies of CoreFoundation.dll on my computer.
One was in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.
The other was in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support.
I removed the copy of CoreFoundation.dll from the Mobile Device Support folder, and the problem vanished.
I hope this helps.

I'm replicating between two servers in two sites (Server A - Server 2012 R2 STD, Server B - Server 2008 R2) over a VPN (Sonicwall Firewall). Though the initial replication seems to be
happening it is very slow (the folder in question is less than 3GB). I'm seeing these in the event viewer every few minutes:
The DFS Replication service is stopping communication with partner PPIFTC for replication group FTC due to an error. The service will retry the connection periodically.
Additional Information:
Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)
and then....
The DFS Replication service successfully established an inbound connection with partner PPIFTC for replication group FTC.
Here are all my troubleshooting steps (keep in mind that our VPN is going through a SonicWall <--I increased the TCP timeout to 24 hours):
-Increased TCP Timeout to 24 hours
-Added the following values on both sending and receiving members and rebooted server

-Disabled AntiVirus on both members
-Made sure DFSR TCP ports 135 & 5722 are open

---------------------------------------more troubleshooting-----------------------------
I've done a lot of research on the Internet and most of it is pointing to the same stuff I've tried. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe I need to look somewhere
else on the server side or firewall side?
I tried replicating from a 2012 R2 server to another 2012 server and am getting the same events in the event log so maybe it's not a server issue.
Some other things I'm wondering:
-Could it be the speed of the NICs? Server A is a 2012 Server that has Hyper-V installed. NIC teaming was initially setup and since Hyper-V is installed the NIC is a "vEthernet
(Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver Virtual Switch) running at a speed of 10.0Gbps whereas Server B is running a single NIC at 1.0Gbps
-Could occasional ping timeout's cause the issue? From time to time I get a timeout but it's not as often as the events I'm seeing. I'm getting 53ms pings. The folder
is only 3 GB so it shouldn't take that long to replicate but it's been days. The schedule I have set for replication is mostly all day except for our backup times which start at 11pm-5am. Throughout the rest of the time I have it set anywhere from
4Mbps to 64 Kbps. Server A is on a 5mb circuit and Server B is on a 10mb circuit.I'm seeing the same errors, all servers are running 2008 R2 x64. Across multiple sites, VPN is steady and reliably.
185 events from 12:28:21 to 12:49:25
Events are for all five servers (one per office, five total offices, no two in the same city, across three states).
Events are not limited to one replication group. I have quite a few replication groups, so I don't know for sure but I'm running under the reasonable assumption that none are spared.
Reminder from original post (and also, yes, same for me), the error is: Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)
Some way to figure out what code triggers an Event ID 5014, and what code therein specifies an Error 1726, would extremely helpful. Trying random command line/registry changes on live servers is exceptionally unappealing.
Side note, 1726 is referenced here:
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/976442?wa=wsignin1.0
But it says, "This RPC connection problem may be caused by an unstable WAN connection." I don't believe this is the case for my system.
It also says...
For most RPC connection problems, the DFS Replication service will try to obtain the files again without logging a warning or an error in the DFS Replication log. You can capture the network trace to determine whether the cause of the problem is at the network
layer. To examine the TCP ports that the DFS Replication service is using on replication partners, run the following command in a
Command Prompt window:
NETSTAT –ANOBP TCP
This returns all open TCP connections. The connections in question are "DFSRs.exe", which the command won't let you filter for.
Instead, I used the NETSTAT command as advertised, dumping output to info.txt:
NETSTAT -ANOBP TCP >> X:\info.txt
Then I opened Excel and manually opened the .TXT for the open wizard. I chose fixed-width fields based on the first row for each result, and then added a column:
=IF(A3="Can not", "Can not obtain ownership information", IF(LEFT(A3,1) = "[", A3&B3&C3, ""))
Dragging this down through the entire file let me see that row (Row F) as the file name. Some anomalies were present but none impacted DFSrs.exe results.
Finally, you can sort/filter (I sorted because I like being able to see everything, should I choose to) to get just the results you need, with the partial rows removed from the result set, or bumped to the end.
My server had 125 connections open.
That is a staggering number of connections to review, and I feel like I'm looking for a needle in a haystack.
I'll see if I can find anything useful out, but a better solution would be most wonderful. -

You can ping this machine from your portal-nodes and you can connect to the port "sapgw00" (should be 3300) ?

This is the reason why your j2ee-server stops - the portal can't connect to the ume. What did you configured as the ume - the portal database, a ldap-server or a r3-system ?

Is there anything in particular to be done after import wherein it will hold anything related to source system which needs to be changed ?
Thanks,
Murali.Issue is solved. Removed a parameter from configtool in a wrong way. After inserting the proper values back, this error is gone

Shared Services Service Automatically Stops
Hi,
The Shered Services Service "Hyperion SharedServices9 WL81" is getting stopped automatically. When i start this service and then go to the essbase server to start the essbase service "Essbase Service", it starts and stops automatically.
When i see the essbase logs, below is the message that i get :
"Analytical Services Product Existence Check Fails against the Shared Services Server with Error [Unable to connect to Shared Services, make sure the Shared Services server is running and try again.]"
The shared services service mentioned above gets stopped automatically when i start it manually. Please suggest on how to start the shared services service mentioned above so that it does not stop by itself.
Thanks.
AmoghI take it used to work, if so has anything changed?
Is there something already running on port 58080?
It may even be worth rebooting the machine to see if it clears any port issue.
Cheers
John
