OC4J - Undeploy war file problem

I have an application, and deploy the war file, I make a new war and when I go to deploy the next error appaers:
Error while de-serializing the information concerning the J2EE application from the PersistentObject named: inv with description: J2EE application: inv Root Cause:
oracle.ias.sysmgmt,common,Init.Parameters; is no Serializable.
In the web server the only change was modify the IP number.
What can I do?
Thanks,

Given your war file looks like this:
jspapp.war
  |___ META-INF
  |         |___ Manifest.MF
  |___ WEB-INF
  |         |___ web.xml
  |
  |___whatever.jspYou should copy the jspapp.war file to the webapps directory of your Tomcat (I'm assuming your using Tomcat).
Then your context would look like:
<Context path="/jspapp" docBase="jspapp" debug="0" reloadable="true"/>
You don't need the c:\. There is no c:\ in your war file.

  • How to Redeploy application in OC4J using war file

    Hi
    Am new in area of 9ias and OC4J.
    I have deployed and application in OC4J of 9ias 902. using enterprise manager web interface.
    now i have change the contents of current jsp and added more jsp files.
    do i have to recreate war file and redeploy it in oc4j? or just copy the new version of current jsp and copy new jsp in application forlder.
    in case of redeploying , exterprise manager web interface asks for .ear file.
    can anyone give some hint to me... it will great help
    thanks

    Yes you have to rebuild the WAR file. You can deploy WAR from EMWebsite by using the deploy WAR link. If you are in development and your WAR/EAR file is constantly changing you can use standalone OC4J.

  • Undeploying war file

    I am trying to undeploy a war file using the iasdeploy removemodule
    -verbose csa.war command. It says that it finishing deploying, which is
    odd, and then it still shows up in the IAS registry under the j2ee
    modules. Is this the correct way to undeploy a war file? Is there
    something else I have to do?
    Thanks,
    Bryan

    Are you using kregedit or iASAT to verify the existence of the modules? My
    experience is that for kregedit, you need to "collapse" and then "expand"
    the J2EE Modules branch to see the latest changes after you remove the
    modules. For iASAT, you need to perfrom a "refresh" action (an option from
    the menu) to see the latest changes. BTW, I can remove module by using the
    command just like what you did.

  • WAR file problem

    My apologies if this post has appeared before...not sure if my previous 2
              posts made it to the newsgroup.
              I am having a problem with a war deployment. I am trying to get the
              following architecture to work:
              1) servlet instantiates data bean and places it in session
              2) jsp uses data bean to create customized output
              However, the jsp cannot compile because the databean is not being found.
              The data bean class is in /WEB-INF/classes so the jsp should have access to
              it. I can compile the servlet fine so it is not a problem with my classpath
              to the data bean class.
              I have seen similar posts to this however I have yet to find a reply that
              solves the problem.
              Any help appreciated!
              Thanks,
              Derek

    There are a number of things I am finding difficult to get working with
              WebLogic that work perfectly as described in the spec under Orion app
              server, as well as Resin.
              It appears that the servlet mappings in web.xml don't work correct. I think
              I have the SP4 patch applied, but I don't have a clue how to find out if it
              is indeed using the latest patch or not. Also, the
              /servlet/mypackage.myclass call does not work on JSP pages in WebLogic. I
              read up on the ServletServlet it provides and it appears that it does not
              recognize the WEB-INF/classes folder as a location to look for any /servlet/
              paths. That is rather bothersome initially, although when I rework our site
              to using Struts for the front-end, that need should go away.
              My main quest is to get Struts working so I can get my darn site to log me
              in. I normally have the login button submit the form to a jsp page that
              calls upon a servlet in the <jsp:include
              page="/servlets/com.mycompany.package.MyClass" /> fashion, which used to
              work. It does not under WebLogic. Is there ANY way to get the
              WEB-INF/classes to be part of the class path when calling upon my own
              classes as per the Servlet 2.2 spec? Or does Orion, JRUN 3, and Resin all do
              it wrong?
              Thanks.

  • OC4J and war files

    Hi there,
    Can an OC4J container 'contain' more than one .war file?
    Thanx!

    Of course. You usually package them in EAR files. Starting with 10.1.3 the Administration Console is able to deploy them too. Like the Enterprise Manager in previous versions.

  • Auto start war file problem

    I installed war file on the web logic server,after step 1,I press 'servicing all request' button for starting.
    unfortunately,I must repeat these action every time.The Application Server does not start project automatically.
    My WebLogic Application version is 10.3

    who can help me?maybe I did not describe situation clearly?

              Error messages related to web app creation and url resolution will be printed

Weblogic 6 doesn't give me any errors back but the application doesn't appear to have any contents in it. I'm sure it has something to do with the structure of my war file or the deployment descriptors, can you point me to some good documentation of them. Also is there anyway to view error messages?

    It's Bea's application bug or is something wrong with our manipulation?First the newsgroups are not BEA support. I would think it's fair to
    not assume you have the right for a question to be answered in a
    volunteer forum such as this. Second, what's Joe's problem? The only
    public posting I see by anyone named Joe are on April 12th and March 9th

  • Problem in Deploying war file in oc4j

    I have developed an application using struts and packaged in war file. It runs ok in tomcat server. I want to deploy it in embedded oc4j server of E-Business Suite. Please give me directions................

    AFAIK, EBS 11.5.10 doesn't come with OC4J. It uses Apache Jserv which is Servlet 2.0 and with a special JSP engine. This doesn't support J2EE WAR files. It might support Struts but I'd not bet on that.
    Having said that, you need to get an OC4J standalone version installed (minimum) and started by the standard EBS startup scripts.
    Once this is done and if your WAR is self-contained, ie contains all the libraries, it is quite easy. Just deploy it using the command-line tools (all versions) or the web admin interface of OC4J (from 10.1.3).
    Only thing you have to change is the URL in the OAF page to point to the right server...

                        I should say you that we do not have a package and class like: com.wira.webservices.bpel.jaxws.RequestResponse and it looks like WLS is mistaken about this.
              Indeed this application works fine on Sun java application server 9 (java ee 5 certified). Can you please tell me why does it happens?
              here is source code of Wsti class
                        @WebService()
              public class Wsti {
                  @WebMethod(operationName="requestResponse")
                  public String requestResponse(@WebParam(name="request") String request) {
                      return ReflectionManager.call(WstiImp.class, request);
                                            for reflection we used standard JDK reflection stuff.
              and that call method call a method identified in request from WstiImp class.

    1. Copy the file to D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications where d:\oc4j is the location OC4J is installed in.
    copy mywar.war D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications
    2. Open the application.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config directory
    and add the following after the <web-module id="defaultWebApp" path="../default-web-app" />
    line:
    <web-module id="mywar" path="../applications/mywar.war" />
    3. Open the default-web-site.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config
    directory and add the following after the <default-web-app application="default" name="defaultWebApp" /> line:
    <web-app application="default" name="mywar" root="/mywar" />
    Hope this helps

  • Deploy war file in oc4j 11110 preview

    hi
    i created a simple project in jdev11.
    with the help of the reply i got from the previous post i created a WAR file of the project.
    Now im trying to deploy it using oc4j 11110 preview stand alone server.
    the steps i followed are.
    1. using the command oc4j -start, i could start the server and i got the Welcome page.
    2. with the help of the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/oc4j11gtp/index.html
    i installed the adf runtime libraries as it is said in the link and also made necessary changes in the server.xml file
    3. Then created a website as said in the in the form <websitename>-web-site.xml (like default-web-site.xml)and said its path in server.xml file
    4. then i deployied the war file in command prompt according to the command said in Read me file in the oc4j 11110 preview.and the message was shown in the command prompt that the application was deployed successfully
    5. i started the application. and the message was shown in the command prompt that the application was started successfully
    6. then restarted the oc4j server
    now the problem is that im not getting the page.its showing 404 page not found error in the browser.
    but there is no error show in the log file or in the command prompt.
    Can anyone help me with this.
    i tried deploying a war created using eclipse in the same way which is uising jdev10 components.and i could it and run it successfully.
    plz help me

    I've one question about this. I do all above things without problems and my application runs in remote machine well. But some compilation errors apears in server log, and I think that perhaps is because I can't found the following libraries:
    copy %JDEVHOME%\bc4j\lib\bc4j-svc-client.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    copy %JDEVHOME%\bc4j\lib\bc4j-svc-share.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    copy %JDEVHOME%\bc4j\lib\bc4j-svc.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    copy %JDEVHOME%\BC4J\lib\bc4jwizard.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    copy %JDEVHOME%\BC4J\lib\mod-bc4jimdomains.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    copy %JDEVHOME%\BC4J\lib\adfrcutils.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    copy %JDEVHOME%\BC4J\lib\connmbean.jar %OC4JHOME%\BC4J\lib
    And I can't copy this libraries to server. Anyone know where I can found it?
    Thanks

  • Deploy a war file in oc4j

    hy guys
    i have a problem with my a *.war file. in tomcat the xplanner.war file works fine and the xplanner-application is ok and i can use it. but when i use the same xplanner.war file in oc4j i always get in the browser the message "500 Internal Server Error" although the file was loaded successful.
    is there something to consider in the oc4j setup?
    have anybody an idea about this problem?

    i tried all possibilities.
    war file: manually (by altering the xml files) and with the admin tool.
    ear file: manually and admin tool.
    i always get the this message (browser). though the file application loads successfully. it must be a setup problem i think.

  • [b]problem with deploy .war file

    Hi
    I am trying to deploy a war file. I have Oracle 9iAS (release 2) in Sun Solaris server.
    I am using the enterprise manager gui to try to deploy a .war file as follows.
    My .war file has the structure: folder META-INF, folder WEB-INF, and other folders. THe folder
    WEB-INF has the file web.xml and the folder classes.
    I connect to enterprise manager at port 1810 and go to the OC4J home page and under
    deployed applications, I choose under applications "Deploy WAR file". It takes me to the next page
    where I enter the war file (pippo.war)
    Application Name: pippo
    Map to URL: /pippo
    THe only choice I have then is to click the Deploy button. I then get the response
    "Failed to deploy web application "pippo". Jar file: /var/tmp/jar29056.tmp is missing its standard xml descriptor located at WEB-INF/web.xml"
    In that path there is not that file, there are 2 folders, one with the file .war and one with the file .ear
    I have no idea what this error message means.
    The documentation for deploying servlets in 9ias using enterprise manager makes no mention of this.
    Thanks,
    Marcella

    Marcella,
    Are you using Oracle9iAS 9.0.3 ?
    Does this happen with any war file ?
    Are you able to deploy a ear file without problems ?
    Can you please test if you can deploy your war in a
    OC4J standalone environment ? steps from the general faq available at http://otn.oracle.com/tech/java/oc4j
    How can I deploy a WAR file to OC4J standalone ?
    The command line deployment tool (admin.jar) requires an EAR file as it's deployment archive. To deploy a WAR file using this, you must package the WAR file within a EAR file.
    You can manually deploy a WAR file to OC4J However following are the steps involved in deploying a WAR file in OC4J.
    1. Copy the file to D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications where d:\oc4j is the location OC4J is installed in.
    copy mywar.war D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications
    2. Open the application.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config directory
    and add the following after the <web-module id="defaultWebApp" path="../default-web-app" />
    line:
    <web-module id="mywar" path="../applications/mywar.war" />
    3. Open the default-web-site.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config directory and add the following after the <default-web-app application="default" name="defaultWebApp" /> line:
    <web-app application="default" name="mywar" root="/mywar" />
    In Oracle9iAS Release 2; deployment of applications is done either using EM or via the DCM commands.
    thanks,
    -Prasad
