Can't undeploy war file
I have an application, and deploy the war file, I make a new war and when I go to deploy the next error appaers:
Error while de-serializing the information concerning the J2EE application from the PersistentObject named: inv with description: J2EE application: inv Root Cause:
oracle.ias.sysmgmt,common,Init.Parameters; is no Serializable.
In the web server the only change was modify the IP number.
What can I do?
Thanks,

Here are some links that might be helpful.
http://www.weblogic.com/docs60/servlet/admin.html
http://www.weblogic.com/docs60/programming/webappdeployment.html
The first link has an overview of web app structure and some useful links to
more information on web apps. The second link describes the web.xml and
weblogic.xml files.
Error messages related to web app creation and url resolution will be printed
in the weblogic.log file which is in the directory where you start the WebLogic
server.

I'm sure it has something to do with the structure of my war file or the deployment descriptors, can you point me to some good documentation of them. Also is there anyway to view error messages?

I am trying to undeploy a war file using the iasdeploy removemodule
-verbose csa.war command. It says that it finishing deploying, which is
odd, and then it still shows up in the IAS registry under the j2ee
modules. Is this the correct way to undeploy a war file? Is there
something else I have to do?
Thanks,
BryanAre you using kregedit or iASAT to verify the existence of the modules? My
experience is that for kregedit, you need to "collapse" and then "expand"
the J2EE Modules branch to see the latest changes after you remove the
modules. For iASAT, you need to perfrom a "refresh" action (an option from
the menu) to see the latest changes. BTW, I can remove module by using the
command just like what you did.

[email protected]Given your war file looks like this:
jspapp.war
|___ META-INF
| |___ Manifest.MF
|___ WEB-INF
| |___ web.xml
|
|___whatever.jspYou should copy the jspapp.war file to the webapps directory of your Tomcat (I'm assuming your using Tomcat).
Then your context would look like:
<Context path="/jspapp" docBase="jspapp" debug="0" reloadable="true"/>
You don't need the c:\. There is no c:\ in your war file. -

Can't load war file in v1.5.0 (created with 1.4.2)
An associate of mine created on war file in v1.4.2_06 and forwarded to me. I have the latest JAVA Studio creator (v1.5.0_04 bld 060120). The War file won't load when using "open->project". Ideas?
I assume you got a Creator 2004q2 (Creator 1) project and want to open it in Creator2?
You will have to import the old project:
File -> New Project and then in the dialog, select the Web category and the Import Creator 2004q2 Project.
I hope that's what you're after.

Deploying war files to weblogic 10.3.4
I have a weblogic domain 10.3.4 and a war file (smap.war). I can deploy this war file using weblogic console (10.3.4).
However, I cannot using ant (wldeploy 11.1.1.4) to deploy this war file. It shows error as follow.
This war file and weblogic domain is in the same machine.

I have same problem as Joe posted.
How come BEA support team does not answer this question?
It's Bea's application bug or is something wrong with our manipulation?Jane Luo wrote:

It's Bea's application bug or is something wrong with our manipulation?First the newsgroups are not BEA support. I would think it's fair to
not assume you have the right for a question to be answered in a
volunteer forum such as this. Second, what's Joe's problem? The only
public posting I see by anyone named Joe are on April 12th and March 9th
neither of which seem pertinent to exceptions when undeploying war files
as your subject indicates. Maybe you could post a specific problem
you're having and see if someone can help :-) -

}[JSP is used for server validation.
So you need a an application server (like Tomcat or Jboss) to execute your jsp files.
you can create the .war file of your simple jsp application and put it in the server.
then you will have to access your page using a web browser.
the URL will be
http://<ComputerName or IP Address>:<PortNumber>/<WarFileName>/<MainJspPage>
(eg: http://100.100.100.252:8080/SimpleApplication/mainPage.jsp)

Deploy .war file in Ebs 11i-11.5.10.2
Hi,
My boss is asking me to deploy the .war file in one of the EBS 11i - 11.5.10.2 instance. I am wondering to know how can we deploy .war in EBS 11i Instance?
If we can deploy the .war in EBS 11i Instance please post the high level steps and if not kinldy suggest the softwares how to deploy the .war?
As my understanding is We would required to install OC4J in new machine which will install the default DB and we can deploy the .war file in that OC4J server.
Thanks,
SyedHi,
I believe your understanding is correct. Please see (Note: 557221.1 - Oracle WebCenter 10g Application Creation and Deployment Guide for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12) but it is for R12 for the steps of deploying war files.

Pack java classes in to a war file
i cant pack the java classes when i build my web project i works fine in localhost but when i tried to proved in my server the war file doesnt pack the java classes. How do i pack the classes???
i tried in the properties to add the files in packing to add the files but i didnt work.
how do i pack the java classes???Are we talking about deploying a war file here or creating one???
If we are talking about deploying, it may very well be that auto deployment is turned off. In that case the server will have some kind of admin interface through which you can deploy your war file manually, this is server specific so I can't help you any further with it. -
WAR file fails to deploy WEB-INF/classes
Hi All
I am attempting to get a simple JPA on JSE app running on WLS 9.1. I can deploy my WAR file and access the jsps no problem, however the WEB-INF/classes directory is empty on deployment. How can I tell if the classes are being deployed correctly? I have tried using autodeploy and console deployment, always with the same result. My war file is structured as follows:
WEB-INF/
WEB-INF/faces-config.xml
WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
WEB-INF/web.xml
WEB-INF/classes/
WEB-INF/classes/my/test/package/{all classes}
WEB-INF/lib/{all reqd libs}
index.jsp
When I run the jsp, there are no errors, the classes just don't appear to be doing anything. The logs have absolutely nothing to help with this, I turned on app logging in weblogic.xml and it has nothing other than the initialization in it either.
I've deployed and run the exact same app (less the weblogic.xml file) successfully on Tomcat and OC4J, any ideas out there? Am I looking in the right place for the deployed class files (Checking the WL_HOME/samples\domains\wl_server\servers\examplesServer\tmp\_WL_user\jpa-example\xb6q08)?Hi,
I've faced the same issue in WLS9.2, and but it didn't affect my web application running, I guess that the classes are read from the WAR file directly, so for me to overcome this issue, I've changed the technique of how to install web application by selecting extracted war installation instead, and from the WLS Console selected
"I will make the deployment accessible from the following location" and selected the folder that contains the extracted WAR.
Hope this will help,

EAR/WAR File Deployment Query on WEBLOGIC SERVER
Hi,
We are running weblogic server version 10.3.4.0 where EAR/ WAR files deployed on single server and that has been configured in the current WebLogic Server domain. These applications are up and running fine. We need to deploy a new WAR file on the same domain. My questions are:
@ Whether I can deploy new WAR file without STARTing and STOPing weblogic server instance?
@ When deploying new WAR file, whether it will affect existing deployed files or will it affect any other running services for a fraction of second?
Note: This new WAR file is independent application and will not affect any other services in the future.
Please assist.
Thanks,
DheerajThank you for your help but the result is still the same.
I deployed the library on weblogic server suggested by you.
File Deployed as library = oracle.adf.desktopintegration.model.ear
From the folder = C:\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\modules\oracle.adf.desktopintegration.model_11.1.1
It is active.
After this I loaded jdeveloper and deploy the same sample application and found that the result is same.
Pls let me know where I am going wrong.
Regards,
Masood
