    Hi
    OCA questions and dumps questions
    Thanks

It is against the policies of Oracle Certification to provide brain dumps to Oracle exams.
If on the other hand, you want test prep advice, you can find the details on Oracle Education main site under certifications.

  • About OCA question

    Hi guys,
i'm going to make the OCA exam next month.
If a question like this appear, what would be the correct answer ?
Question: A table name can never be composed starting with number. Is it correct ?
what would be the correct answer, if we can have a table name with number, since this name is enclosed in double quotation marks ( " " ) ?
    thanks

    Hi,
For the exam, remember of the rules for nomination of tables and columns:
    (1) Must be initiated by a letter
    (2) Must have of 1 up to 30 characters
    (3) Must only contains A..Z, a..z, 0..9, and special characters like _, $, # only
    (4) Should not to be a private word of the Oracle
Take a look on these examples below:
    SQL> create table order (cod number);
    create table order (cod number)
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00903: invalid table name
    SQL> create table example (
      2  id# number primary key,
      3  order$ number not null,
      4  date_1 date default sysdate,
      5  column2 varchar2(5),
      6  "cust_id" number);
    Table created.
    SQL> desc example
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    ID#                                       NOT NULL NUMBER
    ORDER$                                    NOT NULL NUMBER
    DATE_1                                             DATE
    COLUMN2                                            VARCHAR2(5)
    cust_id                                            NUMBER
    SQL> create table "hi! are you ok?" (cod number, "12345" number);
    Table created.
SQL> desc "hi! are you ok?"
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    COD                                                NUMBER
12345                                              NUMBERNow, about "double quotes", I think that OCA exam just want to test whether you know about the rules for nomination of tables and columns.
    Good Luck!
    Cheers

  • OCA example questions on Oracle website

May I ask those with more experience -- the sample OCA exam questions on the Oracle website (not any purchased practice test, just the 8 example questions) seem more devilish to me than any training materials or books I have read. The code is unformatted and unindented, deliberately tricky, static blocks popping up willy-nilly outside of methods and such, and for every question you just have to hack it out line by line. Whereas on practice tests I am scoring well, I got most of these samples wrong at first pass. There's not a single sample question there that's anything like the simple multiple choices I am getting in practice exams about basic concepts such as what is inheritance, what are interfaces, what is an abstract class, etc. etc. I guess my question is -- should I really be getting ready for 90 scary code-deciphering questions, even though my training materials reassure me I am doing just peachy? [I am keenly worried, by the way, about this question making it look like I don't like digging into troublesome code or that I am whining that it is "too hard."]
P.S. I am such a newbie I guess that I don't know basic things, but I am curious as to what the term "brain dump" means -- I have read on the forum that it is a form of cheating. I infer that it is basically training for exams by using quickie cheat-sheets instead of truly absorbing and knowing the material? Is that the definition? Why in heck would somebody want to get a certification that way if they couldn't actually do the work?
    Best wishes to all.

Best wishes to all.I sometimes refer, somewhat cynically as is my way, to the 8 or so samples questions as the 'beta rejects' ... questions that were tried on the beta exam but rejected for the production exam. From my memory (perhaps a little poor) some are less than perfect.

  • OCA general question

    hi every body !
m a newbie preparing for oracle OCA ...
i wanted to ask a simple question.. i have searched abt it and found this at oracle uni regarding DBA fundamentals 1 exam ...
Oracle9i Database Administration Fundamentals I (Database and Grids)
This course counts towards the Hands-on course requirement for the Oracle 9i Database Administrator Certification. Only instructor-led inclass or instructor-led online formats of this course will meet the Certification Hands-on Requirement. Self Study CD-Rom and Knowledge Center courses are excellent study and reference tools but DO NOT meet the Hands-on Requirement for certification.
my question is is it necessary to attend some instructor led training ?
or can we pass it by using self study cd rom
thnx in advance for any guidance u provide ....
    regards !

British Telecom eye doughnut heavily accelerating vehicle binary garden material.Dang! So obvious! ¿How could I miss that? ;)
    @shaaquille
It's just some good advice and you'll need to take it very serious in (the near?) in the future.
If you want to learn it the hard way or the right way is up to you.
Just trying to explain that by using IM speak, you'll get less response to your questions in the end/on the long run:
Your resultset will be much much smaller, whereas 'resultset' stands for:
    - People who will respond to your questions since they understand what you mean.
    vs.
    - People who won't respond to your questions since they don't understand at all what you mean.
So: in a way: IM speak is a predicate on your query(='question').
You limit the results of possible answers by using it.
All clever people who have earned their skills refrain from using IM speak.
Just so they can be clear, to-the-point and being understood in many countries over the world.
Just so they cannot be misunderstood.
Don't forget: OTN is 24/7 worldwide, it's international.
Tom Kyte wouldl probably make fun of you (and he does it terribly well ;) ), if you'd ever get the chance to ask him a tough question using the same way of expressing yourself as you do now.
SQL or PL/SQL wouldn't do anything as well (except raising errors), if you don't use the correct syntax and make up your own shortcuts...
What you ask has got to be 'parsed' by other readers and if you add some IM speak layer on top of it, many 'compilers' outside your near 'hood' won't be able to parse it, while on the other hand you might have gotten a great answer...

  • Question for 11g OCA certifications

    Hi All,
I completed the 1Z0-007: Intro to 9i SQL back in 2003 and never got round to completing the other cert exams.
My question is, is this exam still valid or would the first exam need to take place again? Do the exam reults expire?
I see it is still mentioned as as one of the exams you can complete for it.
    Thanks for the help.
    Stuart

Yes, you are very much eligible for writing OCA 11g Certification Exams. All you need to do is, while registering for OCA Exam, that show your Oracle 9i SQL Exam details to the Prometric center and other details when you passed that exam.
For more information on OCA/OCP 11g Exams take a look at the below URL.

  • A few Questions about OCA DBA

Hello everyone, I currently passed the second test required for my OCA-DBA certification, 1Z0-052-ENU, sadly my 3 attempts on singing onto http://certview.oracle.com were invalid " and not sure why because all my Info was properly given ", My 4 questions, *#1* : is my Certification Kit gonna be delayed because I cant log into certview ? *#2*: why does perasonvue.com show my oracle tests as "taken" and not passed ? all of my other certifications show passed in the Status tab. just thought it was a little weird. *#3*: To Download My logo I have to wait for the kit correct ? *#4*: was I suppose to do something else but going into certview after passing my test or are all of the steps I tried to take properly in place?
Anyways I appreciate any replies concerned to this issue I currently have, and I wish everyone a wonderful day

This is quite normal. Automatic authentication by certview only happens if everything is perfect and the weather is fine. Otherwise Certview send goes off for a manual check.
My 4 questions, *#1* : is my Certification Kit gonna be delayed because I cant log into certview ?Your authentication should be sorted in 3 working days or so. It won't affect the delivery time of your certification kit ( 6 to 8 weeks or sometimes a little more) (Unless things work in more mysterious ways than I can imagine!)
*#2*: why does perasonvue.com show my oracle tests as "taken" and not passed ? all of my other certifications show passed in the Status tab. just thought it was a little weird.I assume here you are talking about the PearsonVue website.
I think 'taken' is fine, it may eventually go to passed. I recall this being brought up some time ago. I am too busy to check this out.
Pearson vue from an oracle viewpoint doesnt deal in the 'certification ' entities. It only deals with 'exams'.
*#3*: To Download My logo I have to wait for the kit correct ?From once you are authenticated on Certview, and the Certifcation database has received your passed, and the Certification rules process has deemed you to be certified and entered your certification ino the certifcation database and certview then you can download the logo from certview.
*#4*: was I suppose to do something else but going into certview after passing my test or are all of the steps I tried to take properly in place?certview registration is optional but ever so strongly recommended. It enables you to confirm quicky the certifcation is awarded.

  • Oracle 10g  OCA  exams pass question

Please does anyone know any website where oracle 10g pass exam are posted for free or if anyone has got some pass exams could you post them please.
    Thanks in advance

You only wanted to pass OCA certifiation by getting dump of questions.
It would be more worthy that you make practice and once you are confident with the subject, then appear for exam, dont simply depend on dummy question to pass OCA. Believe me, this is worthless.
Hint: search at yahoo groups for ocpfree.

  • I am preparing for OCA exam. I am confused in below question

Two tables with highly restrictive search criteria, indexes on the common column need to be joined and response time needs to be improved. Which type is suitable?
    a. Sort-Merge
    b. Nested Loop
    c. Hash
    d. Cluster Join
I think it is Nester Loop but sometime I saw Cluster Join as an answer.

What do you mean 'sometime I saw Cluster Join as an answer'? Where did you see answers to that question?
Where did you see that question? Post a link to the source.
There is no way to know what type of join, if any, is being used now or how many rows are in each of the tables.
There is also no way to know how many rows the query is expected to return. There could be two large tables and a query that need ALL rows and all columns from both tables.
A cluster join can only be used if both tables are in the same cluster. And then if  a join is currently being done it is probably already a cluster join.
There is not enough info to know the answer. So why do you think nested loop is the answer?
Here is a brief doc that talks about different join types you might find interesting:

  • Question regarding oca

Hii,iam preparing for oca- and i want to know which oracle 9i edition i install ,and will i have to install anything different to practice isql*plus & i want some practice ques from where i get these or which books i follow to do best in my exam iam dumb i do know where to start ,though i know basic queries, plz anyone can give me complete details regarding my certification

Well I shall start from saying that the release for whichyou are prepairing is a pretty old now. Atleast you should start from 10g.Anyways, the software that youw ould be requiring to learn/practise your exam contents can be downloaded from here,
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/htdocs/linuxsoft.html
You don't need anything else except this database software to finish all the labs for the exam.
About the books, for OCA,these two books would be enough,

If you prepare them well, you dont need any exam dumps to use. Just prepare them well and go for it.

  • Question about  oca and Ocp 10 g dba

    Hi all
I want to prepare DBA 10g exam,  OCA and ocp  .
    Can I provide exam 1z0-007 instead of 1z0-051 ?
    Thx alot

I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be gathering from that article except that it is obsolete.  It's from About.com, not Oracle.com and so is not definitive (and even Oracle's website occasionally has errors).  In five minutes I could get you ten articles from the Web about Oracle 8i certifications, and they've been retired for years.
How about this for a definitive link.  It's from the Oracle site and specifically notes that 1Z0-007 retired on July 31, 2013.
