Once the question is actually seen, someone will (hopefully) respond with either a direct answer or a suggestion on a better forum. Kind of like asking for the best place to get your car fixed when we don't know if you are having a problem with brakes, engine, electrical system, muffler .. . .

ODBC - where are the tables

Newbie installation of Oracle XE on Windows.
Created tables A,B and view C as user SYSTEM.
Created user readonly and granted select to readonly for A,B,C.
Created ODBC link for user readonly.
When I try to link to these table in MS Access,
I get a list of about 1000 tables to choose from,
none of which is SYSTEM.A, SYSTEM.B, or SYSTEM.C.
Similar thing happens with ODBC link for user SYSTEM,
except that there are even more tables accessible from Access
(still, not A,B, or C).
Where are the tables?

1) You should never, ever create tables owned by SYSTEM or SYS. Those schemas should be used only for Oracle-owned objects.
2) If you create an APP_OWNER schema and create tables there, are you able to see them through ODBC?
3) Which ODBC driver are you using?

Please correct your porfile: iPhone 4 do not have IOS 6.1.4.
The usual troubleshooting steps are, also remember to test it after every step:
1. Restart
2. Reset
3. Restore from backup
4. Restore as new.
If no joy, make an Appointment with the Apple genius and have them evaluate

The Popular Forums area (Forum Home) disappears somehow

Hi Experts,
1.The Popular Forums Section will disappear sometimes. (Under Forum Home)
2.As a user requirement, we use A URL iView under Homepage to Capture and
Display the Popular Forums Section.
3.When the Popular Forums has no item (disappear), the URL iView will
display the whole page of Forum Home which will mess up the Homepage.
p.s. without a new post on the forum for A day, the Popular Forums area will
disappear.

I'm sorry to hear about the service problems you've encountered, terminationshok. I'll do all I can to assist you in speeding things up. Do most of the problems occur indoors and outdoors? Have we ever opened a resolution ticket to address any of these problems? Does your phone ever switch to 3G? Please provide me with a few more details and I'll get to work.

Forums are really buggy

ANy one else noticed that these forums are really buggy. Notice the caps N in any, if I change it, it will take me about tthree or four attempts to get the right word with the correct grammer. Also having probs where sometimes the keyboard does not type onto the screen. Have to keep zooming out and zooming in just to type a word. Rather ironic having a forum which helps users solve problems which in turn is very buggy .
I would be very interested in other people who have these problems as want to know if it is a bug or my phone, took me about 10 mins to wright this due to keyboard not typing and correcting the double caps which randomly appear after a full stop

This particular implementation of Jive is especially wonky...if you type, get a suggestion in the blue balloon and dismiss the suggestion, it locks up typing. On an iOS device, tap the small keyboard key at the lower right of the keyboard, the one used to split the keyboard, and that will dismiss the keyboard. Then tap the screen where you were typing and you can continue. After a few experiences with this you can get really fast at it.
For the double caps, type the first letter and then hit the shift key to take it off caps and continue.

Forums are Terrible service on OTN

These forums are the worst service from otn. It seems Oracle technology its not enought to handle 24/7 service to this forums!!!! Lots of 404, lots of missing images, lots of erros acessing forums!!!! It st**ks!

Thanks for confirming.
But this time it's really really annoying, why would one put so much effort in upgrading the forums, and ending up even worse, without any fricking feedback to the users and posting none whatsoever update regarding status? It's like those big birds from Australia, who keep bury their head in sand...
I cannot understand why bugs that were fixed months ago are reoccurring all of a sudden, unless someone made a bummer/restored a wrong backup/has connections with Indian callgirls and so on...

The current date and time setting is on set automatically. No I do not use a network extender. I have reset all network settings. I also did a FULL reset of my phone after I backed it up on through iTunes. The phone is STILL not showing the correct time. iMessage won't activate. The phone says I am connected to Wi-Fi when I am not... causing me to get very close to going over my data limit... with two weeks left in my billing cycle. So many features I can't use... such as alarm clock, calendar, reminders, etc. I can still make calls and send texts... but sure can't check my call log and messages to see what time a call or message came through.... so horribly frustrating. I pay way too much money to Verizon for these phones and for my monthly bill to have to deal with a malfunctioning piece of junk that NO ONE can seem to find a solution for.
I appreciate your attempt to help KevinR_VZW... but it seems this situation is hopeless. I am just stuck with a not so smartphone until my contract is up... UNFORTUNATELY!@

Yes, Mozilla is indeed doing very well but they're a bit worried about the IRS audit that is currently going on.

It throws a popup only the first time you launch the app, to confirm whether you wish to have notifications enabled for that specific app.

Can we condense the two ODBC forums

Under Technologies | Windows, there are two different forums for discussing ODBC and nothing, apparently, to differentiate the two forums. Under the old structure, this at least accomplished the objective of having ODBC discussions with two different navigation paths, since different users might look for the forum differently. Now, however, there's no real function to having two different forums. Can we condense them into one?

But by going through View creation involves ABAP help, that I dont want.
However, is it poosible to use View while creating the reports in Report Painter? I am not sure.
I want to know whether can we create a table which is used for report painter, so that I can use for creating the Library and then the reports.

Forums are all screwed up (again)

If a user selects to view 'no reply' posts, then many of them have been deleted - why then do they appear at all in the listing? It is completely stupid to list a number of posts appearing to be there only to constantly get a 'This item has been deleted.'
page. Example:
The display information on post is also screwed up. For example, the header below show 5 replies, yet open the thread and there are actually 6 replies.
And *why* do blank lines get stripped out?

The remark about deleted posts I made was only one of many. I probably saw 5 or 6 on the first couple of pages. It is just a right pain in the a*** to have to reload several times due to the 'server error' pages only to find it to be a deleted post.
OK, the post header stats are being investigated, thanks.
The blank lines removal seems a bit of an overkill when the forum allows loooong code listings, many images and etc - the blank line removal isn't really saving any space in the main.

I don't know where to pose these questions. I'm going nuts with these forums, specifically the InDesign forum. I've sent multiple emails to "[email protected]," but, nobody responds.
I have to close down Safari and go back in three or four times before I can get the forum link to work. It's just dead there.
I no longer get email notifications when someone has answered a question I posed. I have to manually go into the forum every half hour or so to see if anyone's responded. The forum used to be much "healthier" in that regard. I was always notified when I got a response from anyone.
I opened a discussion yesterday. But, today, there's no way for me to continue or see that discussion anymore. Only the most current discussions are shown. And, there's no visible way for me to see any "old" ones.

Did you by any chance do as it says here to STOP notices?
Oh... and you do not receive an actual email, you receive a notice in the orange circle to the left of your avatar picture at the top right of the forum screen
Click your avatar picture near the upper right corner (slightly to the left of the pencil) and select PREFERENCES then set all Email Preferences to OFF and click Save at the bottom left
AND
Another new "feature" is that Jive7 is oriented toward social networking... so every time you start or reply to a message you are automatically added to a FOLLOW list... meaning you receive a notification of every subsequent message in that thread

Forums are for questions...

I know that posts offering Apple product feedback have always been an issue, and it's probably just at the usual 'noise' level that it always has been - but it's still irritating.
It's probably also irritating to those people who think that this place is their personal hotline to Steve Jobs. This is a prime example; http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=247765&tstart=50 with implied threats and all!
Yes, there are sporadic links to Apple Feedback pages, but couldn't there be a more specific imprecation at the top of a forum page along the lines: "This Discussions forum is for <product name> users to get answers from other users. If you want to send a suggestion for a feature request to Apple DO NOT post here but follow this link: http://etc"

Design Forums are all jacked up

This is the 1st one that is screwed up, look and the Last Post times. Seems to me like this forum also had some posts that were within the last week as well. Also I cannot get the 'mark all as read' to work on this one:

Do you know if people have been getting "Content approved" or "Content rejected" notifications for these threads recently? I know some moderators have been clearing out the queue of several months of abuse reports recently and changes to the moderation status may be causing this in part.
This was in response to threads that were "locked" and not showing posts for a while (until several other posts were made in the same thread). And these threads were being shown as "updated" on the main forum and the last poster was not being shown.
These are two separate things. The forums I posted in this topic are not "updated" the original poster and the last poster are the same. They have simply been "moved" to the top of the forum.
