Odbc.ini entry on local unix server to connect to a T10 on remote server

I am trying to setup an entry in the ODBC.INI file on local unix server that has T10 client installed. I want to connect to a T10 datastore on a different server using this ODBC entry (client/server connection for a Informatica tool)
Could some one tell me how this ODBC.INI entry should look like on my local server.

Say your remote dsn is called 'mydsn' and your remote server called 'TTserver' then the entry on the client machine would be:
[mydsn_cs]
TTC_SERVER_DSN=mydsn
TTC_SERVER=myserver
You would then also need an entry in the sys.ttconnect.ini file as follows:
[myserver]
Network_Address=TTserver
TCP_PORT=<port of server daemon on server>
The port of the server daemon is typicaly 2 more than the port of the main daemon - you can check this by typing 'ttStatus' and looking for the line starting with 'TimesTen server pid'.
Then test your connection with 'ttIsqlCS mydsn_cs'.
*Note: the dsn entry for 'mydsn' on the server needs to be in the sys.odbc.ini file. It can not be in a private .odbc.ini file.

We are using OBIEE 10g and source is Teradata 13. We have to configure the DSN in such a way that if the primary server A goes down BI application should point to secondary server B on which the report can run. Please note that severs A and B will always be in sync. Is there any way to achieve this?

DCOM errors on site server when connecting to site systems in remote untrusted domains

When the site component manager and sms executive is trying to access site systems in remote domains in untrusted forest i got a lot of events in the system log with event id 10028:
"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <computername> using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID 32a4 (D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\x64\sitecomp.exe)."
"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <computername> using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID 2990 (D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\x64\smsexec.exe)."
I have checked the sitecomp.log and smsexec.log for errors, but I can´t find anything wrong and everything seems to be working fine. I am using Site system installation account to connect to the site systems. Is this normal behavior?

Here's the answer from SA support:
Reason behind the errors in DCOM :The SCCM 2012 Server will always connect to all the MPs with the system account, and will use the console provided remote forest credentials only to run the MP
management.
Whenever we attempt a connection SCCM build a list of available accounts (Site System Installation Account
+ Machine Account) and loop through them attempting each option in turn. The machine account is always (as far as I know) a member of this list – if you don’t specify
a site system connection account then it will never connect if the machine account fails – but that’s not the same as saying specifying a site system connection account means we won’t try the machine account first.
So this is something "by design" and shouldn't cause any troubles to the SCCM systems.

The first question I have is, which odbc.ini file should I edit?
The tech reference says navigate to /home/Common/ODBC/Merant/x.x/odbc.ini but I have 5 folders under Merant...

The main problem I have is making the new connection show in EAS client, I have edited all the 5 of the ODBC.ini files on our Unix essbase server to include our DB name and left the values as default (for testing purposes), what I have found is that the new connection name does not appear in the SQL data sources as a drop down menu, do I need to restart anything to make the new value show in EAS?

To answer my own question, the path to the true odbc.ini file is located here...ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OPMN/opmn/opmn.xml, in my case, EAS was refering to an odbc.ini file located in my ARBORPATH and not /u02/oracle/obi11d/fmw/Oracle_BI1/common/ODBC/Merant/6.0/lib/ARora24

Trouble 'putting' dynamic web pages to remote server

I have a site defined in DWCS5. I have two servers defined, a local testing server on my computer and the remote server at the hosting company. I have no connection problems with either. I can put 'static' web pages from the local testing server to the remote server without any problems.
But when I try to 'put' a page that relies on dynamic content from my local testing server, all of the connection code is based on the local connection, it doesn't get updated to the remote connection code. When I browse to the page on the remote server, I get errors, essentially file not found errors because the connection code is looking for the local resourses.
Warning: require_once(../Connections/localhost.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream:
The code should read require_one(../Connections/bluehost.php) to run properly on the remote server.
There are two different connection files in the Connections sub directory. There is the one with the connection code to access the local database and then there is another with the connection code to access the remote server's database. The code in both files is correct and works when called on the appropriate server.
If I go through and edit on the remote server and manually correct the code, the page will work, but then my local page has the remote server's connection strings and won't work again. I'm getting really good at running FIND/REPLACE.
I just have to change the name of the connection.
I need to be able to transfer a dynamic page from local to remote and have the connection code updated so that the code on the remote is for the remote and the code on the local is the code for the local.

I think I figured out my own problem.
I made the database connection information exactly the same for the local server database and the remote server database. Now when I upload the local data to the remote server it seems to be working.
I guess I over thunk it.

The remote server returned an error :(401) unauthorized in Provider hosted app deployment

We are trying to deploy the provider hosted app in server environment . we are getting the "The remote server returned an error :(401) unauthorized" error after deploy the app in server.
stack Trace:
[webException:Te remote server returned an error:(401) UnAuthorized.]
System.Net.HeepWebRequest.GetResponse().
Followed the same MSDN steps , but sill same error. We have attached the certificate and using the same issuer ID in the app web.config.
Verified the IIS setting and still getting the same error when we call the "Clientcontext.ExecuteQuery()" method.
Same code is working fine in my Local dev environment.
If anyone have idea about this issue, please let me know.

WEBSITE NOT REFLECTING EDITS OF HTML FILE THAT WAYS SUCCESSFULLY "PUT" TO REMOTE SERVER

Help! I'm hoping there is a simple reason why I can't get my simple edits to reflect on the website.Here is what I have done/tried:
1. opened and added one simple line of text (with one link to a pdf) to one page of the pre-exisitng site.
2. checked both properties and code to make sure everything matched the preceding, similar line of text
3. connected successfully to remote site through dreamweaver
4. tried both "putting" and synchronizing the file (along with dependent files)
5. the first time I did this I got the message that "no syncronization info is available" from the remote site
6. clicked ok (after going back and unchecking "maintain synchronization information," and making sure there were no sync files in the _name folders)
7. it took a long time to upload all of the files from the local site. when it finished, the log stated that everything put successfully, but the website
doesn't look any different.
Our root folder is saved on our server. We just recently changed web host providers.
Also, for each webpage, there are two html files (one general and then one with a 1, 2 or 3 column descriptor). I edited and put both to the site, but is there
something I should know about these two files?
?? I just need to make some really simple edits and I don't understand why they are not showing up!!??

Well, one site definition has the ability to contain local and multiple remote site specifications. Under the basic Site category in the Site definition, you will see the path to the local root folder. Under the Servers category, you will see each server that has been defined - usually a Remote server (that would be your web hosting account) and a Testing server (if you are coding a site with server scripting). It's normally the case, with a simple, static HTML site, to have just Local and Remote details in your site definition.
I called our host (Go Daddy) to ask what the name of the root directory was and they instructed me to just leave that blank. so right now it just appears as \
Actually, it should be either blank or "/" (the regular slash).
If you are able to see the dummy file that you browsed to but still do not see changes made to other files, then it must be that the host is caching files on your site. You would have to ask them that question. Otherwise, you should see changes that have been uploaded immediately.

Anyway, there are two aspects to your question:
1. running a script (presumably a .SQL script or similar).
Oracle doesn't provide much in the way of built-ins to run scripts. Scripts are OS tools, and generally intended to be invoked from an OS agent (a shell script, SQL*Plus, etc). One option for running scripts is to build a Java Stored Procedure which mimics teh SQL*Plus HOST command. Tom Kyte has an example of this. Find it here: http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:952229840241 Alternatively, as others have pointed out, DBMS_SCHEDULER supports running OS executables (since 10g). This would be a good solution if you want to run the script repeatedly, at definable times.
2. accessing a remote directory
The database can only access local directories. If you want it to be able to access a remote directory you will need to persuade your sysadmin or network admin to share the requisite drive and create a mapping to it on your database server.
As for other ways of doing it, well the best way is to avoid the need for a script in the first place. Oracle has added a whole bundle of functionality to the database which increasingly render shell scripts obsolete. If you can explain what your script does we might be able to explain how to implement it as a pure PL/SQL solution.

I have a requirement as below..........this is mainly to look for a solution where we can see a environment.............where we can stop developer to install flex builder locally, download/check out code locally and work locally ..............Please have a look ........
1. There is Remote Server hosting our source code say 1st Remote Server
2. There is another 2nd Remote Server which support workspace for each user
3. Flex Builder installed in the 2nd Remote Server
4. Each Developer connects to the 2nd Remote Server via VNC etc log in to their workspace
5. Each developer check out code in their workspace by connecting to 1st Remote Server.
6. Start Flex Builder instance which is running in the 2nd Remote Server
5. Each developer open source code modifies, build application in their workspace and check

My issue is not with the license. The solution that I am looking for is
1. Don't want the developer to download the source code in any fashion either checked out or anything else in the local machine
2. Want the developer to work directly on the server
3. Looking for a solution where each developer is not required to install Flex Builder locally and the developer can use Flex Builder that is installed on the server and in his workspace and create/modify build on the server itself

COM+ Application Update Activation Remote Server Name

We have a 3rd party application during installation it asks for a server name then it creates a COM+ application that registers the server name in the Activation tab for Remote Server Name.
I've found the Remote Server Name in the registry to change however that doesn't change the value in the Activation tab for the COM+ application. My question is: Is there a way to change the value in the Remote Server Name without having to manually
change it on each computer? I can't find any other keys in the Registry to change the Remote Server Name.

Unfortunately since Group policy object or Group policy group policy preferences won’t affect 3rd party application configurations, I am afraid that If we cannot find relevant Registry entry, there might be no way to get that goal by using
building feature in Windows. Since we are not expert about this application, I’d suggest contact with this app vendor/developer check if there is any .conf file for deploy, there you might get more effective suggestion by experts who familiar with
practice on this.
Also you could try to change the value from application interface, and at the same time using process monitor to check that if any registry value modification occurs.

You got an NEP on the server, which points to either a misconfiguration of the server (is hte adf runtime installed?) or an error in your app.
What did you deploy? an EAR? Are the connections configured correctly? Have you check other logs on the remote server?
Which jdev Version? Which remote server?

I have updated my webpage - its updated on my remote server "using dreamweaver" and the date has changed, but when i go online to check nothing has changed.

all is connected, dates changed in the remote server, i have cleared my history so that its not just going to its memory but actually looking for the page.
does anyone have any ideas?

Best way to submit a query recordset to a remote server

Hello, everyone.
I've been tasked with a project that will involve querying a table on one server, then sending the data to a remote server that will take the data and insert it into another database (the two db cannot communicate directly with each other.)
I've never had to do something like this, before. What is the best way to achieve the desired results? Is there a way to "submit" a query (anywhere from 1 to 5 records at any given time) to the remote server without incorporating WDDX?
CF9 environment, soon to be CF10.

Not permitted.
It's kind of tedious, but what I've worked, so far, is to have CF1 select data from DB1, SerializeJSON the data, use cfhttp to POST the data to CF2.
THEN, CF2 DeserializeJSON the data back into a query object and insert that into DB2.
Unless you think there's a better way to do it?
