ODI file append with unix command problem

Hi everyone,
I will apennd multiple files to a main file in a directory.I wrote jython code like this:
import os
sourceDirectory = "/home/oracle1/Desktop/test"
inFileNames = "#FILE_NAMES"
inFileNamesList = inFileNames.split(" ")
inFileIDS = *"'a','1','2','3'"*
inFileIDSList = inFileIDS.split(",")
i = 0
for item in inFileNamesList:
     command ="awk 'BEGIN {OFS=\"" + "#FILE_DELIMITER\"" + "} {print $0,\"[|]\"" + *inFileIDSList* + ",\"[|]\"NR}' " + sourceDirectory + os.sep + item + " >> " + sourceDirectory + os.sep + "#SESS_CURR_TS"
     os.system(command)
     i = i + 1
Now my problem is here :
Yu can seee my inFileIDS values.Ana I have splitted comma and then first I will write file then *inFileIDSList[i]* and at the and NR
But character a is not written.Number values is appended but character values is not appended.
Why it can be so ?
someone has an idea about this problem
Coluld anyone help me to solve this problem?
Regards

import os
sourceDirectory = "#SOURCE_DIRECTORY"
inFileNames = "#FILE_NAMES"
inFileNamesList = inFileNames.split(" ")
inFileIDS = "#FILE_IDS"
inFileIDSList = inFileIDS.split(",")
i = 0
for item in inFileNamesList:
     command ="awk 'BEGIN {OFS=\"" + "#FILE_DELIMITER\"" + "} {print $0,\"\"*FILENAME*}' " + sourceDirectory + os.sep + item + " >> " + sourceDirectory + os.sep + "#SESS_CURR_TS"
     os.system(command)
     i = i + 1
My original code is above.Now I am printing file datas and I want to print file name that are being ready.
First print$0(all line) and field_delimiter(;) and then I will print filename which file is processed.My output file will be like this:
all line;FILENAME
But I write FILENAME into awk command it returns with path .So for example likie this:/d102/odi/uca/arrival/data/T02344903302310.txt .But I want to print only file name without paths.
I want to print T02344903302310.txt so my output file will be like this:
all_line;T02344903302310.txt and there are many files like this.
Could anyone has an idea?

    Trying to import a .mov file made with gotomeeting - no problems in past doing this. After 3 attempts recording the hour long video and trying to upload it to iMovie, it says No importable files -None of the selected files or folders can be imported. Change the selection and try again. What could the reason be?

    After much research and troubleshooting, GoToMeeting replied with the final answer: We do not support the uploading of recordings to editing software. If you are having issues uploading a recording, unfortunately, we do not have tools or steps to resolve this. It is not a supported feature. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
    The no longer plan to support editing of recordings made with their software.  So, we are planning to find a new meeting provider.

  • Problem With UNIX command in ODI Environment.

    A procedure is used in our package which involves moving a file from a folder to another in a UNIX server.
    The procedure uses an OS command - 'os.system' to execute unix command.
    The unix command is a grep command which seems to work fine when executed alone.
    But when this procedure is executed ,it fails.
    The following code raises an error and the procedure fails.:
    if os.system(cmd) <> 0:
    raise "command fails","see agent output for details";
    Whenever we are trying to reverse,we get "file not Found " error.
    We tried to execute the jython code by placing the files in local directories. The same error appears both when the file is in local and when it is in a remote directory.
    This is the error we get:

    Hi,
    The unix command is a grep command which seems to work fine when executed alone. :-
    I guess you executed this from your Unix server , so it work fines.
    And when you are trying to execute outside from this (using ODI) , its failing , right ?
    Can you please check the permission settings for that script file (sh).
    Please try by giveing the full permission (specifically execution permission) for all users connecting from other machines.
    This can be one of the reason for the failure .
    please let me know if this is not working

  • URGENT!! problems with Unix command, please help

    I am trying to use the following Unix command and I keep getting error messaages from stdError. However if I run the same command from the command line it works perfectly. For some reason when I run the command from inside the program it thinks the append symbol ">>" is another file.
    String command = " cat /users/02/wjoc1/Test/list.mod >> /users/02/wjoc1/Test/Blacklist ";
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
    The error get is :
    /bin/cat: >>: No such file or directory
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    The better solution for this problem is write a shell script for the action you wnat to perform and execute it using the runtime.exec().In your case just cut and paste cat /users/02/wjoc1/Test/list.mod >> /users/02/wjoc1/Test/Blacklist in to a file and save it. use that file as a argument for the exec method it will work.
    cheers

  • Problem with Updating clients with UNIX command

    Hi.
    Until this day, I used to update all our 50 client macs by manually logging in as administrator via ARD and choosing Software Update from the apple menu, this works always and I use our own servers SUS so the downloading is really fast. Still, this clearly is time consuming and annoying when you have this many clients. I have now done some search and I know I could do this by sending unix command to clients using ARD. First I had problems with running the command, then I noticed I need to run this as root. Then it "works".
    Works, not quite. It starts to run, and I can see all the output. I have tried this with few clients and the results are confusing. The following is an output from one client I send the command "softwareupdate -i -r"

    Validating packages…
    Writing files…
    Running package scripts…
    Removing old files…
    Optimizing system for installed software…
    Moving items into place…
    Registering updated components…
    And thats it, it stops there. Few clients completed the task, but the output says that they skipped the installation of all updates. In the case above, there is some skipping too, and I don't know what it means. Yesterday I left one client to this part where its Registering updated components.... , and today when I came in, it's still there, and the task is still running. When I update the clients with the Software Update from apple menu, it takes usually 10 minutes max to complete the whole process, download and install. After I restarted the same client and ran the manual Software Update from apple menu, it shows the same updates, it didn't do anything???
    Am I doing something wrong with the command?

    I am having the same issue. I send the unix command to some test clients to install all updates. The process never finishes and stays at "Registering updated companents....". (See screen shot)
    I have manually restarted some of the clients after waiting a very long time. All updates seem to have been installed. I am wondering why the task hangs at this point. I want to be able to ran ASU with this Unix method on the 450+ macs that I manage at work, but it scares me that the task never seems to finish.

  • ODI Import by using UNIX Command in 11.1.1.3

    Hi,
    I am trying to use a Unix script for importing several ODI Components. I am avoiding the GUI as there are lot of ODI files needed for the import. The Source and the destination Repositories are both in 11.1.1.3 version
    For eg: I have the following:
    -- File to be imported: "TAB_W_RTL_ORG_D_TMP.xml" and kept under the following location "/u00/odi/product/11113/oracledi/agent/bin/".
    -- Import Mode is INSERT_UPDATE
    -- ODI Work Rep Name = RA133POC_WORK
    Command I am exeuting from the $ODI_HOME/bin directory:
    ksh startcmd.sh OdiImportObject "-FILE_NAME=/u00/odi/product/11113/oracledi/agent/bin/TAB_W_RTL_ORG_D_TMP.xml" "-IMPORT_MODE=SYNONYM_INSERT_UPDATE" "-WORK_REP_NAME=RA133POC_WORK" -"IMPORT_SCHEDULE=YES"
    But I am getting an odi tool error:

    Can anybody help me on this at the earliest...?
    Thanks,
    Shib

    Hi Shib,
    This is a BUG in ODI 11.1.1.3 and may be in latest patch 11.1.1.5.0 oracle would have fixed it, check with MOS.

  • File Uploading with two command button

    Hi all,
    After a long I return back.
    I am having a JSP page with some mandatory fields and one attach document field.
    I am using JSF framework so for file upload i used the tag <t:inputfileupload>, for compulsion fields I used the attribute required = true.
    My problem is,
    If i attach the file and click attach button before filling mandatory fields the action method is not called. Only after filling the mandatory fields the action method is called. What may be the reason for this?
    Is there any example for file uploading with in form and it has two separate command buttons?

If you check your log files it will most likely be mentioned there.

  • Option append with spool command create tow different file.

    I have this situation:
    DEFINE USERNAME=PIPPO
    DEFINE VERSIONE=02.02.02
    spool &USERNAME_file_&VERSIONE.log
    ---do some stuff
    spool off
    spool &USERNAME_file_&VERSIONE.log append
    -- do some stuff
    spool off
    Oracle doesn't append things in the forst log. byt create two log:
    pippo_file_02.02.02.log
    pippo_file_02.02.02log.lst
    I also try with:
    spool &USERNAME_file_&VERSIONE..log append
    Why

    Hi!
    Have you tried to use double quotes around your filename?
    spool "&USERNAME_file_&VERSIONE.log" append
    Oracle recommends using double qoutes around filenames.
    Hope this helps!

  • File import with OS command on FTP receiver adapter

    Hi gurus,
    I would like to write a script ("Run OS command before Message Processing")for importing a file from a FTP based on a condition, like if file_a.txt does not exist on folder RECEIVE/TXT than import file_a.txt from location IMPORT/TXT to RECEIVE/TXT.
    please provide me with some information regarding this issue.
    My OS is windows NT.
    Thanks

    If I don't understood wrong, the script can be something like follow:
    set filename=text.txt
    cd /directory1/
       IF EXIST %filename% (
            # FTP 2
            ftp <serverdest_1>
            mput %filename%
        ) ELSE (
            cd /directory2/
            # FTP 2
            FTP <serverdest_2>
            MPUT %filename%

  • File Sharing with XP: Odd Problem

    Here's a weird one. I am unable to share files between my iMac and XP computers via my Linksys WRT45G router when the iMac is connected wirelessly.
    I believe that sharing is set up properly on both computers because, when I connect via ethernet cable, the iMac and XP's can see each other and share files no problem.
    My iMac has no problem connecting wirelessly to the router (I can, for example, surf the 'net).
    I've checked out iFelix. Any other suggestions? Thank you very much.
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Is it OK when wired?
    I share files with my machines, however, I use a shared drive formatted in FAT32. If the XP machine is formatted using NTFS you can read, but not write files.

  • Regarding the File Adapter with Code Page problem

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario where I am processing file at receiver end. The code page of the file is Cp037. When I try with this, I am facing the problem. Is there anyway where I can chage the code page of the file which is to processed by File adapter receiver.
    I have one idea but I don't know whether it is possible or not. It is to use XML Anonymizer Module.
    Please get back to me with your ideas.
    Regards,
    Achari

    Hi Achaari,
    Cp037 ( EBCDIC ) is not a basic but an extended encoding set which might not be supported by the file encoding parameter at the receiver file adapter.
    Either you can try the code page conversion using java code  as mentioned in  this[ post|Code page conversion;
    Please refer Problem with EBCDIC
      Michale's reply and the sriram's reply which talks about  some work around using .BAT files.

  • Integration of BIP Report file bursting with Unix FTP directory(using IBot)

    We have a requirement for dynamically creating the folder in FTP server, which gets the bursted file when a BIP report is executed.
    We have used the following approach:
    Created a IBot with Custom Java Program which creates a folder dynamically in FTP, now we are facing the problem to integrate this IBot with the BIP report file bursting.
    Can anyone suggest how to overcome this issue or is there any alternative approach to achieve the above requirement.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Unix command problem

    Sometimes I'll use the 'bg' command to run a process in the background so I can do other tasks in the same terminal window.
    For some reason, I still get the output of the process even though I said BG, not FG (foreground, of course).
    My roomate runs Linux and he doesn't have this problem, does this make sense to anyone?

    Let me make sure that I understand correctly. I assume that you start a job, then type ctrl-z to suspend it and then type bg to put it into the background.
    If so, and if you are getting output to the screen, then I would conclude that the screen is still the standard output device. What I would do is redirect the output to a file. In fact, you can start the job in background mode. If your process is myjob, then this command
    myjob > outfile &
    will send the output from myjob to the file outfile and the "&" puts the job into the background.
    I hope this helps.

  • C# using TransactionScope with sqlite command problem

    I have a sqlite data table named Customers. And I use few functions to change customer's data like name, TP, address, Email etc.
    Here are my functions.
    changeName(int id, string newName);
    chgangeTP(int id, string newTP);
    changeAddress(int id, string newAddress);
    changeEmail(int id, string newEmail);
    changeNotes(int id, string newNotes);
    But the problem is if user wants to change both Name and Address at once, he calls both changeName() and changeAddress() functions.
    But the the database file could still be locked when the program calls the second function changeTP().
    So I searched about this and found that TransactionScope could solve this problem.
    Q. I want to know, If I write something like below, would it make sure the commands won't edit the Address while database is locked for change the name ?
    using (SQLiteConnection con = new SQLiteConnection(conString))
    con.Open();
    using (TransactionScope scope1 = new TransactionScope())
    SQLiteCommand commandToChangeName = new SQLiteCommand();
    commandToChangeName.Connection = con;
    commandToChangeName.CommandText = changeNameQuery;
    commandToChangeName.ExecuteNonQuery();
    scope1.Complete();
    using (TransactionScope scope2 = new TransactionScope())
    SQLiteCommand commandToChangeAddress = new SQLiteCommand();
    commandToChangeAddress.Connection = con;
    commandToChangeAddress.CommandText = changeAddressQuery;
    commandToChangeAddress.ExecuteNonQuery();
    scope2.Complete();

  • Unzipping files compressed with unix "compress"

    I'm writing a bit of code that interrogates database activity snapshot files and stores key data in a database. The snapshot files are produced every hour and are compressed using the unix "compress" command.
    I want to read the contents (a single text file) of these compressed files and I thought that the java.io.Zip package would give me what I was looking for.
    In the code below, I already have an array of file references. I'm just iterating over the files, creating a ZipFile object from the File reference. That's where I get my ZipException (ZipfileUtility.java:57).
                for(int i=0; i<snapshots.length; i++){
                    System.out.println(snapshots);
    ZipFile zipFile = new ZipFile(snapshots[i]);
    System.out.println("About to read zipfile");
    Enumeration enumeration = zipFile.entries();
    while(enumeration.hasMoreElements()){
    System.out.println("Getting zip entry");
    ZipEntry entry = (ZipEntry) enumeration.nextElement();
    System.out.println(entry);
    zipFile.close();
    And the exception stack trace...
    java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file
         at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method)
         at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source)
         at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source)
         at org.lawford.zip.ZipfileUtility.main(ZipfileUtility.java:57)I couldn't find reference to ZipFiles NOT being able to read compress-ed files. Mind you, I couldn't find reference to them being able to either.
    Am I out of luck? Does ZipFile understand the compress format? Am I missing something that I should have seen in the API?
    I currently have no control over how the snapshots are compressed at source. I understand that the preferred archiving and compression command on unix is gzip.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    ZIP and compress are incompatible. Compress is based on the LZW algorithm, which is also used to compress GIF images. Unisys has intellectual propteries on this algorithm, which was one of the reasons to develop a roality-free algorithm. One of them is the ZIP format. ZIP can also create archives of files, while compress only handles a single file.
    So you're not lucky in using the java.io.zip package in reading a compressed file.
    Might be you could start the uncompress command via Runtime.exec and read the uncompressed data from the OutputStream of this process.
