Office 2013 small business version is missing UPDATE NOW

Hi
I'm  currently running office 2013 version 15.0.4433.1508 and trying to update, however it doesn't seem to auto update even though option is selected to auto update.
The option to update manually is missing  i.e. "File-> Office Account-> Update Options->
Update Now"
please advise why my office is not updating or doesn't allow the option to update now?
thanks

How did you configure the Update option when deploy your Office 2013?
Please publish your configuration.XML file. If this is a corporation network env, you might also want to check with your admin and see if they have re-configured your Office installation.

  • Can I use my Office 365 for small business version of Sharepoint to develop a type of Business Database Management System?

We have an excel sheet that job enquiries are logged into, estimates and a quote are produced, upon receipt of an order a job is started and once completed gets invoiced. Standard business workflow stuff, can I get 365 to automate this?
I would like to be able to upon a new enquiry being entered and an order received, a set of job folders are automatically created using a unique number from the excel sheet as its job number. These folders would have certain document templates within
them for use on the related job.
I have been experimenting with Zoho Creator to develop a system to do this, but as we have adopted 365 (small business version) it would be preferable to be able to do this all in one place.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
As I understand, you would like to create a management system to create folders via number in Excel sheet.
In my view, we could import the Excel sheet to a list, then use workflow to get number and create folders.
Here is a forum specific for Office 365 SharePoint for your reference, please confirm the plan with support engineer there just in case:

  • Office 2013 Home & Business Edition - None of the application (Word, Powerpoint, Excel or Outlook) is opening, not even in safe mode..

Office 2013 Home & Business Edition - None of the application (Word, Powerpoint, Excel or Outlook) is opening, not even in safe mode.. I tried to run the application in compatibility mode by right clicking the excel.exe and choosing the compatibility
mode, still no success. It is installed on Windows 7 Professional SP1. All the latest updates are already installed. I have also tried Microsoft fixit, but still no Success. Please help!!

I'm so sorry that I forgot the Office programs even not open in safe mode and provide useless information in my last reply.
The problem persists when we perform a Windows clean boot, right?
Were the Office programs suddenly not working? Or it just can’t be open after you install it? Did you get any error message?
If you haven’t try a repair of your Office installation, we can try it to check the result:

In addition, try to use Event Viewer to see if we can get some useful error log about this problem. See:

  • Office 365 Small Business - Public website error

    Hi,
untill today I have had a working public website on my Office 365 Small Business plan. But I decided to try to change the site theme, I chose the sunflower theme in Oslo way. From the time of this change the website stoped working completely. Whatever I
do always the error page occures. I have tried everything to fix it, but without success.
Is there any way how to reset so called "new public website" to the default situation (I can not get to any historical version of the pages so I can not use the suggested way that is desribed on the help webpage.)
    Thanx for your answer,
    Michael

    1. its hosted exchange
    2. no, they wont transfer the domain. they can let microsoft manage the dns but that just involves changing the nameservers.
    3. yes for mx and mail related records.
    4. it depends on the current configuration, but is possible. but unless there is a reason to keep them on the other server, you can set up shared mailboxes for those addresses. these are unlicensed and there is no extra cost.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked.  I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed.  eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money.  I sell phones for a living and this happens a lot

I was exploring your Office website and thought to buy Office 365 Small Business Premium but was not able to understand one statement which was "Subscription to Office for up to 5 PCs/Macs and 5 Windows tablets/iPads per user"
Does the above statement mean that If I purchase 1user license of Office 365 Small Business Premium ( Cost rs 750) then I will be getting the right to install it onto 5 computers. Below is the link for your reference.

  • Upgrading from outlook 2003 and 2007 to office 365 small business outlook

We just bought office 365 small business thinking I can easily set up outlook as we did in outlook 2007.
That is creating an account using POP3 and SMTP for every individual.
I just started watching a video of how to set up the out look in office 365 and it does not make any sense to add all 30 mail boxes set up in Network solutions and work around our domain names and all sort of unnecessary complicated step to use this on line
    office.
Can we just set it up the way we did in outlook 2007 without having to deal with all parties involved?
    Regards;

    Hi,
I suppose you used Office Customization Tool (OCT) to create the POP3 accounts for the users? With OCT it's quite easy with .prf as I can tell. However, in Office 365 we don't have OCT so that's probably why you don't know how to create the
    accounts for users.
Due to the lack of related resource here, I actually suggest you post the question in Office 365 Community, where this question can be properly addressed:

  • Is really MS Office 2011 the latest version ? We are now already 3 years ahead !

Is really MS Office 2011 the latest version ? We are now already 3 years ahead !

3 years has been the Microsoft norm of late.
Windows users had Office 2010 before Office 2013 came out.
That's why there is still some expectation that Mac users will go from Office 2011 to an expected Office 2014.
    Only time will tell.
    A couple of recent speculations:

  • Use one account or multiple for 10 domain users of Office 2013 Home & Business

I have 10 seats of the retail version of Office Home & Business 2013 for use in a domain environment. Windows 7 Pro 64, Server 2008R2 environment. No exchange. Blank slate.
Should I install all with the same account for ease of management, or setup a new MS Live account for each user? Can I do either, and what are the advantages to each?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Both are ok, but neither is really good.
In your scenario, I suggest you use Office 365 to manage all these, which is more recommended:

  • Problem Saving or Opening Documents with Office 2013 Home & Business

    Hello there,
as the title says, I'm running into a problem when trying to save or open Documents in Word,Excel, etc. (all Office Programs)
I get the message "Microsoft Word stopped working". Or Excel, Powerpoint...
I already tried to deinstall and used the Office-FixIt-Tool to clean the PC.
I also updated the driver for my Graphic-Card, installed the newest Windows-Updates and checked if it is caused by an Add-In.
None of this helped. The Problem still exists when starting in Safe-Mode.
In Event-Viewer I get this Message:

If I start Windows in Safe-Mode and try to start one of the Office-Products I get another error, something like:

Hope there is a fix for this...
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello George,
    No, it has never worked.
For testing I installed Office 2010 and this worked fine.
But as I said, all versions had been deinstalled before reinstalling Office 2013 (even cleaned up with the FixIt-Tool).
    Best Regards

  • Microsoft Office 2013 Free/Busy Information Issue

We have several users that cannot see the free/busy information of another user in their Outlook 2013 calendars.  Creating a new Outlook profile for the user and repairing office solves the issue for a short period of time.  Users are running Windows
8 64 bit, Windows 7 32bit and 64bit with Office 2013.  Our Exchange server is 2010 version 14.03.0158.001.  I have included screenshots of the issue.

I have been working with Microsoft on this issue.  The patches below are suppose to fix this issue.  We are still currently testing them.

The issue with Free / Busy and OOF not getting set would take 24-36 hours to start working once the patch is applied.

  • Office 2013 products manage version function never responds

This all started a few weeks ago and had previously been working.
    scenario ...
Open any office document from any internal SharePoint 2010 site
Go to Info->Manage Versions, we receive a trying to retrieve server versions message and the refresh server version list is greyed out.
Thus in the office app you cannot checkout a document. If you check out the document in SharePoint first, and then open it you cannot checkin an updated version from inside the office app, for the same reason. This only occurs on clients running office
2013, office 2010 clients continue to work. There are multiple separate SharePoint farms involved, so I don't think it is a server side issue. I can save the document changes and then go back to SharePoint and explicitly checkin the changes. It affects
multiple users on multiple client machines.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your question.
I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at this issue.

    Hi,
We can disable OneDrive in Office with Group Policy.
First, please download Office 2013 Administrative Template files (ADMX/ADML) from this link below:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35554
Then, press Win + R, type "gpedit.msc" in the blank box, press Enter.
The settings can be found under User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Microsoft Office 2013 -> Miscellaneous. Select the “Block signing into Office” option in the list of settings. In the Properties window, click “Enable” and select
the option “None Allowed.” Save the settings and open Word to check, there should be no OneDrive option for the user.
