Official cvs class?

Hi,
I like to make simple Java programs in my
spare time. I like to have my own custom
programs with my own code so, I'm going
to make my own GUI cvs client to create reposities,
add, update etc.
Does anyone know if Sun Microsystems
has their own class for cvs management?
There doesn't seem to be one in the
API docs.
Well, if they don't does anyone know any good
cvs classes or packages you can download?
Any advice would be appreciated. :)
Would Runtime.getRuntime().exec("command") be
tedious to apply throughout my code?

Java CVS apps are ten a penny, manybe you should see if any of then include an API.

  • Path problem in linux

    hi,
i have problem with file path accessing in linux. my java class is accessing a abc.cvs file and and getting all data. it is working fine in windows xp. but i run this same file in linux it does not access the abc.cvs file and does not get any data.
    my project structure
    Search
    abc.cvs
    search.SearchMain
i am sccessing this cvs file in this SearchMain class by this way file name = "abc.cvs"
It is working fine with window but problem with linux.
when i place this abc.cvs in a folder as "./data/abc.cvs" also working fine with windows but not in linux.
    I am new for linux.
    Please give me solution.
    Thanks in advance
    Ravi

There shouldn't be any differences between Linux and Windows here, it's all about your environment. In order to access abc.cvs class (I presume that abc is package name) from search.SearchMain class you need to have a directory (or .jar file) containing abc/cvs.class in your CLASSPATH environment variable.
    Try setting it with
    export CLASSPATH=your_dir_or_jar_file:$CLASSPATH
and then running the app again.

  • Have you moved from Unix/Oracle to Windows/SQL Server

I am looking for people that have moved from Unix/Oracle to Windows/SQL Server...
Would you do it again ?
    Did you save money ?
Were you using Zones to virutalize on Unix ?
Did you gain or loose overall Performance ?
Have you had to perform a recovery on SQL Server ?
Have you done a recovery in Oracle ?
    Were you using Rman ?
    Which worked better ?
We are going through an analysis of does it really make sense, save money and effect performance to move from a strong unix/oracle environment to a MS/SQL environment.
    THanks Rob
    [email protected]

    Hi,
All our R/3 legacy systems are Windows/Oracle.
All the new systems (BW, SRM, CRM, XI) are Windows/MSSQL.
It was an order from the management to make the switch because of the high prices of Oracle licences.
The official motto is now Oracle on Unix only and SQL server on Windows only.
We get the same level of performance as with Oracle, but we, old SAP Oracle grumpy admins, are much more comfortable with Oracle admin than SQL server admin.
imho, SQL server may seem simplier but it is much easier to look under the hood whith Oracle.
We have to reinvent the wheel and it's kind of frustrating but we will cope with it...
I would say that SQL server is not a good choice for BW usage because there is a lot more litterature on BW database optimisation for Oracle than MSSQL.
The official SAP class does not speak at all about SQL server but has several chapters on Oracle...
    Regards,
    Olivier

  • Any technique to use two instruments vi together

    hi,
i am using labview to control arc monochromator and photon counter. i want to know is there any technique that i can use in lv 8, so that i dont have to control this two instrument with two differrent set of vi. That mean there should be one vi to control all the setting of this  two instrument and this all process works in synchronization.
if it possible how can i do that?
    josan

Of course. You just have to put the VIs you're using now into a top level main VI and create controls/indicators for the subVIs. Any VI can be a subVI to another VI.
There are hundreds of shipping examples that have subVIs in them. You might want to take a LabVIEW basics course. Go to http://www.ni.com/devzone/lvzone/fundamentals.htm and check into the various options including official training classes, books, and on-line tutorials.

  • Some typical doubt from a beginner

    Hello Gurus,
I am currently working as a support Engineer for Microsoft. But I am planning to move into SAP. I am very good in Windows Server and desktop technology and have started learning SAP too. But I am very much consused as to what to study and how to make a framework to acheive my goal. Which module to take up.
One of my friend suggested me to go for Basis, but here in this forum I do not find anything related to BASIS. I stumled into this Netweaver administration so posting here.
Please give me some basic idea bout proceeding towards my goal. Let me know about BAsis and Netweaver and WEb AS. I will be very grateful.
    Thanks
    Ajay M

    Hello Ajay.
I am in the process of moving from Microsoft development/support to SAP Administration.  I recently completed the SAP courses "SAPTEC" and "ADM100", and I'm now working as a Jr. Basis Admin.
Basis is now a part of Web Application Server and Netweaver, but is still referred to as Basis in some contexts.  The Basis technology is not going away, it has just been expanded upon.
"SAP Web AS is the logical result of further development of the SAP Application Server Technology (formerly also known as SAP Basis), with particular attention being paid to Web-based application."  -SAPTEC Course Materials
"SAP NetWeaver is the technological infrastructure for all SAP solutions."  -SAPTEC Course Materials

Also see this short thread: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Database/Software/ERP/SAP/Q_23026983.html
Most SAP solutions run on Unix OS and use Oracle DB, so you may need to study those technologies also.

  • PrintToPrinter

I have an interesting case and I'm not sure how to work this out.
    Language: VB .NET 2005
    CR:  CR XI R2
I'm using PrintToPrinter on an embedded Report. What the issue is that I'm getting a "Method Not Found" exception on the line from the JIT compiler.  The line below is the error cause.  I've tried casting to ReportClass and to ReportDocument.  ReportClass is the official base class of the embedded report object. I've verified that in the Intellisense popup it is listed and I've verified the parameter types to be correct.  Any Ideas?
    oReport.PrintToPrinter(oPrintSettings, oPageSettings, True)
    Text of the Error:
Method Not Found: 'Void CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.PrintToPrinter(System.Drawing.Printing.PrinterSettings, System.Drawing.Printing.PageSettings, Boolean)'
    Err Number: 438

    I found the solution!
The solution was that the Report Document object did not have a PrintToPrinter with that signature.  I used reflection and enumerated the methods.  The only PrintToPrinter had the following signature:
ReportDocument.PrintToPrinter(NumCopies as Integer, Collate as Boolean, StartPage as Integer, EndPage as Integer)
    I recoded to use
    oReport.PrintOptions.CopyFrom(oPrintSettings, oPageSettings)
    oReport.PrintToPrinter(oPrintSettings.Copies, True, 0, 0)

  • Tween on N800

Hi, I'm new to Flash and Actionscript. I'm working on writing
a game in Actionscript 3 for the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet. I'm
having trouble getting a Tween to appear smoothly. I have a line
    like this in my code:
    overallTween = new Tween(overallContainer, "x",
    None.easeNone, 0, -833, 10, false);
The variable overallContainer is a Movie Clip that I added
using the GUI. overallContainer has four other movie clips as
children, and each of those four movie clips has five to ten
children, which are bitmaps and textFields. When the above line
executes on the N800, everything slides very slowly to the left, at
about 2 fps. Also, it looks jerky and intermittent instead of
smooth. When it executes on a desktop, it runs smoothly, at about
30 fps. 30 fps is the value I set in the fla file. Also, when I try
executing the same Tween on a container with just one child, it
displays smoothly on the N800. When the container has many
children, I think the reason it's not smooth is because the CPU is
being used a lot during the Tween. (The N800's CPU runs at 400
MHz.) Does anyone know of another way to do this same tween, or a
similar effect, using fewer CPU cycles? Or is there another way to
    make it smoother? Thanks.

I’ve been looking into various ActionScript 3.0 (AS3)
Tween Class Libraries for Flash. Here’s what I’ve found
    so far:
    Tweener (
    http://code.google.com/p/tweener/)
    * robust and fast
    * adds about 11K of file size
    * can easily tween “currentFrame” to control an
animation forward or backwards along a timeline in a MovieClip
    TweenerLite (
    http://blog.greensock.com/tweenliteas3/)
    * Nice, small and fast.
    * adds about 3K of file size
    * But I’ve seen buggy behavior when trying to change a
Tween on a property without cancelling Tweens on other properties
    of the same MovieClip.
    * Should be fine for simple Tweens.
    Adobe built-in fl.transitions.Tween Class
    * Official Tween class from Adobe
    * adds about 2K of file size
    * Much slower than Tweener and TweenLite
    * Tween to multiple properties require multiple Tween
    objects
If you are using Adobe's built-in fl.transitions.Tween Class
then I'd suggest trying either Tweener or TweenLite.
Good luck and let us know how it works out. I'm curious how
the Flash performance on the N800 will be.

  • Creative - brand that don't justify itself?

+C I have Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.
I must say that from the time I bought it, I had a lot of problems with the drivers.
In Windows XP, when install the drivers from the CD-ROM and try to update the WDM the microphone in creative control panel disappeared and so on.
So in XP after every format I need to cross nightmare of drivers installs, uninstall and bypass the drivers and Surround Center to Work properly.
But, in Windows 7 - again, but worse.
The WDM driver freezes the windows in random times, freeze at boot of windows 7 and so on..
    nothing hel
    ps.
The big ironic is that one of the reasons that I bought the creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS is because Driver problem with the OB card.
I try to Google the problem and found a post on this forum: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://forums.creative.com/t5/Windows-7/Windows-7-freezes-after-installing-Audigy-2/m-p/540074"]http://forums.creative.com/t5/Windows-7/Windows-7-freezes-after-installing-Audigy-2/m-p/540074[/url]
    - same problem, no solution,
on the other hand, there is a solution that I hope to don't use it....... bought a competitor sound card..
If I have to buy a new sound card, I don't think that after seeing the Creative drivers and all issues on them, I will ever try a new creative product.
In contrast to one post on that Message that says that Creative don't need to support windows 7 on the 6 years old product, so I have an answer:
. I bought that sound card fewer 3 years.
    2. For the best of my known Microsoft is still releasing security updates for windows xp.. I need to remind the release date of this OS?
    3. I used ASUS product and ever had a problem.. why ASUS is still supporting old products? So if that is the case I would buy a new ASUS sound card.
Sorry for the aggression of my message but in my opinion, this is not the attitude that company should use.
I'm sure that I amn't the only one that will never back to buy product from a company that had a problem before with her products..
especially when buying product form KNOWN BRAND - to be sure to future support and reliability.
You can do a lot of things - from starting to debug your drivers or even improve your software section - the current state needs to change!
    thanks.

  • VoIP training help on Long Island NY

    Hello,
I am getting thrown into projects including IP Telephony on Call Manager 4.1 and also the possiblity of CME and CCM 5.x.
I am still trying to get up to speed on Call Manager/IPT and was wondering if there is someone available in the NYC/ Long Island area that could help me out with some training?
    Thanks!
    pete

Thanks. I'm looking for some crash course time I can spend with an engineeer and go over some ins and outs of our environment rather than an official training course. I was hoping this would be cheaper than a trainning class just for now and help me get up to speed faster. Also, these projects are coming down the pipe soon so by the time I find an official training class and find the funds to pay for it out of pocket...

To those here in the thread,
I bought the exact same card a few months ago. I run Vista 64 Ultimate and here is my experience with that card. I had just installed Vista 64 and started to install my sound drivers. So I used the brand new Vista CD available from Creative to install everything. Then I would download ALL THE UPDATES that Creative has listed for the card, to make sure that I covered all the bases. ? My system froze, locked and would not play much of anything well. I tried for hours to look here in the forums to read what all others had done before. I finally gave up, uninstalled everything and used Driver cleaner..... Then I installed the Daniel K. . support pack, and after that, the newest Creative Labs 64 bit driver for the X-FI Titanium. Now I am pleased and very happy with my sound. I love the fact that I no longer have to use an I/O bay or Li've Dri've as they used to be called. My front panel HD audio jacks work great!!!
Gi've this card another shot with the Daniel K. pack and then combine that with the newest drivers. I think you will be as pleased as I.
    cheers,

  • NAC/MARS training on Long Island NY

    Hello,
I am getting thrown into projects including NAC/MARS and I have yet to see NAC/MARS anywhere in my job(s).
Is someone available in the NYC/ Long Island area that could help me out with some training?
    Thanks!
    pete
