Offsetting entires of intercompany business

Hi,
Could anybody share the config material for posting automatically to internal vendor account in inter comapany scenario?.
As per my understding IDOC will suffice my requirement as we have both the companies in the same system.
Even i gone through with the SAP help but still not able to configure.
Kindly suggest.
Thanks a ton in advance
Regards,
SATYA

Hi Manish
The purpose of system currency is for a branch for example to keep track of its transactions in parallel to the head office in their currency. It is not the same as using a foreign currency. You can use the Conversion Difference function to re-evaluate your System currency at a certain date, but the System currency does not force exchange rate gains or losses other than this function.
My suggestion would be to use the Foreign currency fields between the 2 companies.
Kind regards

  • Order Related Intercompany business process for Service material

    Hi
I am looking for some info on Intercompany Business Process for service material - Order related.
I have created Sales order (ZBOR) copied from standard sales order (TA / OR), a billing document (ZIVA) copied from IVA, an item category (ZTAD) copied from TAD standard.
A material type used is DIEN (Services).
Note 63459 indicated that I have to use a copy requirement 613 for item category ZTAD. The copy requirement 613 was created by copying requirement 013 according to the attached reference.
I did the same according to the note. When I tried to create first billing document i.e. to end customer, its fine.
When I create second billing document i.e. intercompany billing, its going to first pricing procedure and end customer as Payee, which should not happen. Rather it should go to intercompany pricing procedure (ICAA01) and to Internal customer as payee.
Can someone guide me how to solve this issue?

when i run intercompany billing (ZIVA), it goes to copy control routines 613 , buts its picking end customer pricing procedure and payee as end customer , not picking intercompany pricing procedure and internal customer as Payee.
I am not sure what to do with 613 routinees as suggested by OSS note. All is i created this 613 copying from 13.
Do i need to develop the logic of picking correct intercompany pricing procedure i.e ICAA01 , and need to get the right payee and some header information in this 613 routine . which means automatic pricing procedure determination is not done using customization in Order related Intercompany billing . Am i right to understand?
Please suggest me how do i solve this issue.
Please send it to my [email protected] email too.

  • High-level business process scenario

Hi all, I have a business process scenario for which CRM and ECC has to be used. The scenario is like this:
There are 2 subsidiaries of a company - A and B, which are into trading of materials.
Between A and customer there is sales agreement. Between B and vendor there is purchase agreement.
Whenever customer requires materials, it will send request to A. So, A creates a sales order. B in turn sends a request to vendor for which a purchase order is created. The vendor ships the goods directly to customer. The vendor bills B for the purchase order. B adds some margin and then it goes for inter-company settlement with A. A bills the customer for the materials. In this entire process, both A and B earns profit through margins.
It has to be noted that CRM has to be used as contact point with customer.
Now I have the following questions:
    1. How would the high-level business design be like?
    2. How would be the document flow?
    3. How can inter-company settlement and billing be done?
All constructive comments and feedback will be rewarded.

    Hello Animesh,
Can you please let me know the solution you found for the intercompany business process. I have the similar kind process which needs to be configured in CRM7.
    Thanks a lot

  • Difference between Business Events  and Complex Event Processing

    Dear All,
Can anyone let me know the difference between
    Business Event -> http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/obe_intro.htm#CHDIBHBE
    and
    Complex Event Processing->http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14476/overview.htm#g1024628
    Are these 2 same?
    Thanks

    Hi.
Complex Event Processing Server(CEP) is an entire Product.
Business Event/Event Delivery Network is just a Messaging/Event component part of the SOA Infrastructure.
So, if u r interested on event correlation from different sources, high performance on analyzing those events + operations among the data generated on those events, CEP is ur option.
    Hope this helps

  • Business one - how is the prospects for a MBA fresher

I am very new to business one and I need some information regarding its training and prospects. One of my friend has graduated (MBA) and trying to get into SAP. Since he is fresher he is not able to undergo any major SAP module. The training center is recommending him to underto business one and jump to other modules after he gets his experience. In this circumstance (a fresher trying to learn SAP and become BSA) is Business one an apt module for him? Can he later jump to a major module? How easy difficult will it be for him?
    Please give your valuable suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

Hello Deepak - I can provide some input from some experience both as a user and as an implementation specialist.
Most folks think that the R3 world is the best place to start due to the larger number of opportunities and the ability to specialize very quickly in a very thin and focused module (for example, HR in R3).  IF, and that is a big IF, a person wants to be locked into a very thin and specialized module, then going to the R3 world is great.
However, if a person likes to work with the entire range of business operations then All In One, Business by Design, and Business One are the avenues to go.  Although there are differences between the R3 world and these other packages, the truth of the matter is that it is much easier to go from these other packages into R3, than vice-versa.  Why?  Because with the other packages, you are forced to understand what is going on throughout the entire system and the entire business process.  I have seen over and over again where an experienced and seasoned R3 person has tried to work in one of the "all-encompassing" packages and drops from senior to junior in the process because they know one distinct area and now they need to know everything (which most do not).
A lot of people refer to SAP Business One as the "little brother" to R3 (and sometimes even insinuate that SAP B1 is not that tough), but you tell me - which is harder to know in an expert fashion - one single piece of the business or the entire process which a business goes through?  I have been on both sides of the fence and, believe me, knowing what to do functionally and technically for the entire process is a much larger effort and requires a special kind of person.
You hear many horror stories about the R3 implementations which take years to do, millions of dollars, and an army of consultants.  Why is that?  Because each consultant knows his/her piece and mis-communication and finger pointing are farily easy to do.  Not quite possible when you have only one or two consultants there to do the entire SAP B1 implementation; it goes quickly and the responsibility is squarely set upon the shoulders of those one or two consultants.
SAP is currently making a big push in SAP Business by Design (SAP ByD) in the upcoming months and have a variety of Webinars and are creating some good documentation since it is a newer SAP release.  The SAP ByD field is wide open for anyone because there are few consultants who can claim experience (which makes it good and bad, depending upon how you see it).
So the bottom line question comes to this;  does your friend want to be part of the army in R3 and learn a specific area of business or does the person like to work as the hedge-pin of success and responsibility in a broad and entire business process?  Finding a great and all-around SAP B1er is like finding a jewel - I have had the pleasure of working with SAP B1 for the past six years and having someone on the team who is both knowledgable and able to get things done is a great asset...the SAP B1 implementation is both tough but very rewarding...
Good luck for your friend who is starting out...

  • Business Package for Colloboration Projects

    hi, experts
I would like to know about the deployment about PPDMC (Projects, Portfolio Management and Design Collaboration). I need to deploy the PPMDC to EP 7.0.
As follows the xRPM installation guide, I need to install the CPRXRPM_UI. Is it right?

    Processing an Intercompany sale
To create an Intercompany sales transaction proceed with creating the standard sales order. In the sales order, change the delivering plant at the line item level & create a delivery for the new shipping point represented for the delivering plant. Proceed with the delivery functions of selecting the packing & posting the goods issue. Then create an external invoice that will be sent to the customer & create an Intercompany invoice. That will represent the billing doc between the delivering plant & the selling sales orgn.
An internal Intercompany invoice can be created by entering the delivery no again for processing when using the transaction VF01. One can also select the doc due for Intercompany billing by using the billing due list VF04. When using the billing due list be sure to select the Intercompany-billing doc as the documents to be used, by checking Intercompany billing.
A Check List for Intercompany sales processing can be the following:
The enterprise structure must be maintained correctly, i.e., the plants must be assigned to the correct company codes as well as to the correct combination of sales orgn’s & distbn channels.
The Intercompany customer must be assigned to relevant
    sales orgn’s
The delivering plant must be assigned to the sales orgn.
The material to be sold must exist in the original & delivering plant.
The sales order must be relevant for Intercompany sales & have an assigned billing doc type
The copy control rules must be defined between the standard invoice, such as F2, & the inter company invoice, such as IV.
The pricing proc may have a special cond type assigned to it.
This special cond type may represent the price to
Intercompany sales orgn or it may represent a special discount offered to the Intercompany sales orgn for the material sold
The standard system has the following cond types:
To represent the Intercompany price as quantity-dependent.
To represent the Intercompany condition as percentage.

  • SPICBOOKING: Intercompany Booking Rules

    Hi Guys,
I searched a lot for previuos threads, but had no success: that's why I' asking your help.
In order to have a proper Legal IC Elimination we:
    1. Wrote a simple Intercompany Booking Rule with one debit and one credit account and loaded Application in order to have suitable data to be eliminated.
    2. Created the necessary Script Logic (based on SPICBOOKING Stored Procedure) to be called in a DTS
    3. Creted a DM Package
In the Log (DataPackage View Details) we see no data has been generated: Revenues and Costs are still there. In the help we can get:
Intercompany booking rules are split into two independent procedures:
SPICDATA: This procedure can be used to copy the declarations of all entities versus a given entity by intercompany account. Essentially, it concentrates into each single entity the declarations of all other entities versus each entity. This mechanism allows the owners of an entity to run a report matching all its declarations against what the rest of the world has declared against the entity, without the need to assign to each owner read permits into other entities.
SPICBOOKING: This procedure can be used to automatically generate the bookings which will make the intercompany declarations to match. The stored procedure SPICBOOKING is driven by the table called clcBOOKING_.
The following table describes the options for setting up an intercompany booking rule.
What's wrong? Did we miss something?
Did anybody of you used Intercompany Booking Rules successfully?
Can you please share your experience about?
    Thanks in advance
    GFV

    Hi Tara,
thanks for your answer. We are working in a little bit different way. In fact we wrote a new ScriptLogic (that should run SPICBOOKING ...) and then invoked such a Script Logic within a new DTS.
We tried with your own code, and then wrote in our Script Logic:
    *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE = SPICBOOKING([LEGALAPP],[ACTUAL],[2008.JAN],[EUR],[TOTALADJ])
    *COMMIT
We kown this is not working with parameters ... but this is a secondary problem for the moment.
When we execute the DM Package associated to the DTS (that invokes our Scrip logic) we get the following messages:
    Building sub-query 1
    Query Type:0
    Max members:
    Executing SPICBOOKING [LEGALAPP],[ACTUAL],[2008.JAN],[EUR],[TOTALADJ]
Time to run stored procedure:.3 sec.
call 1 completed and data posted in 0.3 sec.
    Run completed in 0.4 sec.
    End time --->12:15:43 PM  -  Date:11/19/2008
Is that right? According to us it should also report the number of records read and written? Does your BPC work in the same way or do you get also the number or records involved?
Anyway may be we wrote wrong Intercompany Business Rules: the meaning of each field is still unclear to us ... For example, considering the fields available, and the Help indications (very poor in this case):
Parent matching account: A parent account member from the Account dimension or DIMLIST. Is it mandatory? what is the purpouse of this field?
Booking destination data source: A DataSrc member. We setted AJ_ELIM
Max booking amount: The maximum amount authorized to book. Mandatory?
Debit account: An Account member. We indicated a INC Account loaded with the appropriate IntCoL
Debit flow: A Flow member. F_NONE for us ... but is it mandatory?
Debit intco: An Intco member or blank. BLANK
Credit account: An Account member. We indicated a EXP Account loaded with the appropriate IntCoL
Credit flow A Flow member. F_NONE for us ... but is it mandatory?
Credit intco: An Intco member or blank. BLANK
How did you managed these fields?
Thank you very much for your cooperation: I hope we will be successfull!

  • Intercompany case

At our case we have two company codes (Company Code A and Company Code B). Both have domestic and export sales organizations. The owners of the two company codes is the same. In fact, Company Code A is usually the one which manufactures the products, Company Code B is usually the one which exports. Company Code B gets the customer orders and Company Code A gets the orders from Company Code B. As a result Company Code A sells the products to Company Code B and Company Code B sells the products to the customers. There should be something such as items of the Company Code B's customers' orders should be requirements for Co0mpany Code A or when Company Code B creates purchasing order Company Code B just makes goods movement (not entering a customer order at its company code). What and how should we do? I'll be happy for the brief explanations...
Also how is intercompany sales carried out and which customizations should I do for the intercompany process? Can anybody explain step by step?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Yasar,
As of my opinion your problem will be resolved by using intercompany standard functionality.
In Intercompany procedure company code B receives order from customer.
    1. Company B creates sales order using transaction VA01.
    2. Checks Item Availability in Plant B.
    3. Change plant manually to Plant A.
    4. It automatically checks item availability in plant A and if item is not there requirement will be passed to production planning.
    5. Save the Order and create delivery on availability of item.
    6. Shipping point is Plant A.
    7. Company Code A will bill to Company Code B.
8 Company code B will raise bill to end customer.
    Configuration for Intercompany
    1. Billing Type IV is maintained. It is available in SAP. - Assigned this billing type to Sales order type in T-code VOV8 or  IMG- SD- Billing-Intercompany billing-Define order types for Intercompany billing
    2. Material has to be created in both plants(Plant of ordering company and plant of delivering company)- MM01
    3. Plant of company code B to be assigned to Sales organization of company code A- T-code -OVX6 or IMG- SD- Billing-Intercompany billing-Assign organizational units to plants
    4. Define Internal customer number by sales organization- It means that in supplying sales organization/company master data records ordering company has to be created as Internal customer in T-code XD01.
5.Assign Internal customer no IMG- SD- Billing-Intercompany billing-define internal customer no by sales organization to order company code/sales organization.
    6.  Pricing - in this case we have to have two pricing procedure - RVAA01 and ICAA01- Tcode- VOK0
RVAA01- is assigned to order sales org/dist/div/doc.type and customer. It is normal pricing procedure; as per business requirement of the order company for the customer.
ICAA01- Pricing procedure is assigned to supplying sales org/dist/div/doc type and order company code customer. Conditions PI01 or PI02 are maintained in RVAA01. Since it is intercompany business process PIO1 or PIO2 represent cost of the material and statistical only.
PIO1 and PIO2 represents IVO1 and IVO2(in ICAAO1) respectively. Condition record for PIO1 or PIO2 have to be created in VK11.
It is assumed that standard  SD configuration is in place.
    Revert for further clarification.

  • How to display timed events across multiple days in month view?

Simple question I suppose, though I don't know if it has an answer. When I put an event spanning multiple days (say, a week long vacation) in iCal, and check the "All Day" box, it shows a nice, accurate, bar going across those days the event I'm entering covers. However, if I give it specific times for the event (e.g. the times of departure and return for said trip), even if those times are a week apart, the event still appears to only cover the starting date when viewed from the month perspective.
Is there any way I can make the month calendar show all the days during which the event is "happening" so that at a glance I will realize that an entire week is busy?

    Hi,
You can do it with keyboard shortcuts.
Select the event. Press Cmd+X. Press Cmd and right or left arrow (depending if it is forward or back in months) until you are in the correct month. Press Cmd+V to pase on the same day in the new month.
    Best wishes

    P4 800 Mhz CPU
2GB (Physical RAM) and 1GB (Virtual RAM)
250 GB (Physical HDD), 120GB (Virtual HDD)
    DVD RW

At this point I have to say a few things:
    1.     I have not attempted installing on any other version of Windows, so if you try with another version, I may not be able to answer your questions, although I believe it should not be any different.
    2.     I would believe you can or have access to the internet and can download or find most of the resources needed.
    3.     I would assume you have installed the Windows 2003 Server with SP 1, Internet Explorer and Outlook. Also, have included an IP address, a server name with its domain extensions in the host file.
    4.     I would assume that you have created one group – dba , two users applmgr and oracle and included them in the dba and administrator groups
    5.     I would assume that you are at least familiar with the terms and usage of abbreviations in this sort of environments.
    6.     I would also assume you have reviewed and have made allowance to meet the required specification in terms of hardware (I did not attempt an installation on the USB HDD, so may not be able to help, if this applies to your situation)

         Prepare Environment
Download and have read the following software:
    1.     Java Development Kit 1.3 (or higher version)
    http://java.sun.com/downloads/index.html
    2.     Active Perl – This is needed for the staging script adautostg.pl http://www.activestate.com/store/productdetail.aspx?prdGuid=81fbce82-6bd5-49bc-a915-08d58c2648ca
    3.      Visual C++ - This is needed for many of the real-time code compilation
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/download/
    4.      CYGWIN
http://www.cywin.com/setup.exe     (Free open source, never expires!)
    OR
MKS Toolkit (Evaluation copy, 30 Trial or get a licence for about $500)
    http://www.mkssoftware.com/eval/
This is necessary for certain unix-only available utilities required to implement/compile Oracle E-business Suite, such as which, make, cc, etc.
    5.     The DVDs or downloaded zipped copy of the entire Oracle E-Business Suite software for Windows 32-Bit ( I did not attempt on a 64-Bit processor, though I believe it should not be different, but see the necessary documentation if that is your situation)
    http://edelivery.oracle.com
    6.     Jinitiator – This is required to run the forms on your system (Although a first attempt to view any of the form interfaces downloads and requests this be installed first) http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/htdocs/devlic.html?url=http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/developer/htdocs/jinit.htm
    NOTE:
    •     DO NOT Install into the default directories and do not allow spaces in file directories/path when installing the software, somehow experience has shown that the Oracle EBS does not handle spaces in file directories well, and results in untold hardship if ignored. E.g Default installation folder for an software installation may suggest C:\Program Files\ JDK 1.5, MAKE SURE you alter this to something like C:\JDK15. DO THIS FOR ALL SOFTWARE INSTALLED
    •     After each software installation, please reboot the system before installing the next piece.
    •     Make sure that all the paths to the bin folders for all software installed is included in the environment variables, and verify by typing path in the command prompt to display all paths listed
    •     If using CYGWIN (like I did, as I could not afford a software expiring on me nor could afford $500 for a test). You may choose all the modules available, but you do not need all (it will be an overkill to have the entire unix utilities and libraries on your windows box, unless you plan on learning unix commands or into heavy development requiring a unix environment, without wanting a unix machine) MAKE SURE you choose all the library options, all the development options and that should be OK. Then confirm after the installation by typing which, cc (or gcc), make(gnumake), ls, gawk(awk), grep (egrep) (IMPORTANT:Where one of the other in brackets exists, copy and rename the copy as the alternative). As a double sure – copy all of these into C:\Bin directory.
    •     If the Oracle EBS is downloaded, unzip all the files into the folder and ignore any suggestions that it will over-write other files such as the component.label files
    Installation Proper
    •     Run adautostg.pl – which you will find in the StartCD i.e the first file downloaded and unzipped. This will attempt to rearrange the installation files in the order in which the installation wizard – rapidwiz prefers and identifies the folders. (Saves you hand-holding the wizard by having to interact during the installation, pointing it to the relevant folders/files if not run) to create the staging area.
    •     Run Rapidwiz – either by double clicking the rapidwiz.cmd in the startcd folder (this would be the one in the staging area) or from the command prompt
    •     As required, point rapidwiz, to the bin folder of cygwin e.g C:\cygwin\bin (if this is as installed) in the place where it requires the MKS Toolkit
    •     Pre-installation Checks – rapidwiz intelligently tests all the necessary software and requirements before installation starts. A corresponding message to each parameter suggests the opinion of the rapidwiz whilst a green tick indicates the parameter is sufficient, other indicators may need reviewing. Please make sure you resolve each issue before progressing with the installation. This may lead to a waste of time if not resolved.
    •     Choose a single-node installation
(if just testing or practicing, you may also choose a multi-node if this is what you want.)
    •     If all the modules are not needed (I installed all), you may have to choose which modules you require, and state where you want the modules installed.
    •     Assuming all parameters are passed and installation begins, the different stages of the installation steps can be followed by the on-screen messages or log file reviews (each logfile directory will be displayed on the screen during the installation of each context).
    •     Post Installation Checks – Rapidwiz does some checks after an installation, whether successful or not, and provides a report. When an installation is successful. It confirms and provides the url to login. The default username and password for the system administrator is usually sysadmin / sysadmin. You are encouraged to create another user immediately.
For all who asked, depending on how far up your hardware scales in terms of specifications, the installation may take about 3 hours (at least mine did) or more.
Login on to Oracle EBS !
    The URL required for logging on to the OAM (Oracle Application Management - For the Apps DBAs) and OEBS (Oracle E-Business Suite - essentially for the Functional Implemeters/Consultants ) - The entire gamut (They are shown as hyperlinks), should be as follows;
    http://hostname(servername.domainname.com):8000/
where hostname is the same as specified in your host file e.g servername.domainname.com or .whatever-u-like
    and
8000 - is the default port, but you may have chosen your own port and that should be used in such a case.
N.B - The Forms server is often started when an attempt is made to access such an interface after login in to the OEBS. However, in my own case, it did not until I made sure openmotif 2.1 was installed on my SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.1. The windows installation started without any issues.
    If all attempts fails….
You may have to try and try again by deleting all installation files and starting all the installation steps again. It will help if you know how to edit your registry settings to delete all reference to oracle e-business (not all reference to oracle though, as some odbc-related entries have been installed by Microsoft and require your registry settings to function)
Alternatively, send me your box, your mailing address and a token (money of course, and I may be able to set it all up for you) – JOKING!
CAVEAT: I will not be held responsible if anything unsavoury happens to your system in the course of you following the steps I have highlighted above either correctly or incorrectly. However, if you are successful, please sing my praises all over the forum and ask that I be rewarded by Oracle!

  • Run time error while logging from a client

    hi all,
My server is connected to 10 clients. out of that 2 clients are suddenly showing error while logging.
    Microsoft visual studio C++(error window)
    run tme error
    debug
    error c:/program files/sap/sap business one/sapbusiness one.exe
This is the error window showing. I have uninstalled the client and again installed it but with no results. I found in the path mentioned above there should be the client run file "sap business one.exe", which is not present. I mean the .exe is missing. the file shows "sap business one" only.
whenever we install the client then i the folder
    c:/program files/sap/sap business one
there is a .exe file. which is not being installed in this client machine. what is being installed is a
sap business one (not a .exe)
when the client icon in the desktop is made to run, the log in screen appears, the list of company and db appears. I have recently upgraded the server to PL 42. so when a company is selected for log in then the client upgrade message also appears. when "ok" is clickd the run time error appears.
where as all other clients are running well after the upgrade.
    please help with a solution.
    regards,
    Raj

I have explored all the areas and I hope the problem is with the exe file only. Because I have tried an option. I copied the entire file SAP Business One (in the C:
Program Files\sap) from one client which is working to the client where the error was showing. Then the it started working properly.
But I donot think this will be a permanent solution. Because on reinstaling the client the SAPBusiness One.exe does not appear and to the best of my research i am quite sure that may be the problem.
Any idea from any one for a perfect reason.
    Regards,
    Raj
