OiD and Portal Integration (WWC-41400)
Outside of the steps below what can be done to integrate Portal and OiD ?
Thanks in Advance !
This is a new install of Oid and Portal.
Portal is installed using ias10221 in a 8.1.7.2 database on Sun Solaris 2.7 w/patches.

Hello Lorenzo,
Currently the procedure on how to do this can be found at:
http://technet.oracle.com/products/iportal/pdf/conf_ldap.pdf
9iAS v2 will be in production sometime in the next month or two.
The procedure for setting this up will be more siplified in 9iAS
v2.

How to resolve Error Message WWC-41400 with OID and Portal
Hello.
I followed the guidelines to use Oracle's OID as the login
server for my 9iAS-based Portal. The login names and passwords
were successfully copied from the Portal to the users.lfif file
(visible in Oracle Directory Manager).
I tested the login/passwords and could not login to the Portal.
I received the error message WWC-41400. I check past "tars",
and the followed the steps to check the library linkage,
external library file, status of the listner, and the
environment settings for the TNS names file.
The settings are correct, yet I still can not login to the
Portal.
Any suggestions.
JoyceHello Joyce
I think you should input cn=orcladmin during "Configuring Login
Server to use LDAP using DBMS_LDAP package" step with
ssooid.sql script in "Enter value for bind_dn:" field

Link b/w orclIsEnabled on OID and portal API calls wwsec_api.activate_user
Hi Folks,
I am just curious about the account status on OID and access on portal user profiles.
Is account activation or deactivation in OAS portal (using wwsec_api.activate_portal_user/ deactivate_portal_user calls) related to the OID enable/ disable of an account using orclIsEnabled field?
i think the portal api calls control the portal access in the wwsec_person$ tables. but does it also reflect on to the orclIsEnabled field?
any guidance will be highly appreciated!
AMNI'm not 100% positive but I do not think the portal account activation/deactivation calls change the orclIsEnabled attribute in OID since there are times when a user in OID may still be enabled for SSO purposes but that same user may be deactivated as a portal user.

Hi gurus.
Can I synchronize data from OID with a specific table in Oracle Database?
In my company I have a application in pl/sql that store users information in a Oracle database.
Now I would like to integrate my Oracle Portal information with the pl/sql application. In this two application (Portal and pl/sql application) the same user have two differents login.
I would like to use Oracle IDM to do this.
Somebody can help me with this question?
ThanksYes, check integration guide for details or you can use dbms_ldap package.

Users dn changes in AD, OID and portal
I have some question about dn changes...
we have a synchronized Active Directory with OID. When user's dn changes in AD, it changes in OID.
We using portal API (wwsec_api, wwsec_oid) functions for managing user... such as set his default group, add/remove to/from group and others.. After user's dn have changed these funtions not working for that user.
so.. here comes my questions:
these portal API functions uses dn from table portal.wwsec_person$ ?
if so, is there a way to update dn in this table when it changed in OID automatically? Or it can be done only manualy?
is it safe to update dn in this table?
thanks for any hints.
sharthank you for response.
as I'm new to synchronization, some questions comes because of not knowing something..
Now I see that all changes in portal are made just after the user logs in. That was the problem. -
CRM 5.2 and portal integration
Hi
Has anyone had any experience with integrating CRM 5.2(2006s/2) with Enterprise portal? I know CRM 2007 supports this but not sure how will business roles in 5.2 be uploaded to the portal roles if this is at all supported in 5.2..
Thanks,
Sudipta.Ravi,
CRM 2007 has a "portal-like" menu that can be used for accessing the CRM application. You can use CRM 2007 in "standalone" mode without an enterprise portal or use the enterprise portal with the CRM system. If you want to use the ESS/MSS business pacakges then you must use a traditional EP system. The CRM application menu is not a true portal application.
This means for you that you need an enterprise portal which will contain your ESS/MSS package and will link into the CRM 2007 start page.
Take care,

How can i do OID and weblogic integration?
hi,
i installed weblogic 10.3.0.0 on linux.
on another server i have an OID.
i want to integrate this OID with weblogic.
how can i do?
in oracle application server. i did it from OC4J administration page. under the security tab. identity management.
there is a configuration page to define OID.
thanks for helps.
EserIf OID has a standard LDAP interface, which I believe it does, then configuring an LDAP Authentication Provider is the fundamental way to do this:
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/secmanage/atn.html#wp1198953
In this case I believe you want to use the generic LDAP Authentication provider.
Good luck and post back if you get this to work. -
Webdynpro for ABAP and Portal Integration
Hi Experts,
we created a WebDynpro for ABAP application for portal. The application will modify/update few fields in backend sap HR table PA0006 (infotype 6) . The end user (portal user) should be able to update his data in backend with the iview created on this application.
I have below two questions in my mind.
1. Do we need portal eventing for this? It's a single iview in portal which will fetch and update his data through this WebDynpro for ABAP application.
2. It is for 10 countries of almost 1000 users (with same userid in portal and backend). How can I make sure that the enduser updates and fetch his records only. The SSO is already set up between Portal and Sap ECC system. Do I need to again pass the enduser portal id to the sap in coding to fetch and update the data or sso will take care of itself.
Thanks
Ajay1. Do we need portal eventing for this? It's a single iview in portal which will fetch and update his data through this WebDynpro for ABAP application.
Answer: If you use, for exemple ITS to access this Webdympro, you will not need any action on portal for sure. Actually you will just need actions on portal, if you want to make some customization on portal side. If you want just show the Webdympro how it is, your action are all on backend..
2. It is for 10 countries of almost 1000 users (with same userid in portal and backend). How can I make sure that the enduser updates and fetch his records only. If you access via ITS, te custome will acess the backend with the user you have set on the SSO or user-mapping. The portal there is nothing to do in this regards, you must just take care of this on backend.
Please evaluating the answer you are contributing for the SDN keep growing.

Problem in Lotus Domino and Portal Integration
Hi,
We are trying to integrate Lotus Domino 6.5 with EP6 SP11. We have installed the LDS-D component as per the help.sap.com. On the Portal side, we configured the lotus transport and calendar repository manager. In Collaboration>Groupware Transport>lotus Transport, we have specified the following:
System alias ,
Server,
port,
virtual directory(only the folder 'Servlet' and not its entire path is specified)
protocol.
When we click on Collaboration and try to check the availability of another member, it gives the following error
'The virtual path specified is incorrect'
Kindly suggest what has been wrong from our side.
Regards,
Prathamesh Dalvihi,
As far as i think u have to specify the Virtual directory on the Domino HTTP server on which the LDS-D components are installed. U have to specify the path.
pliz check out the link..

I found that the error was cause by @@ssoxldap.pkb,how can I do about it?
Can the *.pkg file be modified?

I would like to know the standard way ISA is integrated into Portal in a B2C scenario where a customer self registers himself on the Portal and then SSOs to ISA. Will the Portal User ID <b>have to</b> be something cryptic like the SU01 User ID ISA creates on the backend CRM server or is there anyway we can use the friendly alias? The biggest problem we are facing is figuring out how to authenticate SAP Portal using the Alias field of SU01 ISA user instead of the SU01 User ID and still be able to perform SSO to ISA.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
I would really love to hear from people who have worked on integrating SAP Portal with ISA (Internet Sales).
Thanks,
KrishnaHello All
I was just tasked with ISA and Portal integration and I do not know where to start. We are not running any SSO yet.
I would like to configure if possible without this. Any directions would help.

Hi Guru's,
Could any one tell me two scenarios where we integrate Portals with the XI system.
If Portal is the receiver/sender then what could be the possible sender/receivers respectively.
Please, also let me know what scenarios (IDOC to HTTP etc) is used for ECC and Portal integration with XI.
What are the Adaptors used for Portals.
Thanks in advance. I will assign points.Hi,
Take a look at this blog,
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1334 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
You can make a webservice ( SOAP ) call from the portals to XI, or a HTTP call for the same.
For integrating XI and ECC , as usual IDOC's , RFC or Proxies can be used. This blog discusses the same,

How to check Portal integrated in Landscape
What transacton code can I use to check a portal is running in the landscape that I am working with and whether BI (7.0) is already integratedin that portal?
BI Portal Integration can be checked by launching a query using Bex tools and executing it or publishing it to portal.
You can use transaction RSRT (Query Monitor) and use Java Web to test it as well.
Using transaction SM30 check table RSPOR_T_PORTAL and see what portal URL is used by your BI system. If your BI and Portal Integration is complete then URL prefix will have this information.

Oracle Portal and Discoverer Integration
We're trying to integrate Discoverer with Portal unsuccessfully.
We made many things in accordance with oracle's documentation until add discoverer portlets (worksheet and list of workbooks) in a test page.
In view mode, the worksheet portlet shows the error:
"The portlet has not been defined. The publisher must define the portlet by clicking on Edit Defaults for the portlet on the edit mode of this page. Please contact the publisher of this page."
We think we have to edit properties before. Is this? Anyway edit worksheet portlet crashes between step 1 and 2. The error is: "The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error".
We have a public conection created in EM and a discoverer application which can be viewed using plus or viewer.
Furthermore, it's not possible delete the added portlets neither the page that contain it. The error at delete is:

Any ideas?
ThanksHi there,
Have you applied any patches to 9ias since it was first installed? We had the same problem and had to apply a couple of patches to get the portlets working.
1. Apply the 9.0.2.53.16 one-off patch for Oracle 9iAS Discoverer which takes Discoverer up to 9.0.2.53.16. This patch appears to be password protected and you need to get someone at Oracle support to give you a password.
2. Apply the Discoverer Portlet Provider: 9.0.2.53.00c patch (patch no. 2595444) which gives you a new discportal.xsl file that actually works. It's this second step that solves your problem but you need to do step 1 before this. This is password protected as well.
3. As you've upgraded Disco on the server to 9.0.2.53, you'll need to upgrade Disco Admin & Desktop within your 9iDS installation using patch no. 2555265. This is because Disco 9.0.2.53 uses an upgraded EUL that Disco Admin & Desktop need to be patched to use.
This was the course of action Oracle support advised us about nine months ago. Of course they may have released a further patch to Disco that does 1 & 2 in one go, but we regularly carry out steps 1 and 2 on servers we use and we can use the Disco portlets successfully.
Hope this helps
