OIF SP errors when the mapped nameid is "NULL"

I have an OVD adapter that joins a Database that has the following key columns
uid=security_code
cn=individual_id
ssoid=sso_code
all the above columns will be in headers as Header vars.
In the case if the UID(security_code) is NULL then the federation is erroring out. If this field is not null it works.
Tried changing the attribute mapping in OVD so that UID maps to cn(which is always not null), but the SP user data store has User ID Attribute set to "uid" in OIF-Administration-data Stores-User data store. If i change the "uid" in OIF to other attributes, none gets authenticated.
Is there any trick that i can get authenticated when the uid is NULL?

MDIS throwing error in the map

Hi Experts,
I am facing the following issue in MDIS.
I created a map and saved it with the options unmapped value = add and automap option in the configuration.Also in my model I have a compound fields for the qualified tables .I created a map and saved it and tested it manually .Everything works fine.But when I am trying to use this map in the MDIS ,I am unable to import the xml .Error says
"Some portions of this import map are out of date".As a solution I went to import manager and reopened the map and saved it with save update option.
Also if I try to import the same file I created the map with ,it gets successfully imported.

Hi Vinay,
Firstly,
The map that you have created and wish to reuse in automatic importing using the MDIS must have the source file configurations same.
What i mean is.When you created the map you used a source file but now you are trying to import a new source file which can have differnt configurations like The field names used in the first source file does not match with the new incoming file .
Like for example you have created a compound field using a given field but this is may not be same when you are using a new file.
So this kind of mismatches can cause this error while importing.
The error "The map is outdated" can occur when the map settings are not compatible enough to match the current source file.
Try out making a simple configuration in the map by doing a simple field mapping without compound mapping etc and then use this new source file and try importing to see if you are still getting the same error or not.
Not very sure but it could be that these complex context menu operations cannot be reused. for automation.

Hi All,
I am getting a strange type of error and need help immediately.
The error is " The Mapping to Node COMPONENTCONTROLLER.1.PLANNING_ENTITY Has Not Been Completed" for the node that exists in the Parent component and is being used in all the child nodes thru reverse mapping.
I have done mapping in all the child nodes but still the message is coming.
Could anybody tell me the reason .

Basically somewhere you have defined a context node 'PLANNING_ENTITY' to be an Input-Element. At the same time you did not define (through a component usage at design time) where the input to that node is coming from. This means the mapping path to the node is not complete, and the node does not know where it is mapped to.
Either:
- You untick the checkbox 'Input-Element (ext.)' inside the controller context, or
- You find the component that uses the component with the node 'PLANNING_ENTITY' and select Component_Usage->'Name of Usage'->'Add controller usage'. Inside the controller menu you see then, you can now provide a mapping to the context node.
I realise this now sounds a little confusing, but I'm happy to provide more details should you need them.

LR 5.5 upgrade. I only get the the 32 bit set up and an error when the 64 bit set up should be created. It says not enough disk space and no access to write. The disk space is ok and the 32 bit file was indeed created.

Hi Rob, Thanks for your input. The temp location is on the C drive with 228 GB free space. My other drives have 123 GB and 204 GB of free space. I can see how the 32 bit set up is perfectly extracted when it stops when coming to the 64 bit set up. I have done the exercise several times and also made new downloads. I am using Norton 360 and Malwarebytes anti-malware but the dowload from Adobe should be trusted.

If you are having an issue with updating your iPhone, try it through a different method like in iTunes or through software update on your iPhone in settings. If that does not work then follow the steps in the article below to force a restore on your iPhone. Why can't siri find me in Haiti when the Map app can?

I know everyone is asking the same questions but I was just wondering, why can't siri find me outside the US (Haiti) when the map application clearly can and has all the info and restaurants, etc. Also Siri can"t seem to be able to dial 8 digits numbers ( 509-xxxx-xxxx). Anyhow, I just want to know if this is going to be permanent or will there be an update to fix it.

Downgrading is not supported.
You can install the Google Maps app if you prefer that.
Maps are always a work in progress regardless of who's maps you use.

Lots of different errors when using Maps on Linux, help?

I'm trying to use Maps in one of my programs, but for some reason I get all sorts of different errors when compiling.
I've tried both my own (very) simple tests of it and also I've copied and pasted the code straight out of the official tutorials.
//Edit: Ok, I've tried it on several different IDEs, and Netbeans (on both Linux and Windows) and JCreator(on Windows) both work now for whatever reason. The only one I still have problems with is below.
Here some of the errors I get, and nothing is making sense.
On a Linux machine, using a simple IDE (Geany):

Map<String, Integer> m = new TreeMap<String, Integer>();

I don't know why it isn't working.

What do IDEs have to do with this? It's a compiler error.
Do you import java.util.Map and java.util.TreeMap?
Are you using JDK 5 or higher? Generics didn't appear in Java until JDK 5.

Error when message mapping refers to old SWCV

When you open a message mapping that has a message type from an old SWCV, e.g. FSAPPL 200, but this Enterprise Service Repository only has a newer version of the SWCV, e.g. FSAPPL 400, you get an error and you cannot display the mapping. Is there a way to tell it to use the identical message in the newer SWCV without having to edit the mapping?

I assume you are using SAP provided ESR content? As per my understanding you should not worry. Things will work even if the SWCV is of another / older version.
However this assumption is based on my experience with PI 7.0. YMMV.
You could of course always import the older SWCV into ESR. It will live happily besides the new SWCV

Error when opening mapping/Permissions?

We are deploying MDM globally and would like to restrict the regional catalog managers to their own catalog. In MDM Console I have created a copy of the the Catalog Manager Role for each region. I am restricting their access by selecting their specific catalog in the 'Tables & Fields' section of the role permissions.
This is causing problems when we atempt to import data into MDM. My account has the Catalog Manager role without any catalog being specified. I can load data into Import Manager, open a mapping without any problems and import the data. If I restrict my access to a specific catalog warning messages appear when I attempt to open the same mapping. The messages are all the same, 'Unable to retrieve unique values for field XXXXX'. All the fields mentioned are look up tables.
I know this isn't a problem with the mapping or data. I've proved that it works as designed. I have only changed one permission and restricted access to a specific catalog. I wouldn' t have thought this was a problem. The following posting discusses the same error message but fails to describe the solution Error "unable to retrieve unique values for field XXXX"
I have checked the MDM Security Guide 5.5 (all 13 pages!!!!) without and luck. The Import Manager Reference Guide 5.5 mentions the following on page 365. ' Currently the MDM Import Manager does not check any security constraints set in the MDM Console. The import will fail if any record constraints are set of the import user'
So to summerise ...... I need to be able to restrict catalog managers to a specific catalog BUT then the import fails. We are currently running MDM Version 5.5 SP6 (5.5.63.87).

You can make use of Named Searches and Masks functionality to restrict catalog access.
E.g. you have 3 different catalogs say CAT-A, CAT-B and CAT-C, now create 3 named searches in Data Manager in Named Search table. Set the search criteria to CAT-A and save the search as Named Search->CAT-A, similarly, do it for rest two. Now you have three views of your catalog. Assign these named searches to the respective roles and check the result. With this whenever user with role1 logs into data manager, only catalog CAT-A items would be visible.

ORA-04028 error when deploying mapping

The scenario is:
I have this simple mapping between Table01@db01 and Table02@db02; the validation is success. But, when i try to deploy the mapping it errors out "PL/SQL: ORA-04028: cannot generate diana for object"
Have anybody encountered this issue before? any idea please?

Getting mandatory attribute validation error when the value is defaulted through customization

I am getting Mandatory attribute validation error when we default the value through customization.
In the UI we have attribute called Last Name which is mandatory at EO level. Customer wanted to default Last name to some value, through page composer it is defaulted to some text and saved.
When ever we open the page the the same value is defaulted as Last Name and appearing in the UI. But when we submit the page, EO level validation is failing. hence we are getting last name is missing.
When i debug the code last name attribute value for EO is blank.
In the UI the attribute last name is associated with bindings --> #{bindings.lastname.inputvalue}
The validation is failing if we remove the default binding associated with inputtext box.
Can some body help what can be reason and is there any solution?

I am struggling with same situation, I can't set the default value at business component because, the default value comes from a REST service at run time. In page A, I have a field F1 that contains value from REST service. Page B has a database bound field F2, whose default value should come from F1 in Page A when a user navigates from Page A to Page B. If I set the value of F2 to be the value of F1, then it displays the value in the UI, but nothing gets submitted to EO and fails at commit.
To make things difficult, here is my situation: Page A lives in bounded taskflow TF1, and Page B lives in bounded taskflow TF2. So I have created an input parameter P1 in TF 2, which carries over the value of F1 in Page A to Page B. When I am in Page B, I can successfully see the value of the taskflow input parameter P1. So, how do I programmatically set the value of field F2 with the value of input parameter P1?
I tried setting the F2.inputValue in a method call M1 in taskflow TF2 prior to Page B, but I get null pointer exception as it can't see field F2 yet.
It seems like a simple thing to do, but I have spent a lot of time trying to make it work without any success.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance.
