OIM 10g Schduled task attribute length

Hi All
I want to set a long string in the scheduled task attirbute. But only a part of the string can be saved and it removes the text after that. Please let me know how can I increase the attribute length for the sch task attribtues.
thanks

In the OIM DB, increase the value of column length of the following
table - TSA
column - TSA_VALUE
This column is holding the values of all scheduled task attributes.
Hope it helps.

    I am facing above error when try to update any task in the task scheduler.
    Can anyone please suggest me where i am going wrong?
    Thanks,
    Uma.

    I would assume you are missing the jar file for your scheduled tasks. Try and create a new scheduled task with the same class name, if it won't let you save, this is your answer. You'll want to make sure you have the connector scheduled task file in the ScheduleTask folder in your OIM directory.

  • OIM Design Console Internal error while updating task attributes

    Hi All,
    I have installed OIM9101 on jboss, the set up is running fine. I am in the process of integrating a OID connector following steps given OID connector guide. In design console(Administration-->Task Scheduler) while modifying "OID Group Lookup Reconciliation Task" attributes, attribute value is not getting saved. When i click on save option it shows a pop up windows saying "problem in updating task attributes. update failed."
    Any solution for this??.. Please help.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Edited by: VAYANAKA on Nov 26, 2010 10:48 PM

    Thank you for the reply..I have tried to create a new scheduled task. But while saving it again an Internal error pop up window comes saying " Description:Could not execute database read.The database encountered a problem with the specified SQL Query.Remedy: Check the database query.Contact your system administrator."..
    Is it any problem with my database.? I have checked database, its up and running??
    Thanks In advance.

  • Updating Schdedule Task Attributes in OIM through our Code.

    Hi Guys,
    My Requirement is that I should be able to update the schedule task attributes through my reconciliation code. I tried my level best to find some API but unable to locate the API's to update the schedule task attribute.
    I used to following funciton to update the schedule task attribtue value:
    public void updateScheduleTaskAttribute(long scheduledTaskKey,
    long taskAttributeKey,
    java.util.Map attributes)
    This API found is in the tcSchedulerOperationsIntf interface. However, I am unable to find any API to retrieve the scheduledTaskKeyand taskAttributeKey parameters for the currently executing schedule task. Currently, we use the getAttribute(String) method to retrieve the schedule task attributes. I would be very grateful if you could guide me on how to obtain the scheduledTaskKey. If I am able to get that, I think it would be possible to obtain the taskAttributeKey, though do let me know if there is a better approach to get this also.
    I would be highly obliged if someone could tell me some better way or a code snippet through which I can update the schedule task attribute values.
    Thanks in advance,
    Akki :-)

    Thanks a lot kevin for your reply,
    Actually there are some attributes which doesn't makes sense if they reside in IT Resources as IT Resource are meant for keeping connection parameters which will be used during provisioning. For ex: Last Reconciled Record, Last Reconciled Timestamp. These two attributes doesn't makes sense if they reside in IT Resources.
    I hope you understood my requirements.
    Hoping a ray of light :-)
    Thanks in advance,
    Akki

  • Replicating the app functionality from OIM 10g to OIM 11gR2

    Hi,
    I have a resource object with an object form and a process form and approval, provisioning configured in OIM 10g design console. Provisioning is manual provisioning assigned to a particular group based on a task assignment adapter. For replicating the same in OIM 11gR2 i followed the following steps.
    1. Created a Resource object in Design console.
    2. Created a dummy IT Resource ( Since while creating app instance it is having IT Resource as Mandatory field. * Is there any way to skip this as i do not have any IT resource in my original app as it is going for manual provisioning?)*
    3. Created a process form in Design Console with the same fields as present in my 10g app process form.
    4. Now i need to Create an app instance and select the created resource object and IT resoource. Also i need to create a form associated with the app instance in which i will add the fields as present in the object form in my 10g app. ( Here i am not understanding how data will flow from object form to process form since there is no data flow mapping here)
    5. Other steps like creating the SOA composite with human tasks and deploying it and after that creating approval policies is pretty much clear.
    Please clarify whether the steps are correct and also the queries which i have posted in between. Thanks in advance.

    Edited by: Durgaprasad on Jan 17, 2013 3:38 AM

    Thanks Gyanprakash. Wll disconnected resource trigger our custom approval process if we select the resource name properly in scope in operational level approval policy. Have you tried a disconnected resource with your custom approval process. Because i read the following lines in admin guide
    Oracle Identity Manager supports provisioning of disconnected resources by using the SOA worklist for manual provisioning of disconnected resources. After the role-based provisioning decision or SOA request approval is complete and the corresponding application instance is determined to be a disconnected application instance, a new SOA workflow is started. This new SOA workflow is assigned to the manual provisioning administrator.
    So i thought disconnected app instance will have its own approval process configured during the creation and it will route accordingly. So just wanted to clarify how to make disconnected app instance to trigger our approval. will approval policay take care of it as i am going to select the name of the disconnected app in the scope field.

  • OIM 10g - custom connector - modify user

    Hi
    I am writing a custom connector for OIM 10g and looking out for modify request format. My application has roles which are managed by OIM. When I call 'modify user' to update user's role in the application, I want to have the information of old role and new role in the connector. Please let me know how can I get the information of old role for the provisioned resource. I want to log the information that at the time of 'modify user' which role was newly added and which role was deleted.
    Does anybody has information about how this can be implemented.
    Thanks

    Well , When you write a process task for adding/ removing the child table , you specify in the task configuration the child table name and trigger type (insert OR delete)..
    So when you add or remove operation from child process form in OIM, OIM know which task it has to trigger and you can put the logic to add /remove the role in the adapter attached to the task .
    Thanks
    Suren

  • OIM 10g Changing used Create User Response Code Status

    Hello OIM Experts,
    Using OIM 10g - target system - OID.
    During my implementation, i realized that - there are possibility of user existence during OID provisioning. It should be acceptable.
    Solution : Create User : Response Code :
    USER_ALREADY_EXIST - Set the 'status' to 'C' (instead of 'R').
    However, when i tried doing it... that it is not allowing me - "RESPONSE IS ALREADY USED BY 1 OR MORE TASKS'. Everyone know, this is the limitation with OIM.
    Then i'm planning of setting the status directly into the database without going through the validations. I'm not able to get the exact database table name. Please let me know. [DB TABLE/COLUMN NAME ?? ]
    Any other alternative ?
    Thanks,

    You can change the task status to C for "User already exists" response after clearing the R status for existing task instances in the table.
    Use the following steps:
    - Please take OIM backup
    - Use the task name to look up the task ID present in the MIL table. Note the value of the task definition key (mil_key)
    E.g. select * from mil where mil_name like 'Create%' [Let us say this returns mil_key as 335]
    - Find out the task response key for the response that you intend to change using mil_key and the response code name
    E.g. select * from rsc where mil_key=335 [Lookup the response code that you want to change. Let us say this returns 1638]
    - Use the mil_key value to find task instances corresponding to this task.
    E.g. select * from osi where mil_key=335
    - Update the response code for tasks in osi.
    update osi set rsc_key=1624 where rsc_key in (1638)
    commit
    I am sure you will figure it out.
    All the best,
    Chetan

  • How to schedule and e-mail reports in OIM 10g

    Hi,
    Could you please let me know how to schedule and e-mail OOTB reports in OIM 10g.
    When I click on reports tab and try to run a report, I see the report displayed on the screen and has an option to export to CSV format.
    I could not find a place where I can specify the scheduling interval or the set of e-mail recipients.
    Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Many thanks in advance

    You can write your own schedule task to do the same. You can use the existing Stored procedures which are used by OOTB reports to get the desired report.
    You can also make use of API: http://otndnld.oracle.co.jp/document/products/id_mgmt/idm_903/doc_cd/javadocs/operations/Thor/API/Operations/ReportOperationsIntf.html

  • OIM 10g to 11g upgrade error

    Hi experts,
    While doing upgrade from OIM 10g to OIM 11g, I am not able to upgrade OIM Middletier.
    Steps performed till now
    1. Run OSI Upgrade Utility in OIM 10g.
    2. Export OIM 10g DB Schema from Oracle database version 10.2.0.2.
    3. Run prepare_xl_db.sh and import the OIM 10g Schema to Oracle Database 11.2
    4. Run RCU to create schemas for MDS and SOA in Oracle database 11.2
    5. Install WLS 10.3.5, SOA 11.1.1.5 and IAM 11.1.1.5
    6. Upgrade OIM Schema using Upgrade Assistant Utility
    7. Create WLS Domain for OIM and SOA
    8. Configure OIM(copied .xldatabasekey to config/fmwconfig folder)
    9. Upgrade OIM Middle Tier using Upgrade Assistant Utility
    Upgrade Assistant is failing at step 9 when it is trying to initilize scheduler properties.
    In logs, it says invalid username and password but I am sure I entered correct password for all schemas.

  • OIM 10g: Requests Track Doesn't show any requests status

    Hello,
    OIM 10g BP15:
    I've created a group "oim-admin-group" ("admuser" is the member of this group).
    I've assigned quite a few "Menu Items" access required for "oim-admin-group" group including:
    * Track Requests menu item
    Also, assigned "permissions" on all objects to this group.
    However, when "admuser" logs in and perform a search on Requests > Track > Search:
    he don't see any results but the message:
    "Your search did not return any results. Try again. "
    I added "oim-admin-group" with "read" permissions to
    * Organization > Xellerate User > Administrative Group >
    * Organization > ABC (User's org) > Administrative Group >
    Also, in (with "read" permissions)
    * Resource > "Request" > Resource Administrators
    * Resource > "Xellerate users" > Resource Administrators
    * Resource > "Xellerate Organizations" > Resource Administrators
    However, "admuser" still not able to track requests and sees same response.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks,

    Looks like the "Administrative queues" implementation could have been planned around design time. Then the requests could be assigned and managed by different roles(groups) member with different access levels in OIM.
    However, in my current setup - all workflows follows this rule 1) Route the request for manager approval 2) After successful manager approval, route it for application group approval (2nd step of approval). Implementation of "Administrative queues" in this setup looks difficult to me.
    Any comment?
    Thanks,

  • TcLookupOperationsIntf method usage in OIM 10g JSP

    We are trying to use the tcLookupOperationsIntf in OIM-10g to populate few lookup fields on manual selection.
    But while trying to use getLookupValues, getLookupValuesForColumn we couldn't achieve the same.
    Both the above quoted methods require different parameters; tried different combinations but none seem to work or most probably headed in a wrong direction.
    Below is a code snippet of same attempt, please advice
    <tctags:lookupfield
                             selectionColumn="Lookup Definition.Lookup Code Information.Code Key"
    className="Thor.API.Operations.tcLookupOperationsIntf"
    methodName="getLookupValues"
    columnNames="Lookup Definition.Lookup Code Information.Code Key,Lookup Definition.Lookup Code Information.Decode"
    fixedFilter="Lookup Definition.Lookup Code Information.Code Key:<Code Key Value>"
    lookupAPI="-2"
                             </tctags:lookupfield>
    the same works fine for tcOrganizationOperationsIntf/tcUserOperationsIntf.
    Below is the error captured in logs, on clicking the lookup defined by the above tctags

    Using OOTB API it will not be possible to achieve.
    You need to customize your JSP.
    You can use Javascript to achieve this. Approach can be as follow-
    1. Get values of both lookups at the time of page load. (It will avoid page refresh and other complexity of page reload to fetch 2nd lookup)
    2. Store both in Java Script variables.
    3. When one of the lookup field value changes, call a JavaScript function which will change value of second field.
    You may need to have plain HTML field if OOTB field is not working.

  • Self-Registration in OIM 10g: how to install, customize and use of  SPML

    Hello. Can someone point me to any documentation (Oracle or other) on self-registration in OIM 10g. Like doc on how to install it and customize it. Also a doc on how to set up self-registration on a separate server and talk to OIM server using SPML.

    Refer doc below:
