OIM - How do you migrate USR table changes?

If I made a change to the User Attributes in OIM (11g 11.1.1.5.0) and want to migrate this change to dev, qa, prod. What is the best way of accomplishing this?
Do you:
- import the User.xml metadata file
- import the User Metadata deployment manager file
- both
- neither, maybe making the same change manually instead?

The metadata import wasn't enough for me this time. Here's the error message I received in QA when trying to create a user with just pulling in the User.xml file:

If your data model is at all reasonable, I would expect that you would just want

AND color != 'Red'but I can't see how this would relate to data stored in multiple tables.

Hi Fernando,
The tables for Order Management will mostly be in ONT schema - APPS schema only holds Views, Synonyms, PL/SQL Packages and similar abstractions.
In SQL Developer make a connection to the APPS schema, then go to Synonyms and you'll see the tables (note you should filter as there are lots of objects in Apps schema)!
In the synonym SQL tab you can see the base schema for the table, e.g.
CREATE OR REPLACE SYNONYM "APPS"."OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL" FOR *"ONT"*."OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL";
Make a connection to the base schema, e.g. ONT.
Then you'll see the ONT tables under the Tables folder.
Alternatively, connect as apps and execute SQL "desc OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL"
Or look at the APPS schema views instead, e.g. OE_ORDER_HEADERS

How do You Make Accurate Speed Changes To Clips?

How do you apply a speed change to an audio clip in with frame accuracy? I have 2 audio clips, one from a camera and the other from a cheap solid-state recorder. The latter has audio drift and needs a one-off, constant adjustment to sync it with the camera audio.
However, FCP only wants to execute clip speed changes down to 1/10th of 1%, which is not small enough. Does anyone know what to do here - either within FCP or Sountrack Pro? Thanks.

I just know that often when capturing long segments of DV tape for our shows, we occasionally get a clip that comes in at 47.998 or 48.002, instead of the solid 48kHz.
When I export to aiff, it seems to clear up any sync drifting we experience with the original clips.
Might give it a go.
STPro is a solid option as others pointed out. I simply suggested a quick fix to a possible sync/drift issue. (quicker than learning a new interface...though that's something that should be done anyway, for the tools STPro offers).

That means you will not have access to Sage at all from a Mac. If Sage is a work requirement, you will have to set up your Mac to run Windows as well as Mac OS. If this is a home product, there are many Mac financial products to which you could probably import your current data on the PC.

No IPTC caption on import!- How did you migrate xl-library to Aperture?

How can you possibly migrate a 100.000 plus image library into Aperture without having to completely redo the IPTC captions after import?
I find my images mainly by IPTC searches (so far iView pro) which to me represent years of captioning work.
Now that 1.5 has finally given us more control to reference our library I started to get excited again about Aperture, but IPTC only on export is not enough IMO.
How did you manage to ideal having DAM and Raw processor in one app?

Hi again. To explain better what I meant - I didn't use Annoture, I just used the function in iView itself whereby you can "synch" the metadata that you add in iView back to the file itself, so it is stored within the image file. Then when you import that image file into Aperture, the information is correctly read.
There is one problem - iView uses some fields that (I think) are not read by Aperture (Location, maybe ??) or that are not used correctly (iView stores "People" in the "Contact" field for example) However, there is also a script in iView that allows you to copy metadata items from place to place, so you could copy the iView Location field to Keywords, so that it is seen by Aperture when you import it.

I am in the process of migrating from open office to Numbers, since Numbers really does look a lot nicer… however there is one point that I cannot find how to do in Numbers.
If I select a table in Safari, then in Open Office I can paste that table, and it will go into the rows/columns as a table. How can I do something similar in Numbers?

Safari & Numbers have improved in recognizing a table on a web page & pasting it as expected.
Often what looks like a table on a web page really isn't & the blame should be on the web page author not Safari or Numbers. I had this problem for a few years with my online Discover Card statements. Using Firefox or Camino made no difference. When I complained to them their response was "tough, live with it" although maybe not in those exact words. I would paste the data into a Pages document & use a lot of find & replace to get the data formatted to use in a Numbers spreadsheet.
But… it could be that the problem you're having is that you have the cursor active in the cell when you paste. If the cursor is active Numbers "thinks" you want to paste everything into that cell. Click outside the table then click once on the starting cell, making sure that the cell is outlined but you don't see the cursor & then paste. This is a much more common cause than above.

We are in the process of migrating from Exchange 2007 to 2013. In 2007 nobody had the ability to change their profile picture (seen in Outlook and in our online phonebook). However, it would appear that users already migrated to 2013 who have a iOS
device connected via ActiveSync can now use the OWA for iPhone mail client on their mobile to change their profile picture.
We do not want users to have this ability, we have already seen some inappropriate images appear and need to stop this. How can I restrict it?

How do you get a table to flow onto the second page?

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I cannot figure out how to get my table to continue on to the second page. If you look at my screenshot, you can see that my table was so big so the whole thing was moved to the next page. I want it to remain on the 1st page and have additional rows continue on to the second page. In the previous version of pages, the column titles would also appear on the second page. Thank you very much for your help.

Go to View > Show Invisibles (Shift+Command+I).
This will display Paragraph marks (¶) at the end of each paragraph.
Delete the paragraph mark (¶) that is at the end of the paragraph before the table, i.e. just between the table and the paragraph.
This will bring the table surely just beneath the paragraph (text), I suppose.

How do you migrate a FileVault-protected account from a Time Machine backup?

Recently the hard drive on my Macbook Pro died and had to be replaced. Prior to the hard drive's failure, I had backed up my sole user account to an external hard drive using Time Machine. When setting up the new hard drive for the first time, I used Migration Assistant to restore my user account to my new hard drive. However, when I go to log in to the user account I transferred over, I encounter the following error: "You are unable to log in to the FileVault user account "User" at this time. Log in failed because an error occurred." I am absolutely positive I entered the correct password.
My next step was to boot from the install disc and repair the hard drive and permissions. The same problem occurred when I tried to login.
Then I wiped the hard drive and installed Snow Leopard normally without attempting to migrate anything. After the installation, I attempted migration, only to see an error message under the "Users" heading, saying, "User accounts protected by FileVault can't be transferred." Looking at the backups I have on my external hard drive, I cannot see any of my individual files, which I could when logged in on my previous hard drive.
I have scoured the internet for possible solutions but none seem to fit the situation. The techs at the Genius Bar tried a few things beyond my level of technical know-how and were unsuccessful, and they did not seem too optimistic about my chances. They mentioned that I should consider a visit to a data recovery center if I could not find any way to fix this issue.
This is immensely important, considering my FileVault-protected account nestled away in the Time Machine backups on my external hard drive contains all of my work. While I am willing to make the trip to the data recovery center, I would like that to be a measure of last resort. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

A google search for You are unable to log in to the FileVault user account yielded many hits, including this one: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4184 which might help resolve your issue. I don't use TM, so that's all I have to offer.
