OIM Migration from version 9.1.0 to 9.1.0.2

Hello Everybody,
I'm working in a migration process of Oracle Identity Manager from 9.1.0 to 9.1.0.1 and them to 9.1.0.2.
The process works Ok with the core of OIM but we having a problem with the migration of the AD connector.
At the first time, we applied the process directly (according to the oracle documentation) and the object "user" looks corrupt.
We call Oracle and they told us that the correct way to install a new version of the connector is importing it from a OIM new instalation (with the new connector), but this process corrupt the object "user".
Did somebody work in a OIM migration process? Does somebody know the correct way to migrate OIM?

First you need to determine the Upgrade Path and methods available to the New Oracle Database 10g Release.

Based on the error message that “Package migration from version 8 to version 6 failed with error 0xC001700A ", we can infer that the underlying cause is that the current SSIS package is created in SSDT BI 2014 for Visual Studio 2013, while you are trying
to execute it with SQL Server 2012 DTEXEC. It seems that SQL Server 2014 Integration Services (SSIS) is installed on a machine that has SQL Server 2012 Integration Services (SSIS) installed, multiple versions of the dtexec utility are installed.
SSIS versions are not backwards compatible. SSDT BI for VS 2013 is used for SQL Server 2014, SSDT BI for VS 2012/SSDT 2010 is used for SQL Server 2012. Please notice that once a package is upgraded from SSIS 2012 package schema to SSIS 2014 package schema,
the package cannot be downgraded. So we cannot open or execute the SSIS 2014 packages with SSIS 2012 anymore.
To fix this, please ensure that you run the correct version of the utility, at the command prompt run the utility by entering the full path (<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn).

[OIM] Migrate from WebSphere to WebLogic

Hi people,
I would like to migrate our OIM implementation from WAS to WLS, is that possible? Is there some documentatition to achieve this goal?

If you only transfer configuration the chances of something breaking are minimal.
On the other hand if you need transactions as well things get a bit more complex.
In either case a full regression test is always a must as there always is the risk that a supporting jar or even dll (if one windows) in the app server is of slightly different version which introduces a change of behavior.

Planning classical application Migration from version 9.3.1 to 11.1.1.3.

Old Version
Hyperion Version 9.3.1

Windows Server 2000 R2
1.I have created classical planning applicationin(CPLAN) in the 11.1.1.3 which similar to 9.31 application, interms of application name, database names and dimensions.
2.I took backup of CPLAN of 11, and CPLAN of 931.
3.stopped planning, Essbase , RMI Registry, Shared services.
4.Restored the 931 CPLAN Backup( of SQLServer 2000) into 11113 CPLAN(SQL Server 2005)
5.HSP_OBJECT table - in this table object id column and objectname column is password, Here tried with both old password hypadmin and new password admin.
6.HSP_USERS table - USER _ID =50001 and SID= (I given 11 version details)
7. HSP_SYSTEMCFG Table- I tried with changing the VERSION from 9 to 11 and cleared the verion - tried with both the ways
and EIE_SERVER changed- this is shared service path with port number and server name changed.
I mean http://mycurrent server:28080/interop.
8. Above These3 Tables columns changed and started the services all planning etc.
9. tried to open planning web, i got the application CPLAN name, once enter the username and password and CPLAN , its giving error. the error message , error while processing this current page, check the log for details. I got this error message.
10. I checked the logs, Access.log, and Hyperion Planning.log these two logs verified i didnot find any error.
--please help meon this who has done this kind of migration. ASAP.

Peoplesoft Project migration from version(PT8.48) to lower version(PT8.45)

I would like to know the migration of a project from higher version to lower version
for example PeopleTools 8.49 or 8.48 to PeopleTools 8.43 or 8.44 or 8.45

Note if I already tested many time to move project from lower to higher PT version with this methid I never tested it from higher to lower version.
Furthermore, need to be tested, validated, and I'm not really sure it is a supported way (modify PT release in .ini file) to copy project accross version.

Error while migrating from version 9201 to 9204

Actully i m migrating the Oracle 9201 to 9204,
now after installing only 9201,
1. I created the database and checked, everything was working fine.
2. i shutdown the database.
3. check, still some processes related to oracle like (HTTP server) were running,
4. i started upgrated to 9204, the process of updating the files FAILS 10-15 times, as i IGNORE that.
5. After uncessfully completing the path i logged to sqlplus giving error as
$ sqlplus

Problem after migration from version 4.50.933 to 4.60.911

Hello,
I have one server SGD with users, applications and servers declared on it in version 4.50.933. I have downloaded the version 4.60.911 to upgrade it. Before, I have made a new server and install the previous version on it. I have made it as secondary to import configuration. After this first phase finished, I have promote it as primary and stop it. The secondary has been promoted as primary. I have detach the secondary from my stopped primary and I have two same server with same users, applications and servers.
After this first step, I have installed the 4.60.911 on this clone server. The installation is successfully completed without errors. I can login on it but in the web administration interface, I have only applications. The users and the servers are not present.
In command line (with tarantella object list_contents --name ".../_ens/" command), I can see some objects but I want to see the contents of it, I have this error:
You must name an organization, organizational unit, Active Directory container
or domain component object.
I have done these manipulation several times and I can't import the data of 4.50.933 version to the 4.60.911.
Is there commands to rebuild the data? Or a method to import data from the previous version ?
I have too many users, applications and servers declared to reconfigure them manually.

Migration from Essbase 7.5.1 to system 9 and then to 11

Hi all,
I have an immediate requirement to migrate huge essbase applications from essbase 7.5.1 to system 9.
as per my knowledge, i believe that we can migrate from 7.5.1 --->9.2.0.2--->9.3.1 or EPM 11i.
Anybody who have worked on the same please confirm.
Or if there is any ohter way to do it, please let me know.

OIM Groups Issues - Groups migrated from OIM 9101 to 9102

Hi,
I migrated the OIM groups from the old system (9101) to the newy built OIM version 9102.
I have a user created called TESTW - it has the GROUP_System_Adminitators (custom OIM Group).
This group has SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (Delivered) as the member group.
Also, GROUP_System_Adminitators has menu options for Users Search.
However, this user is unable to search Users. He is able to see the User > Search menu.
Once a string is placed and click on search, no users are found (though OIM has 50k users).
Am I missing something here? Please assist.

Go to Organization > Manage > Search organizations > Selct org in which 50K users have been created > Select ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP (Drop Down)
Assignyour custom group here and try to logic with auser who is part of that custom group

Possible cause for Faces failures (migration from an older version)

I've had no luck with Faces recognizing faces in images.
I think that the issue is with how the images got to iPhoto.
I imported 2000+ images from my iBook (iPhoto 04). Of those, Faces failed in ~>95% of the images. Today, I took two junky photos with Photobooth, including a dark and distant shot. Faces recognized that there was a face in the image, although it hadn't learned the face, yet (I know, that takes time).
I believe the issue might have to do with the fact that I imported images from a distant version (i.e. coming from iPhoto 4 instead of iPhoto 07 or 08, or whatever).
Or, possibly that I migrated from another machine as opposed to upgrading iPhoto on the same machine?
Hopefully this line of reasoning will isolate the problem's cause.
Please reply if you are having success or not, as well how your photos got into iPhoto '09 (i.e. Migration from another computer and type, prior iPhoto version, etc.)

I just imported (from my Treo) three images that were exactly the same as the three successes from Photobooth.
Being from different sources they cannot be the same. Maybe the face in the photo was the same but the rest of the file, i.e. the metadata is different. Some image sources write metadata differently and that can cause issue. It's probable that iPhoto is expecting the metadata to adhere strictly to the EXIF/ITPC standards and some of the sources don't in writing the metadata to the file.
Report the problem to iPhoto via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html and give the details of the photos as you've done here. That will help them better understand the issue and get a fix out.

DB quries wrt migration from oim 9.1 to oim 11g (11.1.1.5)

We have to do migration from oim9.1 to oim 11g (11.1.1.5) with new DB and AppServers.
High level Steps are as follows
1. import the existing OIm9.1 DB to new DB.
2. Create Additional schemas (SOA,MDS) on new DB.
3. Install OIm 11g and SOA applications on new servers
4. Migrate new DB's OIm 9.1 Schema to support oim 11g (by running Oracle_IDM_Home/bin/ua.sh)
5. Some other releated tasks (As mentioned in the upgrade guide)
6. Migrate OIM application middlte tier
7. Other tasks (As mentioned in the upgrade guide)
Our requirement is
Step 1, we have to import DevDB data to new tempDB and will proceed with new tempDB for migration.
Then after, we wanted to import the tempDB to NewDevDB and then wanted to replace newDevDB data(which is imported from tempDB) with QA DB's data (its QA oim 9.1 DB). (We have limitations to take QADB at first time itself, thats why, we are taking Dev DBdata in step 1).
My questions are
1. What are the required changes required for Moving oim11g DB to another DB (by dumping the same DB).
2. After, performing the migration, can we dump only the OIm 9.1 DBdata(QA) to OIm 11g DB? if yes, will it affect the oim 11g DB Schema.
Please suggest me, or do let me know, if you need any other information.

I think, I can consider my Question #1 is as equal to Oracle Identity Manager Database Host and Port Changes, So I can use the steps mentioned in the link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14308/handlinglcm.htm#CIAJBHHH (Section: 13.1.1 Oracle Identity Manager Database Host and Port Changes). Do we need to do any additional modification with in any configuration files? Please, can any one confirm it.

You can buy Lion in the App Store now, but move to iCloud now. If you wait to Mountain Lion, you will only have Mail in Snow Leopard, so you will lose syncing unless you use Lion or Mountain Lion. It's up to you
