OKB9 Settings for Revenue Element

I have a requirement to assign the Sales Revenue cost element to a profit centre.
In my case under one company code, I have 3 profit centres.  So the sales revenue cost element has to be assigned to these 3 profit centres separately.  But I am confused how to assign the this single revenue cost element to all these profit centres.  Currently from sales module, the error is happeneing for want of assigning CO object while doing the sales postings.  If we assign cost centre also in OKB9, another messge is coming 'cost centre is blocked for revenue postings'.  I can make the cost centre open for revenue postings.  But cost centre is not normally used for revenue postings, right ?  What is the standard practice for solving this issue ?

The following options are available to you
a. The sales order and therefore any entry posted as a result of it (goods issue, billing, payment receipt), by default picks the profit center from the material master (costing view or sales org view).
b. The default profit center can be overwritten in the sales order (and therefore in all subsequent entries) by using the sales order substitution rule.SPRO - Controlling - Profit Center Accounting-Profit Center Accounting-Sales Orders-Sales Order Substitutions-Define Substitution Rules and Assign Substitution Rules.
c. The last option is to use an FI susbtitution rule (OBBH) but this is normally used for direct FI postings and I am not able to think of any scenario in sales processing where you will want to use this.

  • How do I pick the right settings for Premiere Elements 10?

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and want to edit videos that I had received from a company that transferred my Super 8 home videos to digital format and saved them on an external hard drive. They have avi file extension, Apple Motion JPEG A codec , frame size: 1920 x 1080, pixel aspect ratio: 16:9, Frames per second: 29.97. I am not sure what settings to select for the best picture quality. I have tried some and the quality is poor. I need help. Thanks

Unfortunately, you can not edit MJPEG videos in Premiere Elements, Editer.
Actually, some people can. It depends on your machine. But for the most part, it won't go -- and there's no guarantee that even installing that codec will make it. (But you can try. Just install your camera's software -- which sometimes works.)
The wisest solution is to convert the file to a DV-AVI using a program like MPEG Streamclip, as discussed in this FAQ.

  • Make Default Settings for cost element -OKB2

    Hi,
What is the importance of the this process?
Please give your views, I have read the information provided by SAP.
    Regards,
    Pankaj

    Hi
This process is for creating Cost Elements.
We can create Cost Elements in FS00 by selecting Edit Cost Element and giving Validity Period and Cost Element category.
We can create Cost Elements in KA01 also.
In the above 2 processes we can create a single Cost Element only at a time.
If you want to create more number of Cost Elements at a time, then you need to do the Process of Automatic Creation of Cost Elements, Make Default Settings -->OKB2 , Create Batch Input Session -->OKB3 and Execute Batch Input Session -->SM35.

  • What are the settings for Primere Elements 9 if I've filmed with a Canon Powershot sx50 HS?

I just got this camera and I want the best quality possible. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to fully know if the settings I try create that. I get a fuzz or noise on objects like if I'm wearing a black jacket it's like static. When I put the video on my phone which is an Android Galaxy s4 it converts it into mp4 format and I get much more clear results than on my computer which perplexes me. I did a lot of trial and error with my previous camera (JVC Full HD Everio) which I got the same results. My newer Canon should be leagues ahead of the JVC, but I really can't tell as of yet. If anyone could help that would be awsome. I have examples of my trials and errors from my Youtube videos which you can see I felt I was slowly making progress with the JVC Oppositeofhood - YouTube

Then I saw your latest post
Wait, I think I just found it. I pressed record on different settings to take pictures with like portrait to see if it would make a difference and when I uploaded them to my computer I found where it shows the BIt rate and it varied. They run at 23 frames per second 1920 x 1080 MOV video files and all the Bit rates are like 36,356 35,414 ,36,521
If your camera is recording with a variable bitrate, the Bitrate variations from file to file should not be contributing to the issue. But it does raise the issue related to whether or
not we are setting the appropriate bitrate level in the export settings. What are the units for 36,356, 35,414, and 36,517 -
kbps (also can be written Kbps) and is kilobits per second
    or
Mbps which is megabits per second.
Let us try this for one of your 1920 x 1080p24 videos.
    Go through the following workflow
    Manually set project preset...
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR 1080p24
When you go to export your edited Timeline content, then use
    Share
    Computer
    QuickTime
with Presets = NTSC DV 16:9 - that is going to be customized to 1080p24 (H.264.mov) under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset
The essential settings under the Advanced Button/Video Tab
    Video Codec = H.264
    Frame Width = 1920
    Frame Height = 1080
    Frame Rate = 23.976
    Field Type = Progressive
    Aspect = Square Pixels (1.0)
Now here is where we are going to experiment....
    Bitrate
Check Mark next to Limit Data Rate to and type in 36000 before kbps
note the file size of the export as well as the quality of the playback.
Repeat the whole process but in export
Remove the check mark next to Limit Data Rate. The Bitrate field will be disabled.
note the file size of the export as well as the quality of the playback.
We will be watching for your results.
    Thanks.

  • Language settings for shared elements

I am encountering some problems that most probably are language related with items and custom attributes.
We have installed both Norwegian and Swedish, and the shared elements page group has activated translations. All my custom attributes were default set to enable translations, but I want to disable these as we won't need this yet. When unchecking the enable translations option I get a warning stating that all attribute values not related to global languages will be lost.
What does this mean? I really need to see som documentation as to what happens when translations are applied.

You don't need to remove the setting from the attributes. Just make the languages unavailable in the page group properties. That will effectively disable the translation feature for the unavailable languages in the page group.
The "Enable Translations" property means that a different value for the attribute is allowed for each language. If translations are not enabled for an attribute, the value of the attribute is identical for each language.
For example, say you have an attribute called CONTACT, in which you enter an email address. If translations are enabled, each translation can have it's own CONTACT. If translations are not enabled, updating the CONTACT attribute for any language will update the value for all languages.
If you remove the "Enable Translations" property for an attribute, the value of the attribute for each language will revert to the value for the default language. However, please test this before you do it to an attribute that is widely used.
What else did you need to know about translations?

  • Can we create a Budget & Availability Control for revenues with internal orders?

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I have created an expense budget with the help of an internal order and have assigned the same to an expense GL (cost element). I have done all the necessary system settings and the system gives an error message when the F-02 document posting exceeds the budget.
My query is, I want to replicate the the above for revenue postings. I have done the same system settings for revenue posting however the system does not give an error when the budget amount is exceeded.
Can I please get some assistance with this requirement?
    Best Regards,
    Akshay

    Hi Akshay,
System will not give the error in the case of Revenue GL. Because all the revenue GL will be hit for credit. It means it will update negative against the budget available. It means
Current Budget-(-Revenue Budget)= Current Budget + Revenue Budget= Available Budget
Because of this system will never give the error.

  • Sales order & OKB9 Settings

Here we want to book an expense in the Sales Order for some internal control purpose.  For that expense booking, a cost centre is also to be defaulted by the system.  In our case CO-PA is not active.
As I understand, Sales Order is a cost object.  The cost centre that will be put for this expense item is also a cost object.
I plan to set OKB9 settings for cost centre for this cost element plant wise.
I am confused which cost centre would be used by the system for this expense posting in the Sales order item ?  From the Sales order or from the OKB9 settings.

    Hi All,
we facing an  issue with sales order cost objective vs OKB9 cost object.
For IC PO service material, we assigned account assignment category 4.Reasonis Service material was not showing on G\R account.
The G\L account 7898788, we assigned to Service Item (material type DIEN)  , for G\Cost 7898788 cost element is assigned in OKB9. Combination business + order 3478787.
Now conflict with sales order cost objective vs OKB9  internal order cost object.

  • Best PE7.0 export settings for Youtube HD, Vimeo or Smugmug?

    Hi all,
I'm really new to video editing and I can't find any recommendations on the best Premiere Elements 7 export settings for Youtube HD, Vimeo or Smugmug. It seems like most of them want you to upload in 1280x720.
My original source is 1920x1080 30p AVCHD from a Canon HF100. Obviously, I would like to keep it at the same frame rate. There doesn't appear to be a preset in PE7 (or a way at all) to output 1280x720 30 into an MPEG container with H.264 encoding. When I go into the advanced properties of a preset like "H.264 1920x1080i 30" or "MPEG2 1920x1080i 30" and choose 1280x720, I no longer have an option for 29.97 fps - the only options are 23.976 or 24 fps. It seems bad to change this, right?
I see the preset for "HD 720p 30" which appears to be MPEG encoding of the video stream instead of H.264. This seemed to work OK, but I wasn't sure about it, because when I choose it I see in the description a line that says TV Standard: NTSC. A number of web sites indicate that H.264 is preferred, but I don't really understand why.
I also found a way to do H.264 in a Quicktime container. This seemed a little suboptimal because you can't do variable bitrate. When I unselected the "select bitrate" checkbox, it seemed like a quality of 50 yielded a .mov file with a bit rate of 2.87Mb/s, and a quality of 100 yielded a .mov file with a bit rate of 26Mb/s. It is confusing to me how the quality setting affects the bitrate on the quicktime containers.
I'm leaning towards using the "HD 720p 30" preset and working with the bit rate choices, but am open to comments. What do others think?
And on a related question - assuming we choose the "HD 720p 30" preset as a starting point, given the 1GB file restriction at Youtube, it seems to make sense to choose a bitrate that allows both good quality and reasonable file size. I don't know much about whether VBR 1 pass, 2 pass or CBR would be best for this kind of online HD video. Google is a little unhelpful here: http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=132461
This page (http://webvideotechniques.com/123/bigger-and-better-encoding-for-youtube-hd) seems to indicate aiming for a bitrate of 8Mbps with a minimum of 4Mbps, including 2 pass VBR.
So, basically, I'm confused and a little overwhelmed. I think I have solutions that work, but it's hard to tell. What does the greater community think? Thanks.

Thanks very much E Mann, that was a very helpful thread. I think it actually would apply for youtube as well. For other users, here's a direct link to the settings for Premiere Elements:
    http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/12/08/exporting-with-adobe-premiere-in-720p/
    Roughly, the answer is:
    Quicktime container
    Video codec: H.264
Quality: 80 (I used 100 and it just takes longer to encode)
Frame Rate: 29.97 (I guess if you are shooting in 24p, this might be different)
    Bitrate: 5000 (I might try 8000)
    Audio codec: AAC
    Output channels: Stereo
    Frequency: 48kHz
Now, my own personal changes to this recipe are:
Quality: 100 - takes longer to encode, no file size difference
    Bitrate: 8000
    Frequency: 44kHz (recommended by youtube)
One final note is that for Vimeo it appears you may have to try encoding in 29.97 or 23.97 and test to see which you like better. Apparently Vimeo caps fps at 24.
The nice thing about this is that you can get a quality video directly out of Premiere Elements and you don't have to pipe it through another program.

  • Costing COPA and cost element category '1' for Revenue and COGS

    Hi,
In my SAP environment historically Revenue GL accounts were created as cost element with category '1' (costs) and are being posted against cost centres. I know it is not SAP best practice, but it has been working like that in here for years. We have not activated and used COPA so far.
I am currently analysing options of implementing costing based COPA. I wonder if the fact that Revenue and COGS accounts are created as cost element with category '1' should cause any issues with COPA.
I know that in a perfect world it should be '11' for revenues and '12' or no cost element for COGS, I just hope we can leave CE category '1'.
    Thank you,
    Karol

    Hi Ajay,
Thank you for explanation. I feared it would cause issues. However, I checked with one company code that has active COPA.
It has two Revenue accounts: one set as '11' , which is used for most automatic SD postings and other one with '1' category which is 'Other revenues' - sometimes used for automatic postings (configured in VKOA for services) and often used for manual revenue postings.
What I noticed is that documents posted for this 'Other Revenues' were posted against cost centre but also profitability segment was populated. However, it was only populated with sales quantity, no Revenue value field was updated. It must have been configured so it does not show error in COPA but update is not complete in PA table. No COGS split value fields are updated as these postings refer to services.
What I also obseved is that all COGS accounts are set as '1' and are linked to cost centre. But this seems to not affect COPA and it creates COPA document with correct COGS split into cost component category value fields.
So I assume this is only issue for Revenue accounts with '1'. COGS can be left with '1' for time being.
Do you know which config for Revenue account  with '1' might have stopped COPA from giving error while posting invoices in SD?
    Thank you,
    Karol

  • Projects settings for AVCHD MTS files in Adobe Premiere Elements 8

    Hello,
I have read several discussions already, about importing AVCHD MTS file in Adobe Elements (version 8), but I'm also confused a littlebit, so I would like to confirm if I'm correct.
FYI, I have a Canon Legria HFR26 camera and am using Adobe Premiere Elements 8 (with the latest updates installed).
According to the specs in the Canon instruction manual:
Videos are recorded in high definition using AVCHD specifications
    (MPEG-4/H.264 compression).
    Audio compression: Dolby Digital 2ch
The camera supports making video's in different format, but I have done it in the default SP format, which results in a resolution of 1440x1080 (50 fields per second, interlaced).
I have copied the video from the camera to my harddisk, and Windows also mentions the video's as AVCHD of 1440x1080 (Bitrate 7672kbps).
The frame rate is 25 frames/second. I assume this is correct for 50i?
So, when I import my video's into Adobe Elements 8, I select the following projects settings:
    PAL, AVCHD, HD 1080i 25
Because the description matches my video files:
    - For editing with 1440x1080i AVCHD camcorders.
    - 16:9 interlaced HD video at 25 frames per second.
    - 48kHz audio.
The video's are imported correctly and I can play them. However, as soon as I drop a video on the timeline, Adobe immediately starts background rendering the video (a red line appears on the timeline).
What I understand from some discussions, is that this shouldn't happen, because the video format doesn't match the project settings. On the other hand, I have also read that for Adobe Elements 8 this is normal behaviour and it always start background rendering AVCHD video's.
Is this expected behaviour or should I chance my projects settings or maybe even convert my video files to a different format?
    Thanks,
    Michiel

The ability to work natively with AVCHD files was not added until version 10, Michiel. So you'll still have to render while you work in version 8.

  • With Premiere elements 11, when Publish/Share (saving) a finished video, selecting H.264  .mov file type, what are the recommended Codec and Aspect settings for a crisp video and a small file size?

With Premiere Elements 11, when Publish/Share (saving) a finished video, selecting H.264  .mov file type, what are the recommended Aspect and Codec settings , for a crisp video with a small file size?

    Gary Krouse
We will customize a very detailed reply, but
    (a) What are the properties of your source media?
    (b) What did you or the program set as the project preset to match the properties of the source media?
    (c) What specific requirements do you have for this H.264.mov export file?
File size can be a compromise between bitrate, file size, and quality.
    Thanks.

  • Using Project Settings creates an app.config and dozens of errors about "Could not find schema information for the element...

I am trying to work with Application settings.  I would just like to put together a very simple example of using these, but I can't get the most basic example to work.  Virtually every tag regarding the new Settings produces an Error "Could not find the schema information for the element "applicationSettings". or the element "Settings" etc. etc.  I am not using IIS, this is not a Web Project, and I am not working with User Settings.  Just simple read-only Application Settings.  I've read every MSDN page regarding this subject, I don't see that I am missing a reference - HELP !!!
    REPRODUCING THE PROBLEM:
Step 1. Create a new C# solution and Windows Forms project.
    Step 2. Add a reference to System.configuration
Step 3. Right click the project, choose Properties, then Settings.
Step 4. Using the Settings Designer, create ONE setting called "MySetting" as a String with the value "MyValue".
RESULT: Observe the Errors like these, complaining about all of the Settings tags and elements.
Message 1 Could not find schema information for the element 'applicationSettings'.
Message 2 Could not find schema information for the element 'LoadOriginalLists.Properties.Settings'.

Ummmm... okay so these are Messages that are in the Error List.  Whether or not they are actually Errors is debatable.  They are in the Error List, so they are errors.
The application runs, so my question is slightly changed to the following.
I would like to use Application Settings.  However, having settings in my app.config pollutes my Error List with a bunch of meaningless messages like "Could not find the schema information for...".  These messages then hide real errors.
Am I missing some setting or is there something I can do to make Visual Studio not show me these messages?

  • Correct video settings for a Nikon D300s to input into Adobe Premiere Elements 10?

I understand that it is critical when using Adobe Premiere Elements 10 that the video settings of your project match the settings of your camera. I want to upload video from my Nikon D300s DSLR which has the video setting options of 480P (640 x 480), 576P (720 x 576), 720P (1,280 x 720), and 1080i (1,920 x 1,080). I will primarly be making videos either to upload to You Tube, or save on a dvd. Can anyone tell me which would be th right settings for my camera and Premiere?

It depends on which resolution you're shooting your videos in.
It looks like that cam shoots in 1280x720 at 24p. There should be a DSLR project setting for that.
But if the camera shoots in all of the video modes you've listed, you can shoot it in any -- just make sure to select the DSLR project settings that match the video.
