Old topic..but i read previous and applied still cant work

Question

i got a panel,i need the button to be press when i just enter anyhow.i tried b4
getRootPane().setDefaultButton(changeButton); somesort like this..but still cant work..can give me a hints how to do tat?
this is part of my code to build the panel..the button i wan it to perfrom as enter is 'b1',so can teach me how?the panel is my main panel,and i got a panel for my button call buttonButton which contain the 'b1'.pls
private void createGui() {
          setLayout(new BorderLayout());
          JComponent panel = buildPanel();
          buildButton();
          add(panel, BorderLayout.CENTER);
          add(buttonButton,BorderLayout.SOUTH);
     }

Do you mean to say that enter key doesn't work on the JButton? If YES then try below
KeyStroke enterKeyStroke = KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER,0,false);
<your button>.registerKeyboardAction(<action Listener>,enterKeyStroke ,JComponent.WHEN_FOCUSED);
