i have try to do this but i can't.
i have jus created an demo application for this point.Please resolve it in my demo applicatiuon.

I need here if i enter 10 into P3_ITEM_A =10 Then enter value into
P3_ITEM_B =2, Then onChange P3_ITEM_F =2

P3_ITEM_D = 2, Then onChange P3_ITEM_F =5
P3_ITEM_E = 3 Then onChange P3_ITEM_F =3
if i enter some value into P3_ITEM_B then value change automaticaly into P3_ITEM_F and when i enter value into P3_ITEM_C then add thes value with previous value of P3_ITEM_F till P3_ITEM_E .
I need in last, an pop up alert if value of P3_ITEM_A is not equal to P3_ITEM_F .
Alert Massage sholuld be Please insert number.
How can i do both thing (1) Onchange Event Value in to P3_ITEM_F (2) An Alert if Value of P3_ITEM_A !=P3_ITEM_F.
How can i do this.

Hello Hugeni (?),
I created a Dynamic Action, when the P3_ITEM_A change and his value = 10 then set the value on P3_ITEM_B, you can use this on the other fields according to your needs.
I think the correct way to display the message(alert) is submitting the page and then make a validation to check if the value is equal or not.

My requirement is to push data of a grid to Excel by clicking a button. I have written code in javascript. But if the option in Internet Explorer "Initialize and script controls not marked as safe" is disabled , i am not able to push data to Excel.
It is possible only this option is enabled.
So tried to push data by write code: document.appletname.saveAsCSVFile();
But i am not getting data in Excel in correct format.
It is coming as : first row: Column name1, " column name 2",...
2nd row: value1, "value2",.....
Any ideas on this?

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).

I have a web page with a java script that displays a random picture from a list of images each time you reload the page.

It renders fine when viewed in a browser, but the image does not display when viewed in Dreamweaver Design mode. The random image does not display and lacking the image other things are out of place.

I don't think so, at least not with this script. What you need is for an image to be displayed on the page by default, and for the javascript to only change the src attribute's value. Something like this -
At the point where you want the image have -
<img src="the_path_to_some_default_image.jpg" id="rotation" />
and in the javascript, change this -
document.write('<img src="'+theImages[whichImage]+'">');
to this -
document.getElementById('rotation').src='theImages[whichImage]';
See if that works....

How do I use a Java script in place of a standard link?

Hi! I'm very new to html and totally unfamiliar with Java. Basically my html has a link like this: Mr Nobody and I didn't like how easy it was for spammers to harvest that email address from my website. I looked at this site http://www.bronze-age.com/nospam/ which allowed me to download a javascript .js file and some instructions on how to recode my email link so that it's hidden.
I've loaded the java procedure in the head of the html just like the website says. He says that every link must be converted to a script call; so what previously was Mr Nobody changes to <script>mail2("nobody","fake.address9z",0,"","Mr Nobody")</script>. What does this mean? I replaced the stuff from the inside of the quotes in the href and weird stuff happens. What do I actually replace or how do I call up this script?
I basically have created an image mapped link that I want to call this javascript when clicked.

Problem with Java Script after upgrade from BW 3.5 to BI7

Dear Colleagues,
We're facing the issue with Java Script after upgrade of BW 3.5 to BI7.
Just after update we checked the basic functionality and it occured that some of web templates that use Java Script don't work. They generate seelction screen, but after selection the screen becomes blank without any error messages.
We're currently stucked since web templates weren't converted to BI7 version so they should work exactly as before the upgrade.
We compared the Java code with other environment that was not upgraded - it's perfectly the same.
The only explanation that comes to my mind is that some Java Script settings on the server level were changed during the upgrade but I have no idea where I can check that.

Unfortunately, http cache clean-up did not help. But there is another funny thing I found - for exactly the same 3.5 webtemplate html code returned from WebAS 3.5 was different then from 7.0.
Unfortunately, this editor does not allow to paste complete code, even in CODE brackets, but here are main differences:

When using firefox the following error message appears on the Twitter website regarding Java Script that is already enabled in firefox. It only happens in firefox when I visit the Twitter Website, it doesn't happen on any other website and it does not happen in Internet Explorer when I visit Twitter's website.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

Are you talking about server-side java code (servlets/jsp) or client side (applet)? Given we are in the JSP forum I'll assume we're talking server side.
If so, you are making a common but fundamental mistake. JavaScript executes on the client, not on the server. If you want client data on the server it has to get there somehow. The simplest way to do this in JSP land is via HTTP. So... have your JavaScript code call a JSP (or servlet) and pass the value you want as a URL parameter. Of course this will also change the browser location, so if you don't want this to happen use a frame or iframe to capture your HTTP request.
For example:

Page failure when attempting to save java script in html header

Currently there is java script code for a function that is seeded in the html header of a forms page by apex when the form is generated. This code is for the chicken test for the DELETE button.
The function works as designed, but if I try to "APPLY CHANGES" to the the page definition I get the The page cannot be displayed "Cannot find server or DNS Error". "the url is http://nldg-3.appl.devjones.com:7777/pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept" If I remove the script coding from the HTML header the page will save just fine, but of course no more java script.
I need to add a java script function to the page and I am unable to do so at this time because of this issue. I can reproduce this error on any of the sample apps that I have loaded into apex.

All the forms are created by Apex with a default function in the html header for a delete chicken test as follows:

Even though the function is already a part of the page, if I try to save it, it will fail. I will look into the "black list" a little deeper. I have asked around abit as I also had suspected that, but so far all the answers were that it should not be a problem. If I take out the "SCRIPT" word I can get the page to save, but of course the code is worthless at that point.

I am making an array of quads of all the hyperlinks in a document. I would like to automatically skip over all the bookmarks in the starting pages of a document and just get the links of the hyperlinks.
Now I have to manually set the pages that contain bookmarks so they are not included in the array.
Is there any way to determine if a link is a book mark or hyperlink in java script?

I have been working on converting a set of pdf files with 1000’s of hyperlinks like www.site.com\folder1\file1.pdf#page=10
To jump to a local copy of the files with a relative type link
../folder1/file1.pdf and then go to the proper page.
I have found that it can be done manually by changing the hyperlink to a javascript

I have resorted to the following plan using acrobat javascript, an external keyboard macro recorder and excel in combination to get around the problem
Four folder level acrobat javascripts with “buttons”
One to get all the link quads in an array, in the pdf and report the total number
The second creates a form field in the far corner of the first page and moves there.
The third jumps to each link found by creating a form field just to the left of the link and zooms in so it can be selected by a “mouse click” from the keyboard macro recorder
The forth deletes the form field
The keyboard macro recorder runs javascript 2 and then 3 then clicks on the link just to the right of the middle of the screen and uses keys to get to the advanced editing to get to edit the hyperlink .
The hyperlink is then copied to excel where it is converted using string functions to the needed javascript text to be copied back.
To the acrobat file into a java script (after deleting the hyperlink)
Rinse/lather/repeat
I have been able to convert about 150 links an hour.
Better then hand typing, but not like having java access to the links.
I am looking to improve the solution

I may have been confusing a "acrobat bookmark" and a bookmark in a word file that is converted to a pdf and ends up being a
link of the type:
"Go to a page in this document"
which I do not want in my array vs
a link of the action type:
"Open a web link"
