On going phone problem for 4/5 months
Ok i dont know if im in the right place or not over the 3/4 months ive been having crackling intermite, atm its perm there ive reported it to bt got someone coming on sat to look at it, my main question is as ive had it on going for 3/4 months coming and going and messing with my broadband too can i have the line rewired from where it comes in to flat if enginer aint solve it because this is getting out of hand now and getting feed up of it.. anyone want to give me any ideas i can do or something
when the engineer visits they will replace anything needed to solve the noise problem then it can take 3/5 days stable broadband for your best speed to be obtained

No internet or phone service for over a month
I will try to write calmly, but I am EXTREMELY angry and frustrated with verizon support.
Our internet and phone service have been down for over a month. We've called over and over, and they've sent technicians. The first two technicians disappeared after fiddling around with our cables. Then someone from Verizon came around and said our cables and setup was fine, but it was something wrong at the Verizon office. They said it would be fixed within 2 days.
Then about a WEEK after that, we got angry and called Verizon support. They sent a technician 2 days later, who fiddled around. He said that it should be working within an hour and that he'd call us to see if it was working. Well 2 hours later, it still wasn't working..but Verizon sent me a call on my cellphone saying that our "problem" was cleared.Well IT WASN'T.
And now it's been about 2 weeks since THEN and we haven't had internet or phone service. We filed another request, but it says in the Status that Verizon does not need to send a technician or something. Well WE DO NOT HAVE PHONE OR INTERNET SERVICE. And they have the NERVE to keep sending us bills.
We are just tired of Verizon. We do not know what to do. Somebody get me a lawyer. Or some verizon support that DOESN'T have an indian accent, and can fix this **bleep** problem.

I got the same Central Office story from the (otherwise very helpful) agent with an Indian name that I online chatted with yesterday, which makes that sound like a generic **bleep** response for something that's wrong with the Fios network. I've only been out for about 34 hours so far (they've said I will have service back by the evening of May 3, meaning only 4 1/2 days without service, lucky me!), but I was dumb enough to get phone, internet and TV all through Fios, so I have none of those. Fortunately I kept a Comcast internet account as backup, which is how I can access this forum. I do have a cell phone and I can get a few TV channels over the air, but that's not why I'm paying {please keep your posts courteous}$155 a month. And it is simply insulting to call Support and get put on hold for an hour. I'm reminded of the old Lily Tomlin SNL skit where she says something along the lines of "we're the telephone company, we don't have to care". Verizon may no longer be Ma Bell, but that attitude hasn't changed.

My iPod 4G has been going very slow! I want to restart it but my power button is broken. Please help it's been going slow for the past month. It's even slow as o type this message.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
To reset the iPod without the hardware buttons,
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

No phone line for nearly a month
I can't believe how slow BT are. We moved into a house which had infinity but somehow BT didn't recognise that someone lived there who had a BT line and claimed there wasn't a phone line connected!
We had a phone line at least (BT didn't seem to realise) when we moved in but BT replaced the pole at the end of the garden and from then on we've been isolated - past few weeks. An engineer came out yesterday but couldn't fix the problem, now your telling us we have to wait until the 10th Dec before it can be fixed - we rely on the internet for our work and we are now having to increase our childcare so both of us can go to the office which is costing us a fortune. I don't know how many times we've phoned to complain but nothing ever seems to be sorted. How come other companies are quick at fixing issues but BT are rubbish.
Any help would be great.BT do not provide or maintain the external network. This is done by Openreach who work for all service providers. BT do not get any special treatment.
You would have been given the next available appointment that Openreach had available to BT Retail, who is your Service Provider.

No phone line for nearly a month with no human con...
Our home phone line went dead on 23rd December and whilst I will accept that we've had Christmas and some bad weather (although not particularly bad in this area) we still don't have a phone line. We have spent many hours talking to call centres whose only response has been "Someone will call you back" and no on human ever does.
We have been led to believe that this is a fault which is affecting many people yet none of our neighbours has any problems whatsoever so we feel like we've been 'spun a line' to get rid of us.
I am sure BT will hide behind Outreach saying that they are the company who repair faults but all we want is an explanation rather than a text every few days saying we need more time. WHY do you you need more time is what we want to know.

I seem to lose the connection of my Magic Mouse often, daily and sometimes several times during the day using the Mobee charger even after charging overnight. Ideas?
The charger is plugged into my Cinema Display and has worked fine for 6 months or more.

The problem seems to have just gone away.
I wrote to Mobee, and their answer is to take the batteries out, recharge and see if that does the trick.
Having been through this once before, and sending pictures along of the MM, which didn't help, it was just an oddball problem that has gone away.
I'll keep an eye on things.
I guess it's just one of those mysteries of Apple and the third party.

Ok, I was hoping it would be simple. Next to try are Plugins, Permissions, and Fonts.
If you have no third party Font managers, or plugins, this might be easier. Then you would repair permissions and check your system fonts.

I've had the new iPhone 5 for about a month now, and it is still saying it is currently restoring still. Is that supposed to still be happening? Everything works just fine, but it's not letting me update the new software bc it's still saying it's restoring.

IndiaYou are not addressing Apple here. If you have a problem, describe it and someone might be able to help. Just to be sure, the wi-fi on the phone will go off after the phone goes into sleep mode unless it is actively being used. This is a battery saving measure. If you are actively using the internet, and the phone is still awake, then the wi-fi should remain connected.
What troubleshooting steps have you tried. -
2 days ago my FF3.6.3 started becoming extremely slow/delayed on EVERYTHING/ALL ACTIONS (I have been using 3.6.3 for a few months with NO problems, until 2 days ago). Scrolling going in delayed/slow/jerky 'waves' motion (not smooth & fast), Right-click box very delayed/hangs in coming up, Text typing lagging/intermittent, activity extremely slow/delayed when pointing mouse over anything, changing from tab to tap extremely slow. Bascially EVERYTHING has become sooo slow, delayed, lagging etc. I have tried ALL possible checks (extensions, add-ons, plug-ins, download history, cache, cookies) & viewed nearly ALL the FF help sites. Is this a sudden/recent bug?? It doesnt only happen with Facebook, but EVERY window I open!!

== approx. 2 days agoI've personally not seen this behaviour since Firefox version 2. It however re-appeared for me in 3.6.6 and 3.6.7 (current) and it's bloody awful. Makes everything I do take 50% longer ..... great for efficiency in the modern world.
This 3.6 branch is so riddle with flaws which seem never to be fixed. Each fix / update brings with it more problems ... worst of all I see version 4 is already in development but they cannot even get 3.6 right ??? WTF ????
Mozilla must stop chasing version numbers as has become the trend in the software world. Fix an existing version to perfection then start working on a new branch of the product. -

Just wondering if any one can help. We had Verizon DSL on our home phone line for six years in Worcester MA. The first five years we had little to problems. The last 10 months we’ve have frequent (nearly every day drop out and period where the DSL line can’t connect for minutes to sometimes hours).
We’ve had seven different technicians visit us for a total of thirteen visits. They’ve replaced the line coming into our house multiple times and isolated our home phone lines from the DSL feed but this hasn’t helped. Verizon tech support can’t seem to get back to me with a detailed plan of what they are going to do next and few representatives return my phone calls.
We’ve also tried at least five router and modems and it hadn’t helped. They recently changed the DSL card(?) in the local office (~7000 ft away) and said they switched us to ADS2.
We’re still seeing internet drops and we’re at our wit’s end.
Any ideas?

Dear Sirs,
We are writing to lodge a formal complaint about our Verizon DSL service, and the extremely
poor treatment we have received while trying to resolve this (still unresolved) problem. We have had
intermittent internet outages for the last 12 months. This followed five years of normal DSL service at
the same address. Our problems worsened this spring; our internet is out a few minutes to several
hours a day, most days a week. Our next door neighbors have the same problem with their Verizon
DSL service, though they do not use the internet very often so are less affected than we are. We rely
on consistent internet service for our jobs.
We have had 13 technician visits to our home from a total of seven different technicians. On
multiple occasions, we have also been stood up for scheduled technician visits, including days in
which we took off work to be home. Two of these times in which we were stood up were not visits that
Verizon initiated, where we were told we needed to be home. Additionally, we have received
several “auto-calls” informing us that our problem is fixed and our work tickets have been closed. This
is extremely upsetting to us, as our problem has never been fixed as we have explained many times.
Several technicians have spoke confidently (and condescendingly) that their work would fix our
problem; these are generally the technicians we never saw again.
It is clear from our several calls each month to Verizon that persons and departments within
the company do not communicate with one another. Time and time again, we have been shuffled from
person to person, and now believe that no one wants to expend the effort to deal with our problems.
For example, multiple employees have failed to call us back when they said they would. We have
asked several times for a team of creative thinkers (with the authority to act) to brainstorm some sort
of solution and let us know what Verizon was doing to solve our problem. This has not happened. We
have made extensive notes about our service interruptions and our correspondence with Verizon over
the last several months; these are included in this packet. We also have multiple videos across several
months showing that DSL signal is not available.
We believe that a new line needs to be put in from the local hub to our house, a distance of
only a few blocks. (See notes on reverse of page.) At this point, we have no faith that Verizon is
willing to fix this problem and restore service to us. This is truly a shameful way to do business.
If Verizon is unwilling to restore our DSL service to acceptable levels, we would like Verizon to
Notes: This is what Verizon has told us they have done:
1. Isolated our phone line from DSL.
2. Replaced the line from our street to our home.
3. Switched the F2.
4. Put us on an A-DSL2 card at the local hub.
We have tried seven DSL modems and six routers without success. The problem is not within
our house; that is clear. We believe a new F1 line is needed. We were even told by a company
representative on the phone “well, DSL is on copper wire…” - basically from our view, an admission
that copper wire can go bad, and that this may be the cause of our problems. We have asked for a
new F1 line to be installed several times and been brushed off each time. -
I have a IPhone 4S and since about a week ago my wifi wouldn't let me slide it to the on side and my personal hotspot doesn'tI don't live in Quincy anymore:( but I'm game some weekend! work either. AND also I see a lot of other people with the same problem. And I PAY FOR IT EVERY MONTH . I'm going to stop paying if You can't help me thanks.
