On secure site security lock (bottom right) 'padlock' is missing. how do I activate??

After downloading 'Firefox 4' we noticed the 'padlock' indicating that the line was secure was missing. I have tryed almost everything I know to correct this to no avail. After talking to our bank they told us that the error was with the computer and not with them. We did not have this error with your for-runner.

Iphoto sitting at the bottom right of my screen

When I attach my iphone, normally iphoto comes up on the screen and I have to drop it down out of the way or close it. However, since yesterday, when I attach my Iphone the iphoto package drops down to the bottom right corner of my screen and all I can see is the word iphoto. When I click the iphoto bar in the corner, it iphoto pops up but then disappears to the bottom right again.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is happening here. I must say in the last week, I appear to be having odd things going on. I am currently running a virus checker but it has not come up with any problems so far.

Well you can spare yourself the virus checker. There are no virus problems on the Mac. That's no virus at all. None, Nyet, Nada none at all.
As to the location of the iPhoto Window:
try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)

In ios 6.1.3 I do not have an add to favorites button at the bottom right of my contacts - how do I add a phone number to favorites?

New in this forum and looking for help with ios 6.1.3. In previous versions I could add phone numbers to favorites - most recently using "add to favorites" at the bottom right of my contact. Now there are only 3 choices - "Send Message" - "Face Time" - "Share Contact" and no "Add to Favorites." Any help on this would be appreciated - I have used Favorites for years and can't do it now with new contacts.

I just upgraded to Firefox 4--what happened to the secure site icon at bottom of page?

I just upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to 4. There used to be a secure site icon at bottom right of secure pages. Clicking on the icon opened a window with all security info for that page. Now there is no icon. To get the same info I now have to click on the button in the address bar and then click again on the "more information" button. This is not intuitive and seems like a step backward. Is there a way to bring back the old secure site icon?

Since downloading the latest firefox, the secure padlock logo bottom right has disappeared.

When logging in to a site, for example my bank, the two security feature I checked for on the screen were 'https' before the address and a padlock symbol in the bottom right hand corner. Since downloading Firefox, 'https' still shows but the padlock symbol doesn't.

Using internet banking the gold security lock is missing from bottom right task bar

I am disturbed that the 'safe & secure ' gold padlock symbol that usually appears when using Internet Banking is no longer down near the bottom right Task Bar area. I always log in via the 'Address Bar'. Any reason ? Many thanks.

Ideally you should focus on the new identity button that is explained in the previous posts.
However, there is an addon that adds the padlock icon to Firefox 4. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/padlock-icon/
Because the status bar at the bottom of the window is no longer shown by default, this addon displays the padlock inside the identity button. For users who are trained to look for a padlock, this might help them to move their attention to the new identity button.

Where's the secure HTTP connection symbol? It used to be at the bottom right corner whenever there was a secure website connection

Whenever I made connection with a secure website, the HTTPS secure symbol would show up at the bottom right corner, indicating how strong the https connection was. Sometimes it would be a solid symbol; other times when the website wasn't as secure, it would show up with a line through it. Simple question, but I don't see it anymore and it is helpful to know how strong the security is on certain websites.

In Firefox 4 you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.
You can click the "Site Identity Button" on the left end of the location bar to see the padlock.

A click on the "More Information" button will show details about the connection. 
The background color of the "Site Identity Button" on the left end of the location bar will change color (blue or green) and show the domain in case of a secure https connection.

What happened to the lock icon at the bottom right hand corner?

When I would order items on line, I would see this lock icon at the bottom right hand corner of the window. I thought it meant the site was secure. Now I just see the fox head icon. I don't know if it's secure. Is it?
Nothing is wrong with firefox, but I don't know if this feature has been removed or moved elsewhere. It provided some sense of comfort seeing the lock icon on sites where I was ordering items.

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions. 
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. 
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL. 
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

I am not the only iPad owner that has this set of problems so why didn't you warn us Apple! What are you going to do to help us? I do not want to be forced into buying a newer version of iPad because you broke this one!

In spite of the fact that you said you checked the settings, I still believe that you have system sounds muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

No Security Lock

After my recent software upgrade on my Mac Book Pro, there isn't any security lock in the right hand corner when I go somewhere and try to pay. It is on multiple sites and haven't had the problem on my I pad. Has anyone else had this problem?
