One Delivery Type, Many Invoice Types

We have a peculiar invoicing configuration where we just use one sales order type (PCRE) and one delivery type (ECRE) and many invoice types, one for each plant, my problem its that for the last plant we must be missing a configuration since when creating a new invoice (VF01) SAP by default suggest an outdated invoice type (I am erasing it from VTFL next) but since this is also entered with the rest of the plants where we do not have problem I am wondering where can I find link between Invoice Type and delivery when the delivery type its the same for all the plants?
in other words: how does SAP knows the correct invoice type since the delivery type and sales type are the same for every plant, since only our invoices are different for each plant?
I have been looking here unsuccessfully: VTLA , VTFL, VTFA, V/54, OVL3 and others.
Thank you and Best Regards,
Carlos

where can I find link between Invoice Type and delivery
In VTFL only, you can find a link between your delivery type and billing type.  If multiple billing types are there for one delivery type, you have two options.  Either you have to key in manually in VF01 or VF04 or go for billing exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ).  Nevertheless, you should have copy control for all those billing types against that delivery type in VTFL.

  • Mapping scenario with one customer and many invoices

    Hi!
    I am receiving a flat file with one customer and n-invoice records. The file could look like this:
    133133222051241480320842420500089
    13317350071000010806372131000                 0015890009876543X
    13317350071000010806372131000                 0015890009876543X
    13317350071000010806372131013                 0015890009876443X
    13317350071000010806372131014                 0015890009872343X
    where the first line is customer and the rest are invoices.
    My question is: How can I get this into a structure like this:
    <Customer>
      <...>
    <Invoice>
      <...>
    <Invoice>
      <...>
    When using content conversion (Customer,1,Invoice,*) there has to be specified a key field, which is not a possibility. Do I have to create a UDF for this to get the mapping I want?
    Thanks for your answers!

    Thanks for your answers!
    As I can see from the Krawcyk blog, he is only using one node and maybe that's why he don't have to use keyField. We have also come to the conclusion that we have to use keyfield, but then we have to give the fields out own values. This is not good enough since the values are predefined. Creating a "placeholder" in each data type would not be a good answer because then our customers have to send an additional field in the file which would cause a lot of work.
    Do you know how this can be solved with the keyfield? Is it possible to create a keyField and give it a value that is already there, ex:
    Invoice.keyFieldValue = Invoicenumber (where Invoicenumber is a field specified in the DT) ?

  • One STO Type with multiple Delivery Types

    Hi,
    We have a requirement in our company, In the STO line item level we have Shipping Tab in that we will get the delivery type based on the configuration u201CAssign Delivery Type and Checking Ruleu201D here we assign in the combination of STO document type and supplying site and delivery type,
    Our client requirement is that can we assign multiple delivery type's for the same STO document type and supplying site, if yes on what bases we need to differentiate the same.
    This is because we need the different functionality I.e. for one type deliveries we need the packing mandatory and other type of deliveries we have not require the packing functionality.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Murali.M

    Hi,
    i don't think it's possilbe to have more then one delivery type per sto.
    Check if you have the possiblity to set up an dependent layout. E.g. if Material A is a FERT then do packing, if HALB not, etc.
    regards, Paul.

  • Using Different inbound delivery type?

    Dear experts,
    In the goods receipts process we currently are using the standard inbound delivery type "EL" with the standard item category ELN, which is not "Relevant for putaway".
    We are assessing the possibility of start using WM in one of our plants. So, I found out that the we should be using a item category (in the inbound delivery) with the field "Relevant for putaway" flagged. Like, for example, the standard WIDN (maybe together with the standard inbound delivery type WID). But only at those plants with WM!
    The issue is that as far as I know the inbound delivery type determination depends on the "Internal Confirmation Categories":
    So for the type "2 Shipping Notification" only one delivery type can be chosen, how are we suppose to do it plant dependent?
    It looks like a unique delivery type should be used in the client?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Fortian
    P.S.: I already read SAP notes 214604 & 201655 but they are not being helpful so far... Maybe I'm missing something.

    From your post I understand that the current plants are IM managed.
    So for these plants the put away relevancy will not have any effect so if you enable the put away relevancy for the EL delivery type there will be no impact on the IM plants and for the WM plant the put away will be relevant.
    Now the usage of the put away relevancy will also depend on which transaction you are using for posting a goods receipt. If you post via VL32N then you will first have to perform the put away step and then the GR posting. If you use the MIGO/MIGO_GR transaction then the goods receipt in WM will also be posted before the put away happens.

  • Multiple output records for delivery type access order sequence

    Hello,
    This is a question about output delivery type for outbound deliveries.
    I have created one delivery type YF and two output condition types YDL1  and assigned access sequence (by sales org/customer) and YDL2 (by  shipping point) in NACE V2 shipping. I have also created their corresponding condition records: salesorg/cust and shipping point in VV21.
    When I created my outbound delivery YF from sales order and saved it. System finds both output condition types. First YDL1 and then YDL2 as expected because condition records have been maintained. However, I need to change this order so that YDL2 is the default one and YDL1 is found next.
    Could somebody help me how do I change this order?
    Thank you in advanced.

    Hello,
    what do you mean with
    I need to change this order so that YDL2 is the default one
    When two or more output types are determined, they have the same "rank".
    If you mean that you want to sort the output types to have one printed before the other one, please refer to point 3. of OSS Note 960611

  • Delivery type LR cannot be invoiced with billing type RE?

    Hi,
    I am refering below flow to create an return order, but face an error when creating credit billing document:
    ret sale order(RE)-ret delivery(LR)-post goods receipt(stock will be restored in corresponding storage loc)---credit for return(RE)
    Error msg: " Delivery type LR cannot be invoiced with billing type RE;
    Check the table entries for the copying control of billing
    documents and add the missing entries as necessary.
    Make the appropriate settings in Customizing if you have
    the authorization to do so."
    So i guess i might need maintain corresponding copying control for 'delivery document to billing document'...As the source order type is LR, and target order type is RE...I checked SPRO and found there are below inputs needed.  May i know what kind of data should be inputed normally??
    "Copying requirements
    Determ.export data
    Assignment Number
    Reference number"
    Thank you very much!!

    Hi
      In standard SAP credit memo for sale returns with refrence to return order only. (RE). Thats why you are getting this error. If your requirement is to refer the delivery quantity for the credit memo then you can do any one of the following
    1. Change the copy control setting for Return order to Credit memo.
        Go to VTFA transaction and select your return order type (RE) and Credit memo type (RE) and go to item category level and select your returns item category (REN) and change the billing quantity to 'D' -Delivery quantity.
        Now create your credit note with reference to your returns sale order. (not delivery). Onlly delivered quantity will be copied to the credit memo.
    2. If you want to create return credit memo with reference to your return delivery then follow the first two guy's reply. Also you have to do one more setting at your return order document type (RE).
       Go to VOV8 and enter ur return order type and go to details then enter the return credit memo type in the delivery related billing field. (FKARV) in the billing section.

  • Output type for Proforma Invoice for return delivery from delivery type RLN

    Client require Output type Proforma Invoice for return delivery to vendor. As such return item category is not relevant for pricing so from delivery to proforma invoice can not have with p-ricing. I got quantity correct but pricing is coming Zero.
    Client have ZPAC as packing list output type from delivery which shows quantity and pricing. So decided to use the same logic to pull pricing for proforma invoice from delivery.
    Here delivery has standard output ZPAC as packing list with access sequence Z002 as Delivery Type.
    I want to pop up output type for all return delivery so using access sequence with delivery type/vendor.
    Vendor filed does not exist in delivery output type so brought that firld LIFNR.
    It is assigned to procedure and maintained ZPRO output type for Proforma invoice. Asigned VV21 on front end.
    Problem Still automatic output type ZPRO is not poping up. What type of access sequence will help me to pop up or what in configuration am I miising?
    Appreciate help for solution at earliest.

    Hi Padamsree,
    I know Pricing & output very well.  I need profomra invoice to be printed with quantity & value for return goods to the vendor. Pricing is associated with Item category RLLN for delivery type RLL which is return type delivery.
    I need to have pricing in my Proforma invoice which is copied from delivery to billing document VTFL. Just check well how it is working in the system & if you know please answer so that it should be workable on the system. As theoretical answer may not be helpful. Appreciate for your time.
    Thanks

  • Create 2 different delivery types for one sales order

    Hi,
    When sales agent is placing sales order at customer site, customer declares as well products or returned packages he would like to return. our business need is to combine all items (return products,  return packages and ordered items) into one sales order.
    However, we would like to split the sales order into 2 different delivery types. Sales order customizing dictates only one default delivery type per order.
    We can set up split criteria via copy control according to item category, but how can we intervene during creation of deliveries and set up a rule to determine different delivery type then default for return items ?
    Thanks,
    Assaf tzur

    Dear Assaf,
    Through copy control settings you can create two delivery types for single sales order but you have to select the delivery type manually while creating delivery.
    If you want automatic process then you need go for some Zdevelopment with the help of ABAPer.
    I hope this will help you,
    Regard,
    Murali.

  • Several Inbound Delivery types in one plant?

    Hi Guru´s,
    1. Is it possible to have several inbound delivery types and also to be able to use all inbound delivery types in one plant at the same time but in different process?
    E.g:
    1a. I have plant with a sloc and WM connected which I would like to have inbound delivery with picking connected to it
    1b. I have the same plant with only sloc connected and would like to have inbound delivery without picking and confirmation of the inbound delivery to be set (PGI)...
    2.Is above scenario possible to have?
    3.If please guide me on how the correct way is to have this set up because I´m stuck...
    4.If not please explain why it is not possible or....
    5.Is there anouther way of doing it due to we would like to have the same process in every warehouse...
    Thank You in advance to clear things out for me!
    BR,
    Christian

    Hello Christian,
    Yes it is possible to use delivery types based on your requirements as mentioned by you.
    You will require to customize  following things ;
    Define delivery Type
    SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Shipping>>Deliveries>>Define Delivery Types.
    You can use standard delivery type and create new customized ones by copying them.
    Define Item categories for deliveries
    SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Shipping>>Deliveries>>Define Item Categories for Deliveries
    Once item categories are defined, you have to assign the item categories to relevant document types.
    Now you have to customize for picking and packing control
    Picking control;
    SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Shipping>>Picking>>Define Relevant Item Categories
    Packing control;
    SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Shipping>>Packing

  • How to from more than one delivery note - conversion into one invoice

    Dear Experts,
    How to from more than one delivery note - conversion into one invoice?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Wilson Hong

    Dear Wilson Hong,
    Single invoice for multiple deliveries will takes place based on these criterion
    1.If you want single billing document for multiple deliveries these data should be same in all order for all items.
    -> Payer
    -> Inco term
    -> Payment term
    -> Actual GI Date from Delivery
    -> Shipping Condition
    -> Account Assignment Group
    -> Exchange rate (in case of export sale order)
    -> Foreign trade data.
    2.In addition to this you need to maintain proper copy control settings between delivery and invoice.
    Go to VTFL transaction input your delivery type and invoice type then go in to the item level settings here you find field Data VBRK/VBRP maintain this field with routine 3-Single invoice.
    If the above data and settings are exists you can do single invoice for multiple deliveries.
    I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Add delivery type to VL10C

    Hi,
    In the VL01N initial screen, we have a section called "Predefine delivery type". Under that section, you can give a delivery type which is configured but not the default one assigned to order type.
    For example delivery type "LF" is assinged to order type "OR". If you have "ZLF" delivery type available and also for some cases, if you want to determine a "ZLF" with the order type "OR", we can mention "ZLF" in the "VL01N" screen and create the delivery document. In that case the delivery document is created with delivery type "ZLF", not "LF".
    Now the requirement is, we want same functionality in the VL10C program (where we can specify the delivery type in the VL10C transacton).
    Is it possible? If so, how can I achieve that.
    Many thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Anupa

    It looks you need to copy VL10C program into a Z program and you need to add additional field for document type.
    In standard, it looks no option available.
