connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.

  • I have one itunes account, but several itouch apparatus that belong to kids, how do I keep their cloud stuff separate, or does it all go into one cloud?

I have one itunes account, but have several itouches that belong to the kids.  How do I keep the cloud's separate, or does it all go into one, because of the one acccount?

All devices under the same Apple ID will have one iCloud. If they are over 13, they can create their own Apple IDs, or you can just turn everything off under Settings > iCloud on the iPods.

You cannot and need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if the article doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
Changing the rescue email address requires supplying two of the answers. They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • My wife and I have shared one iTunes account for 6  years.  We want to create our own Apple IDs, so when we sync to our new iMac we won't see each others contacts, photos, calendar, music, etc.  Is there a way to move music/apps from one ID to a new ID?

    No.
One of you create a new AppleID and one use the existing AppleID.
But you can still use the items in each iTunes library.
Create separate computer logins for each of you.
This will give you each your own data. Contacts, calendars, photos, etc. (and your own iTunes library).

  • It shows that I have $25 on my itunes account but when I try to purchase a song it asks for my billing information.

It shows that I have $25 on my itunes account but when I try to purchase a song it asks for my billing information. I want to use the gift card not pay for it from my credit card. Help!

Get on a computer with iTunes. Click on your email in the iTunes Store, and hit account. Change billing info to None as card type, make sure billing address is correct, and hit done. It will then save, and allow you to make your purchases.

  • Can I sync 2 iPhones to one itunes account but have seperate yahoo contacts

We have 2 iPhones and want to be able to share the same itunes account which doesn't seem to be a problem. However we can't seem to have separate yahoo contacts synced with the two separate phones. It wants to keep putting my wife's contacts on my phone or vice a versa. Now our Yahoo contacts are all mucked up. Any help would be appreciated. I can't believe we can't do this.

You can sync many devices to one itunes account. I, for instance, have two ipods and an iphone on one account. They all have different setting and contents, but still only sync to one itunes account.
Yes you and your wife can use one itunes account.

  • My itunes library has organically grown from more than one itunes account but all now on a separate computer.  If I upgrade to iTunes match will I have to pay for each account?

My itunes library has organically grown from more than one itunes account (all paid for by me) but all now on a separate computer.  If I upgrade to iTunes match will I have to pay for each account or just once, for the computer?

No.  Provided the computer that you use to upload / match your Songs is authorised to play all of the Songs all works well - once complete you can download Song files that will play on your libraries / other computers without each computer having to be authorised.

  • I've got a new computer and when i plug in my ipod, the message says this ipod has a different itunes library do you want to delete it and use this new library/ you will loose all content.  I want one itunes account but can't figure out how.

i've got a new computer and when i plug in my ipod, the message says this ipod is synced with another itunes account.  do you want to erace the contents and set up with this itunes.  i want one account only but don't want to loose my ipod contents.  tried uninstalling itunes and redoing get the same message.

Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • Can I have one itunes account, but have two devices that used different email accounts?

I have an iPad2 and want to buy an iPod Touch for my daughter.  I want it to use her email address, but use my itunes account.  Can that be done?

The Apple/iTunes ID (which is a email address) is seperate from any mail accounts yu have on the iPod/iPad.  Both devices can use the same Apple/iTunes ID but have different email address for the mail accounts on the devices.

  • I have one itunes account but I use it on a windows and on a mac.  If I buy a song on one, does it go to the other?

Years ago, I bought an iPod Nano and I sync it with iTunes on my windows computer.  I have many songs on my windows iTunes account.  For work I received a MacBook Pro and an iPhone.  I sync my phone to the mac still using that same iTunes account.  There are some songs that I might want to put on both my nano and my phone.  Will I have to buy that song two times?  One for each computer?

Thank you for your help.  My follow up question would be then, is there a way to keep them separate but linked?  In other words, I don't mind continuing to sync my nano to my windows computer and syncing my phone to my mac, but I don't want to pay for the same song twice.  How do I get a song that I purchase on one platform to be on the other platform?
    Thanks again for your help.

  • I've imported a CD to my iTunes account, but how do I get those same songs onto my iPod?

I've tried to sync my accounts, but that doesn't work. Also, I know that the songs imported correctly and play because I checked my iTunes Library to make sure they did not magically disappear. I have iTunes 11.1.1 downloaded.

Also, it might be helpful to mention that anytime I make a purchase on the iTunes Store, those do get downloaded automatically to my iPod.

  • How do I take off another user off my iTunes account? It's a x family member and we share one iTunes account but I'm the main person on it.

A ex family member is under my iTunes account and I need to try to remove him but can't figure it out.

You can edit the information on your Apple account in a number of places (they all link together)
    On Apple.com - http://store.apple.com/us/account/home
On the Apple ID Website - https://appleid.apple.com
On iTunes - Choose Store > 'View Account' from the Menu Bar.
On an iOS Device - Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Tap on the 'Apple ID' > Tap 'View Apple ID'
    Good Luck!

  • Easiest way to untangle two iPhones on one iTunes account

I blame myself for this problem.
My wife and I have two iPhones. I'm into the music so I set up an iTunes account a long time ago for my multiple iPods. It's now come time to disengage my wife's iPhone from my iTunes account. I know how to set up a new iTunes account. I'll get her a separate e-mail address and create the new iTunes account. The problem is I do not want to lose all her photos, contacts, etc., from her iPhone when I go to link her phone to her iTunes account.
I'm guessing if I set up the new iTunes account and then back up her phone to the new account's iCloud file I may be able to get around most of these issues.  Is that correct? Please advise if not. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Wife and I use same iTunes account (log in for iTunes) for our stuff.
We both sync with same computer.
However, we have separate logins for the computer thus we each have our own Profiles.
While you can do it with one profile (iTunes knows difference between phones) it will become a pain if you sync contacts/calendars as you only have one set on the computer thus you may end up mixing your data there. This is why you should have different logins for your computer thus.
Using one iTunes account does make things easier though as you only need to buy an app once and sync it to both devices (can do that with two accounts as well if both are authorized together in iTunes but becomes a pain).
