One sites constantly let Firefox almost crash: this page will not start en I have to close firefox. When I restart Firefox the problem start immeediately

for example this page (http://www.klop.nl/kloppenframeset.htm?kloppen000082.htm#8267) starts the problem: Firefox doesn't resond at all. I close Firefox wih "Taakbeheer" and when I start Firefox again all the opened windows pop-up again and the problem is the same.
After about 5 minutes I can close the windows normaly.
After I opend a few windows in 'Bachground-processes' you can see that there are at least 3 Firefox-programms running

Works for me on Linux with the current release.
I see a lot of these warnings in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) about using document.write.

I don't know if that would contribute to your issue.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

Firefox was working as normal. I downloaded the Password app from Firefox and all my web pages stopped downloading properly. I deleted the app, no change. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Nothing. This happened once before & I had to take it to a computer repair store to get it fixed. That time, it was caused by a program that I had downloaded. I tried restoring my system but that did not work either.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

What can I delete and still have my all tabs when I restart firefox?

I need to have my tabs load, every time I open Firefox, but I want to do some housekeeping in my Tools>Options sections.
I've been searching and searching for hours, trying to find out what I can clear and have it not affect my tabs, but every explanation I've found has failed to answer the question in full, or fails to say anything about what (specifically) fracks with your tabs and what doesn't, or whatever. And then they'll make vague references to your "Cache" and not really say anything about what to do with it or why, while still managing to write you a whole essay of bullshit (I wrote, edited, and graded many a Psychology and Philosophy paper in school, so I usually have a high tolerance for it, but jeebus!).
If someone could please clear this up for me, that would be great. Preferably in a ''"Your Tabs will be fine if you do X, but not if you do Y, because..."'' kind of way. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as a dick, but I'm exhausted, ill, and frustrated; I swear I'm usually much nicer!

Only clearing the Browsing History via Clear Recent History when Firefox is closed will prevent tabs from opening on the next start. All other choices can be used without problems.

When in trying to make an order on a company site, after order is in place and it needs to be reviewed before it is placed, buttons on this page will not respond such as allowing a change to the shipping address.

When page came up that said "review this order and make any changes needed" before clicking on "place this order", wanted to make changes, but clicked on "change button" and it would not respond. Opened an email from a realtor and selected house to view photos. Clicked on "more photos" and it would not respond.

Also add-ons could be effecting this. See if [[Safe Mode]] helps.

I have window xp professional and this browser will not open. I have removed it and downloaded it again and still it won't open.

This probably seems very elementary, but like I indicated the issue you are describing seems so much like a memory issue.....if this isn't it, the issue you describe has me scratching my head

It worked. It was annoying that they told me to use internet explorer. The worst part is I pay them monthly. Well, as soon as my contract is up, I am done with Comcast. They still haven't figured out why my favorite stations aren't coming in. Funny thing is my roommate has Direct t.v. with no problems. At half the price. See ya Comcast. I use 10.3.9 and I have no idea why yahoo mail stopped working today. I have firefox installed on my machine. BTW - firefox is able to serf the web without issues on all of my sites. I often wonder why apple wanted to build a browser, why not just use firefox and contribute to it's development for the mac environment?

When I restart firefox (for example, in the add-ons manager or through the "Restart Firefox with Add-ons Disabled" link, it does not restart. Instead, it simply quits. The only time that it successfully restarts is when I am in safe mode.

Strange, since Google is unlikely to do that. Maybe it was an bundled installer masquerading as the official one?
To start your clean-up efforts, please check your home page setting. Do you get the 3 tabs when you press Command+n to launch a new window? Hello, since I put mountain lion on my macbook pro computer my wi fi has to be "reprogrammed" almost every time I use safari.That is, I have to go to system preferences and reselect the location, etc. now I see an additional network on my list, "wifi"

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the grey Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal.

Every time I open Firefox or open a page in a new tab, I get the error message that a script on this page is not responding or has quit working. This has only happened since I upgraded to 5.0.

Even when I start firefox I have to sit here and wait for it to tell me a script on this page is not responding or has quit working. Once that happens which takes a while, I can say stop script and it moves on. I've always liked using firefox and have never had a problem in the past, however if I can't get this particular problem fixed, and I've tried many ways to do this, I may have to change to another browser. I would hope that you could find out why this is happening to me before I make that decision. One other thing, I am using the dreaded Vista OS.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.
