Online QuickTime Presentation no longer full screen

I have an online presentation of images at http://www.royarden.com/pages/worldas+.html it works properly in WindowsXP with the latest QuickTime and used to work in QuickTime 7.
After the user clicks the "Play Movie" link they are, presented with a full screen, emersive movie. The code calls to launch the QuickTime application. Then the attributes saved in the file, open the movie file to full screen, at original size.

I would really appreciate some help returning this movie to its previous funcitionality as I wish to continue avoiding Flash.

Exit firefox and restart it.

Whenever I switch on my iPad Air, I am presented with a full screen piture of a blue sky, stars and white clouds, which I cannot get out of.  How do I do so, please?

Sorry, please ignore this question.  I have just realised that the answer is the same as the one I recieved to a previous similar one.

  • So I have to upgrade to QuickTIme Pro to get full screen capability?!?

I'm new to macs and love it. I am a little disappointed though that, unless I'm mistaken, you have to pay for QuickTIme Pro to get the full screen capability Windows Media gives for free. Is this really the case?

The Pro upgrade allows full screen playback of "local" (on your computer) files. Those you view in a browser window can't be played at full screen size until you save them (another Pro feature).
WMP opens any Web based link in its own Player window instead of the browser. Web authors (those that know) can do the same with a QuickTime file. These files can also be coded to be Presentation files that play full screen.
    http://homepage.mac.com/kkirkster/B/
Some QT files are coded to be played in iTunes which does allow full screen playback (including any local file you add to its Library).
So. You don't need QT Pro to play local files at full screen. Just add them to iTunes.
If you wish to easily save files you view online you'll need the Pro upgrade.

  • How to get Quicktime to always open full screen?

If I click a video file I want to watch it. So I have a script to get it to play straight away, but how do I get quicktime to go full screen when a video file is loaded?

Command-f after the file has opened.
Use QuickTime Player Pro to set the movie "Presentation" properties to have the file open at full screen at launch.

  • Apps no longer full screen

A number of my apps, games and a few aviation related apps, are suddenly appearing on small frames in the middle of the screen.  The is a button to magnify them but when pressed the app does not go full screen and the resolution is poor.  any idea what happened?  I can find nothing in my search about this.

You will have to purchase the app again if you want the iPad version of the apps. Since there are separate versions for each device, you cannot download the iPad version of the app for free - even though you bought the iPhone app.
I just want you to be aware of that.

  • Quicktime automatic full screen, freezes

About a week ago I started having problems with my Quicktime Player with no obvious cause. When I try to open a video in Quicktime Player, the video automatically goes to full screen and stays stuck on the opening frame. I cannot click anywhere in this screen. The only thing I've found that works is putting my computer into standby mode and starting it up again. When I do this, Quicktime player is open to normal size upon restart but if I hit play, no video shows up (although the counter at the bottom runs).
I have run antivirus and spyware software and updated my Quicktime to 7.6.4 to no benefit. When I visited the Quicktime help website, an embedded quicktime graphic had the same effect (the page loaded, then the graphic went full screen although did animate). How can I fix my Quicktime Player?

To be sure I understand you: this means that I CANNOT have quicktime automatically launch in Full Screen mode. I have to have a keyboard, and press the Ctrl-F.
Between that and not being able to have it auto close, that pretty much eliminates Quicktime from being of any value for my purposes, which is to use it in my theatre environment from my HTPC. I don't want to have to be dragging out a keyboard.

  • Non-Full Screen Presentation with Keynote?

Does anyone know if it's possible to run a Keynote presentation not in full screen mode?
I have a couple of kiosk displays that I'd like to display Keynote presentations along side some data feeds and real-time information from other apps. Do you know if you can display a presentation say in a single window? (and not the full screen?) I'm guessing not, but I figured I'd ask.
    Thaks for the help!

1, Uncheck that silly Full Screen option. It does not do what
    the name
    suggests, and never has done.
2, Use center on Screen instead
3, Authorware cannot and will not rescale to fit your users'
    screen
settings. If you want that kind of setting you should use
    something other
than Authorware. Flash or Director are good choices for that.
If you still want to resize the window, then use the function
    ResizeWindow,
but you will find that your content does not rescale, so you
    will be back to
your content sitting top-left of the screen.
Finally, you can use the old workaround of utilizing Cover
    u32 to cover the
are of the screen not used by your application. It will set
    the rest of the
desktop to black, essentially framing your application. Check
    your
Authorware CD for Cover.u32, where you will find an example
    file too.

  • Full screen record in quicktime

How do I get Quicktime to record a full screen video that is already in the full screen mode.    I "simply" want to know the sequence of how to engage Quicktime to record a full screen video if that's possible.
    thanks

    Hi APPLEAL,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you want to record the screen using QuickTime. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
QuickTime Player 10.x: Record your computer’s screen
In QuickTime Player, choose File > New Screen Recording.
Choose options for the screen recording from the arrow pop-up menu.
If you want to record the entire screen, click anywhere on the screen to start the recording.
To stop the recording, click the Stop button, or press Command-Control-Escape.
    Cheers,
    Mario

  • Quicktime in full screen

Hi i'm new to mac. owner of a imac I'd like to know how to get quicktime to play in full screen mode without buying the pro version.

Open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and run the following:
    tell application "QuickTime Player"
    set bounds of window 1 to {10, 10, 1024, 768}
    end tell
The numbers represent the location of the top left corner and bottom right corner of the window respectively.

  • Full Screen Presentation

I have just produced a project in authorware incorporating
flash animation and video clips. I made the mistake of when
creating this, of setting the presentation window size at 800 x 600

machines that it will be viewed on. The users are not able to

I have read that you can put a script in to resize the
window, but i cannot get this to work unless the script info i have
    is incorrect.
Please can anyone help me with this problem. Much
    appreciated! Nina

  • Video full screen with two displays?

I do presentations with my MB Air (currently still on Lion)
I connect the MB Air to a projector via the mini display socket.
In Sys Prefs/Displays I have MIrror switched off so that the projector screen shows an extended desktop.
One display (MB Air) is the system display with Finder menu bar.
My problem is that if I play a video (MP4 using Quicktime player) and select full screen
the video shows full screen on the system display only - the other display is black
What I would like is for the video to show full screen on the second display (projector screen) not the system display (MB Air)
I would like this so that the audience does not see my desktop and me opening files and folders
but only sees the video I am playing full screen on the projector screen.
    Is this possible?
    many thanks
    Pete

I actually just found an option under quicktime preferences to keep fullscreen when player is inactive, and that fixed my problem. Thanks anyway though!

  • Not able to view in Full Screen

I bought Quicktime Pro to get full screen support, however, none of the downloads I get from Websites show in full screen when they are sent in Quicktime format. They all show in the tiny box, just like they did with the free Quicktime. (I installed FlipforMac so I could watch WMV files, I have to use command-F key every time to get full screen for WMV files.)
This is NOT very elegant for either type of files, surely, this is not how viewing video clips should work. I come from a Microsoft background and am trying to enjoy this MAC, but it is not easy. Please help me understand how I should properly set this MAC up to view clips from the Internet.
    Thanks in advance.

Full screen playback has been part of the "free" Player since version 7.2 and there was no need to purchase Pro for that feature.
Web based file display is controlled by the page author and they can allow full screen display if they want. One of my pages as an example:
    http://homepage.mac.com/kkirkster/03war/
If the page author wants to display at 320X240 that is what QuickTime will show. You would have to find a "direct" link to the QuickTime file and open it using the "Open URL" feature (File menu) to get full screen viewing.

  • Conflict between using msn messenger in offline mode and full screen mode

I don't want to be visible in my msn messenger for the simple reason that I don't want to get chats all the time, but when I'm in off-line mode in msn messenger and I open a full screen application, immediately the messenger goes online. This happens with full screen games and while watching a youtube video in full screen. Why is this and how can I fix this?
    Andreas

Your profile indicates you are running Tiger.
Please update it or repost in Tiger forum.
    Thanks.
Since msn messenger is not an Apple product, you might also check to see if there are any forums in the MS area.
This might be a good start

  • Keeping Keynote Full Screen while Using Other Apps

    Hello,
I searched around and wasn't able to find much of anything on this topic anywhere. I am looking to do Keynote presentations in full screen. While the presentation is in full screen I would like to use other applications on the display which I can see.
I activated the preference to allow other things like Expose control the screen, but when I switch applications it takes Keynote out of full screen mode. Anybody have any ideas as to how to keep it in full screen mode while in a different application? Thanks.

Depending on how you have your displays arranged, you might be able to use Dashboard on your presenter display while the presentation is running (you may need to use this technique to get that to work properly). However, as I understand it, applications do not come with the ability to float over Keynote by default, but must be explicitly written to do so. I therefore doubt that any off-the-shelf app will be useable directly in this way.

  • How to stay in full screen mode when the movie is end

for some commercial reason, I need quicktime to stay in full screen mode when a movie playing is end.How can I config it? Thanks a lot.

You can place what i called a sprite in the video.
    http://homepage.mac.com/qt4web/sprites/items.html
Scroll down the web page a little bit and you'll find it. You place the stop sprite a few seconds before the end of the video.
Right click on or control+click on stopsprite.mov in the above web page to open the sprite in the Quicktime player.
Click on the sprite movie, 'select all' from the menu. Click on the video you want to stop. Go to about 5 second (more would better) before the end of the video. Hit the key i on the keyboard. Go to the end of the video and hit the key o (Oh). Go back up to Quicktime's menu--->Edit--->Add To Selection & Scale--->Save As and rename the video. Done....
If for some reason the video doesn't stop add more time....10 seconds before the end of the video.
