Open a transaction iView in a view

Hi all,
I have a viewset in which I would like to open a transaction iVew in one of the views.  Is it possible to open an transaction iView in a webdynrpo view? I tried using WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/...",WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,
               (String)null,
          (String) null,
          WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_HISTORY,
          (String) null,
          (String) null,
          (String) null);  )
This opens in the same window not the same view.
Thanks for help in advance.

Subu

Hi all,
I found one of the way of doing is to use a IFRAME UI. However I found some threads where they talk about object locking when we use IFRAME will definitely get back to you if I hit some issue.
Thank you all again.

  • Open Portal Transaction iView in new window *without* Browser window

    Hello,
Currently i am testing to use the single-sign-on functionality of the portal to launch the SAP GUI for Windows.
I created some Transaction iViews and they work perfectly without having to log in.
To use the full GUI size of the SAPGUI in the iView, i configured it to open up in a seperate window. This also works perfectly, but when i let a colleague test the setup, i realized that he has some additional toolbars, which in return decreased the usable space in the browser window for the SAP GUI.
    Now my question is:
How can i configure the Transaction iView to open up the given transaction in the SAP GUI, but without the surrounding Browser?
    Is this even possible?
I test this because my comany is searching for a solution to use SSO with the SAP GUI. Since we have the portal we test if we could use it to realize this requirement without generating extra costs.

    Hi Armin,
for iView (page) you probably set the property 'Launch in New Window' to value Display in Separate Window. To tune up the other otions you have the possibility to set the property Window Features, value should contain toolbar=no. These features will be used when Javascript opens up your window - you can apply any option coomonly documented. IMHO for your demands the best option is fullscreen=yes, toolbar=no - you get really the maximum possible size.

  • Transaction iView: GUI opens with an empty IE Session

    Hello Portal-Gurus,
i have a problem when i open a transaction-iView to start a TA like SMEN.
FYI: I use WinGui with shortcut (SSF), always a IE-Window (Session) is started also.
Is there a way to close this window?
Thank you very much, best regards
    Frank.

    Hello Frank,
Please look at your settings on the iview properties.  If you want to launch in a new window the setting "Launch in New Window -> Display in Separate Window" needs to be set.  Then look at the properties of the page the iview is assigned to..  Make sure the property "Launch in New Window" is set to Display in Portal Content Area.
    Hopefully this will help..

  • Transaction iView - pass web dynpro parameter

    Hi!
I created a web dynpro (ABAP) iView with a button on it. Selecting the button opens a transaction iView. (SAP GUI for Windows) I want to pass a web dynpro parameter to the SAP GUI iView and write the value of this WD parameter into a screen field at SAP GUI.
I suppose I have to use 'Application Parameters' as described at [help.sap.com|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm], but until now any attempts failed...

Hi Sandra, did you solve this? I am facing the same requirement.

  • Portal Transaction iView not opening in browser but its open in R/3 screen

    Hi
    I have 2 senario.
    First Scenario:
I login only into the portal  and  not  login into R/3.  I could access the portal transaction iview in the new broser portal window.  And this is the expected behaviour.
    second senario
I login into Portal as well as R/3 through SAP logon Pad (SAP GUI).
Now if I access  Transaction Iview through portal , this transaction Iview is opened in R/3 side window not in portal browser window .And also same time we can see only new blank portal window iopen n portal side.
My question is that whichever transaction iView we access through portal we want  to see that transaction iView in portal browser window like in first senario  not in R/3 window.
Please help me to resolve this problem

  • Transaction iView opening in a separate window in SAP NW 7.3 portal

    Hi Experts
I have created a transaction iView for LSO transaction. The iView is a SAP GUI for HTML type. When I am trying to open the iView from the portal , it opens in a separate tab instead of as a pop-up window.
The Launch in a New window property is set to Display in the portal content area.
If I try to edit the Launch in a window property and set it to Lock in target objects , it opens in the portal content area, but I want it to open in a complete new window as a pop-up.
I have attached screenshot of the expected result.
      Please suggest.
    Regards
    Shaily

Newer versions of IE default to tabbed browsing, this is not a portal issue.

  • Transactional Iviews opening in new window

    Hi All,
The transactional iviews are opening in new window.
I see that it happens only in QA but not in development.
Can anyone help me on this?
Many users are getting issue but I am not sure weather all are getting this.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Nuzhat.
Check in User profile if User Accessibility Feature  is activated or not.
Refer to Note 825464 (search for "Full Section 508 support for Transaction iViews") and Re: Transaction iView opening in a new pop-up window.

  • Transaction iView (WinGUI): "Create Session" opens blank GUI

    Hi All,
we are using a SAP Transaction iView which displays the WinGUI in the portal and directly opens a SAP transaction.
The users are used to getting a new session with an already opened navigation tree (SMEN) by clicking "System --> Create Session". However, if the WinGUI is opened in the portal via a Transaction iView, "System --> Create Session" opens a blank GUI session where the users have to manually execute "SMEN" to get to the tree.
Is there any way to get the usual "Create Session" behavior as if the WinGUI were launched outside the portal and the transaction were entered manually?
    Thanks,
    Jens

    Hi,
first of all: Apologies... I had found another thread before which described the procedure you were hinting at (manipulating the PAR file) and I even had already downloaded the file from the PCD. But the user in the thread I found described another problem (the menu entry "Create Session" was missing altogether) so I thought this wouldn't solve my problem since we weren't missing this menu entry.
But you are right: I changed the parameters, deployed the PAR and restarted the portal - the problem is solved! New sessions now automatically show SMEN.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Transaction Iview - Screen not opening porperly

    Hi All,
I have created a transaction iview, but somehow screens are not opening properly.
I am getting below screen, have i missing anything.
    Thanks In Advance,

    Hi,
It looks like the application was written to run on old IE versions (quirks mode).
Therefore the application will break when the new browser of IE or chrome/firefox render it.
To verify that, you can use an old IE version (e.g. IE7) to run this application and check it it looks o.k.
if so, the application needs to be rewritten in order to suite for new browsers (standards) or to use X-UA-Compatible to inform the IE browser that he should enulate IE7.

  • External Facing Portal with access to ITS via Transaction Iview

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to make the portal available externally for third party vendors to access ECC transactions.  We have configured a URL with a reverse proxy to the portal server.  Portal loads fine from outside the network, but when launching a transaction I-view, a page cannot be displayed error comes up in IE-8 and Chrome says it cannot access the ECC server.
I've searched the forums and come up with a couple of tips, but that brings on a couple more questions.
It seems you can direct traffic from external URL to portal server:port, but when launching an transaction I-view, it needs to be redirected again to the ECC server:port/sap/bc/gui* (or something like that for SICF GUI service).  Question here is, once this redirect happens, technically the ECC box is now available externally vs. only the portal?  Is this recommended?
Other option I've found is to try and use IAC I-views instead.  Is this really much different than a transaction i-view in how portal handles the opening Iframe?  Does it allow backend connectios without rerouting internet traffic to the backend server?
Are they any other options to make this type of setup work for external facing portals using transaction iviews to access ITS?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi
Did you able to resolve the issue. We have installed Web Dispatcher through we are able to call the EP but when calling the transaction iViews page not found error pops up, since from EP server request to ECC goes via the URL http://<ecchost.domain>.:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=100.
    Thanks

  • ECC Transaction iView Error on Browser Resize

    Hello.
I have created hundreds of SAP ECC Transaction iViews in the portal.  After doing some testing, I realized that any time a browser window is modified when an ECC transaction iView is within display, the resize causes the transaction iView to refresh.  Upon refreshing, the transaction throws error or works as if the user submitted the transaction on the backend, instead of just remaining in the same state.
For instance, if you have an SAP Transaction iView to an ECC system for tcode QM01 and it is accessible through the Detailed Navigation, this iView can be opened either in its own browser window, or within the desktop inner page.  If configured to pop-up in a new browser window and you click or drag to resize the browser window, the transaction refreshes, and throws the error: "Fill in all required entry fields."  This is the same error that is thrown in ECC when a user submits the transaction with no data.  Similarly, if you have the iView configured to open within the portal framework and you click on the transaction it opens in the desktop inner page.  If you maximize/restore down the browser window displaying the portal, the transaction refreshes within the desktop inner page and throws this same error, like it was submitted.
It happens with every ECC transaction iView that I have created, but does not happen with SRM IAC iViews, Web DynPro iViews, or SUS functionality iViews.  This leads me to believe it is a problem in ITS.  Does anyone know what is going wrong, or how to fix this?
    Thanks for any help!
    Alexa

    Hi,
Super admin has permission for end user for all the iViews. So he will be able to view the iView. As mentioned, please check if the end user permission is given for the end user to access the iView. Also check if the permission is given for that particular system. To check permissions, go to System Administration -> Permissions -> Portal permissions -> Portal Content. Check for iView and system that you have created.

  • Transaction iView for ME53N

    Hello!
    I want to call a transaction-iview for transaction ME53N from my WebDynpro-application.
The application jumps to backend, but doesn't use the iView-parameters to show a special requisition.
The iView-parameters are: MEREQ_TOPLINE-BANFN_EXT='144141'  and Prozess First Screen = YES.
With transaction ME53 it works fine.
    Ideas?
    Regards Dennis

    Hi,
In ME53 the field to enter the purchase request number was in the first screen. That's why you can pass the screen-field name & the value to display that purchase req.
But ME53N displays the last viewed purchase req. & the purchase req. number field on that page is read-only. Hence the old approach doesn't work.
In order to display a new purchase req. you would have to open the top-level menu "Purchase requisition"->"Other requisition". This would bring up a pop-up where you can enter the new number. You can't automate all that step by passing URL parameters.
    Regards,
    Satyajit.

  • Opening SAP Transactions in a Maximised New Window

    Hi,
I have an SAP Transaction iview that should open an SAP WinGui Transaction in a maximized new window.
I have set the following properties
    Launch In =1
    Height Type = FULL_PAGE
Height of External Window = -1
Width of External Window = -1
The new window is opened and the correct transaction is run, but the window is not maximised, and changinging the values of the properties of Width/Height of External Window has no effect.
The portal version is EP6.0 SP2 Patch 4 Hotfix 7
    Thanks Hugh

    Hi Nalla,
I suggest you the below points to achieve your requirement
Create a view V_FPM_APP and insert an iFrame ui element
Create an attribute FPM_URL as string and bind it to the source of iFrame ui element
Create a window, W_FPM_APP and embed the view V_FPM_APP
Now, you can use method CREATE_WINDOW of interface IF_WD_WINDOW_MANAGER to open the FPM application and pass parameter MODEL = ABAP_TRUE
You can register the onClose action of popup window to your own action on view as below
data lo_view_ctrl type ref to if_wd_view_controller.
              lo_view_ctrl ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
              lo_window->set_on_close_action(
                   exporting
                        view = lo_view_ctrl
                        action_name = 'ON_CLOSE'
Create an action ON_CLOSE in view from where the popup window is called
Now, you get the control when user closes the popup window, so, you can refresh the main view
Also other way, you can use the concept component usages to achieve your requirement
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Rama

Is it required to add  ECC certificate to Portal sytem?
we have created the same user id in both the sytems.
Please let me know what could be the error.
    Regards

    Vijay,
Please follow these steps and lemme know what you observe.
Go to system administration->support->sap application-> under test and configuration tools choose sap transaction
under the mandatory fields choose the system that you have created, choose a tcode (se16) and choose sap gui for windows and click go.
If you are able to logon to your ecc system, your sso works!
P.S Make sure the user name with which you are testing this, exists in the backend as well.
    Good luck
    Cheers,
    Sandeep Tudumu
