Open Hub: How-to doc "How to Extract data with Open Hub to a Logical File"

Hi all,
We are using open hub to download transaction files from infocubes to application server, and would like to have filename which is dynamic based period and year, i.e. period and year of the transaction data to be downloaded.
I understand we could use logical file for this purpose. However we are not sure how to have the period and year to be dynamically derived in filename.
I have read in sdn a number of posted messages on a similar topic and many have suggested a 'How-to' paper titled "How to Extract data with Open Hub to a Logical Filename". However i could not seem to be able to get document from the link given.
Just wonder if anyone has the correct or latest link to the document, or would appreciate if you could share the document with all in sdn if you have a copy.

After creating open hub press F1 in Application server file name text box from the help window there u Click on Maintain 'Client independent file names and file paths' then u will be taken to the Implementation guide screen > click on Cross client maintanance of file name > create a logical file path by clicking on new entiries > after creating logical file path now go to Logical file name definition there give your Logical file , name , physical file (ur file name followed by month or year what ever is applicable (press f1 for more info)) , data format (ASC) , application area (BW) and logical path (choose from F4 selection which u have created first), now goto Assignment of physical path to logical path > give syntax group >physical path is the path u gave at logical file name definition.
however we have created a logical path file name to identify the file by sys date but ur requirement seems to be of dynamic date of tranaction data...may u can achieve this by creating a variable. U can see the help from F1 that would be of much help to u. All the above steps i have explained will help u create a dynamic logical file.

How to Manually Create Wi-Fi Profiles with Open Authentication & WEP Encryption

I clicked Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center> Set up a new connection or network > Manually connect to a wireless network, but I wasn't able to select WEP for Encryption type when I selected
Open System for Security type. Why not? I hear Open authentication & WEP encryption is more secure than WEP authentication & encryption. Doesn't Windows support Open authentication & WEP encryption?
I tried it on several computers: Win8.1/8/7, hp/DELL/ASUS/acer, but on neither of them was I able to select Open authentication and WEP encryption at the same time. Wi-Fi is enabled, and every user account that I tried it from is admnistrator
one.
I can manually create Wi-Fi profiles with WEP authentication and WEP encryption. What I wanted to create is, however, those with Open authentication and WEP encryption.
I'll appreciate your help.

Acctually speaking, Both type of WEP encryption is not secure. I'm agree with SenneVl's opinion, it would be better to use WPA encryption. You can refer to the contents of the link belwo for more details:

Got an error when extracting data with extractor 2lis_04_matnr.
System says (short dump):

The current ABAP program "SAPLMCEX" had to be terminated because one of the statements could not be executed. This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program. When attempting to import data, it was discovered that the data type of the stored data was not the same as that specified in the program.
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR', was neither caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure "MCEX_BW_LO_API" "(FUNCTION)".
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is: When importing the object "MC04P_0MAT_TAB", the component no. 5 in the dataset has a different type from the corresponding component of the target object in the program "SAPLMCEX". The data type is "D" in the dataset, but "C" in the program.

So you need to delete entries in SM13/LBWQ for application and also detup table content.
And then refill teh set up table.
If you are in production clear the entries by running collective run no of times for this application 04.

 I m bit confused here with the line below
 IF i_initflag = sbiwa_c_flag_on.(if we pass 'X' then it will enter loop and checks for F or D and then assigns values to I_T_SELECT and I_T_Fields structure)
 accordfing to my code i feel it will work for any one not both(F or D).
one more doubt rsax_biw_get_data extraction method is F2 few of them are asking to change to F1.
so tried running a code then in RSO2 extact structure and FM both dissapeared i did not get why it happened ?

Change of sign while extracting data using Open hub

Hello All,
We are extracting data from Info cube to a file in the application server using Open hub.
While extracting data, if there is any negative value for the key figure, negative sign is appending on the right side of the value(Eg: "123.67-"), which is the standard behaviour but I want the sign to be on the left side of the value (Eg: "-123.67") while extracting to the file at application server.
Could any one please let me know if there is any setting to do this change ?

Hi,
Changing the SIGN position from one side of the NUMBER to the other side can happen in following ways.
1) After the file is place in the application server. Deploy a OS SCRIPT file (for .csv) for obtaining the required changes to the required COLUMN [Basis team will have more idea on this]
2)This is time consuming idea. well deploy a routine at the Open hub -Infospoke level.

How to get the exact day date with the another date field?

Hi,
Please help me how to get the specific day of the week's date with the help of another date field.
Actually , one field(week_day) has 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 here 1--MON,2-- TUE like that.
another field has the date. based on that date, we have to go to that particular week and need to pick up the date by the above week_day. It should be in that week itself.

this newgsroup and the Web for examples of how to use a SOAPArray in a Web service
EJB to receive parameters and return results but found none.
Will someone refer me to an example or give an overview of how a Java Web service
EJB running in WebLogic 6.1 would use SOAPArray to get parameter values and return
results?
Also, I would like confirmation that it is best to use SOAPArray to exchange data
with a Web service to achieve the goal of a service accessible by any language.

client for your web service has to be written in Java. The WSDL that I sent contains
everything that a .NET-based (or Perl-based, or Python-based, or VB-based, or
C++ based) Web Service Stack needs to correctly create all the data types in the
web services' signature! That's the beauty of XML Schema! It's programming language
independent :-)

GlTransactionsCpyType is the outer-most Java Bean. WLS 6.1 does not generate

Conclusion:
You asked for someone to provide you with an example of how to use SOAP array
in a WSDL, which is what the attached file contained :-) What you want to do now
is find a tool that can generate Java Bean code from this WSDL (Apache Axis has
a wsdl2java tool that should work), or create the Java Beans yourself. Afterwards,
create a WLS 6.1 Web Service a expose it for a Perl or .NET client.

3FI_SL_C1_TT - Procedure of extracting data with delta

Dear experts,
I try to load FI-SL data with delta.
We use extractor 3FI_SL_C1_TT and have implemented the start routine from note 577644 to create 0balance within the transformation.
Delta is only available for actuals so we select data only for valuetype 10 as recommended.
I read that I have to do a full update of the closed periods.
To load the carryforward from 2014 I have to select 000.2015 and load it with a full load.
Till now every thing is clear.
But what are the next steps?
What do I have to select within the infopackage for the init load of the open periods (current year)?
After executing the init load: how do I have to define the delta load?

Hi Leszek,
we use cube for each year.
So when the periods of the previous year (2014) is not closed, too, I have to work with them
the same as with cube for current year and do at first an init for the whole year and after that a Delta for whole year.
For current year cube I try do init/Delta with 001.2015 - 016.9999. But what do I do with the carryforward -
I can´t do only once a full, case with every new data record for 2014 it will Change.
What is the best practise with carryforward in this case?

Extracting data with zero values for periods without data

Hello Together,
i extracted data from our hfm application from period 1 to 3.
Now i found that some rows begin with period 2 or 3 because there are no data in period 1 or 2.
So my question is, how i can get zero values for periods with no data.
Hope someone can help me.

For the periods with no data, HFM does not have a "0" to offer for the data extraction. Since the default data extract from HFM has each period on it's own row in the *.dat file, I don't understand your comment about rows starting with period 2 or 3. In the *.dat file the row for period 1 simply won't exist. Are you using a custom approach/tool for data extraction?
The only time HFM will offer a "0" where there is indeed no data, is if you extract derived data. You must include calculated data, and even then I believe HFM will only extract a "0" for the first period after a period where there was data, and only for flow accounts (Revenue/Expense). so if you have "100" in period 1, and no data in period 2, such that the derived value YTD for period 2 is "0", then you must include calculated values in the extract and you should see "0" for period 2. However, I don't believe HFM will extract "0" for period 3 - instead it will be blank/missing.
In general it could be very dangerous to force HFM to give zeros where there is no data.

Is it possible and can I do that (if you've got code it would be nice)

I am not sure whether it is possible but if ever, it must be with a Microsoft COM object. i.e. you have to write a COM-Wrapper java class to access the content of a word file.
The best way i can consider is to use the OLD Visual J++, which was deprecated after .NET and C# were introduced.
It may still function, if your project is nothing commercial.
