Open source SFTP Client

Hi,
Im looking for an open source SFTP Client.
Ive downloaded commons-net-ftp-2.0.0.jar from http://people.apache.org/~rwinston/commons-net-2.0/.
It is very useful and has support for FTP and FTPS protocols but I need to have support for SFTP protocol too.
So any update in this regard is highly helpful to me and the same is highly appreciated.
Im looking NOT for any graphical or command line, kind of implementation.
Im expecting a jar like commons-net-ftp-2.0.0.jar which I can as use as part of (server side) java applications.

  • I Need Information about  Open Source Java Client/Server Instant Messaging

I need your valuable help and collaboration with the following issue:
I need to know where can find a robust Open Source Java Instant Messaging Client/Server Application.
I thank in advance for their valuable time. And for the attention and the collaboration lent to me.

I was going to mention that right off, but since the OP is clearly unaware of the search engines on the Web, I thought I'd give him a hand. Jabber works pretty good - I tried it a while back and some of the clients were ... quirky.

    hello,
for the last 4 weeks I struggling to know how to make my mjUA working for voice communication. Thanks God, I found your message that sent last year.
Now I use a free VoIP registrar server (just like free world dialup), but my mjUA can't make any call through that server although my mjUA can register to that server successfully.
    my question is:
    - is mjUA can be run using free registrar server? or I must use the MJSIP server?
    - for the audio tools, I use the JMF (not RAT) without any change on mjUA. Is that right choice?
    - can you send me the really working configuration file (such as a.cfg on config folder)?
I'm so desperate because this UA's is the key for my final project. And I hope you can help me.

  • Can I connect open source evolution mail client to an OCS Mail Server?

    Hi.
I'm trying to configure an evolution mail client to connect to OCS Mail Server. The idea would be to evaluate this solution over costly MS Outlook. I'm aware that Oracle provides a connector for outlook client and that this facility might offer certain functionality not available with other mail clients. So far, i can connect, send and receive mails. However i can't access the distribution list in Oracle Mail Server, or put in other words, i can't access the OID. Evolution offers the option to connect to an ldap server, but i've not been able to connect. The guys as Metalink tell me that if this client can connect to an ldap server one could accessed the distribution list in OID.
    So :
    - Has anyone out there tried to connect this mail client or any other open source mail client to OCS Mail Server?.
    - Can evolution client really connect to an ldap server? one like OID?.
    Thanks in advance ...!

    Hello Luis!
I have in the past used different mail clients to connect to the OCS. So as a fact as long as they speak POP3 or IMAP you should be capable of reading your mails.
However I did not try to use the distribution lists.
What exactly is not working with the connection to the OID (LDAP) from the Evolution client?
Did you try to set the logging in the OID to a higher value? This helped me lots of times when dealing with OID problems.

I'm using my MacBook Pro with a 500GB Time Capsule. I use an open source client to share large files with teammates of mine because it is a lot faster than email. Problem is, whenever I use the TC, it cannot connect. If I have ethernet to MBP, it works just fine. Is this a firewall setting, or something else? Any ideas as to what I can do to access the client while using the TC? I'm very much a newcomer to the realm of Apple products.

just leave the TC on it is designed for that.

  • Look for SFTP client for Solaris 10x86

We need an SFTP client which supports logins with and without passwords for sending files to remote SFTP sites.
Up until now, we have been using a combination of Perl, Expect and sftp command but need a better solution.
Have been unable to install into Perl the SFTP modules (Lots of problems with SSHA packates) to use it directly without Expect.
I see a few (very few) commercial packages like one from tectia.com but am looking for perhaps an open source solution.

You should be able to use the scp command (which is a part of ssh client on solaris, linux or cygwin/windows) in conjunction with the key based authentication
For example, if you want a scheduled job as user1 on machine1 to be able to upload a file to a directory owned by user2 on machine2:
On machine1, run ssh-keygen as user1 to create the RSA key pair (do not enter as password .)
On machine2, as user2, cd .ssh, add user1's public key to the authorized_keys file.
    e.g.
    ssh-rsa dWU+bihN7kYFYoQ5ycNiIl2urtzdS5GNcCtMSz
    Nykgylo4ccfoAhJhAOVS3htN6hTXk45O9xrpLFrC7BzAq
    aQiuuKTgxT0mOVmzFjTozwQIQmy9EUt= user1@machine1
    Also, update /etc/ssh/sshd_config with
    RSAAuthentication yes
you will need to ssh from user1 to machine2 and as user2 to machine1 to make sure the known_hosts file for each user gets updated

XINS 2.1 Web Services Framework has been released.
XINS is an open source Web Services Framework based on simple specifications of the Web Service in XML and
generation of code and documentation from the specification.
The generation includes Client JAR with its Javadoc, Server side template with its Javadoc, documentation in OpenDocument Format,
documentation in HTML including the test forms, WSDL file, unit tests (JUnit) and stubs.
The Web Services accept several protocols including REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, XML, JSON Yahoo! and JSON-RPC.
    What's new:
    * Start the API with java -jar <api name>.war
    * Improved generated specification in OpenDocument Format
    * Include/exclude calling convention with ACLs
    * New calling convention that maps SOAP request and response as the wsdl2api command mapping.
    * Smaller generated build.xml
    * Added possibility to include other runtime properties files
    * The runtime property location can be a URL
    * Swing Graphical User Interface
    * New tools: emma, glean, webstart
    * New target: javadoc-test-<api name>, javadoc-apis
    * Bug fixes and small RFEs

I recommend you implement your web service with JAX-WS 2.0
Axis (both version) are good but why do you want to use something that is not included in JEE API, when Java provide same thing with better performance.
personally try to prevent non standard technologies despite they can be better than core java implementation sometimes.
    I don't know Xfire.
    the good:
-JAX-WS performance is better than axis,
    - you can create your web service simply with annotation.(this means write class and then make it as a service easily)
    - support every kind of service invocation(callback,Asynchronous,...)
    - architecture is nice (you can operate on SOAP level)
    the Bad:
    - It is JEE 5 or JSE 6 dependent.
    - there is seriously lack of documentation and examples for it, on java web sites and internet.

  • Open Source project

    Open Source Project Announcement...
I have started an open source project to build a module for
PHP4 that will allow direct calls to Tuxedo services from
the PHP script, the project name is php-tuxedo.
Think about it for a second... The ability from inside a
PHP web page to directly call already existing Tuxedo
services anywhere in your environment. Just like PHP can
open a database connection to Oracle or Sybase, it would
open a Tuxedo connection as a Tux client to a Tuxedo
    middleware environment.
For those who have used PHP, you know how easy it is to
build dynamic web pages. But those pages are mostly limited
to database queries or flat file access for data. With this
project you could call all your existing enterprise Tuxedo
services directly. I believe this would be a very powerful
    enhancement to PHP's capabilities.
To those familiar with Tuxedo, you know about how powerful
an implementation of Tux middleware services can be for
    departmental and enterprise solutions.
I want to bring these two pieces together.
Project status. The project is in its early infancy, but
some parts are functional. I have successfully built a
client page that uses a STRING buffer to call a service with
tpcall and returns a STRING buffer back. Primitive? Sure,
but this is only the start. I have ideas of how to
implement many other functions and buffer types including
    FMLs.
There is much work to do, but if you are interested please
check out http://php-tuxedo.sourceforge.net. There you can
download my first cut and more importantly follow the
project as it progresses. For the really ambitious I would
welcome any testing or development help on the project.
Please note I’m posting this note to several lists I don’t
normally monitor, so I may not see a reply on the list.

Always glad to have people thinking about the poor DBA's. Usually, the developers get most of the attention in open source.

  • A verb conjugator in C (was: Ideas for an open source project in C)

    Hi,
I have to write a relatively complex program in C for my university programming course. We can either use a given topic (a hotel management software - quite some work, but not very challenging) or something of our own choice provided it is not too simple.
Being a good open source citizen, I want to do something from which other people might profit.
My first thought was a xmms2 client after an idea I had for a long time, but that's no fun without objects, particularly because xmms2 uses boost as well. I'm not sadistic enough to do this. (I like object orientated programming...:()
We can use external libraries (e.g. ncurses, GTK2), but should use ansi C (that's C89) and it should run on Windows as well, but I might talk my way out of these two things if necessary.
I'll do a lot of brainstorming myself, but I would appreciate it a lot if you could give me ideas. It would be a pity to waste this opportunity with a useless hotel management software if I could create something usefull instead.
Thanks a lot for any ideas.
    kind regards

I'm still not very familiar with the Italian conjugation, but judging from Spanish it's a pretty simple thing to do, at least when you only think about outputting all the conjugated forms for an infinitive. I'll make an example with Spanish, but it's almost the same for Italian:
    procedure:
Step 1: Check for suffix -ar/-er/-ir and the root of the verb and apply the default rules as defined in the data file. (i.e. suffixes -o,-as,-a,-amos,-áis,-an for -ar and present and so on)
Step 2: Check the data file for an entry for this verb and replace any irregular forms. (This means replacing all forms for a irregular verb or maybe only the participle - imho the most efficient way while still KISS)
    Example: comer
Step 1: suffix -er, root com; use rules in data file for -er
Step 2: verb is not in database, regular
    Example: escribir
Step 1: suffix -ir, root escrib; use rules for -ir
Step 2: verb is in database, only exception to regular conjugation is the particible "escrito"
    Example: ir
Step 1: suffix -ir, no root; apply rules for -er (Doesn't make sense, but it is irregular anyway)
Step 2: verb is in database, about everything is replaced
Recognizing the forms, i.e. doing a reverse search is a bit harder this way, but actually really interesting.
ibendiben: I like the idea, but I wouldn't realize this in C, but a follow-up project written in PHP is very well possible. I'll have the data files and algorithms already, so it's not too much work.
But I wanted to do some work on the aMule skin code as well or we might actually release 2.2.0 before I'm finished...
    Edit: I think I'll use a webfrontend (I'll worry about windows later...): http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/syste … -nweb.html
