Open Transactions in External Statement

In SAPB1 8.8 SP00 PL10, when I go to Banking->Bank Statements and External Reconciliations->Reconciliation and then choose "Manual", there is a window labeled "Open Transactions in External Statement".  How do you input data into this window?  BSP is not supported in the USA, so I don't think I can install that module.  I don't have the option to install BSP under Administration->System Initialization->Company Details->Basic Initialization.  Is there any other way to import external bank transactions into SAP?  Thanks.

There is an add on available from a company called Enprise that we use in NZ for importing bank statements.
Another option is to key the data into the OBNK table under the Process External Bank Statement form (this is usually hidden)

  • Delete unreconciled rows from external statement

    Hi There,
    I am struggling with the recon engine in SBO 2005 SP01 PL22. I have created some lines in the 'process external statement' window and have reconciled some of them. Then I realized that i have duplicated a few line. But now, when I want to 'delete row' against a line that has NOT been reconciled I receive the following message;
'Reconciled rows found on the page. Delete reconciled rows before adding/removing.'
I have reconciled quite a few lines already and was hoping there is a way to remove the unreconciled lines without redoing all the work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Wynand Cilliers.
PS. I also have a screenshot but do not know how to attach.

    Dear ,
The system by definition does not allow deleting the rows before the
last reconciliation in the Process External Bank Reconciliation window.
The Process External Bank Reconciliation only allows deletions AFTER the
last record that has a reconciled number. If try to delete anything
above the last reconciliation in the line you will get the message.
For more information about it please refer to note:791192
hope this can be helpful to some extend.
I also paste the information in note  791192 as below:
    Symptom
Reassign payment entered and created to wrong incoming payment
    Other terms
    Reason and Prerequisites
Two A/R Invoices of different customers with the same amount. Incoming
Payment misdirected to A/R Invoice (and customer) via Process External
Bank Statement and Payment created by ticking check box "Create Payment"
Payment was also reconciled (External) with created payment.
    Solution
    1.  In Banking - Incoming Payments - Incoming Payments find the "wrong"
payment created by Process External Bank Statement and Cancel it
        (Menu bar: Data - Cancel).
    2.  In Banking - Bank Statements and Reconciliations - Reconciliation
set Business Partner choose "Internal" Reconciliation Type and
reconcile Incoming Payment with his Reverse Entry (both on Open
        Transactions on Credit Side).
    3.  In Banking - Bank Statements and Reconciliations - Manage Previous
Reconciliatons choose "External" Reconciliation Type For G/L Account
and Cancel Reconciliation of entered and corresponding created
payment. After choosing required account in Banking - Bank Statements
and Reconciliations - Process External Bank Statement can be
observed, that asterisk from "Reconciled" field disappeared, but
data in fields "Create Payment", "Doc. No.", "BP Code", "BP Name"
and following are unchanged and greyed.
Now they are two ways to follow:
         A)
          a) In Banking - Incoming Payments - Incoming Payments create
manually incoming payment of new Business Partner and Invoice.
          b) In Banking - Bank Statements and Reconciliations - Reconciliation
set Business Partner choose "External" Reconciliation Type and
reconcile Incoming Payment with entered (in point 3 unreconciled)
             payment.
Note that data in fields "Create Payment", "Doc. No.", "BP Code", "BP
Name" following in Process External Bank Statement grid remain
      incorrect.
         B)
          c) Delete (Menu bar: Data - Remove or Delete Row) row which contains
             misdirected payment.
          d) Add new row containing correct data (new BP code and Doc. No.)
and create Payment by ticking check box "Create Payment".
          e) In Banking - Bank Statements and Reconciliations - Reconciliation
set Business Partner choose "External" Reconciliation Type and
reconcile newly created Incoming Payment with corresponding
             entered payment.
Note that deleting and adding row in Process External Bank Statement
grid allowed if actual row is followed by not reconciled entered payment
(without asterisk in "Reconciled" field). If necessary, you can cancel
      these reconciliations provisionally.
Wish the information above is useful for you .

  • Open PDF in external window within browser?

My company's line of business app (we're an insurance agency) depends on the browser plugin to display PDF's that are attached to customer accounts.  Unfortunately, the app displays the PDF in a small window that cannot be resized and requests to the software vendor to find another way to handle PDF's have been virtually ignored.  To get around this, we've been disabling "Display PDF in browser" to force PDF's to open in the full Reader program.  As luck would have it, at least one agency we do business with requires the browser plugin, otherwise it assumes we have no PDF program and asks the user to download Adobe Reader.  So we have people constantly going back & forth, disabling and enabling the browser plugin.  I looked at the SDK and there's a sample plugin to open a PDF in an external window.  I loaded it up in Visual Studio and built the project, but it appears to not be working (maybe it's strictly for Acrobat).  It would be awesome if there could be a button on the toolbar to open the PDF externally when you open it in a browser.  Any ideas we can try?  This image gives you an idea of what my end users are looking at.

This offer Adobe doc http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/PDFOpenParameters.pdf States that you can use '&'  instead of the '#'.

  • Open transaction after getbykey

Hi, I have just aplied path 18 in SBO 2005 A, and now I execute this code:
    MsgBox(SBO_Company.InTransaction())
    oi = TryCast(SBO_Company.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oInvoices), SAPbobsCOM.Documents)
    oi.GetByKey(-1)
    MsgBox(SBO_Company.InTransaction())
The first msgbox show me "FALSE" but the second "TRUE", is this behaivor normal??. Before the patch it doesn´t open the transaction.
    Thanks.

Well, I am not sure whether it is normal to use GetByKey with -1 as a parameter... (why do you do that???)
ASFAIK the internal keys are always incremented - starting from 1...
I suspect that you might put the DI into an undefined state - what certainly should be prevented by throwing an exception...
...but obviously there shouldn't be an open transaction when you used GetByKey...
Is it just the property that's wrong now - or does really a transaction get opened?
    Thx.

  • How can i open a PDF bank statement in numbers so that the rows and columns contain properly aligned data from statement?

how can i open a PDF bank statement in "numbers" so that the rows and columns contain properly aligned data from statement?

Numbers can store pdfs pages or clippings but does not directly open pdf files.  To get the bank statement into Numbers as a table I would open the bank statment in Preview (or Skim) or some pdf viewer.
Then hold the option key while selecting a column of data.
    Then copy
Then switch to numbers and paste the column into a table
Then repeat for the other columns in the pdf document
It would be easier (in my opinion) to download the QFX or CSV version from your bank

  • Migrating open transactions to a new CoA

    Hi
I have a new CoA migration. But can by any chance the complete AR transactions be migrated.
Putting it briefly, can i migrate closed and open transactions as well as applied and unapplied receipts of the previous CoA
    Regards
    Sthita
    Edited by: user601634 on Feb 25, 2009 5:02 AM

    Hello.
I think you can find all the information you need in the AR_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL table. So, for the new CoA you can get the amounts like this:
    Receivable-> AMOUNT_DUE_REMAINING
    Revenue->AMOUNT_LINE_ITEMS_REMAINING
    Tax ->TAX_REMAINING
This way you just have to worry with the transaction itself and forget about the receipt.

  • Open Transactions in ECC for Master Data changes in MDM

    Hi All,
I have a basic Design question on how to handle the impact of Data changes in MDM for any open transactions with that Master object. For eg if we have a Material set up in MDM and in ECC and there are open Purchase Orders for that Material, now if the Base Unit of Measure is changed in MDM and gets harmonized to ECC(After Workflow approval of the Change) how will it impact the PO attached to the material . Can we do any configuration in ECC that will restrict any Open PO s not to take the new changed value and any new POs taking up the new Base Unit of Measure , or can we set up an alert/notification that will trigger for a PO whenever any Master Data is changed and the PO takes the new changed value on the fly . What will be the best approach from a solution point of view .
    Thanks ,
    Prabuddha

    Hi Prabuddha,
In ECC if a change happens to a master data not all the changes are reflected automatically in the open documents like open PO or open Sales order. Some fields values have to be redetermined for eg: "pricing procedure", some of them needs to be changed manually for eg: "Description". Moreover specific to your eg of Base unit of measure, this is a sensitive field and has lot of impact on the process so there for changing such fields it is necessary to close all the open documents against the Master data record in consideration. This fact is regardless whether the change happens through an IDoc or directly by MM02/XK02/XD02
Prabudha, Please revert if you have further questions.

  • Adobe CS5 programs have trouble opening folders on external hard drives under 10.10.2

Just upgraded 2 mac's to 10.10.2. One is a late 2013 Mac Pro, the other is a lot-of-the line, BTO iMac 5K. (Processors and Ram are not an issue)
Both InDesign and Illustrator (CS5) are having difficulty opening folders on external hard drives. Mac Pro is connected to a 5GB LaCie d2 via thunderbolt cable, while the 5K is connected to a 2TB WD my book studio for Mac via FW800 with an apple branded Thunderbolt adapter. Both are formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Using the File>open command then drilling down to the selected folder on the Hard Disk drive, the finder sits blank with the spinning beach ball going.
Other local folders open up quickly and populate file lists with no problems.
Some folders on the external drive can be accessed through the File>open finder dialogue however they are folders that contain fewer sub-folders and files.
    Update while typing this...
Both Folders that were giving us problems contained a shortcut. Hiding that shortcut inside anouther local folder seems to have cleared up the trick. This is a short term work around and I am wondering if Apple is aware of this issue or if others have found the same problem as I have and if this work around fixes their issues?

How long have you been running 10.9?
In my case the external drives go to sleep and have to wake up. Not much to do with Mavericks, just hardware sleeping to save energy. Note that 10.9 is much more energy aware and may put things to sleep more often.  That may be a fair trade off

  • Adobe Bridge crashes when i open a Lacie external hard rive. Started when i uploaded Yosemite?

Adobe Bridge crashes when i open a Lacie external hard rive. Started when i uploaded Yosemite?

Finder crashes occur both on my MacBook Pro (4,1) and MacBook Air (2,1). There is very little in common between the hardware of the two systems except the Santa Rosa processor. One has HDD and the other SSD. One has 6GB in DDR2 memory in two dimms and one 2GB DDR3 soldered. One has an 8600M and one a 9400. One starts a bunch of apps at login and one starts nothing. And so on. Since it happens on different kinds of systems, it's definitely not a hardware problem with certain specific hardware. And I'm pretty sure I saw a report from someone with a MacPro.
I've looked at a lot of finder crash logs. A number of them seem to happen when something (memory or an object) is being freed and an error occurs. This causes an abort and the finder is killed and restarts. Not exactly a "crash". More like controlled flight into the ground. The other cases are probably not catching the error and getting seg faults, so those actually are crashes. Unfortunately, the place this happens seems to be different every time but usually related to finder or AppKit.
I suspect a memory corruption bug somewhere. I've pushed my system by opening and closing
folders, scrolling up and down, and opening and closing subfolders, and once the problem happens, it is usually reproducible for a few minutes (or a few repeats of the action that caused the crash).
Then it will often "magically" start working or a slight variation of behavior, e.g., opening a folder directly vs. using a finder window sidebar alias (or vice-versa) will work.

  • ITunes opens and within seconds states it has to close. I've uninstalled

iTunes will open, but within seconds states it 'Has to close'. Occasionally, I'll see a notice for an update and quickly click to 'Download update?', but when I click on 'Download', a new page opens with 'Thanx for updating', except it hasn't downloaded the update. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times, but that hasn't helped. My phone is a 5S and it won't sync to iTunes either.
    I appreciate any suggestions. Thanx.

Try working through TS1717: iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues to start with.
Otherwise, for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • How to COMMIT all open transactions?

    Hi,
    I have 10.2.0.4 on Windows.
I need to run a critical month-end DataPump export of 1 schema. Easy enough. The system will be in-use by the end users when this runs. Not many maybe 10 users will be connected and it is not a very large db - 10 GB.
My concern is that there may be a few uncommitted transactions hanging around that may not be written to the dump file. If I run COMMIT; that only commits for my session, right? How can I force all open transactions for all users to be committed just before I run the DP export?
-OR- is DataPump so sophisticated that it will auto. commit them first?
    Thanks for your ideas. John

    user629010 wrote:
    Thanks, Justin.
This is a 24 hour system so I don't want to interrupt the users unless there is no other option.
Yes the RMAN backups are complete but I just need the export for purposes of refreshing my reporting database at each month-end. So I will use impdp to do the import. This is the way we have been doing it for awhile.
We only recently became aware of some out-of-balance issues (money) and we thought uncommitted transactions may be partly responsible.
I know the application code controls when the commit takes place but, in general, is this something you would be concerned with?
Another question if I may: how can I see how many open transactions there are at a given time?
Thanks, JohnIf you think about what constitutes a "transaction" (and financial balances are the textbook example of such) then you realize that it is absolutely the responsibility of the transaction to decide when to commit. An outside process (like an evil DBA) can safely force a rollback of an incomplete transaction (say, by killing the session), but to force a COMMIT? Suppose the session had only updated 2 of 4 tables that needed to be updated to consitute a complete transaction and guarantee your account balances? How do you suppose your "force" will know what the other two table updates are?
Maybe you could explain in more detail how you intend to use this export, particularly in relation to where it was you found the out of balance issues..

  • Will not open leopard on external hard drive

I am running Lion on an iMac 27" 4 core and I am trying to open on an external hard drive loaded with Sow leopard but the screen shows the apple icon and just sits there with no loading spinner. I also have a 13" macbook pro and have no trouble in opening the same external disk with snow leopard. The imac also does not like opening from the dvd.

If by opening you really mean booting, then most likely it can't handle the differences between the iMac and the MBP. There are differences with machine-specific builds. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2681 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2186 for details.
