OpenDocument without credentials

Hi Experts,
I searched the forum regarding open document.
But My requirement is to open the report in "open document" it should redirect with HTML hyper link, but user should not enter user name and password,
it should directly redirect the reports.
Kindly explain with screen shots plz.
Thanks in advance

how does the relative path work
we have two BI launch pad url like
http;//xyz:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp ?iDocID=Aa6GrrM79cRAmaOSMGoadKI
and second one is
http://123.45.67.1:80808/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp ?iDocID=Aa6GrrM79cRAmaOSMGoadKI
supose the user uses a 1st url to access the bi launch pad i.e
http;//xyz:8080/BOE/BI
then our document link sould be starting for http;//xyz:8080/BOE/.......
if we use both the link same then the user name and password of user will be taken from the current cach or a current running session of the same site.
if we use mismatch url
for eg
user is accessing the BI launch pad via
http://123.45.67.1:80808/BOE
and you had given the document link as
http;//xyz:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp ?iDocID=Aa6GrrM79cRAmaOSMGoadKI
then the server does not find any session or any password and user name for this site so it ask for the user name and password
if we use a relative path then it will automaticaly thake the starting url from the local system session and we dont want to enter the user name and password

    Hi,
We are trying to schedule a backup from OEM to one of the target database.
To do this OEM requires host credentials. Is there anyway that we can do this without providing any host credentials? (because we dont have server username password)
We dont have host username password, what we have is sudo access to the user.
    Thanks,

You have not given your OEM version or platform but this is very possible from 10.2.0.5 and up. Check the documentation (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B16240_01/doc/em.102/e14586/security3.htm#sthref336) or My Oracle Support site for details as there are a few hoops to jump through as a prerequisite.

  • Cisco Network Assistant Logging in without credentials

I just installed CNA 5.8, and did a discovery for a new community. It logged in to some devices without asking for a username or password. Any idea why?

CNA should be using the http (or https) server functionality on the target devices to present any necessary credentials.
I'd check the http authentication settings on the devices in question.
If those look correct, I'd wonder if a previous installation had the device credentials cached in the Java cache.

    Hi;
I just wanted to add the use case so you would understand why we need to handle all cases. I suggest that you actually ask customers what they want initially instead of assuming that you need all of them initially.
We have a reporting system we sell and one thing users can do is import images from an external source. Some users put their images on a web or FTP server requiring credentials. Others put it on a server that requires credentials. And we're now getting requests to pull from SharePoint.Fine. So you have the following task that has the following steps.
    1. Define source of image and where to store it.
    2. Create retriever based on 1.
    3. Run instance of 2
    4. Log errors from 3 or put retrieved file into location specified by 1.
In the above step 2 is a plug in that represents different ways of retrieving information.
And expanding on something that was said before you have a HUGE task in front of you in terms of supporting everything that you list above.
For example using only ftp these are some of the things I see.
    1. There are at least three types of secure "ftp" servers. The protocol for handling security is different for each.
    2. Although FTP is a protocol the implementation of how the servers work can be substantially different. For general handling the will likely require scripting for each targetted server.
    3. Locations on FTP servers not necessarily simple. Examples.
...a. Login to server. Cd to a directory. Get a file which has a date as part of the name.
...b. Login to a server. Cd to a directory with a timestamp in the name. Get a file.
...c. Login to a server. Get a file which has a random name based on the last creation timestamp of each file.
Note that FTP is actually easier than some of the other cases.
And in the above I didn't deal with any of the possible errors.

  • Error while deploying a management plug-in

    Hi
I have installed OEM on windows XP machine and now i am trying to deploy a sample plug-in. During the deployment process, i got an error saying that "The preferred credentials are not set for 10.200.213.226:3872". I went to Preferences -> Prefered Credentials ->Set Credentials for Agent. I have provided SYSMAN as username and the curresponding password. But still the deployment failed with an error saying "The agent did not recognize the supplied credentials". I referred to the below post in the forum.
Re: Error message: The agent did not recognize the supplied credentials
Then i tried to provide the windows machine user name and password. But it didnt work.
    Can anybody please clarify
    1. What credentials i need to set for agent.?
2.Only Default Credentails need to set?
    3. Do i need to set the credentials for Host also? If yes, there are two users namely normal user & privileged user. What are those?
    Any help is highly appreciable.

Agent credentials are the only ones you need to set for an MP deploy, but you'll want those agent credentials to be your windows machine username and password (not SYSMAN).
To test the agent credentials, create an OS command job against the agent (which does an echo or an ls). If it succeeds without credentials issues, the MP deploy should work since it uses those same credentials. It's just easier to go through creating a job than trying to deploy an MP...

  • ActiveSync stops working after migrating from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013

We have started the migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. We've followed best practices and everything is working great except ActiveSync. I've performed Exchange migrations in the past so this is nothing new for me. I've also been referring to
a great guide which has been a big help,
    http://www.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/exchange-server-2013/migration-deployment/planning-and-migrating-small-organization-exchange-2007-2013-part1.html.
Once a user is migrated from Exchange 2007 to 2013, ActiveSync stops working properly. Email can be pulled to the device (Nokia Lumia 625 running Windows Phone 8) by performing a manual sync. But DirectPush is not working. The strange part is it's not affecting
everyone who's been migrated. Anyone who is still on Exchange 2007 is not affected.
At first I thought it was our wildcard certificate. 99% of our users are running Outlook 2013 on Windows 7 or higher but we do have a few terminal servers still running Outlook 2010. Outlook 2010 was giving us certificate errors. I realized it was the wildcard
certificate. Rather than making changes to the OutlookProvider I simply obtained a new SAN certificate. Although that resolved the issues for Outlook 2010 users, ActiveSync was still a problem.
Rebooting the phones and removing the email account from the user's device and re-adding it didn't resolve the issue either.
Then I performed an iisreset on the CAS server. This didn't help either. I didn't know it at the time, but I was getting closer...
I tried using the cmdlet Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity but it gave me the following error:
WARNING: Test user 'extest_0d9a45b025374' isn't accessible, so this cmdlet won't be able to test Client Access server
    connectivity.
Could not find or sign in with user DOMAIN.com\extest_0d9a45b025374. If this task is being run without
credentials, sign in as a Domain Administrator, and then run Scripts\new-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1 to verify that
the user exists on Mailbox server EX02.DOMAIN.COM
I started reviewing how Exchange 2013 proxied information from the CAS to the mailbox server and realized the issue may in fact be on the mailbox server.
I performed an iisreset on the mailbox server and all of a sudden ActiveSync started working again. Awesome!
I can't explain why. The only thing I can assume is when some users were migrated from 2007 to 2013 something wasn't being triggered on the Exchange 2013 side. Resetting IIS resolved the issue. I guess I'll have to do an IIS reset after I perform a batch
of migrations. Disabling ActiveSync and re-enabling it for the affected users didn't help - only the IISRESET resolved the issue.
If anyone has any information as to why this happens, please chime in. Also, if anyone knows why I can't run the Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity cmdlet, I'd appreciate the help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
In Exchange 2013, the Public Folder is changed to Public Folder mailbox instead of Public Folder in Exchange 2007 database.
Due to the changes in how public folders are stored, legacy Exchange mailboxes are unable to access the public folder hierarchy on Exchange 2013 servers. However, user mailboxes on Exchange 2013 servers or Exchange Online can connect to legacy
public folders. Exchange 2013 public folders and legacy public folders can’t exist in your Exchange organization simultaneously. This effectively means that
    there’s no coexistence between versions.
For this reason, it’s recommended that prior to migrating your public folders, you should
first migrate your all legacy mailboxes to Exchange 2013. For more information about migrating public folder from previous versions, please refer to:

  • Guide to External Jobs on 10g with dbms_scheduler e.g. scripts,batch files

GUIDE TO RUNNING EXTERNAL JOBS ON 10g WITH DBMS_SCHEDULER
NOTE: Users using 11g should use the new method of specifying a credential which eliminates many of the issues mentioned in this note.
This guide covers several common questions and problems encountered when using
dbms_scheduler to run external jobs, either on Windows or on UNIX.
What operating system (OS) user does the job run as ?
External jobs which have a credential (available in 11g) run as the user
specified in the credential. But for jobs without credentials including
all jobs in 10gR1 and 10gR2 there are several cases.
    - On UNIX systems, in releases including and after 10.2.0.2 there is a file $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/externaljob.ora . All external jobs not in the SYS schema and with no credential run as the user and group specified in this file. This should be nobody:nobody by default.
    - On UNIX systems, in releases prior to 10.2.0.2 there was no "externaljob.ora" file. In this case all external jobs not in the SYS schema and with no credential run as the owner and group of the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/extjob file which should be setuid and setgid. By default extjob is owned by nobody:nobody except for oracle-xe where it is owned by oracle:oraclegroup and is not setuid/setgid.
    - On Windows, external jobs not in the SYS schema and with no credential run as the user that the OracleJobScheduler Windows service runs as. This service must be started before these jobs can run.
    - In all releases on both Windows and UNIX systems, external jobs in the SYS schema without a credential run as the oracle user.
What errors are reported in SCHEDULERJOB_RUN_DETAILS views ?
If a job fails, the first place to look for diagnostic information is the SCHEDULERJOB_RUN_DETAILS set of views. In 10gR2 and up the first 200 characters of the standard error stream is included in the additional_info column.
In all releases, the error number returned by the job is converted into a
system error message (e.g. errno.h on UNIX or net helpmsg on Windows) and that
system error message is recorded in the additional info column. If there is no
corresponding message the number is displayed.
In 11g and up the error number returned by the job is additionally recorded in
the error# column. In earlier releases 27369 would always be recorded in the
    error# column.
Generic Issues Applicable to UNIX and Windows
    - The job action (script or executable) must return 0 or the job run will be marked as failed.
    - Always use the full pathname to executables and scripts.
    - Do not count on environment variables being set in your job. Make sure that the script or executable that your jobs runs sets all required environment variables including ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID, PATH etc.
    - It is not recommended to pass in a complete command line including arguments as the action. Instead it is recommended to pass in only the path to and name of the executable and to pass in arguments as job argument values.
    - Scripts with special characters in the execution path or script name may give problems.
    - Ensure that the OS user your job runs as has the required privileges/permissions to run your job. See above for how to tell who the job runs as.
    - External job actions cannot contain redirection operators e.g. > < >> | && ||
    - In general try getting a simple external job working first e.g. /bin/echo or ipconfig.exe on Windows. Also try running the job action directly from the commandline as the OS user that the job will run as.
    Windows-specific Issues
    - The OracleJobScheduler Windows service must be started before external jobs will run (except for jobs in the SYS schema and jobs with credentials).
    - The user that the OracleJobScheduler Windows service runs as must have the "Log on as batch job" Windows privilege.
    - A batch file (ending in .bat) cannot be called directly by the Scheduler. Instead cmd.exe must be used and the name of the batch file passed in as an argument. For example
    begin
    dbms_scheduler.create_job('myjob',
       job_action=>'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CMD.EXE',
       number_of_arguments=>3,
       job_type=>'executable', enabled=>false);
    dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value('myjob',1,'/q');
    dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value('myjob',2,'/c');
    dbms_scheduler.set_job_argument_value('myjob',3,'c:\temp\test.bat');
    dbms_scheduler.enable('myjob');
    end;
/- In 10gR1 external jobs that wrote to standard output or standard error streams would sometimes return errors. Redirect to files or suppress all output and error messages when using 10gR1 to run external jobs.
    UNIX-specific Issues
    - When running scripts, make sure that the executable bit is set.
    - When running scripts directly, make sure that the first line of the script in a valid shebang line - starting with "#!" and containing the interpreter for the script.
    - In release 10.2.0.1, jobs creating a large amount of standard error text may hang when running (this was fixed in the first 10.2.0.2 patchset). If you are seeing this issue, redirect standard error to a file in your job. This issue has been seen when running the expdp utility which may produce large amounts of standard error text.
    - the user that the job runs as (see above section) must have execute access on $ORACLE_HOME/bin and all parent directories. If this is not the case the job may be reported as failed or hang in a running state. For example if your $ORACLE_HOME is /opt/oracle/db then you would have to make sure that
    chmod a+rx /opt
    chmod a+rx /opt/oracle
    chmod a+rx /opt/oracle/db
    chmod a+rx /opt/oracle/db/bin
    - On oracle-xe, the primary group of your oracle user (if it exists) must be dba before you install oracle-xe for external jobs to work. If you have an oracle user from a regular Oracle installation it may have the primary group set to oinstall.
    - On oracle-xe, the extjobo executable is missing so external jobs in the SYS schema will not work properly. This can be fixed by copying the extjob executable to extjobo in the same directory ($ORACLE_HOME/bin).
    - Check that correct permissions are set for external job files - extjob and externaljob.ora (see below)
Correct permissions for extjob and externaljob.ora on UNIX
There is some confusion as to what correct permissions are for external job related files.
    In 10gR1 and 10.2.0.1 :
    - rdbms/admin/externaljob.ora should not exist
    - bin/extjob should be setuid and setgid 6550 (r-sr-s---). It should be owned by the user that jobs should run as and by the group that jobs should run as.
    - bin/extjobo should have normal 755 (rwxr-xr-x) permissions and be owned by oracle:oraclegroup
    In 10.2.0.2 and higher
    - rdbms/admin/externaljob.ora file must must be owned by root:oraclegroup and be writable only by the owner i.e. 644 (rw-r--r--) It must contain at least two lines: one specifying the run-user and one specifying the run-group.
    - bin/extjob file must be also owned by root:oraclegroup but must be setuid i.e. 4750 (-rwsr-x---)
    - bin/extjobo should have normal 755 (rwxr-xr-x) permissions and be owned by oracle:oraclegroup
    In 11g and higher
Same as 10.2.0.2 but additionally bin/jssu should exist with root setuid
    permissions i.e. owned by root:oraclegroup with 4750 (-rwsr-x---)
Internal Error numbers for UNIX on 10.2.0.2 or 10.1.0.6 or higher
If you are not using a credential and are using version 10.2.0.2 or higher or 10.1.0.6 or higher you may come across an internal error number. Here are the meanings for the internal error numbers.
274661 - can't get owner of or permissions of externaljob.ora file
274662 - not running as root or externaljob.ora file is writable by group or other or externaljob.ora file not owned by root (can't switch user)
274663 - setting the group or effective group failed
274664 - setting the user or effective user failed
274665 - a user or group id was not changed successfully
274666 - cannot access or open externaljob.ora file
    274667 - invalid run_user specified in externaljob.ora file
    274668 - invalid run_group specified in externaljob.ora file
    274669 - error parsing externaljob.ora file
274670 - extjobo is running as root user or group

  • Exchange 2010 all mail clients with internal cached and internal non-cached mode users having connection status issues, login prompt -- external is fine either way

    Hello,
I'm seeing an issue that started this past Monday with no recent change to our environment.
External Outlook Anywhere users and Mobile users, OWA users are unaffected.
Internal Users are affected when using Outlook of any version, 2010 or 2013.
-Internal Users normally log into their workstation with their ad credentials, domain joined machines. Outlook opens without credentials prompting ideally.
    1 . Using Cached Mode:
    a. Login Prompts, slowness - Since Monday, users are getting prompted to login. The prompt goes away after logging in at startup. It is also causing high CPU
    on the workstations.
    b. Free/Busy, Out of Office doesn't work. I can, however complete auto-setup for a new user, so autodiscover is not completely down for internal users.
    c. Checking Connection Status shows connecting status on highlighted entry below without ever establishing connection (just goes away).
The outlook icon in the system tray says "Outlook is requesting data from the server":
    2. Using Non-cached mode
    a. No Login Prompt at startup, business as usual
    b. Free/Busy, Out of Office works fine. Autodiscover is fine.
    c. Checking Connection Status shows normal except, it has "casarray URL, then status is referral" it seams to flicker this constantly then go away intermittently.
    d. Main issue in non-cached mode is, sometimes a user will log into windows, open outlook and it will not open and says "server is unavailable. Retry, work offline, or cancel" I can try re-opening, same message.
Only after logging out of windows, logging back in, I can get back into outlook. This is not every time, or consistent with specific users, but random.
    3. Lync Pop up  for credentials often, though entering the password.
URLs are correct. Autodiscover, EWS, etc.
Already tried bypassing our loadmaster load balancer with host files on clients. same issue regardless of casarray node.
Not sure what is going on.
    Josh

You have a hybrid configuration with Office 365, right?  You didn't provide this valuable piece of information.
In Exchange Online PowerShell run this command:
    Get-OrganizationConfig | FL PublicFoldersEnabled
If the value is "Remote" then users with Exchange Online mailboxes are looking to on-premises public folders.  Be sure that you have legacy pubic folder interoperability properly configured.

    Hi,
Based on the error, it looks like an OWA authentication failure.

  • Field labels that won't go away in Address Book

    Help!
Many of my contacts have credentials at the end of their names, so I use the Suffix feature to keep track of them. However, for people without credentials at the end of their names, the word "SUFFIX" appears in gray on their contact card, and I can't make it go away.
Same thing with other unused fields on any given card, such as prefix. It is pretty annoying to have "Prefix Bob Jones Suffix" on a contact card.
How do I make these field labels disappear without eliminating the field?
    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to the discussions, Cobra.
Are you leaving the cards in edit mode? Those fields don't show up, if empty, unless you are in edit mode.

  • Webcams not working in Chrome for Ubuntu, despite having permission.

Not a too complicated issue I think: I've given my webcam permission through Flash to operate on a particular website, but it won't work anyway. For whatever reason the webcam is just not turning on. I use Google Chrome for Ubuntu 12.04 if that helps.

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want anonymous user access RSS feed link without asking for credentials.
I suggest you can check if you have deactived the “Limited-access user permission lockdown mode” feature in the site settings-> site collection features
In my environment ,after disabling the feature, then the rss feed link will be accessed without credentials for anonymous users in Chrome.
    Thanks
    Best Regards
