Opening and Closing inventory logic from MB5B

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to implement the logic used in transaction MB5B for opening and closing inventory.
I went through the program and searched form IMARD, BESTAND tables as some forum posts suggest, but could not figure out the complete set of logic to calculate the opening and closing inventory.
Has any one implemented the same logic and if yes if you can share that part of code that would be of great help as i dont have time to spend on R&D for the same.

My working:
OINM and OITM table inner join.
select expert record for the closing stock.
But for opening stock , how to achieve it ?
Is it possible in single report to get my requirement?

Opening and closing a frame from an applet security problem

can I open a frame or a window from an applet and close the frame by using
System.exit(0) for the frame or will it throw a security problem.

I am using system.exit(0) to exit the JVM.

Releases all of the native screen resources used by this Window, its subcomponents, and all of its owned children. That is, the resources for these Components will be destroyed, any memory they consume will be returned to the OS, and they will be marked as undisplayable.
If this frame have to be close and open again don't use dispose.
there is no check whether a frame is active? what you can do is set the the new frame to null (frame = null) and also when you dispose it, this will let you know if the frame is active or not.

Opening and closing stock from mb5b

Hi Experts
I am writing a code which will display goods reciept, issue, transfer, etc according to movement type .
I have done the coding but the problem is I am not getting the opening stock by period , I want to get sum (lbkum) sum (salk3) into some formulae column .. I want to get the sum of lbkum from mbewh joining mseg,mkpf as period -1
ie if I select 04.03.2009 , I want the sum of stock from mbewh based on period -1 . so what formale I have to write
to get the opening stock on the date selected . The date range is selected from mkpf .
I want to get stock on whatever date selected from mkpf.

you can get all data using MC.9 report
here you can get opening and closing stock with values based on material, plant, storage location
Kindly make sure while giving period
here it will take period in month and year i.e if you want opening stock for April then you have to give it as 03.2008 to 03.2008 and closing as 04.2008 to 04.2008

MB5B Report table for Open and Closing stock on date wise

I am trying get values of Open and Closing stock on date wise form the Table MARD and MBEW -Material Valuation but it does not match with MB5B reports,
Could anyone suggest correct table to fetch the values Open and Closing stock on date wise for MB5B reports.

Opening and closing balance difference is showing from 2010 to 2011 F.year

Dear All,
Opening and closing balance difference is showing for Main Cash(Cash in h)
End of fiscal year 2010 closing Balance 85,451,909.70
Opening Balance 2011 is showing as 85,450,909.70
Rs 1000 difference is coming.

Somes after year end for audit / management adjustment entries postings done with previous year.
Execute N no of times Balance carry forward T.Code: FAGLGVTR until you get your closing balances & opening balances are the same. it is not harm to execute again & again.
up to 4.7EE for balance transfer you can use T.Code:F.16 from ECC 5 / 6 use tcode for balance transfer FAGLGVTR

I need a report with similar to MB5B at particular posting date with opening and closing balances but I am unable to download the report to excel the data with MB5B tranasaction.Is there any similar transaction with same output values which can be easily transported to excel from Sap.

I tested in ECC6.0 and i could able to do so, you try as mentioned below.
In the output screen of MB5B, goto menu details > click on list > select save > select file > select spreadsheet. Here you can save tthe output in excel format.

Hi All,
i want to calculate the opening stock and closing stock for plant wise for the given Posting Period Date.
Am having the opening balance and closing balance for all months but i need it as month wise.
considering this example,
the date is from 15.01.2010 to 15.03.2010 and for one plant
considering this example,
am having the opening stock from as 15.01.2010 to 15.03.2010 as 10,000 and the closing stock as 15,000.
but i need in month wise like below,
from 15.01.2010 to 31.01.2010 what is the opening stock and closing stock?
from 01.02.2010 to 28.02.2010 what is the opening stock and closing stock?
from 01.03.2010 to 15.03.2010 what is the opening stock and closing stock?
this is purely based on plant wise and not material wise?
could anybody say clearly how can i acheive this scenario?
i have referred MB5b,mc.9 transaction programs but still confused how to go with plant wise for a particular period?

i have to develop a report in abap of stock (Opening and closing stock) with each material, plant, business area & monthly date wise. I got some fields from mseg like material number, plant, business area but i didnt get fileds like opening stock, purchase, consumption & closing stock

Yes umesh from external 99% of your stock from mvt 101, 501 is very rare case & 561 is not from external source it is initial stock updation which will be done only once when you are going live & later 561 mvt will be normally blocked for use.
You can also sort in MB5B more than one movement type click on multiple selection (that is on yellow arrow icon) & in single value tab enter mvt 101 below that 501.
This will give you report for mvt types 101 & 501 in this way you can also sort reports for more than one mvt type.
