  • Open a Dynamic URL from a Table column link

    Hi,
    Jdev Version (11.1.1.6.0)
    I have requirement to open a dynamic URL from table column. Any time I click on link, it should generate dynamic URL based on column attribute and open in popup or browser. Can someone pls suggest how to achieve this.
    Thanks
    Ank

    1)If you have any parameters that needs to be passed to build that dynamicURL, just set a propertyListener on the column attribute and get the value.
    2)Then on the af:commandLink action, build your dynamicURL with the required parameters.
    3) If you URL is all together a different application which doesn't share your transaction, you can open it as below
    In the below code, urlWithParams will be your dynamicURL.
    ExtendedRenderKitService erks =
    Service.getRenderKitService(facesContext, ExtendedRenderKitService.class);
    StringBuilder sbURL = new StringBuilder();
    sbURL.append("window.open(\"" + urlWithParams + "\");");
    erks.addScript(facesContext, sbURL.toString());
    You can also try the above response by user 948181.
    Hope it helps.

    hi,
    here is a quick example : (data from url returns as a clob. you need to write it at db. and call from forms.)
    FUNCTION Get_DataFromUrl(pUrl IN VARCHAR2,pProxy IN VARCHAR2,pData IN OUT CLOB) RETURN NUMBER IS
    vRcv UTL_HTTP.HTML_PIECES;
    vData CLOB;
    eNoDataReceived EXCEPTION;
    BEGIN
    UTL_HTTP.SET_DETAILED_EXCP_SUPPORT(TRUE);
    -- Get data pieces from Url
    vRcv := UTL_HTTP.REQUEST_PIECES(pUrl,Proxy => pProxy);
    IF vRcv.COUNT < 1 THEN
    RAISE eNoDataReceived;
    ELSE
    -- Append varchar2 table data into clob variable
    DBMS_LOB.CreateTemporary(vData,FALSE,DBMS_LOB.CALL);
    FOR i IN 1..vRcv.COUNT LOOP
    DBMS_LOB.WriteAppend(vData,LENGTH(vRcv(i)),vRcv(i));
    END LOOP;
    -- Copy local data into return variable
    DBMS_LOB.Copy(pData,vData,DBMS_LOB.GetLength(vData));
    DBMS_LOB.FreeTemporary(vData);
    END IF;
    RETURN SUCCESS;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN eNoDataReceived THEN

  • Opening an external URL from the Web UI

    Hello,
    I want to use the Web UI in order to open an external URL.
    I know it can be done easily using JavaScript, but the URL is generated from one of the page controller methods, and I want to open it directly from there.
    I know that there's the Window Manager in the Component Controller, that can open popup windows, but none of it's methods receive an external URL.
    So how can I open an external URL from the Web UI methods?
    Thanks,
    Udi.

    Hi,
    you can use the Trnsaction launcher with OP.
    in the window you create an OP_X
    with the code
      data: lv_navigation type ref to     if_crm_ui_navigation_service.
      lv_navigation = cl_crm_ui_navigation_service=>get_instance( me ).
      lv_navigation->navigate( iv_link_id = 'ZTO_X' ). "runtime you create the TO_X nevigation"
    in your implamentation class of the view you add a preotected method OP_TO_X with the code
       data:
        lr_window type ref to cl_bsp_wd_window.
      lr_window = me->view_manager->get_window_controller( ).
      lr_window->call_outbound_plug( iv_outbound_plug = 'TO_X'
                                     iv_data_collection = iv_data_collection ).
    and you call to that method from the EVENT_HANDLER you want.

  • Passing where clause with spaces from forms to reports

    Hi,
    Has anybody passed where clause as lexical parameter with spaces from forms to preports..
    I have seen people mention that, we can replace the spaces with special characters and then replace it again in the before trigger report..does anyone have a working example of that??
    Thanks.

    i solved the issue..
    i had written the procedure in the before report
    trigger instead of writing it in the before parameter
    form trigger..
    it works perfecto now..
    Thanks.We had removed the spaces and used commas to delimit each item.
    So you are saying spaces are not a problem in 10g?

    I know we can do that in "Javascript" but how to or is there a way to do that in java/swing.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    String WIN_FLAG = "url.dll,FileProtocolHandler";
    String WIN_PATH = "rundll32";
    String url = "www.google.com"
    String cmd = WIN_PATH + " " + WIN_FLAG + " " + url;
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec( cmd );

    Use javascript for this. I would do it this way....
    You can decide with JS if you want tot hide so elements from your browser. Should not be very difficult to implement

  • Opening a WEB page from FORMS CS & WebForms

    Hi,
    We would like to open a Web Page from a forms running in
    client/server as well as from a form runningover the web.
    Over the web, we plan to use SHOW_DOWUMENT (Even tough it seems
    broken, on forms 6.0, the only way we have got it working was by
    using the parameter that overwrites the current page (the form),
    we cannot have it open an URL in another window)
    In C/S mode, the SHOW DOCUMENT does not work. What is the proper
    way to lauch an URL in a browser in C/S mode ?
    Is there a way to determine if we're running in CS mode or Web
    Mode ? We would like to use the same code both on the web and in
    C/S
    Example pseudo code:
    if (Running in CS Mode) then
    open the URL using C/S method
    else
    open the URL with show dowument
    fi
    Thanks

    use '_blank' as parameter, not '_self'.

  • Calling a url from forms

    Hi!
    i have created a website using ARCIMS - (if you are not familiar with ARCIMS it is software that is used to create maps) I now want to call URL (website) from a button on my form. I have tried to use web.show_docuement and I am getting errors such as 'register failk'.
    I was able to run this same URL succesfuly from my browser. any ideas please?!?

    Kayla.
    web.show_document() is the right buit-in to do this and it works the same as calling a URL from a Browser. if it says "register failed" (not sure if I am correctimng your error message the right way) then this does not look like a Forms error message but one coming from teh program you call. Please check teh URL that is composed before calling web.show_document(). Check for invisible characters added to it.

  • Accessing an URL from Forms Java Bean

    Dear Oracle Gurus,
    Please help me
    I have an Oracle Application Server 10g Rel1 in production. I have oracle forms running with a java bean. I am passing an URL to this java bean to fetch and display an image.
    This url belongs to another web server (IIS server running a ASP.net application). If i call this url in internet explorer window it is displaying the image. If the same URL if i am calling from forms applet it is not working. When i checked in the java console by setting up trace level to 5 no error message.
    I have checked in the midtier/j2ee/home/log/home_default_island_1 folder in the log file no error messages. I have setup the internet explorer --> internet options --> security --> custom level --> miscellaneous --> access data across domain --> enable.
    Please give me a solution.
    Best Regards
    Syed Jalal

    Hello,
    I don't know how we can help you, because you use a Java Bean and did not tell us anything about this bean. A bean is like a "black box", so we cannot give you any help at all without the code.

  • To open an external URL from your application

    Please guide me in below scenario as I am new to SAP UI5.
    I have created a SHELL application with 5 tabs.

  • Back url from form?

    Hello.
    I have: a link, a report, a form
    When I set the link on a column on the report, it calls the form. (I also have edited the link so that the primary key columns are passed as parameters to the form to provide UPDATE/DELETE.)
    What I want to do is: Once the user submits the form, the form should redirect to the page where the report was displayed, and pass the parameters that were on that previous page. (basically, go back to where the user came from--exact url, which shows the update on the report) Does anyone know how to do this?
    The best solution would be for the form to open on the same page, then the form automatically refreshes the same url. Any ideas?
    (I have been looking at it too long, need fresh eyes/thoughts.!)
    Thanks!

  • Opening quicklook with spacebar from Apple Full Keyboard

    Hi,
    I have a problem with

    Somehow OSX only denies Quicklook from a externally attached Apple Keyboard on my Local machine. The function is obviously working as you can see when I try it remotely and with other keyboards.
    Anybody who has a clue deserves Cake!
    Thanks Already

    I know your Quick View post is from last November, but did you ever find a solution? I have the same issue, also using an Apple full size external keyboard on a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion. Thanks.
