Opera 9.50 (AUR) and weird java behaviour..

Well, I'm trying to get JRE working in Opera. When I launch a website which contains Java, the content containing Java is cut out of the browser and seperated to it's own window. I've already posted about this on the Opera forum, but it doesn't look like I get much responses..

Opera verion (latest from AUR):
Opera 9.50 Beta 2. Build 1786 for Linux. Qt library 3.3.8.
Java installed with pacman.
I'm running KDEmod.
Here's what happens when I'm opening a website with lots of Java:

Believe it or not, but I'm actually unable to start Opera 9.25 at all. Latest version should in many cases work with Java though. See here: http://my.opera.com/Jada0007/blog/2008/ … t#comments
I guess it might be some problem with KDEmod?

Xen dom0 kernel and weird LUKS behaviour

Hi all,
I am having weird behaviour with fresh Xen dom0 kernel and LUKS. Both Xen kernel come from AUR. No errors during kernel compilation or initramfs generation. While booting, system asks for password to encrypted LVM, using normal kernel (2.6.33-ARCH x64) I enter the password - everything is ok. But while booting Xen kernel, kernel says that password is wrong. After entering it 30 times I sure that I didn't make any mistake ;-)
Any ideas what is happening ?

Partially solved. I connected PS/2 keyboard and it worked. But why USB keyboard works on non-Xen kernel ? Any one knows how to make password visible while typing it at boot time ? It might help finding out what's wrong.

JMF example AVTransmit2.java and AVReceive2.java is not working for me?

Dear all
I want to develop a class which will capture my voice data from my microphone and then will send it to the sound system of my PC following RTP protocol. For that I tried both AVTransmit2.java and AVReceive2.java class from http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/ but they just not doing it how I want, I am sure I am making some mistake, please let me know.
Moreover, when I try AudioBufferControl.java from the above link it is doing it for me what I want, let me hear what I am saying to my microphone, but it is using "javasound", I think that is not using RTP. Again if I use JMStudio even then I can hear my voice from microphone to sound system.
Pls can you help me write a class and let me know what I am doing wrong!

Try to follow these steps:
1. make sure db tables have the pk and fk's pre-existing.
2. create a brand new workspace
a) Select New Business Components: business components from tables.
b) Select these two tables
c) on the define view pages (step 2), push both objects over, then just click [finish]
3. Open the ViewController Node
a) expand Web Content, then WEB-INF
b) double click struts-config.xml to open it
4. In Struts-config.xml
a) drop a datapage, name it BrowseRoster, double click it, then drag and drop the Roster table from your DataControl Palette, as a READ only table.
b) insert a column as the first cell in the table and drop the operation: setCurrentRowWithKey as a find Row link. This should create the ANCHOR link, i.e.
">Show Emps</a>
c) create another page, EditOneEmp, double click to open that, and EXPAND the Roster table in the Data Control Palette. Drop the Emp table on this as an input form.
d) Now go back to the STruts-config.xml and draw a forward from the browse to the detail and name the forward setCurrentRowWithKey.
e) run the browse page from the struts-config.xml file (right click and run). Click on the hyperlink and you should go to the detail input page.
You may have messed up in Step 4(c). Also, when you run into these situations, as we've run into this NUMEROUS times at work, follow through the examine again, IN A NEW WORKSPACE, and redo each and every step. You must be EXACT or things don't work.

Why AS10g Forms Applet don´t start with IE7 and SUN Java???

Hi @ all,
since two days i am really confused about this strange behaviour of internet explorer 7 with the Sun JRE 1.5.0_15.
Running our forms with Mozilla Firefox 3.x works fine with Sun JRE, but with IE7 the applet doesn´t start.
I don´t get any error messages. The only thing I can see is that the java console is not appearing, but I don´t think that my java installation is corrupted or something is configured wrong because other java applets from several homepages are working without problems ( and the java console is appearing ).
I read about the archive_ie parameter and I tried it but there were no changes in the behaviour of IE7.

JCO connection Between AIX ECC6.0 EhP4 and Windows Java stack

I have installed ECC6.o EhP4 ABAP stack in AIX6.1 with Oracle 11G and I have installed JAVA stack in Windows 2003 server
I am trying to create JCO destination in Visual Admin to ECC EhP4 its through error ,,can anybody tell me is it possible to create JCO destination with TWO different Operating systems?? and how to make the JCO destination..

Thanks for your time toi read my post.
We currently have a requirement to store Military Operations Analysis data for our simulation studies. Our broad requirements cover:
1, Storing and presenting country data including sub catergories such as: Current Government; Military Orders of Battle; Base Locations and details etc. Basically organised document relation storage.
2, Storing and presenting detailed platform data (aircraft, ships etc) down to the individual field level, including sub system data such as senor and weapon system details. This needs to be done in such a way that our Visual and Analysis sub systems can extract specific fields of data from the Database (such as ranges, fuel loads etc). At the "Portal" level it just needs a nice user interface to enter in this large amount of data aswell as view it nicely.
With the country data we wish to enter data in at the sub catergory level. Such that the document included will only detail information about that sub catergory such as demographics. We then need a way to display this information based in a template or style sheet, when displayed overviews can be seen. An example might be for a country overview template we may define for the HTML page to show:
+ top left of the page has the country map (image)
+ top right the text of the country
+ First 10 lines are on the government, (with a more button to see the whole document)
+ Next 10 lines are military power, (with a more button to see the whole document)
+ etc.
For the detail platform data we need some nice GUIs to enter in these moderately large amounts of data (approxmately 30 fields per sub system, ~3-7 sub systems to a platform). Perhaps some tabbed layouts using Java widgets or Dynamic HTML to ease the viewing and entering of the data. From our trials with WebDB, using HTML forms did not work at all.
Given your knowledge of Oracle Portal, how hard is to generate dynamic HTML as per the ideals for the country data and are Java inserts fairly easy to acheive working with the Oracle database backend?

seems some exception from Hrxssce_Pernr_Grp_Info... you might like to look at group configuration for expense report. this is either some missing data for employee or missing configuration for this set of employee.

Package Database, AUR, and Wiki Search - Chromium Extension

I made a Chromium (Google Chrome) Extension to search the package database, AUR, and the wiki.
You can search from the extension's icon or by right-clicking on highlighted text. (I've found this feature the most useful)
There are many configurable options in the Extension's option page and by default it will not search AUR or Wiki only the Package Database.

since upgrading to kernel 3.2.1.1 (same with 3.2.1.2) I have a weird keyboard behaviour.
I have to press ESC to leave this weird mode.

same for me, for about one week, on 2 different systems. I'm using KDE4 but some other people reported this problem on Gnome too. It generally stops when I strike the key again a few times.
It happened when I showed someone how cool Linux was, and then it opened 60 occurences of the same images I wanted to cut and paste...

BCM4322 wireless weird burst behaviour.

I have a Dell studio xps 1340, with the BCM4322 wireless card. Everything work fine with the broadcom-wl driver, however, I seem to get this weird burst behaviour. By this I mean, my network connection seems to be available for only 1-2 seconds before it cuts off and then reactivates another 1-2 seconds later.
I'm running KDE 4.5 using the networkmanager plasmoid. Here is a screenshot of said behaviour:
Can anyone explain to me why this is happening and if I can fix it in any way?

I've switched to wicd and everything seems to be fine now... Sometimes I get a random disconnect but it's pretty rare.

A java class is an object - described in a .class file - which has been given properties and behaviours and which can be instantiated in a program.
A java program( application ) consists of at least one class (one of which must be declared public) and which executes its main() method ( of the public class ) when it is started.
Every program is a class but not every class is a program.
Examples:
A java program

When you see package and import declarations at the start of a program they are there to ensure the compiler knows which classes are used in the program.

JDK + JRE installation from AUR, and OPENJDK6 removal...

Seems to me most of the discussion about this is outdated, so here I go:
I have been running into some issues with programming Arduino. Replaced my avr-gcc with avr-gcc svn, but to no avail. So now I'm going for the standard distribution package of Arduino on most, if not on linux, systems (MACOSX, Windows) that uses JDK and JRE from Sun Oracle. Got the PKGBUILD tarballs from AUR and successfully built my own JRE install, but here is my issue:

So I'm assuming I need JDK as well, but when I build JDK from AUR I get:

Now, can you tell me how to recycle the JDK packaged in the JRE AUR PKGBUILD script fetched from the internet? Its such a bother having to download it again when I already have a viable copy.
Edit: What I mean is reuse the JDK package gotten from Sun Oracle which currently resides in the src dir of my JRE AUR package build. I tried copying it straight to the src folder of the JDK builder, but to no avail... currently looking through makepkg wiki...

Slow and laggy Java Applications in Yosemite

I use Phpstorm IDE in my work, and after installing Yosemite and needed Java library (Java for OS X 2014-001) I've noticed that Phpstorm started to work very slow, scrolling is very laggy and with noticeable delay, even some weird rendering errors. I don't know what they have done to JAVA on Yosemite, but it's impossible to use Java based applications now.
I've restored from Time Machine back to Mavericks.
PS. Yosemite design *****, everything seems to be washed out, no contrast at all. Noticed that my eyes getting tired very fast with Yosemite design.

Well, it's all Java, right? So what's the problem? Since the JVM for HP-UX isn't made by Sun, so there could be compatibility problems, but I would expect that would be minimal if a problem at all. But you can't know unless you run it.
I don't know about building on the different systems. Java's supposed to be write once, run anywhere.... The byte code should be compatible no matter what. I've never heard of Sun saying "compile it on each platform". If the HP JVM isn't going to like bytecode compiled on Windows or another OS, then something isn't kosher with someone's JVM or compiler.

Logical AND in Java Regular Expressions

I'm trying to implement logical AND using Java Regular Expressions.
I couldn't figure out how to do it after reading Java docs and textbooks. I can do something like "abc.*def", which means that I'm looking for strings which have "abc", then anything, then "def", but it is not "pure" logical AND - I will not find "def.*abc" this way.
Any ideas, how to do it ?

First off, looks like you're really talking about an "OR", not an "AND" - you want it to match abc.*def OR def.*abc right? If you tried to match abc.*def AND def.*abc nothing would ever match that, as no string can begin with both "abc" and "def", just like no numeric value can be both 2 and 5.
Anyway, maybe regex isn't the right tool for this job. Can you not simply programmatically match it yourself using String methods? You want it to match if the string "starts with" abc and "ends with" def, or vice-versa. Just write some simple code.

That's a shame, because I was thinking about implementing a business search api for my real estate website that was created using business catalyst that allows the collection of all real estate agents in Australia by searching and collecting their information from the Yellow Pages and White Pages directories, and include these information in a database that allows users to search for the real estate agent they want and comment on that agent. This can only be done by integrating some PHP or JAVA code into my BC website.
So that means that the only way that I can do this is to create a web app that allows users to search for the real estate agent they want to see and comment on that agent, just by entering real estate agents' information into the web app's database and using various BC modules and plugins. Are there other easier ways to do this? Thanks.
