Operator Logo/Picture Message Editor in Java

Hi, I am a newbie in Java, your guidance is very much needed here.
In Club Nokia (and a couple of Short Message Service websites) I saw they have the operator logo/picture message editors for our mobile phones. Some even have the ringtone converters. I think they are written in Java, because I can see their bottom bar showing classes of Java while loading. I have try to search in the Internet for any possible articles/references/source code for such editors, but so far I am close to despair.
Can anyone point me to any sources that you know about this editor? Although Java is new to me, I guess I still can study the source code or articles so that I can make one as well. I am really interested in this editor because it looks just like a graphics editor.

Problem in delivering Picture Messages through Java SMPP client

I m working on development of SMPP Client, using Java. In it�s development I didn�t used any API from eny vendor, and implemented purely in Java. I am facing one unusual problem in receiving of Picture Messages. Also, I have one C based client application.
I m sending picture message through both client application(s) to be delivered over different handset(s). I have tested many different cases, but could not conclude to any solution. The behavioral cases are as follows;
When I sent same picture message through Java SMPP client on Nokia 1100, it get received with prompt �Picture Message Received�. And on viewing it, �Message cannot be displayed�, is informed and no picture message get displayed. Till now it happens for every caseto this handst, but get properly displayed on Nokia 32xx / 53xx.
Whereas while sending through the C SMPP Client on Nokia 1100, sometime it get displayed and sometimes it doesn�t. Same prompts follows on not receiving right picture message while using Java SMPP Client
I m not understanding why;
It doesn�t get delivered correctly a picture message, every time I submits it to deliver on 1100 while sending through C based,
And why It doesn�t get delivered correctly at all while sending through Java SMPP client on 1100 whereas it get delivered correctly over other Nokia model handset.
Kindly, anyone make me solve out the prob��.

Even we have implemented the Java SMPP client, to sending the picture message as embeded SMS.
If you do not have issue to share the SMPPClient which is sending the picture message, I can look into the code and help you. Let me know, I can share my personal email id.

6300 need help with picture message settings

i cant seem to find how to enter my picture message settings
could someone please explain just what to do
i have the following from my provider
Advanced Options- TCP/IP= Check the box for APN settings enabled APN: uk.lebara.mobi We do not enable authentication.

call your operator and ask them to send the settings over the air these normally come in via text and when you recieve the message you will be given the option to save or discard,so save the message and select as default

How to change the automatic character format in Message Editor?

Hi experts,
We use PI 7.31, AAE adapter in our scenario. When we use the message monitor in Adapter Engine, we choose one message and open it in Message editor, we can see the message payload with AUTO Character Format: Windows-1252.
The problem is we have some CN characters and they cannot display in correct formats.
So, is there any way to change the AUTO Character format?
The other question is, can we see the message after mapping in java message monitor?

Hi,
The Quantity field which is used in sales order has a standard Data Type:QUAN
with Decimal Places:3 so u cant change the settings in standard data element CRMT_SCHEDLIN_QUAN
If u want the quantity field without decimals then u need to create a Z data element.

Where to put operator logo on 6300 so it's recogni...

My 6300 is showing the Vodafone operator logo, and I'd like to remove it. I'm told the best way is to get a blank logo and to use that instead. Fine! :-)
I downloaded a blank logo and stored it in phone memory (Gallery|Images), but it's still not getting recognised. On Settings|Display|Operator Logo I'm getting the message "No logos in phone memory". As far as I understand it, my file "blank.nol" is in the correct format.
What do I have to do, to get it recognised and used???

I'm a bit like a Mountie, asem - I always track down the information I'm after. Undoubtedly this is a fault - really I've wasted practically the whole day on this!! Next on my list is how to get to the system file structure... I just found something about a prog called x-plore... Many thanks for your help, and I'm glad to hear the download didn't cost anything :-) Quite amazing what can be done to one's phone by means such as this (excuse the 'wow' factor for this newbie here...)

Is it possible to make a code editor in Java?

I'm new to java and so i'd like to know if it would be possible to make a simple code editor for Mobile Phones with Java.
The code editor will be for GML.
I'd like to make it so that the code can be easily edited on a wide range Mobile phones (not necissarily smart phones).
If this is possible, I would greatly appreaciate any help or advice. Thanks.

Create a Text Editor with Java

I'd really like to create a text editor using Java but, i'm having a little trouble figuring out which direction to take to create it. I'm thinking of purchacing a book on Swing, I know there must be more to learn though. are there anything else that might be useful in achieving my goal?

Major problem using Nokia Test Message Editor

Using Nokia Test Message Editor on PC Suite 6.83 to create a new message (via USB cable), when I click on create new message (works fine) and then when I click on the "To" button, it says error. It asks me to close program as it has performed an illegal operation. Whys that? The only way I can currently get it to work is by manually entering the phone number but just cant use teh To button.

No that's not helping, "oh boy".
I tried to Repair PC Suite from the Unistaller, same error.
Then I uninstalled PC Suite, restarted, ran PC Suite Cleaner 3.5 to get rid of registry settings and files. Then I noticed some old data in Application Data\PC Suite (old IMEIs) which I all deleted, then I restarted again and installed the newest PC Suite back. It asked me to install MMSync onto my phone, which I did. (see separate bug report on that
Then it gave me a message that some "Old Contact Browser data was found and has been moved to a separate folder", which I think is somehow related to the Contacts bug which I had described for a previuos PCS version, under my old nick "zak1974". Feeling good and all hopeful at last, I launched the Contact browser and it got all contacts with no problem, I went to Messages - Inbox. Clicked on Create New Message button, then "To" - only to find the same bug, which I am perfectly able to reproduce and describe on any level reaqired, as I have saved all screenshots and messages on the way to the Text Message Editor crash. All the above gives me some right to declare a software/firmware bug with the versions of products I had described in my first post.
Any other ideas?

Remove operator logo from 6270

Does anyone know how to remove the operator logo from a 6270? I've tried sending a blank logo to the phone using Logomanager but it got a "Saving failed" message twice. I've also tried downloading blank logos from a couple of wap sites - they claimed to have saved but I still can't turn operator logo off

See if you turn off the operator logo under your display setting of Active Standby Mode.

You need to contact ur operator and ask them to send u MMS & wap and internet settings (Or only MMS), u'll most probably get them via configuration sms, open it, go to options and select "save" phone will ask if to set it as default, select yes. that's it. Try to send Picture message.

There is no setting on the iPhone to change that, so maybe a reset might help. Push and hold the Sleep/On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Issue with new Message Editor

I have come across some awkward behavior with new Discussion Forums message editor.
Previously, if you wanted to add a smiley, or a link or image, when you clicked the button aboved the edit window, those features behaved more like a menu drop down or had a dialog box. With the new editor, those features come up in a separate window. Using IE6.0 at work, the new behavior is pretty similar to the way it worked before. However, using IE7.0 at home, these come up as separate tabs within IE. So instead of getting a small menu dropdown or dialog box to select a smiley, a new IE tab gets created that is mostly blank except for the smileys. Insert an image, a whole new IE tab comes up where you fill in the lines such as the URL to the image.
I like the older method of it behaving like a menu drop down or dialog box, it is awkward how in IE7, these come up as separate tabs in IExplorer.

X2-02 Operator Logo How to Set or Choose?

Hi Readers,
There is an option under Display settings for Operator Logo but its grayed out.
How to set or select or choose an Operator Logo, if it cannot be set then why is this option present.
I had C1-02 earlier, even in that I had this option but could not use because no one knows how to set an Operator Logo.
Can any one help me in setting up operator logo on X2-02?

To set operator logo follow these steps.............
1.Rename your logo extension to .oplc(ex-nokia.jpg to nokia nokia.oplc)
2.Then go to music player select options>downloads>go to adress
3.Then write file path as if you can save your logo in your memory card and the logo name is nokia then write file:///e:/nokia.oplc
4.Then go to home screen by pressing red button then you se a message operator logo recived
5.Then select view>save
6.operator logo is set enjoy!!!!
