Opportunity sales assistant  actions

Hi Guys,
I created some new actions & action profile. I assigned it to a new opportunity transaction type. Now when I go into sales assistant tab page, select an action & activate it, it creates the same activity below it rather than in the workspace below for activities. (I created an action similar to gather customer information)
Anything that I am missing?

I am trying to replicate the gather customer information action. This is what I have done.
Created an action, with immidiate processing, no restrictions, changeable in dialog, executable in dialog.
Partner Functions- none
Using conditions that can be transportable
Max 1 action unprocessed for each action definiation.
Processing method: method call
Method: COPY_DOCUMENT.
Description: Generate subsequent document.
Yet it still not working. When I select the phase, I see the appropriate actions but when I activate them they just populate on the same workspace instead of the workaspace alloted for activities. Also is there any way to directly copy the Opportunity_Sales_assistant profile. I couldnt find any option to do so.

    Hi ,
    I got a small problem during my first customizing of opportunities in SAP CRM. I copied the transaction oppt and chaged the  action profile to OPPORTUNITY_SALES_ASSISTANT. No I can select during the work with opportunities the sales assistant. But iif I select one action and click back - nothing is changed in my opportunity. I thought, that I see this now as activity in my transaction. Any idea, I think I missed some customizings.

  • Query on Sales Assistant for Opportunity Transaction

    Hello All,
    We have configured the activities which the sales assistant has to perform the same is getting determined, however when we click on the particular activities the required activity is not getting created, please let me know if there any configurations which I am missing.
    In the below screen shot the sales stage is selected as Demo.
    The following activities below have been configured.
    However now when I am clicking on the activities demo requirement discussion, I am getting the below message and the system does not take me to the particular activity instead I am getting the message below, when I click on okay the activity does not appear.

    Thanks for the reply appreciate the same, I created a new action profile Y_SALESASSITANT2 and defined a new action for the same YCUSTOMER APPOINTMENT1(screen shot attached)
    The processing type parameter is set to be method call and the element(PROCESS_TYPE) is defined in Upper Case.(Screen shot attached)
    The action profile is assigned to the transaction type YOPS
    Maintained the required condition
    I am checking my transaction in gui however the action does not get executed even after activating the same.
    When I click on the action and click on activate the same does not get executed, please advice further.

  • Launch BSP in PC UI when an action is activated in Sales Assistant Tab

    Hi
    I have come across detailed information on how to launch a BSP in a tab . However I am wondering if there is any way to launch a BSP when an action is activated in the sales assistant tab. In SAP gui it is easy to do by defining a custom method and using either a html control or function module . Any ideas how to achieve this in PC UI?

    can you describe detailed in what Application you whant to launch the BSP and do you want it to be shown in the Tab or started by clicking on a Button?

  • Default phase in Sales Assistant

    Hi Forum,
    How can I default the first phase (defined in the Sales Assistant)as default phase in the details tab page when new opportunity is created,where I have defined 5 phases in sales assistant in opportunity.So whenever I create an Opportunity first phase should come as default in the details tab page.

    Hi,
    To default the phase in an opportunity, you can do the following:
    1. Implement the BAdI "CRM_OPPORT_H_BADI"
    2. Within the BAdI use the method CRM_OPPORT_H_MERGE.
    3. In the method use the following code:
        IF  cs_opport_h_badi-CURR_PHASE IS INITIAL
        and cs_opport_h_badi-SALESCYCLE = 'XYZ'.
          cs_opport_h_badi-CURR_PHASE = 10.
        ENDIF.
    Note that in place of XYZ in the code you will have to mention the transaction type code and instead of 10 you will have to mention the code for the phase which you want to default.

  • Sales assistant gave wrong info? battery life

    i've had my macbook for about 7 months. ive noticed in the past month or so, my battery life has gone from lasting approximately 4 hours (with wireless turned on) to less than 2 hours.
    the sales assistant told me the best way to preserve the long battery life was to only run it on the battery, and to only have it plugged in to charge it from 0%-100%. then, when it was back to 100%, to unplug it and run it on battery.
    ive been reading some information about "calibration" and "cycle counts", and im worried that the information given to me was NOT right. i checked my cycle counts, and it is at 186!
    i rely on my battery life for when im at uni in lecture halls with little access to an electric outlet, and 2 hours really wont cut it when i have classes 4 hrs long.
    was the information given to me incorrect? should my battery life be longer given ive only had the computer 7 months?? what should i do to rectify this?
    any advice is greatly appreciated, as im still a newbie!

    The sales assistant is completely wrong, if that's indeed what he/she said. You do not want to be constantly running any lithium-based battery down to zero on a regular basis. That will shorten it's life, not lengthen it. You do want to occasionally run it down to where the computer goes to sleep - not more than once per month or once every two months - to keep the charging circuitry calibrated, but other than that, charge the system whenever you can, and keep it plugged in when you don't need to run on battery. Clearly when you're in lecture you'll have to run on battery and may run the battery to zero, but don't do it deliberately.
    Batteries do at times prematurely fail, but whether that's the case with your system I can't say for sure. There are many factors that will affect how long a system will run on a single charge, including how much the hard drive or optical drive is used, how much time the system spends with the backlight on, whether you're using Airport and/or Bluetooth, and how hard the processor is working. So two hours might be normal for the system's use at that particular time.
    If you have an Apple Store nearby, make an appointment at the Genius Bar and take the system in and discuss the problem with them. If the Genius diagnoses a defective battery, they should replace it under warranty.

  • Missing Actions in Sales assistant of MSA

    Hi Gurus,
    We defined sales cycle, phases (4 phases) and assigned these to an opportunity transaction type. We assigned actions to these phases.
    In SAP GUI, we are able to see all the actions assigned for a phase but in MSA we are only able to see the actions that are assigned to the first phase of the sales cycle. For the remaining phases we are not able to see the assigned actions.

  • Opportunity Sales Stage

    We have a requirement to lock down the the Opportunity (unable to make any changes) when the the Sales Stage moves to Closed/Won? Any ideas?

    we achieved this via workflow.
    Header section:
    Record Type => Opportunity
    Trigger Event => Before modified record saved
    Workflow Rule Condition => (PRE('<SalesStage>') <> "Closed/Won")
    "Actions If Condition Is False" section:
    Cancel Save = checked
    Display Message => No Changes allowed when Opportunity is Closed already.
    "Actions" section
    leave blank.
    => the above order has to be 1st so that for any changes done to the opportunity, if the sales stage is already Closed/Won, the changes will be prevented and message will appear "No Changes allowed when Opportunity is Closed already. "

    Hi,
    You will have to debug into procedure ibe_workflow_pvt.Generate_Detail
    this procedure is resposible for population of &QUOTEDETAILWITHTAX .
    Try executing various queries from this procedure by replacing l_quote_id with quote_header_id.

  • Opportunity - Sales Prospect: List search results if more than one match

    Hi CRM Experts,
    in the Opportunity our users have to enter a Sales Prospect. PC-UI allows to enter directly a Name like "Wolf". But when you press enter after this step the first match is filled into this field. But this can be the wrong Sales Prospect. I want to have a functionality that when the Name is entered and there are more than one match a list of the results should be displayed. Then the user can choose the correct partner.

       Yes,you are right actually the pop up window will appear with sales employee and other partner if necessary and suggested by the system.I hope you would have gone thru acquistion  from there opportunities and then you would createand clicked on sales methodology(Scroll down if necessary).Actually i dont have access now to the system i will defintely check it out and let you know ASAP.

    On the sales opportunity window, in the stages tab, the stages field has a Define New option. Is there a way to remove the Define New option. We do not want users to define their own stages.

    Hi Jane,
    Please use Additional Authorization Creator Window to restrict users from accessing User Tables.
    Definition
    Use this window to create and add a new permissions object for user-created forms.
    To get here.. Admin.>System Init > Authorization > Additional Authorization Creator
    In the Additional Authorization Creator window, enter an Authorization Id and Name, From the option dropdown Select the options you want.
    To enter the FormID, Click Edit and enter the Form Number of the User defined table.
    NOTE: To get the Form number open the user defined table and on the Status Bar at the bottom you can see the Form=xxxxx (number), in your case 733. Use this number. To view the form details on the status bar, please click View > System information on the Top Menu.
    One you have entered the Form number click Update.
    Now in the General Authorization Window you can see an additional entry on the right side window bottom called User Authorization clicking which you will see the Additional Authorization you created. Set this as No Authorization for the user for whom you don't want to give permission to define new. Hope this helps.

  • Historical Opportunity Sales Stage Report

    I have a basic report that shows Opportunity Name, Historical Sales Stage, and Stage Start Date.
    How can I display a column that shows the previous Sales Stage along with it?

    I've created custom fields for each sales stage with Workflow rules that update the fields with "Timestamps" when the SalesStage changes. Example, field "Closed/Won Timestamp" field is populated when the SalesStage is changed to "Closed/Won" with the current Timestamp.
    Then you filter or include these fields in your analysis and can have "Timebased" reporting.
    I've also created custom fields to Timestamp when the Owner is changed, when a CloseDate is changed, when a lead is "Qualified", when Total Revenue is changed, when a Account "Type" is changed and what was the Previous status.
    Each custom field has Workflow that Updates Values upon the rule being triggered.

    I want to change the fields as mandatory once the sales stage is moved from one stage to another stage, from initial change to discussion stage i want 3 fields as mandatory, and from discussion to closed/won some fields are mandatory including weblinks. Could you please suggest on this.

    You can use the Sales Process to do this...
    To make fields required for a Sales Stage
    Navigate to:
    Data Rules & Assignment -> Drill down on Your Sales Process -> Drilldown on a Sales Stage for which you want to add required fields -> in "Additional Required Fields" section click the "add" button and add the fields here.

  • Workflow  triggering actions?

    We defined multiple workflow actions for opportunity sales assistant. These actions share a common business logic (WF template), but they should be processed by different groups depending on the actions. 
    Is there a way for us to find out the triggering action at runtime? so we can direct the workflow to the responsible group. 
    We were able to pass the opportunity business object to the workflow container, but it doesn't contain any information of the triggering action.

    You can't update another object when one object is updated i.e. Custom Object can't be updated automatically using Workflow when Contact Object is updated. You need to use Web Services to do this. All you have to do is define some Integration Events on the Parent object (which triggers the Update) and then based on the Integration EVent, update the Child Object (which needs to be updated).
