OPR LEAD TIME OFFSET IN BOM

Hi all ,
my scenario is like :
FG contains SFG10 , and SFG10 omtains SFG20
I am using backward scheduling , Results in MRP run are as :
FG :          30.03.2008      17:30:00
                 25.03.2008     15:20:00
(SFG10 frwrd scheduling start time is 09:30:00)
SFG10:      25.03.2008      12:30:30
25.03.2008       09:30:00 (start time of workcenter).
in BOM of FG for component SFG10 i have mainatined ( 120- min ) opr lead time offset, to start the SFG10 at 11:30:00 , but it is not happening , whr i am missing ?

Hi,
pls check with the operation start time and not wth the order start time
(ie, oprn for which the component you have assigned) in CO02-oprns overview-dates tab.
you can see that from the start time of the operation, the reqmt time for the component will be 120 min ahead (CO02 -component overview-general tab -dates tab-reqmt date ) .

  • What is the maeaninf of lead time offset in BOM

Can anybodye xplain me the maeaning of lead time offset in BOM

    Hi,
In situations where orders have long lead times, this scheduling procedure can result in components being provided much earlier than they are actually needed in the production process. To avoid this situation, the dependent requirements date of the subordinate component can be rescheduled by the follow-up time. With the follow-up time the dependent requirements date of the components is displaced from the order start date further into the future.
The lead-time offset (in workdays) for the component in relation to the start date for production of the superior assembly. This value is not included in lead-time scheduling for a task list.
Displacing the Dependent Requirements Date in the Future
If you have entered a positive value in the bill of material, the dependent requirements date of the component is displaced in the future, starting from the order start date of the assemblyu2019s planned order.
Order start date of the assembly: 11.30.1999
    Lead-time offset: 2+
Dependent requirements date of the component: 12.02.1999
Bringing Forward the Dependent Requirements Date
If you have entered a negative value, the dependent requirements date will be brought forward.
Order start date of the assembly: 11.30.1999
    Lead-time offset: 2-
Dependent requirements date of the component: 11.28.1999

  • Positive lead time

    Hello,
in PP customizing, Shop floor control - operations - scheduling - define scheduling parameters for production order:
In adjust dates, i have: do not adjust basic dates, dep.reqmts to order start.
I need a positive lead time too. SAP don't permit it. WHYYY???
In our plant we need to increase several days the requirements date of material to receive the material several days after the beginning of the operation.
    How could i make this????
    THANK YOU ALL.

    Hi,
Generally the reqmts dates of the components is initially set to the order start date of the planned order to which the components are assigned.
--- if a component is reqd earlier or later we can shift the reqmts date using the lead time off set / operation related lead time off set in the Bom Item detail screen.
    Lead time off set:
if we make an entry in this field the reqmts date which is initially set order start date is moved.
    Only -ve values are allowed.
ie components must be available before the scheduled start date.
Lead time offset for an Operation:
if we make an entry in this field the reqmts date which is initially set to order start date of the operation to which the components are assigned is moved.
    +ve value -
components can be available after the start date of the operation.
    -ve value -
components must be available before the start date of the operation.
You need to maintain these fields in BOM Item details screen Basic data.

  • Production lead time report

    Hi,
Given below mateiral with their lead time activity
Material A- Finish (in house prodn)
    100 qty = 10 days
    Low level in BOM
    X- Halb (2 days)
    Y-Roh (10 days)
    Z-Traded goods (2 days)
Is there any report available which provide the information, if i want to plan mateiral (finish) with what period it is possible to fulfill the customer requirement. Considering all procurement and production activity.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
There is no standard report available for the leading time of FG with BOM multi levels. You can go for a Z report.
    thanks and regards

  • Total replenish lead time

    Hi gurus,
anyone can explain why this field (total replenish lead time) is designed to enter manually instead of system automatically calculate from BOM for a manufactured part? and how does it work according to the following scenario:
product X is produced in plant=1000 from material A and B (both A and B are procured externally for plant 1000, to simplify the case)
in plant 1000, PO processing time=1day
A: planned del.time=3 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
B: planned del.time=5 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
to make X need 2 operation: 1st operation need 1 day to assemble A and B together, after assembling, 2nd operation need 1 day to paint, 1 day to dry
what's the total replenish lead time we should enter for X?
    thanks,
    cookie

    Dear Cookie
3.if it's only for availability check, does that mean the MRP would not be affected by this field, then what would be the lead time feed into MRP? what's the relationship between MRP and availability check? why they use 2 different sets of data?
    1) MRP will not take this field into Account for Calculating Dates
    2) MRP for in-house materials - in-house production time & GR Procesing time ( Lead time )
3 ) For external Procured materials - PR processing time , Planned delevery time & GR Processing time
    4) MRP Net Req. Calculation Concept is different from Availbility check Concept

  • Cumulative Lead Time -MRP

Can you tell me, What is Cumulative Lead Time?. In MRP module, i can't use this function, althought i have already read help file.
    Please explain for me!
    Thank you!

    Hi Tien Le ,
This MRP concept is best understood when you run the MRP by yourself and analyze. Let us perform a exercise
    1. Create an item called as a Parent item (Make), Item A (Buy) and Item B (Buy), you will find 'make' and 'buy' in planning tab of item master data. don't forget to mark all three item as mrp in the same tab..!
2.Create a single level of BOM i.e. Parent item needs item A and Item B.
3.Create a sales order for parent item  with qty as 1 date as on today and due date as on 15th of aug.
4.Create another sales order for parent item again with qty as 2 date as on today but now due date as on 20th of aug.
    5. Now run MRP with start date as today and end date as on 15th aug. Consider only sales order and untick all others. Check the result and recommendations you will find no change in both.
    6. Now run MRP again with start date as today and end date as on 15th aug. Consider only sales order and "Max. Cumulative Lead time = 5"
Now check the result and recommendation of MRP run you will find the difference and this difference is caused by cumulative  lead time.
Result would be that the max cumulative lead time is the time limit that is added to your planning horizon.
    Hope you understood.

    Aditya.

  • WO scheduling based on lead times defined in item attribute

I wanted WIP to consider the fixed & variable lead times specified for the item - where I am not rolling up mfg lead times using BOM.
Has anyone been able to automatically schedule WO start date based on the lead times inputted in Item attribute.
    null

    Dear Bimal,
The manufacturing lead times (setup and operation) are resource specific, and to declare them at item lead time attribute level is not practical (you need to define too many item levels in BOM to reflect every manufacturing step). The other work around is when routing is defined, you define two resource steps for each resource and make the first step lot basis and give setup time as usage rate and the second step item basis and operation time as usage rate. This gets reflected in manufacturing scheduling irrespective of quantity limitation (to define lead time at item level you need to define lot size also). I hope this takes care of your needs.

  • MM Report for Reorder and lead time

    Hi,
Can anyone suggest me a report that can show information by materail such as min./max. quantity, re-order or safety stock, and replensihment lead time.

  • Lead time values are not appearing in the report for current year.

    Hi friends,
Iam checking a report in production.  where lead time values are displayed as 0 for 1 key figure lead time3 (w/0 dim) . i found there is a formula for this it shows like NODIM ( 'Lead Time 3' ).and there is a value for cal.lead time
how can i get values in the report.
    Thanks ,
    VRV.

    Hi,
Although your question is not clear, I understood that the formula built on that KF is NODIM. Basically it means, units of measurement is not considered when calculating.
    Eg: 5 Minutes + 5 Kilograms = 10
You please try to analyze your KF by the above logic. Then you would be able to figure out why the data is not appearing in the report..
    Assign if helps...

  • Is there any method to stop rescheduling of the PO Need By date from ATP if there is any holiday specified in shipping calender. The requirement is to update the schedule ship date on Sales Order but the lead time of  Purchase Order should not increase

We are currently not able to manage schedule ship date proposed by ATP when our warehouse is closed. For example , we would like that ATP doesn't propose any schedule ship date for the first of May , which is a non working day in France. The constraint is that we don't want our purchase need by date to be impacted by the process.
I tried to closed one day in FR1 calendar and, after testing with order management, it appears that ATP didn't propose the closed day, so that's fine, but, our purchase order lead time was increased of 1 day and this is not what we expected.
Can you help us to find the right process.
    Thanks

  • Sales order is not taking shipping transit lead time into consideration

    Hi,
    We have following scenario -
    1. Sales order is created in AT organization.
    2. There is no onhand in any of the organizations including AT.
    3. The scheduled ship date for sales order comes as order creation date + item lead time = 15-Sep-2011.
    3. PO for sufficient quantity is available at UK org with need-by date as 01-Jun-2011.
    5. Post processing item lead time for this item is 1 day.
    4. intransit shipment is setup between UK and AT.
    5. Shipment Transit lead times are also set up at 3 days between locations of UK and AT.
    6. ASCP plan is run.
    7. Sales Order is unscheduled and rescheduled via API MSC_ATP_PUB, which takes the ATP details from UK (based on the sourcing rules). The sheduled ship date comes as 02-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + 1 day of post processing).
    8. Expectation is that API should also take transit lead time into consideration while calculating the ATP dates and hence the Expectation is that scheduled ship date should come as 05-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + Transit lead time + 1 day of post processing).
    Please let me know
    a. if this is standard functionality of oracle or not.
    b. if this is standard functionality then what setups are missing required for the same to be achieved.
UAT is held up for this issue. Please help urgently.
    Regards.

Oracle is supposed to take the in-transit time into consideration.
Are you running a constrained plan or an unconstrained one?
Make sure you defined the inter-org network as described in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/inv/shipne01.htm.
or go to Inventory > Setup > Organization > Inter-Location Transit Times and enter it there.

  • Purchase-How could I consider Transit time and lead time in imported mat.

My doubt refers about master data configuration of imported material.
    My sittuation is :
Material - Lead Time:  (depend on source)
                   Transit Time: (depend on source)
My company is responsable to transport all bought material. Besides, I can buy of differents suppliers.
Considering these rules, It s impossible to fix dates in material master, because material purchase is related with center and not with supplier. By the way, I need to discover other master data to configure it maybe : Inforecord, quotization... Whatever...
I need to correct this to generate Purchase order with dispatched date of my source against required date of my company after execute MRP.
I tried to study this scenario but until now I ve not got a solution.
Probably, you have had it before and can help me.
    I hope your help!
    Thank you!
    Regards!

Create POs with respect to either PIRs (if you don't need to print out) or Contract/item, both of these are Vendor/material specific so you can set lead times accordingly .  Probably best to use Source List and set requirement in material master too (Purchasing view).

  • Purchase order with transportaion time+replenishtment lead time in PP/DS

The process: Location 0011 buys by supplier 1080 with normal purchase order.
Delivery lead time 30 days of this 20 days transportation time and 10 days replenishment lead time of the supplier. Delivery free on board.
What to do that the date for free on board is in the purchase order.for example.: Beginning November.
And the inbound delivery date end of November in the md04 R3 and product view PP/DS.

Yes 30 days is the total lead time . I am not so good in modelling of FOB in PP/DS.
In R3 we have a not so good solution for FOB. There we have add the transporting time inte the GR Processing Time. This is not so good.
    The solution beeing
in the  purchase order the date for finish the supplier on board
and in the md04 R3 and product view PP/DS the to arrive in the firm location
