  • Multiple Scopes for the same subnet with Cisco CNR

I have a requeriment from my internal client that he wants to have  multiple scopes within the same /21  subnet , but he wants to have different scopes for each group of servers ( in the /21 subnet).
We have 2 Cisco CNR ( I dont know the version they are running because they are managed by an external vendor) but they are in active / standby mode.
My question is .. it is posible to make the CNR have different scopes (ranges of IP's) for the same subnet ( /21) and assign those based on the client ( I dont know what criteria can be followed .. maybe Mac Address ???).
I appreciate any help or pointing to the right documentation
    Thank you in advanced

I don't know that you would want a separate PO print. You can print the same PO print twice to provide a copy for the freight vendor. I think it should be okay as long as it is clear that the PO is with the vendor for the products but there is a condition specifying the freight deal. The second vendor (say the freight vendor) should be okay with this PO as well. I don't remember how the standard SAP PO forms handled the vendor condition but it should be enough I would think. I never came across a separate PO for freight since it is usually an value added service that is an integrated part of shipping goods and the paper-work usually is leveraged from PO, bill-of-lading, etc. SAP will make it difficult if you do need a separate PO since there is no way to use account assignment to material and therefore would need to manually account code and invoice verification, post to a clearing account in FI for re-class to material or charge to internal order with settlement to material or something like this.
I would just make sure that the PO print makes sense in terms of being able to see the freight charge and maybe the vendor name or something (look at the standard SAP PO form to see what the best practice is).

I Need to create more options on Cisco ACS 5.2 under internal identity store in users. please help how to do add, default not showing all.
i have seen on internet. attaching doc.
    Regards
    MR

To create additional attributes for internal users do the following:
    - go to System Administration > Configuration > Dictionaries > Identity > Internal Users
    - Press Create to define the additional attributes you require
    For each attribute can
    - define the type
    - give a default value. This will be applied to all existing users and appear as default when new user is created
    - indicate whether the attribute is required and must be defined for each user
    - define a policy condition. If define such a condition will appear as an option when customize rules in a policy

  • Can't see USB printer option in Cisco Connect

Just fired up an e4200 router and was realy easy and everything working great HOWEVER I can a Canon MP490 printer that I have connected to the router via USB and Cisco Connect is only showing Wireless Printers as a connection option!!
I am on a MAC using OS X 10.7, have Cisco Connect Version 1.4 (12005.2) and the firmware updated today.
    Any ideas?

The Windows version has an option for "Printers" that leads to options for a wireless printer and a USB printer after Cisco Connect Installation where as in Mac you will get the only option for wireless. Since, Cisco Connect does not have an added feature of providing USB printing with the MAC OX.

  • FCoE options for Cisco UCS and Compellent SAN

    Hi,
We have a Dell Compellent SAN storage with iSCSI and FCoE module in pre-production environment.
It is connected to new Cisco UCS infrastructure (5108 Chassis with 2208IOM + B200 M2 Blades + 6248 Fabric Interconnect) via 10G iSCSI module (FCoE module isn't being used at th is moment).
I reviewed compatibility matrix on interconnect but Compellent (Dell) SAN is only supported on FI NXOS 1.3(1), 1.4(1) without using 6248 and 2208 IOM which is what we have. I'm sure some of you have similar hardware configuration as ours and I'd like to see if there's any supportive Cisco FC/FCoE deployment option for the Compellent. We're pretty tight on budget at this moment so purchasing couple of Nexus 5K switches or something equipvalent for such a small number of chassis (only only have one) is not a preferred option. If additional hardware acquisition is inevitable, what would be the most cost effective solution to be able to support FCoE implementation?
Thank you in advance for your help on this.

Unfortunatly there isn't really one - with direct attach storage there is still the requirement that an upstream MDS/N5k pushes the zoning to it.  Without a MDS to push the zoning the system it's recommended for production.

Even if you had a MDS/N5K the 6248/2208's wouldn't support the Compellent SAN - see note 9.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/mds9000/interoperability/matrix/Matrix8.pdf
That's not to say that it won't work, it's just that we haven't tested it and don't know what it will do and thus TAC cannot troubleshoot SAN errors on the UCS.
On the plus side iSCSI if setup correctly can be very solid and can give you a great amount of throughput - just make sure to configure the QoS correctly and if you need more throughput then just add some additional links

  • Is there any option on Cisco Unified CM Administration 9.1.1 to show caller ID number when using MOBILITY option?

    Dear All,
I am using Cisco Unified CM Administration 9.1.1 and MOBILITY works fine.
However  when somebody calls from external phone number into internal user number and MOBILITY option is ON and obviously, forwards the call for the user's cell.....in this case user can see only main company number, but not a caller number.
So, is there any option to change it?
    Thank you

Go to the GW and run some debugs to find out exactly what you're sending, chances are, your telco is overwriting the original called number as it's nor part of your DID range.

  • Antenna Options for Cisco 1941w router

    Hi All,
I have a 1941w router which I would like to extend the 3 MIMO antennas as the unit is installed in our comms cabinet.
Really need help in choosing the correct antenna for this unit, if possible as well as extending the length increase the gain for better reception, been looking at 3x AIR-ANT1728 but these only run at 2.4GHz where the 1941w has both 2.4 and 5GHz.
If anyone has any information for me I would be most grateful.
    Thanks

I take this back.  Maybe the newly-released AIR-ANT2547V-N might work.  You need to investigate it out because I have no other information other than the product number.

    Hi Ali,
We currently have a two-node deployment running 1.1.3.124, as depicted in diagram:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.2/upgrade_guide/b_ise_upgrade_guide_chapter_010.html#ID89
    Question 1:
After step 1 is done, node B becomes the new primary node.
What's the license impact at that stage, when the license is mainly tied to node A, the previous primary PAN?
Step 3 says to obtain a new license that's tied to both node A & node B, as if it's implying an issue would arise, if we leave node B as the primary PAN, instead of reverting back to node A.
    =========
    Question 2:
When step 1 is completed, node B runs 1.2, while node A runs 1.1.3.124.
Do both nodes still function as PSN nodes, and can service end users at that point? (before we proceed to step 2)
Both nodes are behind our ACE load balancer, and I'm trying to confirm the behavior during the upgrade, to determine when to take each node out of the load balancing serverfarm, to keep the service up and avoid an outage.
    ===========
    Question 3:
According to the upgrade guide, we're supposed to perform a config backup from PAN & MnT nodes.
Is the config backup used only when we need to rollback from 1.2 to 1.1.3, or can it be used to restore config on 1.2?
It also says to record customizations & alert settings because after  the upgrade to 1.2, these settings would change, and we would need to  re-configure them.
Is this correct? That's a lot of screen shots we'll need to take; is there any way to avoid this?
    It says: "
Disable services such as Guest, Profiler, Device Onboarding, and so on before upgrade and enable them after upgrade. Otherwise, you must add the guest users who are lost, and devices must be profiled and onboarded again."
Exactly how do you disable services? Disable all the authorization policies?

    ==================
    Question 4:
The 1.1 user guide says the maximum number of nodes in a node group was 4.
The 1.2 guide now says the maximum is 10.
Is there a hard limit on how many nodes can be in a node group?
We currently don't use node group, due to the lack of multicast support on the ACE-20.
Is it a big deal not to have one?

  • CNR 6.1.2 request bufffers incrementing until it reaches 500

Hi, We are running Cisco CNR 6.1.2  build #6.1.2.0501131448 and this has been very reliable for over 5 years, just recently in the last 4 weeks have began experiencing a problem where the DHCP server will stop issuing leases in response to discovers. A reload of the dhcp application fixes the problem.
In troubleshooting I see in the name_dhcp_1_log where during normal operation the log indicates that the request buffers have 2 or 3 in use at any one time. I will see a DHCP DISCOVER, or REQUEST come in and at the end of the entry it will show "3 in use" or "2 in use" and toggles between 2 and 3, then _something_ occurs and I begin to see the DISCOVER, and REQUEST entries will indicate that the buffers "in use" is incrementing... "4 in use" 5 in use" etc, until at some point the server will stop serving out leases in response to those DISCOVERS and REQUESTS. The request buffer size is set to 500 ( default) and the response buffer is set to 1000 ( default to twice the size of request buffer) and ultimately the log entries will indicate that the buffers in use will continue to increment until it reaches 500.
Again, this application has been running silently fo over 5 years without this issue, I dont know if some recent DHCP activity is causing this problem, or if it is some recent corruption to the CNR application, or a problem with the OS ( running solaris 8 )
Has anyone see anything similar, or have any ideas on what I might check?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Check out this known bug:
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsf98245
    Release-note:
    ===
In the event that a lease to a client is denied because the server is configured to use
limitation-counts, and the limitation-count for this limitation-id (i.e., subscriber) has
been exceeded and there is no over-limit-client-class, then if (and only if) there is a
dhcp-requested-address option in the request packet and the IP address specified is not
configured in the same Network as the giaddr specified in the DHCPDISCOVER, then the DHCP
server will not properly release the request packet after it concludes the processing.
Eventually the DHCP server will use up all of its configured request packets and will
    hang.
This will result in an increasing "in-use" count in the activity summary and in the
incoming-requests log message (number 04619).  This problem can only occur if message
number 05646 appears, but it will not always occur when this message appears. It will only
occur when message 05646 appears and when the dhcp-requested-address option also contains
an IP address not in the current Network configuration.
The workaround for this problem is to give the client-class which contains the
limitation-id an over-limit-client-class, and to also ensure that  the
over-limit-client-class specifies a selection-criteria that does not exist in any scope.
This will cause the packet to be dropped, not because there is no overlimit client-class
(message number 05646) but because there are no scopes which satisfy the criterion
specified in the over-limit-client-class (message number 04441).
Fixed in 6.1.6. HTH. Else a TAC case might be warranted.

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.2.6 (setting registry keys)

    All,
I would like to be able to set the general option for Cisco Jabber to force the client to, "Start Ciso Jabber when my computer starts" option.  Is this a registry setting I can force?  I'd also like to force calendar intergration with Microsoft Outlook by default as well.  We are using SCCM to push Jabber via RAP.  Are these registry settings HKCU or HKLM?  Thanks Phillip

    Hi Phillip,
you may find more details on Installation and Configuration guide how to set Start_Client_On_Start_OS parameter in jabberConfig file.
Keep in mind that values set in JabberlocalConfig.xml have presedence over value set in jabberConfig.xml file from TFTP server.

  • Outbound Call in Cisco Finesse

Anybody please help what all configuration to be done in Finesse to do the outbound calls.
I am using Cisco UCCX 10.0, in which i have both the option for Cisco CAD and Finesse. When i run a outbound campaign its coming as an incoming call in Finesse.
When i answer the call, its showing the error "Unable to communicate with Enterprise Server. Outbound option not available".
Please help how to enable the outbound controls in Finesse

This is ineed the case, from RN (somewhat cryptic :-) ):
    Cisco Finesse
Cisco Finesse is the next generation browser-based agent and supervisor desktop for Unified CCX. Finesse is an alternative to Cisco Agent Desktop, Cisco Supervisor Desktop, and Cisco Desktop Administrator. Finesse is available with Enhanced and Premium license packages and provides typical inbound voice contact center functionality. It supports Unified Communications Manager-based silent monitoring and workflow-based recording with MediaSense and Work Force Optimization (WFO).

  • Cisco UCS with FEX system Component requirements

    Hi ,
I am looking for quick suggestion for required components to have a VMware vSAN implemented using FEX system with maximum Fabric trough put. Ideally a configuration for without multipath using single Fabric switch and later on to be able to upgrade to Multipath fabric.
We are in great rush to provide POC concept and was looking if you folks can suggest me on this. If need be you want to talk to me more in detail I can available.
    Appreciate your help here.
Who can I reach to able to pull up build and quote the configurations for implementing complete UCS solution.
Are these below components absolutely required ?
    2 x Nexus 2232PP 10GE Fabric Extenders
The Cisco Nexus 2232PP 10GE provides 32 x 10Gb loss-less low latency Ethernet and Fiber Channel Over Ethernet (FCoE) Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus (SFP+) server ports and eight 10 Gb Ethernet and FCoE SFP+ uplink ports in a compact 1 rack unit (1RU) form factor. They enable Seamless inclusion of UCS rack servers into UCS Manager domain with UCS blade servers when connected to the UCS 6200 Fabric Interconnects, providing converged LAN, SAN, and management connectivity.
We currently have these below servers :
    2 x  UCSC-BASE-M2-C460
            524 GB RAM
            No SSDs
            No VIC Card
            4 x SAS 1 TB Drives
            1 x L1 Intel 1 Gbps Ethernet Adapter
            1 x L2 10Gbps Ethernet Adapter
1 x LSI Mega RAID SAS 9240-8i (no RAID 5 support, Need a card that supports RAID5)
    1 x  UCSC-C240-M3L
            132 GB RAM
            30 TB SAS HDD
            1 x VIC Card
1 x Intel I350 Gigabit Ethernet Card with 4 ports
1 x LSI Mega RAID SAS 9240-8i (no RAID 5 support, Need a card that supports RAID5)
1 x 5548UP Nexus Switch ( Will I be able to use this switch in place of Nexus 2232PP 10GE Fabric Extenders to achieve complete UCS solution)

Cisco UCS Manager 2.2 supports an option to connect the C-Series Rack-Mount Server directly to the Fabric Interconnects. You do not need the Fabric Extenders. This option enables Cisco UCS Manager to manage the C-Series Rack-Mount Servers using a single cable for both management traffic and data traffic.
If you need high performance low latency (storage, for VMware VSAN), direct connection to UCS Fabric Interconnect and/or N5k is recommended.
