  • Ora-03113 error with XMLTABLE inside subquery or view

    I'm getting ORA-03113 error if I use a result of XMLTABLE inside a subquery of another query (whether XMLTABLE is inline, or from a view). Code below to reproduce this - vastly simplified and now rather meaningless - but produces same error. Has anyone saw this error re. XMLTABLE or know of metalink bugs on this ? I couldn't find anything. I'm having to use deprecated table(xmlsequence) instead, which doesn't get this error.

    Go to the trace directory and find the relevant trace/incident file.
    On my system, I can see something like this :
    ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [evaopn3()+656] [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [ADDR:0x0] [PC:0x234A5B6] [UNABLE_TO_READ] []Copy/paste that line into the ORA-00600/ORA-07445 look-up tool on My Oracle Support and run the search for your version.
    You will find this article :
    *ORA-7445 (evaopn3) [ID 860969.1]*
    and at the bottom of the page, among the known related bugs, this one :

  • Ora-01008 error with bind variable

    Hi,
    We have a test program which have one bind variable on a column which is varchar2(20), in the test program we've passed a 20 character string to the variable. The program returns error in one of the databases but all others are successful. We've checked the column is same in all of them.
    Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01008: not all variables bound
    Could you please advise how to troubleshoot this issue?
    Regards

    We aren't going to be able to help you if you won't post the database code that is giving the error.
    And now we need the Java code that is constructing the query that you are using.
    Your error is saying there is a second variable that you are not providing a value for.
    And you said
    >
    We have a test program which have one bind variable on a column which is varchar2(20), in the test program we've passed a 20 character string to the variable.
    >
    But you are using a string that is 23 characters long

  • ORA-19279 error extracting one-to-many sequence

    I have an xml table built from a registered schema that I'm trying to extract data from using a view. The lowest level is a polygon with multiple vertices -- vertices number, latitude, and longitude. The xml file lists data as
    POLYGON
    SEQ_NUM
    LAT
    LON
    SEQ_NUM
    LAT
    LON
    SEQ_NUM
    LAT
    LON
    /POLYGON
    The method I use to extract the data returns an ORA-19279 error: "XQuery dymanic type mismatch: expected singleton sequence - got multi-item sequence." The error is pointing to the polygon data; however the polygon sequence tag in the xsd file has the attribute of maxOccurs="unbounded".

I can remark out the bottom level (h_level) and the statement runs returning 8 rows from the xml file above (which is correct). The h_level XMLTABLE reference returns the ORA-19279 error. The full statement should return 20 rows of data.

    Yes. I looked at that string.

  • ORA-12154 & ORA-12514 errors with Net8

    Can anyone help me with getting Net8 to run?
    On 8.0.5 I was able to get my Windows front-ends to run using the "0-Configuration" option for Net8 - using Host Names.
    I have been roundly unsuccessful in trying to get this to work with 8i, and now I am deeply embroiled in TNSNAMES configuration with total lack of success and ever increasing frustration.
    Has anyone successfully overcome this type of error with 8i to successfully access the database from a Windows client?

    John,
    Apologies for the cyber-silence. I only get to work on this stuff evenings and weekends, and this weekend was work instead :-(
    As this whole area of network and database configuration is one of ritual and superstition for me, rather than clinical science I decided to go back in time and re-install 8.0.5 - which works fine for the Host Naming approach. I grabbed the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora (yes, I know it doesn't apply - but, as I said, I'm superstitious) and brought them back to the present (changing a couple of things where necessary - e.g. 8.0.5 => 8.1.5).
    Unfortunately that didn't work either. Then I recreated my 8i database and made the global db name and instance name exactly the same as the hostname. This time it worked! Not a very general solution (and I have no idea which part of the solution cracked it or me) but I am sticking with it for now!
    Just for the record here are the new (old?) configuration files:
    sqlnet.ora:

    BTW - in other posts on this forum you keep whingeing about your job. Are things still that bad Down Under that there are no suitable alternatives there? I was hoping to return to the Lucky Country some time soon, but I want to be sure that the economy and job market is viable first. Anyway, thanks for your help and Good Luck!

  • ORA-29902 error with CONTAINS()

    Hello,
    I have trouble using the CONTAINS() function on an indexed document.
    I created the index with
    create index ikenndatenTextIndex
    on kenndaten_as_column_500 x (kenndaten)
    indextype is ctxsys.context
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    with Result:
    Index created
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    where the column "kenndaten" contains XMLType Documents
    Now, typing in isqlplus:
    select extract(x.kenndaten,'/kenndaten/schlagworte')
    from kenndaten_as_column_500 x
    WHERE CONTAINS(kenndaten,'$("taken") INPATH (/kenndaten/schlagworte)') > 0;
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    gets the desired result:
    EXTRACT(X.KENNDATEN,'/KENNDATEN/SCHLAGWORTE')
    <schlagworte>group an corporate the taken </schlagworte>
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Here is the Problem:
    If I do not look for "taken" but for "was":
    select extract(x.kenndaten,'/kenndaten/schlagworte')
    from kenndaten_as_column_500 x
    WHERE CONTAINS(kenndaten,'$("was") INPATH (/kenndaten/schlagworte)') > 0;
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    I get:
    select extract(x.kenndaten,'/kenndaten/schlagworte')
    ERROR at line 1:

    Using {was} instead of "was", typing \w\a\s or simply using ...CONTAINS(kenndaten,'$(was) INPATH...

    I have no problem looking for words like "and","or","inpath" and the like
    Any ideas?

  • Multiple charts with one Query - how to?

    Hi Experts,
    I  wanted to display mulitple charts from the one query in Bex analyzer or WAD. Each chart should be constructed from the data of each column returned from the query. So if the no. of columns in the query is 5  then there should be 5 charts generated. No of columns will be variable. How to achieve it ?? Any idea?
    All kinds of suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks
    Regards
    AB

    Hi Priya,
    Thanks for your response. Actually the infomation is of technical in nature. Its about processes and the parts. Rows represents  parts and columns represent processes. The processes are variable and can be added any time in query.Based on the Query there should be automation of charts. So there is an analysis per process/parts with a single chart. So if the processes are increasing , the automation should also add a chart....thats what the requirement says. So if I have 10 process that I shd get 10 charts and if 15 afterwards then 15....
    I hope now its clear to you.Do suggest if u have any idea.
    Regards

  • Strange Gateway Error with one APP Server (WSAETIMEDOUT)

    Hello Everyone,
    We are experiencing a strange gateway timeout issue on one application server in our SAP environment.  This started happening after we applied a series of Microsoft patches and updated the SAP kernals from 179 (DB 172) to 185 (DB 182).
    From this App server we are seeing all kinds of gateway errors, the following is a sample from the dev_rd file from the server in question:

    I have done alot of searching and I have tried the following things:
    1) Checked the services file of this machine, they line up with all other systems
    2) Attempted to telnet to other App servers on 3200, 3300, 3600 with no success
    3) tried to connect via SM59 to another App server with no success
    4) Attempted to do all of these things in reverse from the another app server with the same results.
    This is only happening with one app server in our landscape and this app server has no issues connecting to the CI.
    Any ideas on where I can look further?

    Hi,
    on sappe1exp5  try the following command in a dos prompt:
    telnet sappe1exp4 sapgw00
    this should also time out i.e. hang for a certain amount of time (~50 seconds) and then terminate with error.
    It simply means that the IP address 10.10.0.21 is not reachable from your client PC.
    Maybe you changed some IP addresses during patches. Usually there is an RFC destination that is not functioning properly.
    Best regards

  • Ora-12560 error with 8.1.7 under win2k

    I have installed 8.1.7. on windows 2ooo. The install went
    successfully and immediately after the install i could connect
    with scott/tiger.
    After a short period of time I can no longer connect and receive
    the ora-12560 error. The system has not been rebooted or even
    touched during this time period. I have removed the database
    with dbassist and recreated. Again it works for 5 mins and
    stops.
    When I look at tsnrctl status all looks great. Under services
    the tnslistener is working properly. I can do a tnsping as well.
    I just cannot connect to the database.
    Please help!

    Dan Hoover An ORA-12560 WinNT is usually an indication that
    the OS system/environment is not set up correctly.
    You don't need a listener when you connect locallay without alias
    name (sqlplus scott/tiger@alias).
    Please try the following:
    - start cmd box
    - set ORACLE_HOME = <your home>
    - set ORACLE_SID = <your SID>
    - sqlplus scott/tiger

  • 5 reports with one query ....?

    Hi Guys,
    We  are on BI 7 and ECc 6...In one of our MM Report requirements we have one report with 5 work books ...i.e,
    The report is a set of 5 reports with the same selection criteria with different Key figures.
    All these reports can be separate work sheets in a workbook or displayed in multiple table items in a Web report
    So , I have made one Query with all the Key Figures...and saved it...Now my question is Do I need to create 5 queries for this / 1 query is ok ?I didnt understand how to finish this...We have all the fields that we need for 5 reports in this query...
    Can  any one advice on this
    regards

    Hi,
    U can also create structures of 1query and save, then similarly create 4 remainign strucutres,,so totally u hv 5structures for 1query, (Instead of maintaining a workbuk)
    u can compare the data thru excel.

  • ORAOLEDB:Ora-2005 error with ADO command object

    Hello,
    I am using adodb.command object
    to make few insert queries in database.
    Provider is oledbora.oracle.
    Something like,
    vb sample code:
    dim varr(52)
    varr(1) = ----
    varr(2) = -----
    adodb.commandtext = xxxxxx
    call adodb.execute(,varr)
    I am receiving ora-2005 error.
    (implicit (-1) length not allowed)
    ###**** Interesting fact is, same piece
    of code is working with msdaora provider.
