ORA-20001: Invalid parsing schema for current workspace ID

I recently upgraded Apex version from 4.0 to 4.2 successfully. Everything looks good except in one of the applications, I am running into
ORA-20001: Invalid parsing schema for current workspace ID ( see below for detailed debug info). It seems this page region code is still looking at
old apex scehma APEX_040000 instead of APEX_040200 somehow. Any ideas.

  • Error - Invalid parsing schema for current workspace id

    Hello,
Users logging into an application occasionally get a strange error: ORA-20104: create_collection_from_query_b Error:ORA-20001: Invalid parsing schema for current workspace ID.
The error occurs during a post authentication process. Does anyone know what could cause these in general or why it might only occur during the first login of the day?

    Scott,
Today the error mentioned in the last post occurred 3 times - the highest number in a single day yet. Also, to add to the dilemma, a new one occurred:
    ORA-20104: create_collection_from_query_b Error:ORA-20101: Application collection exists
Knowing that the create collection process is called from a post authentication process I don't see how that the collection could exist for that session... Any ideas?

  • Invalid parsing schema for current workspace ID

I have an application that captures different SQL statements (they make use of DB links) and dynamically executes them on demand.
I use apex collections to get the result rows for the SQL and use them to both query on the UI as well as send out emails using the returned data. This is all OK and works fine.
I then added another feature to my application where I support the scheduling of the running the SQL / sending out of the emails. It uses the same logic as I use from within the application but it fails with the following error ...
Invalid parsing schema for current workspace ID
when the SQL is being used to populate the collection.
The scheduling is done using the apex plsql job scheduling package. It's as though the context that the job is running in is different from that of the application I created. The strange thing is that it can still see my tables that I created as the queries return data from my tables but for some reason seems to have an issue with the use of apex collections.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

May be try exporting you restful webservice definition > Edit the export file in textpad/notepad and verify the parsing schema
You will see a block something like below, there just amend the p_parsing_schema to desired > and then import it back
    wwv_flow_api.create_restful_module (

  • "ORA-20001: Invalid action CREATE on this object. (U)"

I have a page where data are inserted in my procedure.
<br>This procedure assign "PXX_ID" which is a key from that table.
After that I use "Automatic Row Processing (DML)" with check only on UPDATE", to fill other fields that are not filled in my INSERT procedure. This process is defined with "PXX_ID" which is reassigned (not as it was when page was submitted - before my insert).
<br>SAVE process, which is only calling this DML is working perfectly. My procedure is inserting new record also. But together they are not working. What I want is to use this process for changing data (SAVE button) and for INSERT part also.
<br>Now I get this error "ORA-20001: Invalid action CREATE on this object. (U)"...any help on this?
<br>If problem is that I'm reassigning value of "PXX_ID" then please let me give some hint how to make this if possible using DML processes...
<br>If the solution is to put all fields in INSERT part and use this DML only for changes, let me know. All I need is some hints to understand more this error!
    <br>P.S.
<br>I have tried to recreate new process ... but no help.
    <br>P.S. II
<br>I cannot sent app on WORKSPACE (too much work to do)...but I can send page export.
    <br>THX!

This is caused because you have only checked the UPDATE option in the Automatic Row Processing(DML). By unselected the other options you are basically saying they aren't allowed. In order to get around this you need to put a conditional clause on the process. I would use something like if rowid = null then use my insert process. If rowid is not null then use the Automatic Row Processing(DML).

the text of the error message is pretty self explanatory .. it couldn't find the control file.
The control files are specified by the "control_files"  initialilzation paramter.  When you get this error, the instance has started but was unable to mount the control file.  since the init file (spfile) was processed and the instance started you can easily see what it thinks are the control files.

  • Dashboard refresh - ORA-24373 invalid length specified for statement

    Post Author: Reesy
CA Forum: Performance Management and Dashboards
I am getting the following error message in the log file "ORA-24373: invalid length specified for statement" when trying to refresh a metric via dashboard manager. The metric has been successfully refreshed previously. The only change that I am aware of is that more data has been added to the underlying database (Oracle 10g).
There are a number of different filters on the metric - some work ok - some give the above error.
    Can anyone help?

  • Invalid database schema for product hyperion reporting and analysis

I tried to re-configure the BI core service to a new database
But I get the message "invalid database schema for product hyperion reporting and analysis"
The database is a restore of a production backup on a different MSSQL2005 server.
I can not believe its really a sql schema matter.
    Does anyone know whats wrong?

You cannot restore a BI+ database from backup...It is somewehere in the doc. There a re lots of references to the old server and config in the BI+ tables and you d need to edit/remove some files on the file server too. There is a doc available to do that but its far from simple.
Best way is to export the content of your repository, configure a new DB and then reimport the content.
If you re really stuck, drop me an email and ill send you that doc. I think ive still got it.

  • How to change parsing schema for using application in test environment?

    Hi,
I set up a test environment, i.e. an other Oracle schema with identical tables, views etc. to the productive environment. I wanted to duplicate the APEX application so that there will be a test version using the test Oracle schema and productive version using the productive oracle schema.
Can some one please give me some tip how to do this? As far as I see i could change the parsing schema in the APEX Application install SQL in the following ways:
    1. While exportin the application with APEX
    2. In the result install f...sql file using search-replace
    3. While importing the APEX application via APEX Development GUI.
I would prefere 1. or 3. but in both cases when I would like to change the schema name, the drop dowl list does not contain the test Oracle schema name. Do I have to grant something to the APEX worksspace schema for the test schema name to show up in the drop dowl list?
    Tamás

    On that screen,
    - click Create
    - select "Existing" Schema, click Next
    - select the Workspace, click Next
    - select the Schema, click Next
    - click Add Schema
And now you'll end up with two schema's attached for the same Workspace.

    a) Is there a password file ? Is the password correct in it ?
    b) SYSDBA remote login is disabled. remote_login_passwordfile is not set to EXCLUSIVE in the spfile or init.ora.
    Set: remote_login_passwordfile= EXCLUSIVE
    Create a password file:

  • Multiple schema for a  (workspace) user

If I use XE and create a database user from the homepage/admin as system I get ( compared to an HTMLDB2.0 instance in an SE/EE-environment) a user with its workspace (the admin for this workspace). This user has his own schema and if he is logged in he can create application-users (HTMLDB-Users in this workspace).
    (1) But how can I add more than one schema to this workspace?
I create a user TEST as system. got user TEST with schema TEST.
I have a database schema (only database schema) DEMO and want assign this so that the (htmldb)User TEST can create applications based on the schema DEMO (thats possible in HMLDB2.0 with SE/EE).

    Thanks dietmar -
I believed thats an restriction - but want to get an official statment from development... -> SCOTT?
I know the basic workaround and then have to consider any changes in the mixed structure.
It makes sense to have data separated in different schemas and have only one workspace for bundling different applications, because of same securityInterface,
UserInterfaceDefaults... (easy delivering for departments, customers).
If the restriction exist (for newbies makes it easier to understand htmldb&oracle),
    we have to accept.
