You NEXT clause is seriously dependent on the date and time you run the create statement. For me, you want the next run of the job to start almost 15 hours ago.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes my phone can connect to the Android market. When I perform a search for Firefox on the market, it only shows up books, no apps. When I type in http/fennec etc (correctly), I get a screen showing "Index of/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/latest/android/multi", with 2 choices underneath - a "Parent Directory" and one with a ? So I have selected the one with the ? It showed "downloading" for a few seconds, then returned to the "Index etc" menu. There is nothing new on my phone - certainly not Firefox.
Not sure what to do now, but thanks for your suggestion.

I downloaded Thunderbird for my Mac for one single purpose, simpy to be able to send an email by executing the time and date i wish my email to be send, automatically. The extension saves the message to draft and monitors the messages in the draft folder, when the chosen time arrives it moves the message to unsent and sends unsent messages. So i can send messages in the future.
I dont know how to manage this, and i would appreciate help and tutorials from you guys!

Getting the current time and comparing it to a time in the future

I am seeing in my research some debate on the best way to get the time. I am reading that just using the Date class and calling getTime() is not the most reliable way to do things. Overall, I am trying to get the current time down to the millisecond. I then want to add 5 seconds to that time and then store that value. FInally, when the current time is greater or equal to this stored value, I want to continue on in my program. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to calculate the time variable? Any help would be much appreciated. I am new to the JAVA world.

To store the current time, simply use new java.util.Date(). Yes, there might be slight inconsistencies and it might not be the most accurate time possible, but without significant additional effort (perhaps a native O/S call or the use of another time library), you will not do much better. Calendar won't help in this instance either. The easiest way to get five seconds in the future is to do the following:
Date now = new Date();
Date future = new Date(now.getTime() + 5000);To store and retrieve the value, it depends on what you are doing. You can place it in the database via JDBC (BTW, if you trust the database timestamp more than Java's you can use something like Oracle's SYSDATE instead of Java's date in your SQL query). You can place it in the filesystem. You can store it in the user's session.

That's strange because by using the built-in Contacts and Calendars applications you effectively are working directly with the data on the server as all the master data is stored on the server regardless of where you access it from.
In theory, using a native client that communicates directly with the data on the server via CardDAV or CalDAV should be much more reliable than going through a website pretending to be CalDAV /CardDAV client.

I'd like to save the URLs of the group of pages tabbed in one particular FF window to be reloaded en masse when I use FF again some time in the future

I have a lot of browser tabs currently and I will not have finished using them by the time I next reboot, shutting down Firefox. On the other hand there are too many to fit neatly in one FF window so I've opened a 2nd window and moved a bunch over. Now I want to know how I can make sure FF will remember all the tab URLs when I start it again - and how I can be sure it will load them up in separate windows as presently. Because I have a feeling it will just dump them all in the one window. But there's too many to make that useful! On Opera you can save a 'session' with a particular selection of tabbed URLs, under a particular name, and then reload that session later. You can even start up several past sessions as separate windows at the same time. In that way you can select which groups of previous tabs you want to recall when. I'd like that in Firefox but I can't see anything to create it. :) What will happen for instance when I close the two current windows before rebooting? I suspect I will lose the record of the URLs in the window that is closed first, and only those of the 2nd to be recalled will come back when re-starting it. Basically there needs to be a "Save Group of Tabs" option on the File menu near "Save Page As...". On the other hand maybe this facility already exists and I just don't know how to find it?

Depends what you mean by "in"!! I know the photos are in the folders that I have created.

AFAIK there is no easy (pure java) way: either you exec something (depending on your paltform) or use native code. Appropriate privileges will be necessary.

Not able to terminate an Emp, Error: The person must exist as an employee at the time specified by Date Start

We are sourcing Employee records from upstream system and the Effective_start_date for particular record of Employee is getting changed, consider a below scenario.
EXISTING RECORD.
Person_id, effective_start_date,Effective_end_date, person_type

MODIFIED DRECORD

So when i am able to change the effective_start_date for 2nd record from 01-JUN-2001 to 15-MAY-2001 using an API "hr_person_api.update_person" with p_datetrack_update_mode as 'UPDATE_OVERRIDE'..
but after this when i am trying to terminate the employee using an API "hr_ex_employee_api.actual_termination_emp" for below scenario, i am getting the following error: "The person must exist as an employee at the time specified by Date Start".
For Termination:

We are trying to migrate an Oracle 8.1.7 database to an Oracle 9i(9.2) database. I moved all the database files to the appr folder and I created a new instance using:

ORA-10827: database must be opened with MIGRATE option.
How should one go about migrating a database(different versions). I went ahead with the migration. I opened the database using
alter database open resetlogs migrate.
But when i log into the database, I get an internal code error.
Any pointers?.

You must not open normally your database after an upgrade, in short the method is
1) startup migrate
2) run the upgrade script (which one depends on your old database version)

'alter database open resetlogs migrate' is only applicable to upgrades from version 7 to 9.2, hopefully your database is not corrupted now.

Ora-01790 Expression must have same datatype as correspoding expression

Can somebody help me how to fix this.
award_number is varchar2(30)
The problem is with award_name. Throwing an error.
Not sure why it is giving problem.

it has not resolved my problem. Still the problem is there. if i remove award_name it is working fine. only problem with award_name
