  • Ora- 3135 , connection timeout

    Hi Experts,
    I'm having a 2 node RAC, 11.2.0.3 on AIX.
I'm facing a strange scenario. The application is  trying to connect from  apps server using sqlplus  to the database.
    I have 2 schemas, say schema1 and schema2. I can connect successfully using schema1.
But I'm getting Ora-3135 when i try to connect as schema2.
I tried to bounce the entire RAC database , listener , but it didnt help...
Could you please let me know where could the connection be timing out ?  any locks issue ?

    Check your sqlnet.ora file.
If required, increase the value of the expire_time parameter in the sqlnet.ora file.
    If you still face problems,
set parameters sqlnet.inbound_connect_timeout and inbound_connect_timeout_listenername to ZERO (0).

  • Internal error ORA-3135 and huge udump

I don't know if this should be addressed here in this forum rather then metalink, but anyway I will try.
I get an internal error and a huge udump trace-file (2 Gb), the situation is that I created a view with a reference to a package function in the where clause which causes the DB-engine to this internal error exach time I want to select from this view.
Now, the trace-file which is created is 2Gb, and I show hereby the first lines:

During creation of the tracefile the machine on which the DB works is busy with oracle taking up 99% of CPU and is hardly operable.
I could upload a zipped version of the trace file (still 50MB) but it doesn't contain a lot different info than the above subtract.
The error is consistent in that way that it is recurring each time I select form the view.
    Can U help?

Found it, thread can be closed.
The problem was caused by a recursive call in a package body.

  • Informatica and sometimes i have ora-3135

    hello gurus,
when i download/upload data from database production to my datawarehouse, i receive ora-3135 then i suppose it is timeout problem.

2 - how may i see the session which are stopped by timeout ?
3 - maybe i may set up my parameter in the sqlnet or listener INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_LISTENER =0 ?
    what do you think ?

  • Exception:ORA-20002: 3136: Item 'LOGSYNCH/#SYNCH' cannot be accessed ...

    hi ,
I am getting the following exception .
ORA-20002: 3136: Item 'LOGSYNCH/#SYNCH' cannot be accessed while synchronous process in progress.
Any pointers please .It is urgent.
    Regards

    Hi,
What is the context? What is the code trying to do?
It looks like there might be something that is trying to access information about the process from the database, even though the process is running synchronously - there is no data persisted in the database for it to access.

    Hi,
Please check Oracle support id : Troubleshooting ORA-3135 Connection Lost Contact (Doc ID 787354.1)

  • System hangs; ORA-03135: connection lost contact

    Hi,
Our training system has been getting hung quite frequently where all the dialog work processes are being held and not released.  The only way to resolve it is to forcefully reboot the server at OS level (while SAP & Oracle is in a hung state).
From "dpmon" at OS level, I can see that most of the DIA process is held by the following programs mainly in client 000.
    - SAPMSYST
    - SAPMSSY2
    - SAPMSDYP
    - SAPLSMTR
    - RSRALLG0
    - SAPLV00F
Also in SM21, I can see ORA-3135 error.  Are these 2 issues interrelated?
I am not able to find more info in ST11 under the specified work process number.  Oracle alert log also doesn't show anything.
How do I find out what's happening to the system and catch the "culprit"?
    Can anyone advise?
    Thanks
Edited by: Sisab Nimda on Jul 15, 2010 3:46 PM

Are all processes used by user SAPSYS?...
If thats the case Read  Note 1153975 - All work processes are used by the user SAPSYS

  • ORA-03135 (connection lost contact) DB link

    Hi all,
We get ORA-02068 and ORA-03135 (connection lost contact) errors when we test a database link to a remote oracle database.. We get this error with the DBA user ( no problem with SYS ) .. There is no matching Connection ID in the client/server trace files..

    Ora-3135 ORA-2019 ORA-2058 ORA-2068 ORA-2050: Failed Distributed Transactions [ID 1012842.102]

  • Terminating Database along with its Oracleservice (Win2008R2sp1)

My database terminated silently (nothing in logs) along with its Oracleservice everytime update run that performed via database link. When this update performed locally - nothing wrong happens.
Works flawless on test environment with the same software and hardware.
Here - EXPDP Terminating Database along with its Oracleservice (WIN 2003k ) - removing antivirus helped. But in my case no antivirus on the server. And a lot of memory and processors.
On client side error "ORA-03135: connection lost contact" appeared. I tried to run quiery via database link from diffrent servers, including other database on the same server.
    Please, give any ideas.

    Hello;
I might look at the SQLNET.ORA file on both servers
    Try setting these :
    SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT=120
    SQLNET.SEND_TIMEOUT = 300
    SQLNET.RECV_TIMEOUT = 300
Make sure you restart the LISTENERS.
I'd look at this first :
ORA - 03135 : connection lost contact while shipping from Primary Server to Standby server [ID 739522.1]
I once work with an SE who we called "The human firewall". It was always the firewall until proven otherwise.
    And then this :
Troubleshooting ORA-3135 Connection Lost Contact [ID 787354.1]
Have you looked at this ?

  • Errors in archive shipping in a standby environment 10.2.0.4

    Hi,
I've problem with a standby configuration with real time apply. For month everything works fine, then one day the log shipping from primary to standby fails with error 3135 and sometimes with 1041 and 12571. There's no change in the configuration.

These errors appears only sometimes, for days everything works fine and then the error appears again. I've opened a metalink request 8 weeks ago but up to now there's no solution. This error affects my production environment, so I'll hope someone of you have an idea. Thanks for your help.
    Regards
    Markus

Is any firewall exist between the two servers? If yes, then any recent change and if not then can you try setting up "USE_SHARED_SOCKET=TRUE" in windows registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE). if you're using multiple homes then choose the right one. Documents say that this is not for Oracle 10g, but I faced ORA-3135 and it got resolved by using this.
N.B. Don't forget to restart the server after the change.

    S.K.

  • Error when updating FW 1.1.2 to 1.2

i ve got a problem when i try to update my 5G 30GB iPod from FW 1.1.2 to 1.2.
It always stops almost immediately after clicking the update button in iTunes 7 and says:
"Impossible to update your iPod, because it could not find the firmware".
What can I do? I also can not restore it, same error occurs. I reinstalled iTunes without effect, tried restarting the ipod and everything...
    thanks for any help!
