First recommendation is to upgrade your Oracle client as advised. If that's not possible - Toad is still tested and certified for Oracle releases all the way back to 7.3. But there are complications of course - as certain Oracle client versions cannot connect to some older databases. But your case here looks to be Toad specific. I think you should double check that Toad is pointing to the correct Oracle home for that client. The Toad connection screen offers the ability to look into that.

We have already restricted sql plus access by product_user_profile. Is there any other way to make sure toad or any other tool can be stopped from accesing the database.

Unable to connect using TOAD

Hi All,
I'm not able to connect to DB using TOAD. While connecting I'm getting the below error:
ora 01304 oracle not available
ora 27101 shared memory realm does not exist
linux-x86_64 error 2 no such file or directory
To resolve the above issue, I reloaded the listener. After reloading the listener I was able to connect to DB.
But after some I got the same error and wasn't able to connect.
Means when listerner is reloaded I'm able to connect but after some time getting the same issue. I'm not getting the reason why its happening.
Please advise.

When ever I try to connect the database through toad , I got this error 'Access violation at address 6761D581 in module 'ORA805.dll'. Read of address 00000010'. Please help me to resolve this issue.

ORA805.dll error when using DB Links

Hi
Every time I try to use a db link I get the following error: "Access violation at address 67690153 in module 'ORA805.dll'. Read of address 00000000" (using toad or sql plus)
Already try to use it in a simple query like: "select * from table@dblink" or even to create a new one but I always get the same error.
If I test the dblink in toad, the connection is successfully.
Database version is 9i.

If your database is 9i, you shouldn't have the central 8.0.5 dll on your system.
You need to investigate what is on your system and whether or not 8.0.5 dlls aren't first in your PATH.

im using TOAD v9.0 and Oracle 9i.. i also try to uninstall the TOAD v9.0 and install TOAD v8.5 but it also generates error..

even this tread already long long time ago... may be can give some solution for other person who have some problems now or in the future... :)
I try install oracle 10g database with character set AL32UTF8, and once finish configure the database I also encounter the same problems when try connect using toad 8, using client form6i,
the soultion is trying upgrade the oracle client at your computer, like 9i client and above, and that problems will be solve.
there is also other option that you can do, which is reinstall the database using other character set, I try install a new one, same database 10gR2 but the character set is WE8ISO8859P1, even still use the old client I can connect using TOAD 8 using form 6i client without any problems.... :)
since I'm not that an expert and only the beginner in using oracle, I'm not that sure what is the cause of that problems if the character set we use is AL32UTF8... may be someone or anyone who know can explain more?

Unable to Access BI InfoSet in Crystal Reports using SAP Info sets driver

I am looking to develop a report on top of BI InfoSet in Crystal Reports. However using the the SAP InfoSets driver I am only able to visualize 'Classic InfoSet' and 'SAP Query'. It does not show the option to import the regular InfoSet as a datasource. I am unable to access the InfoSet built by the db join on InfoCubes that is available in SAP BW System.

steps taken to configure(and results acheived)
1-users created locally on CUCM and Enabled for IM and Presence.
2-able to login to clients (CUPS7/8.6 and Jabber) but getting error Voicemail Error. The server has rejected the provided credentials. [1903]
in order to verify there is nothing wrong with the credentials...i checked on unity and i am sure it's the PIN(12345) i need to use .

It's not looking for your PIN - that is only used over DTMF-based interactions - it's looking for your CUC password. If the mailbox is synced from LDAP and you have LDAP Auth enabled on CUC, then this would be your AD password. If it's synced over AXL, not synced at all, or LDAP synced but without Auth, then there will be an alphanumeric password field on the mailbox under Edit > Change Passwords.

You'll need to install Flash Player 10.3.183.90, the last version supported for OS X 10.5.8. Download the archive zip file, http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_10.3.183.90_archive.z ip, and extract the contents. Then navigate inside the 10_3_r183_90 directory and use the file named flashplayer_10_3r183_90_mac_intel.dmg.

You can eirther I think go on ITunes or if you can get to settings you would just go to iCloud.

From what I understand is that the device will show up in iTunes but it will not allow you to synchronize media over to the device even after you reset the device. When you say you reset the device, do you mean you restored the device in iTunes? What error message you are getting when attempting to synchronize media?

30 pin adapte connected to what exactly?
Also iPads are not normal MP3 players, as such they don't have a regular file system the car media center can read to get music files.
You may be able to play the music through bluetooth if the car supports it. Or have the iPad send the music, but the Car media center will likely not be able to actually index the files in it.
