Oracle ATG - Login/Registration on Third Party

Hi,
I have a requirement where when a user comes on my Oracle ATG site i redirect him to third part web application for  the Login/Registration( third party web application screen).
How do i login/register him in ATG without storing his password in ATG database ?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Try with below steps.
1. Send user to third party login page with return URL(your application home page), In your application login link should be like http://thirdPartyDomain/login/?returnURL=yourAppHomePage
2. Third party application redirect to returnURL after authentication with a cookie in a request which tells authentication is successful/failure.
3. Create a pipeline component which include a JSP(login.jsp) using  RequestDispatcher rd = request.getRequestDispatcher("login.jsp"); rd.include(request, response);
4. login.jsp call a handleLoginWithThirdParty(req, res) of ProfileFormHandler by <dsp:setvalue bean="ProfileFormHandler.loginWithThirdParty" value="submit" />
5. handleLoginWithThirdParty call third party web service to get user data and update user profile with third party response and call handleLogin also.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks,

  • Sending data directly from BW To Oracle DW via Open hub Third party tools

    HI All
    We need to send data from SAP BW 7.0 to Oracle 11g DW. The requirement is to pass data through open hubs. So we wanted to explore the option of directly passing the data from BW to Oracle using third party tools. So i tried to gather information on the third party tools and came across list of APIs and some pointers on creating a RFC through SM59. But dont know how to do it or what parameters to pass. Could you please point me in the direction or list me step by step detailed instructions as to how I can achieve this?

    Hi Amit..
      I can see  the following  will make things work for  you.
    1) BODS.
    2) PI ( XI).
    3) BI7.0 to FTP and from FTP  you to push these tp  your oracle system..

  • About Oracle replication interface for the third-party programmer

    Hi,
    I want to construct a program like SharePlex from Quest software to provide the function of oracle replication. Somebody who knows how does the Shareplex monitor and analyse the redo logs? And Is there API provide by Oracle?
    Thanks!!!

    Hello
    There are no other supported interfaces or tools other than LOGMINER to mine and interpret the oracle redo/archived logs. Oracle has the rights to change the redo format or make any changes in the redo stream or change vectors as part of any patchsets or new releases. Any third party software might face problems if Oracle changes its redo format or makes changes in the redo format.
    You might need to take a look at the following metalink note:
    <Note: 97080.1> "Extracting Data from Redo Logs Is Not A Supported Interface"
    However Oracle has a replication technology called Oracle Streams which infact mines the redo/archived logs with the help of a new background process called 'capture process' which does not use any APIs but is built into to Oracle Kernel itself. Oracle Enterprise Edition will have this feature built-in.

  • Oracle Test Manager or Other Third party Test management Tools

    Hi,
    Can Open Script be integrated with OTM or any other Test Management Tools available in the market to run scripts from that Test management tool.
    Thanks

    Hi
    Yes when you create a test you can define it to be an OpenScript Test, then all you need to do is point it to the script, then you can play them from OTM and also schedule them.

  • Integration of Oracle Apps with the Third Party Label Printing Software

    Hi,
    I am integrating Oracle Apps R12 with the third party Label Printing Software(Bartender).
    For generating the Label, I have to create the XML file in Oracle Apps and with the help of Oracle WMS i have to transfer the XML file to the TCP/IP Port.
    Third Party Label Printing Software will pick the file from the TCP/IP Port.
    I am not able to find the way to send the XML file generated by the concurrent program to the TCP/IP Port using Oracle WMS.
    Below are the few links for Oracle WMS:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B25284_01/current/acrobat/115wmsug.pdf
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e13434/T210618T210847.htm#T210864
    Thanks In Advance..

    Hi,
    I assume, i have already setup profile 'WMS: Label Print Mode' to Synchronous - TCP/IP.
    Basically, you dont have to create any concurrent program for XML creation, Oracle will do it for you 'out of box'.
    Also set 'WMS: Synchronous TCP/IP label request delay' to 100, this is a required step, though none of the documentation talks about it.
    if you think that all the requests are not handled correctly, then you will need to increase this delay further.
    Lastly, verify that the printer is setup correctly in Oracle (Place where you specify IP Address and port)
    Thanks,
    Hrishikesh

    Ravi,
    I believe you need to have SOA configured with EBS to run those webservices.
    Please log a SR to confirm the same with Oracle support.

  • Using third party jars with Oracle Business Rules

    Hi
    I am working on Oracle AS 10g release 2.
    We are using Oracle Business Rules in integration with Oracle BPEL.
    While using third party jars however, Oracle Business Rules end is facing errors.
    Error during unmarshallingProvider com.sun.xml.bind.ContextFactory_1_0_1 not found
    oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedClassNotFoundException:
    Missing class: com.sun.xml.bind.ContextFactory_1_0_1
    Dependent class: javax.xml.bind.ContextFinder
    Loader: oracle.xml:10.1.0_2
    Code-Source: /D:/oracleasr3/lib/xml.jar
    Configuration: <code-source> (ignore manifest Class-Path) in META-INF/boot.xml in D:\oracleasr3\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar
    Can anybody help in figuring out where Jaxb jars(3rd party jars) are to be kept so that OAS access it?
    We tried using the applib folder to load the jars but we are getting class loading errors.
    When new instances are created, class loading is not happening.
    Pls help.
    Thanks
    Kavya

    Are you using Application Server Release 3 or Release 2? There are different versions listed in your mail.
    I think you probably want to add this as a shared library via EM and then import the shared library to your application with the application's xml config files.

  • Login module access to third-party libraries?

    G'day,
    I have a simple login module that is currently deployed in Netweaver 2004s. It is callable by both Netweaver AS and Netweaver Portal, and was implemented using Netweaver Developer Studio.
    I would like to have this login module use third-party libraries, but I am not sure of the best approach to take here.
    Do I just drop the third-party libraries into the jre/lib/endorsed directory of the JDK, or is there a better way of putting the third-party libraries onto the classpath?
    When I edit the server/provider.xml file of the login module library in Developer Studio, it only allows me to make references to jar files that currently exist in the workspace. So adding references to external jar files does not seem to be supported here.
    Is there a proper place to drop third-party jar files, so that they can be used by my login module?
    --Geoff

    Hi,
       There are different ways. as you said You can either drop it in jre/lib folder or a clsspath setting will do.
    But some times the server will not be able to catch up those libs so You can set the path to these libs in config tool. This will ensure the server will take these libs for sure.
    If you have set the classpath NWDS will take this reference

  • Best practices for apps integration with third party systems ?

    Hi all
    I would like to know if there is any document from oracle or from your own regarding best practices for apps integration with third party systems.
    For example, in particular, let's say we need customization in a given module(ex:payables) need to provide data to a third party system, consider following:
    outbound interface:
    1)should third party system should be given with direct access to oracle database to access a particular payments data information table/view to look for data ?
    2) should oracle create a file to third party system, so that it can read and do what it need to do?
    inbound:
    1) should third party should directly login and insert data into tables which holds response data?
    2) again, should third party create file and oralce apps will pick up for further processing?
    again, there could be lot of company specific scenarios like it has to be real time or not... etc...
    How does companies make sure third party systems are not directly dipping into other systems (oracle apps/others), so that it will follow certain integration best practices.
    how does enterprise architectute will play a role in this? can we apply SOA standards? should use request/reply using Tibco etc?
    Many oracle apps implementations customizations are more or less directly interacting with third party systems by including code to login into respective third party systems and vice versa.
    Let me your know if you have done differently and that would help oracle apps community.
    thanks
    rrb.

    you want to send idoc to third party system (NONSAP).
    what kind of system is it? can it handle http requests
    or
    can it handle webservice?
    which version of R/3 you are using?
    what is the mechanism the receiving system has, to receive data?

  • Registering a third party XAResource with WLS TM

    The WebLogic 6.x documentation for registering third party XA resources
              contains the following code snippet: -
              XAResource res = ... // Resource provider's implementation of XAResource
              How do you get a providers implementation?
              Where is this documented?

    7.0 is great however there are those of us out here who have spent hundreds of
              thousands of dollars using weblogic 6.x and are struggling through getting 2pc
              to work with different vendors. I would strongly suggest that BEA provide
              detailed documentation which consists of the following for 6.1 and greater and
              not put off till tomorrow solving the problems we as your customers have today
              Detailed setup information for
              1. IBM MQ
              2. Firano
              3. Sybase
              4. Oracle
              5. MS SQL Server
              With examples which work I mean full examples which show the following:
              1. Using JDBC to update a dbms on one connection pool and
              having a message sent to another XA resource which is persistent
              all part of a single transaction
              2. Using two connection pools two different servers doing simple
              updates/inserts using a single transaction
              3. Specific version numbers tested I know for sybase you mention their
              JConnect 5.2.1 but there is only 5.2 with EBF's and 5.5 with EBFs
              which specific sybase server version not just 12.x but 12.x with the
              following
              EBF's applied same for jdbc driver with complete example.
              It seems some of the more complicated operations are the least documented
              which is the inverse of what we as users would expect.
              We have spent probably 8-9 days with our dbas and myself trying to get item
              #2 above to work. Rob Wollen has helped in that it seems my sybase config is
              correct on weblogic but we still havent solved the problem. Perhaps it wont
              work
              with Sybase Jconnect 5.2 or 5.5 with 12.0 version of their product??
              I had also opened up a case back last october which totally was non-productive.
              So please please dont wait on new versions to fix documentation issues which
              are present today.
              thanks Larry

  • How can I use Drupal as a third party CMS with ATG E-Commerce Application?

    Hi Friends,
    We are planning to use a third party Freeware Content Management System (CMS) for web site content in ATG E-Commerce Application, instead of ATG content Administration or merchandising.
    Can anybody please let me know how can I use a third party CMS(Eg: Drupal) with ATG E-Commerce Application?
    Regards,
    Krishna.

    I did create a rule to determine if anyone coming through time eval is a new hire based on vacation elig. date in IT0041.  It compares Today to the vacation elig. date and if they match, set a time type indicator to 1.  I also added another decision to determine if they were a part time employee and pro-rate their quota entitlement based on what's in their IT0007 weekly working hours.  Instead of setting the time type indicator to 1, I recalculated based on a percentage of 40 hrs/wk and then updated the time type to that percentage.  In my quota generation rule I use that time type as a multiplication factor to recalculate their new pro-rated amount rounded up to the nearest whole number.

  • What are the third party tools available for Encryption in Oracle database?

    Dear All,
    Can you please help me with the below question?
    What are the third party tools available for Encryption in Oracle database? Please let me know if you know their feedback and also licensing/cost information

    Why would you spend money to purchase a third-party tool that will be, almost by definition, less secure than the tools inside the product you already own and paid for?
    http://www.morganslibrary.org/reference/pkgs/dbms_crypto.html
    But were I to have any to recommend one I would not do so without knowing information you seem to consider unimportant such as:
    1. Operating system
    2. Database edition and version
    3. What type of data needs to be secured
    4. What level of security is required

  • Issue with Third Party Adapter for custom JCA Connector in Oracle 11g.

    Hi,
    For a proof of concept, I have created my own JCA Connector. I have deployed this connector in Weblogic and it works as expected.
    Now I am trying to call the JCA Connecter from the SOA Bus. For this I have create a SCA Composite with a simple Web Service to expose the composite, a Third Party Adaptor to wrap the JCA Connector and a Mediator to wire the Web Service and the Third Party Adapter together. For the Third Party Adapter I have created both the needed *.wsdl and _3P.jca file my self. The problem is that I could not find any documentation about the _3P.jca file, and it looks like it that this file is new for 11g.
    After some puzzling and debugging I am able to deploy the SCA Composite with the Third Party Adapter. Though when I test the exposed Web Service with the Enterprise Manager I get errors and a stack trace. The problem is that the Record Converter I have created receives the default XMLRecord implementation (oracle.tip.adapter.fw.record.XMLRecordImpl) and not the implementation of the XMLRecord I have created my self.
    So the question is does anybody know how to configure the Third Party Adapter so that it will use my custom implemenation of the XMLRecord interface (oracle.tip.adapter.api.record.XMLRecord) instead of the default implementation of the XMLRecord (oracle.tip.adapter.fw.record.XMLRecordImpl).
    I would suspect that it should be configured in the _3P.jca file, though I don't know how. The following is the content of the current _3P.jca file I am using.
    <adapter-config name="DiskAdapter" adapter="Disk Adapter" wsdlLocation="JCADiskConnector.wsdl"
                    xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
      <record-converter className="com.osc.jcaadapter.convert.DiskRecordConverter"/>
      <connection-factory location="jndi/diskcf" adapterRef=""/>
      <endpoint-interaction operation="Send" portType="Send_ptt">
        <use-record-converter addonNamespace="http://somecomp.com/DiskAdapter"/>
        <interaction-spec className="com.osc.jcaadapter.impl.DiskInteractionSpecImpl">
          <property name="FunctionName" value="do-it"/>
        </interaction-spec>
      </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>So I am hoping that some one knows how you should configure the Third Party Adapter so it uses my own implementation of the XMLRecord interface.

    Hi Simeon,
    That is a good suggestion, and I would certainly try to do that if I was not making a proof of concept. It would solve my problem of not getting the sub class of the XMLRecord.
    Though for making my proof of concept I found a 10g example that used sub classes of the XMLRecord, and that is why I wanted to get the same example to work on 11g.
    The alternative of passing a parameter through with InteractionSpecs, is an interesting though can not solve this problem. I don't have a problem with the javax.resource.cci.Record, I can determine the implementation of that in the conversion class it self.
    The problem is the XMLRecord generated by the Oracle SOA Adapter Framework, some how I need a way to influence that to generate the correct implementation of the XMLRecord.
    So your post is certainly helpfull if I was not trying to get this specific problem to work :).
    But I am afraid that I will end up in implementing your sugestion.
    Regards
    Maikel.
