Oracle BizTalk Adapter Services
Hi all,
I have issue when I am trying to insert the 100 XML message to Oracle from BizTalk Services, It is giving "50400: Gateway timeout", During that time some of XML message got inserted in oracle some of them not. i.e. 60 got inserted in Oracle table
and rest of them not inserted.
I do not have any idea about that because I am new for oracle and BizTalk services.... please give me suggestion or reason why it is doing like this..
Thanks

Dynamic configuration of connection JNDI name in adapter service
I have a requirement to connect to multiple E-Business Suite instances and databases based on data in the message. I've created some adapter services, and it seems that the way each adapter service decides which instance to connect with is in the WSDL of that service:
<service name="RaiseEvent">
<port name="RaiseEvent_pt" binding="tns:RaiseEvent_binding">
<jca:address location="eis/Apps/VIS03_LNAX30B"/>
</port>
</service>
That snippet is from an Oracle Apps Adapter service, but there's similar code in the WSDL for database adapter services as well. The "eis/Apps/VIS03_LNAX30B" value is the name of the connection factory set up in my OC4J instance administration, specifying the database/EBS instance to use. Manually changing that value at design-time and redeploy works to connect to a different instance.
Is there any way to make that "jca:address location" attribute be a value that I pass into the adapter service, instead of hardcoding it into the WSDL?
Thanks,
SkipI have tried to assign values to the OutBoundDBHeaderType to try invoke another JNDI, but does not seem to work.
The setup that I used was
Have 2 databases A and B.
Have the same procedure setup in both the databases.
Have 2 JNDIs setup to point to the databases A and B named as eis/DB/A and eis/DB/B.
Initially created a DB Adapter pointing to JNDI - A.
Created a variable of the OutboundDBHeaderType message type.
Tried to assign the dataSourceName as eis/DB/B in the BPEL process.
This doe not seem to change the JNDI, the calls continue going to A. -
Oracle database Adapter starts up even before the BPEL services & errors
Here is the scenario:
We have an Oracle database adapter in an ESB service polling a table & then invokes a BPEL service.
During startup, the database adapter is loaded first & polls data & immediately invokes the BPEL which is not even loaded still & errors.
Is there a way to avoid this.
Any help would be great.All three of your errors seem to be pointing to a configuration gap between
* the JNDI name used by the SOA composite to obtain a JCA connection in the soa-infra engine
* the ConnectionFactory configuration used by the DbAdapter process that then connects to the JDBC connection pool managed by the WebLogic server
* the actual JDBC connection from WebLogic to your database
You've indicated the JDBC connection layer from WebLogic to the database has been verified so the following things should be checked:
* access the WebLogic console of your domain and verify the DbAdapter application is deployed and active on the server hosting your soa-infa SOA engine
* click on the DbAdapter entry and go to the Configuration tab and the Outbound Connections sub-tab
* expand the tree under javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory and verify your JNDI name within the SOA composite is listed (it probably looks something like eis/db/yourdbname)
* click on that JDNI name and verify on the subsequent screen that the JDBC connection pool name is present under dataSourceName or xADataSourceName
* verify your SOA composite is using eis/db/yourdbname as the reference in its database service --- it CANNOT use the JDNI name of the JDBC connection pool managed by WebLogic cuz composites run inside the soa-infra engine which uses JCA connections to get out of the soa-infra engine to the rest of the world
Hope that helps -
CSD_RULE_MATCH_FAILED-calling service request api from oracle apps adapter
We are doing integration between Siebel and Oracle Apps. When a service request is created on Siebel we are passing that in Oracle Apps using Oracle Apps adapter which is calling a custom API which is doing all the validations and in turn is calling a public api for service request creation. There are two types of service requests - Field Service and Depot Repair. For Field Service we are able to successfully insert the data on Oracle Apps, but for Depot Repair we are getting an error 'CSD CSD_RULE_MATCH_FAILED' from the standard API.
We have checked the setup and found it is proper. We invoked the pl/sql API from sql developer and we are able to insert the data. So we are facing this issue only when calling the api from oracle apps adapter.
In the invoke call we have set these properties -
jca.apps.RespApplication
jca.apps.Responsibility
jca.apps.Username
Based on our analysis till now it is looking like a security context setup issue, but we are not really sure what properties to set.
Any help in getting this through will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ShantanuHi Vijay,
We have created the apps adapter with default settings as 'apps' user and set the properties Responsibility, RespApplication, Username of <invoke>. Other than that no other settings has been changed.
Are we missing anything?
This adapter is able to hit the database in case of 'Field Service' but it is failing for 'Depot Repair'.

Routing services Vs EBS/oracle apps Adapter.
Looking for any notes/resources about :
i, comparision/metrics which explain the performance effects of using Routing services over EBS/oracle apps Adapter
directly.
ii, and general guideline how to configure.If your requirement is limited to Create order operation then apps adapter would be enough.

Component Service microsoft.biztalk.adapter.sql for BizTalk Server 2009
Hello All,
We have a production server which has 2 hosts used for receiving data. When I use these hosts for SQL adapter I am getting an error that "the receive location is shutting down. Details: The error threshold has been exceeded. The receive location is
shutting down"
I did some analysis and can see that the component service "microsoft.biztalk.adapter.sql " is missing on my receive server. Can this be the reason for this?Hi,
Please check DTC connectivity between the two servers using DTCPing and DTCTester. That at the very least should make things easier to diagnose.

Make sure that "Distributed Transaction Coordinator" service is running on both biztalk and SQL server.

Oracle Applications Adapter responds with error in the API call
Hi,
I am using SOA suite 10.1.3.5.
I have configured the Oracle Applications Adapter to call the payable open import interface (APXIIMPT) concurrent program.
I am passing two mandatory parameters Source and BatchName to it.
Before that i have also correctly inserted data into AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE and AP_LINES_INVOICE_INTERFACE tables.
The invoice is getting created from the oracle apps 11i instance if i try from the front end but my BPEL OA adapter is responding with
following error :-
<REQUEST_ID>0
</REQUEST_ID>
<RETURN_CODE>2
</RETURN_CODE>
<RETURN_MESSAGE>
Cannot find application information for short name
Cannot find rows while selecting for application short name .
Check if the application short name is valid. Contact your System Administrator.
</RETURN_MESSAGE>
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
With Regards,
Harshwardhan GhugareYou are getting customized error as a SOAP Fault from PeopleSoft application.
Regarding 3 responses, your send port might have retry count = 3 set in your send port. Hence you are getting 3 faults on each request you are making.
Now coming to the actual issue, when something goes wrong and you got fault message response, you need to deal with it. Means your orchestration send port will have "Response" and "Fault" response and you will deal with these messages respectively.
You need to assign MessageTypes for Response and Fault accordingly.
If you have done all above and still getting an error, check this
hotfix 978156 which is applicable in case of 2k6R2 and 2009 biztalk versions and happens while dealing with cross object conversion (datetime)

andrewThe following procedure describes the steps required to deploy the DbAdapter.rar file using admin_client.jar:
1. Copy the following libraries from server.xml in an OC4J_SOA container to a server.xml file for a new
container:
oracle.bpel.common
apache.junit
oracle.db.lite
apache.commons
apache.jdom
apache.slide
For example, for oracle.bpel.common, copy the following extract from one server.xml to another and
do the same for all other libraries:
<shared-library name="oracle.bpel.common" version="10.1.3">

2. Restart the container to make sure that server.xml was updated correctly.
3. From the configtools.log file find the opmn port number, for example:
deployer:oc4j:opmn://dimak.au.oracle.com:6012/home
dimak.au.oracle.com - is the machine name and
6012 - port number
4. Launch a new command prompt
and set path and classpath, for example:
set PATH=$ORACLE_HOME\jdk\bin;%PATH%
set classpath=.
where in the classpath there is only one entry - the dot, which stands for the current directory.
5. change directory to the following:
$ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\home
and run the following command (written all on one line) to deploy the DbAdapter:
java -jar admin_client.jar deployer:oc4j:opmn://dimak.au.oracle.com:6012/test oc4jadmin
manager1 -deploy -file $ORACLE_HOME\integration\esb\lib\DBAdapter.rar -deploymentName
DbAdapter2 -parent default
where
* dimak.au.oracle.com should be substituted with your machine name
* 6012 should be substituted with your port which you found in step 3
* test is the name of the container you want to deploy the adapter to
* manager1 should be substituted with your oc4jadmin password
* $ORACLE_HOME\integration\esb\lib\DBAdapter.rar is the location of the DBAdapter.rar file
* deploymentName DbAdapter2 - should be different from DbAdapter, as that name is already used in the OC4J_SOA container. -
How to setup JNDI Name for Oracle Apps adapter?
Hello,
I am learning Oracle SOA 11g and trying to do some tutorial on Oracle Application Adapter. I know how to configure JNDI for DBadapter and I did that successfully. I followed same steps to create New JNDI for Oracle Apps Adapter.
1. I Created new data source using Path Services->Data Sources -> New Genric Data Source. Connection to database was successful and created new JNDI Name: jdbc/PKDTAPPS.
2. Then Deployment-> OracleApps Adapter-> Configuration-> Outbound Connection Pools -> New and created JNDI Name eis/Apps/PKDTAPPS.
However I did not find newly created JNDI Name in step 2 under Deployment-> OracleApps Adapter-> Configuration-> Outbound Connection Pools -> javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory.
Please let me know if am I following correct steps to create new Oracle Apps Adapter JNDI Name or not.
Since above approch did not work I created new JNDI for DBAdapter with same database connection details. And then latter on use that JNDI Name while creating Oracle Application Adapter in JDeveloper composite. And it allowed me to access Oracel Apps open interface. However while deploying the application it gave me following error.
<Feb 16, 2015 10:50:59 AM CST> <Error> <oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.servlet> <SOA-21537> <Sending back error message: There was an error deploying the composite on AdminServer: [JCABinding]

oracle.tip.adapter.apps.AppsTableWriteInteractionSpec..>
Since I have no past experience kindly suggest me what is right way to do this.
Thanks,
ShriHi shri,
