Does anybody know why this exception is coming or Is the oracle bpel different for Weblogic 8.1.5 ?
Can you use WebLogic 8.1 SP4 ? BPEL has been certified with that version. We have been able to reproduce the issue and currently investigating the cause of it.

Oracle Service does not start after installation of Domain role
Hi all,
here is my setting:
Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit
ORACLE ONE 11g
I installed the database and it was working fine until I installed the domain controller role on this server.
Finally I needed to uninstall this role again and restarted the server several times during this process.
Now I can not access the database anymore. Listener starts, then stops.
database service stops with Windows Service Error "Could not start in a timely fashion..." (but quite immediately after starting)
Checking the database installation, I could not find the ORACLE HOME path in the env variables anymore, also not a trace of other ORACLE paths there.
This database is REALLY important to me, so if you have an idea how to restore the original state, I would be glad.
And NO , I haven´t made a backup, since it was more or less 1 day between db setup and domain role setup...
Thanks in advance...
Meden
Edited by: user10859969 on 13.01.2012 14:29And No, you shouldn't have installed Oracle on a Domain Controller in the first place, as the activity of a Domain Controller will impair the database performance heavily.
So the best solution is CTRL-ALT-DEL and start all over again.
If the database is that important for you, why didn't you install it on a real OS, and why for heaven's sake did you promote the database server to a domain controller?

how are you starting it. Are you using the gcstartup script within init.d ?

Hi guys,
After installing Oracle 10g on Solaris 9, I could not get the database to start up on the web browser. I was wondering is the problem is due to the error below. If yes, what steps should I take to remedy it?
Successfully accumulated necessary OCR keys.

service is started
Thanx! Thanks for replying. My database does not work with ASM.
I've reinstalled Oracle10g on Solaris as I believed that I made some errors for the previous versions.
Now, for this current Oracle, I can access the database using SQL and dbconsole service to start the EM. However I can't access the EM's database through the web browser after the first reboot.
i am able to use the EM using the path
http://unknown:5500/em
Note: My hostname is unknown as i had used DHCP during installation.
But once after reboot, the following error msgs appear at the startup and i could not access the EM:
Oracle CSSD being stopped
Shutting down CRS daemon
Shutting down EVM daemon
Failure 3 at CSS context initialization
Oracle CSSD will be run out of init
My qn is if it is my unknown hostname that cause the problem? Or is there any other soln pertaining to the error msg. -

Oracle Listener service not starting.
Hi,
Windows 2003 Oracle 10.2. and ECC 6.0
TNS Listener service is not starting and giving below Error
"The OracleTST102TNSListener service on Local Computer started and then stoped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the performance logs and Alerts service.
Please help me.
ThanksThanks warren
This is not a new installation. I was running SGEN Tcode. I stopped the transaction and wanted to start it again, it gave an ABAP DUMP error. After that i had restarted the Server at OS level. From then onwards the TNS Listener service was not starting.
But the problem is resolved. The problem was with the IP Address. It was changed and the entry was not present in the Host file. So i have made an entry in the hostfile and started the TNS Listener service, it worked. -
Windows could not start DBConsole for new database instance
Hi,
I am getting this error "Windows could not start the OracleDBConsoleOracleInstance2 on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the system vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 1".
I installed Oracle 11g on Windows 7 and created my 1st database instance (oracleInstance1) successfully with a listener and service configured. I could access this database using DBconsole URL: https://hostname:1158/em.
I see the services started for:
OracleDBConsoleOracleInstance1
OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener
OracleServiceOracleInstance1
Next, I created a second database instance (oracleInstance2) and have configured a new service for this database. I am using the same listener as I intend to use one database instance at any point of time.
However, I got this warning message during configuration:
"Enterprise manager configuration succeeded with the following warning - Error starting Database Control. Please execute the following command(s).
1. Set the environment variable ORACLE_UNQNAME to Database unique name.
2. C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin\emctl.bat start dbconsole"
To start the new database console, I stopped the previously running DBConsole, OracleDBConsoleOracle1 and started the new DBConsole OracleDBConsoleOracle2 and get the above error.
When I try to start dbconsole manually using "emctl dbconsole start", it starts OracleDBConsoleOracle1 instead.
I changed environment variables ORACLE_SID=oracle2 and ORACLE_UNQNAME=oracle2
What am I missing here. Please help!
Thank you.968952 wrote:

What am I missing here. Please help!First thing you are missing is showing us what you did. Instead you just described it, and that leaves a lot of room for questions. Copy and paste from a command prompt can work wonders here.
From a command prompt, enter the following:
set ORACLE_SID=oracle2
set ORACLE_UNQNAME=oracle2
set | sort
net start
emctl start dbconsolecopy the entire session, commands and full responses, and paste back here.

Thank you.Just to take a side road ...
"I am using the same listener as I intend to use one database instance at any point of time. "
Doesn't' matter if you use one instance or 100. The listener was DESIGNED to service multiple instances of multiple versions running from multiple homes. It is nothing but a connection broker. A telephone switchboard, if you will. All you need is a single listener, with the default name of LISTENER, running on the default port of 1521. It will handle all the database instances you care to throw at it. More instances than anyone in their right mind would ever put on a single server. Your server will run out of capacity to host additional instances before the listener runs out of capacity to service them. Especially since your 'server' is really just a toy in the Oracle world. -
Oracle Media Recovery Not Started
Hi,
Need help
I've just performed system copy in HP-UX & Oracle as database using backup restore method.
I'm using online backup for this system copy. Control file has been created successfully. Now I'm trying to start the media recover using below cmd
"recover database using backup controlfile until cancel"
After applying this command system is not starting the media recovery. From alert log file I can see the msg Media Recovery Start but oracle is not giving any further message, it is stuck on the below screen.

Regards,
Neehir BhattHi Neehir,
How did you create the control file ?
Did you use start the DB with source SID and generated a control file trace and then excutede the control file trace sql with the SID change in ordrer to create actual control files with ORACLE_SID reset to actual DBSID. .
Also i use:
recover database until cancel using backup controlfile;
and not :
"recover database using backup controlfile until cancel"
Not sure though if that should make difference because if yours was erroneous oracle should have let you known.
What message comes when you try
alter database open
Regards.

Hi. I have various workflows on various lists that share a common issue. The first entry of the day on that list will not start the workflow automatically. We have SharePoint 2013 Foundation. This same issue occurred when we had SharePoint 2010
as well. Interestingly, I had read about a 'fix' by adding a 5 minute pause at the start of every workflow which worked fine for a while. Now I happened to find that this is no longer working (after I see a bunch of workflows that didn't fire over the past
month - ugh!).
I know I'm not the only one with this issue as I ran across others with the issue when I first researched it and found the 'pause fix' a year or so ago and I also talked with someone else during a SP seminar who used this same fix. NOTE: These
are end users creating the items. It is not logged as a system account.
Any help would be appreciated. I have a SharePoint developer I can hire if this is beyond my ability to fix. I just need some guidance (last time I inquired they weren't aware of this issue). Can you also advise if these are complicated workflows or high traffic lists?

Oracle database does not start timezone mismatch
Hi
I am new on oracle database. My server has restart and now when I try to start oracle database I get this error can anyone help to come out this error.
oracle@host [~]# /home/u01/app/oracle/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/emctl start dbconsole
TZ set to US/Michigan
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control Release 10.2.0.1.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2005 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
http://server:1158/em/console/aboutApplication
Timezone mismatch: The agentTZRegion value (US/Michigan) in
/home/u01/app/oracle/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/database/sysman/config/emd.properties
does not match the current environment TZ setting(US/Michigan).
The dbconsole cannot run with this mismatch.
If US/Michigan is the correct timezone, set your timezone environment variable to US/Michigan and repeat the 'emctl start dbconsole' operation.
If US/Michigan is not the correct timezone, make sure that the timezone in your environment is correct, and then run the following command in your local Oracle Home: 'emctl resetTZ agent'
The output of this command will include detailed instructions to follow, to correct the mismatch.
Thanks in advance
Edited by: user6550464 on Mar 29, 2009 11:46 PMAnd now You see the reason for error message.
emctl thinks that time zone is US/Michigan (its from emd.properties file)
but on linux timezone is set to Asia/Calcutta
Yoiu should understand which one timezone is correct. If it's US - then talk with server sysadmin, he will set correct one timezone on linux.
If correct one is on linux - then follow metalink note how to change timezone for agent.
If none of them are correct, then You will have to follow both steps.
