Oracle DB - BPEL

Can I use trigger or message from a oracle db queue to start a BPEL Process?
Thank in advance

Yes.
The simplest way is to write an Java Listener for your AQ and then in that listener use the Java API of BPEL PM to initiate a new instance of a process.
In 2.2, we will have a wizard that let you browse a DB connection and automatically generate an activation agent so that this can become a code free exercise.

  • OSB 10gR3 + Oracle 10gR3 BPEL

    Hello
    Is anyone using a combination of OSB 10gR3 + Oracle 10gR3 BPEL and if so, how are you getting on with it?
    Hannah

    You can use OSB 10gR3 + Oracle 10gR3 BPEL together, but each of them must be installed in his own directory. OSB is running on Java 1.6, while BPEL is running in Java 1.5. Out of the box, BPEL is runing on the Oracle Application Server (OC4J), it can run under Weblogic, but this is WLS 9.2

  • ORACLE Portal & BPEL

    Help me, please :(
    I create and deploy BPEL process.
    I create java class.
    In java class call create and update instance of process (for create i use
    ...Locator locator=new Locator("default", "bpel",props);
    ...NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage( );
    nm.addPart("payload" , xml );
    deliveryService.post("BPELProcessER", "initiate", nm); )
    for update i use .....IInstanceHandle iih[] = locator.listInstances(0,1000);
    IActivityHandle act[] = iih[j].listActivities();
    for (int i=0; i<act.length; i++) {
    if (act[i] instanceof IReceiveActivityHandle)
    IReceiveActivityHandle ract = (IReceiveActivityHandle)act;
    if (ract.isOpen())
    conversationId = ract.getConversationId();
    deliveryService = (IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService(IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME );
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage( );
    nm.addPart("payload" , xml );
    nm.setProperty("conversationId",conversationId);
    if (v_Indicator.equalsIgnoreCase("fiscal"))
    { TypeOperation="onResult1";
    else
    {TypeOperation="onResult2";
    System.out.println("TypeOperation - "+TypeOperation);
    deliveryService.post("BPELProcessER", TypeOperation, nm);
    When i start java class from JDeveloper all working, but if i include my code from java class in servlet and call it from portlet (ORACLE Portal), when execute the next code
    IActivityHandle[] h = locator.listActivities(new WhereCondition());
    i get following Error:
    java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Error deserializing return-value: java.io.InvalidClassException: javax.xml.namespace.QName; local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = -916876369326528164, local class serialVersionUID = -711357515002332258
    what is the matter?

    You may want to read the specs on 10.1.4. It looks like this new portal version can consume BPEL designs created by JDeveloper.

  • Oracle EBS - BPEL/BPM integration

    Hi
    Edited by: user10467930 on Sep 19, 2009 12:57 PM

    Oracle BPM has no adapter, it not really Oracle strategic product in the short term.
    Oracle OSB 10.3 has a BPEL transport
    If you are using the Oracle ESB from iAS use fastpath
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/esb/files/esb-presentation-bpel-fastpath.pdf
    BPEL back to OSB can be implmented via SOAP calls.
    cheers

  • Error while invoking a Web service deployed on OC4J from Oracle BPEL

    Hi,
    I had created a web service from a simple java class using JDeveloper and deployed that on OC4J which had emmited a wsdl for the web service. On the same AS my BPEL processing is deployed in which i had created a partner link by using 1st option (i.e Browse WSDL files from local file system) and invoking the published method of the java class.I am expecting that the method of the class which is deployed as web service will be executed and i will get the return of the method as the response of the invoke activity , but i am getting this error :
    <remoteFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension">
    <part name="summary">
    <summary>when invoking locally the endpoint 'http://localhost:8080/MyIM-JavaCustomerFactory-context-root/JavaCustFactory', ; nested exception is: ORABPEL-02052 Cannot lookup BPEL domain. </remoteFault>
    It seems that the Invoke activity is not able to get the WebService and it is asking for some settings , if any clue regarding this pls reply.
    I can also give the wsdl also.
    mail me at [email protected]

    Hi,
    Thanx it is working now.
    BTW can you give me some urls with info of this kind of setting which i need to do for other kind of integarions in J2EE platform.Sorry if i am asking too much as i am a starter in this technology.

  • API for creating new User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

    Hello,
    I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle E-Business Suite. In the Integration Repository I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API.
    I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.
    Please note, I have also posted this question to the SOA Suite and BPEL discussion forums...
    Thank you kindly!

    Hello and thank you for your response. I am new to using APIs so please excuse my inexperience... I am not sure how to run the API outside of BPEL... Is that something you could easily walk me through?
    I have made the following changes in BPEL based on your recommendation: 1) Added Oracle Application Service and used the API, LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER, found in the Oracle Application Module Browser* under: Applications Technology (ATG_PF)&gt; User Management (UMX)&gt; User (FND_USER)&gt; PLSQL&gt; User (FND_USER_PKG)&gt; LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER
    2) Set the following parameter prior to Invoking the Oracle App Service: X_USER_NAME, X_UNENCRYPTED_PASSWORD,X_START_DATE, X_END_DATE, X_DESCRIPTION, X_EMAIL_ADDRESS, X_FAX, X_EXPIRE_PWD.
    3) Deploy and run BPEL through BPEL Control.
    I get the following {color:#ff0000}error on the Invoke{color}. {color:#339966}Do you see any issues with the values I am passing in the input{color}? Any idea why I am getting this error? Is there anything that I need to have configured for the API to work correctly, other than adding an Oracle Application Service in the BPEL?
    Thank you for your time,
    Christine

      I got the above error before calling to human task from my BPEL process. Any idea?

    Assuming this is SOA Suite 11g. Did you start the WLS with UTF8? Is your database using UTF8?
    Nothing else is supported.
    If you are on unix.
    $ export LANG="en_US.utf8"
    $ export LC_ALL="en_US.utf8"
    Then locale should display something like this
    $ locale
    LANG=en_US.utf8
    LC_CTYPE="en_US.utf8"
    LC_COLLATE="en_US.utf8"
    LC_MONETARY="en_US.utf8"
    LC_NUMERIC="en_US.utf8"
    LC_TIME="en_US.utf8"
    LC_MESSAGES="en_US.utf8"
    LC_ALL=en_US.utf8
    And then you should be able to start the SOA Suite correctly.

  • BPEL Process CurrencyExchangeList BUG or Limitation...its part of Oracle PIPs for AIA,

    Hi All,
    The BPEL process CurrencyExchangeListEbizJMSProducer is a Oracle standard process (PIPs) , but still we are getting the error.
    The below error in red I took from server log file.
    We are getting an error in Production environment while a BPEL process producing (enqueue) a message to a JMS queue by using JMS adapter. (partener link)
    We are using Orcacle 10G SOA suite with OC4J server and AIA 10G.
    Please note that we are not getting this error every time,  few BPEL instances are getting this error, around 4 out of 10 instances.

    Hi Lonneke
    Thanks for responding....
    You are correct in seeing that the two services are different in name.
    However they are identical in function.
    I created the service POSyncComp in my earlier version of JDev and deployed it to my local OC4J.
    Which is launched by a PeopleSoft call using PeopleCode.
    I have now rewritten this service in my new JDev and called it POSyncCompInt and deployed to home in an SOA suite implementation.
    So whilst I test and before I roll the original service call out, I have both.
    I have duplicated the PeopleCode and tweaked the message call, so that for testing purposes, and before I drop the current working version I have both calls in my PeopleCode event.
    The original POSyncComp call still works, but the call to the 'new replacement' does not.
    Hence the log shows both calls.... with slightly different names.
    The strange thing is that the PeopleSoft LOG shows very similar code in the Request Message, but the response from the new call shows the HTML Form that I get if I run the second BPEL process from the SOA BPEL console.
    So it looks like it is addressing the URL correctly.... but it suggests that stand alone OC4J returns a different response to the SOA suite which I am using for the new version of the BPEL process.... Is this configuration ?
    It hints at the xsd file and the complex message type at entry to the BPEL process.
    I can run the new process from the SOA suite BPEL Console with no problems.
    I hope that clarifies your question about two different service names

    3. Assign the session id to the partner link
    4. Assign the inputs (lastname, firstname, leadowner, viewMode=Personal, lovLanguageMode=LDC) to lead
    5. Call the leadInsert operation on the partner link

    Hi,
    We are also using BPEL to send data out to SIEBEL CRMOD.
    I've created a proxy that deals with authentication and session management.
    All you have to do is to deploy the proxy as a war file and refrence it as the end-point of your partner link.
    Code is here:

    Thanks for your reply.
    The reality here is that we could not get solid support from BSAIS team, we came to many situations that we have to search around and tell them how to do the job like this (They are all afraid of Java Stack
    I will keep search, if you have detailed information how to and where to configure those parameters, please let me know.

  • API for creating User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

    Hello,
    I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle EBS. In the {color:#0000ff}Integration Repository {color}I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API. What are the required input parameter?
    I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.
    Thank you kindly!

  • MailActivationAgent isn't robust within Oracle BPEL 10.1.3 release

    Within the new Oracle BPEL 10.1.3 release the MailActivationAgent isn’t working as robust as in the Oracle BPEL 10.1.2. release.
    The problem is that sometimes the emails are picked up correctly by the process from the IMAP mailbox, but sometimes not.
    We tried already several things to solve this problem, but nothing worked out.
    A list of actions we tried already to bypass this problem:
    - sending mails to the IMAP mailbox using a different client than Outlook
    - removed all tabs/whitespaces within account.xml mailbox config file, because
    this was a known issue within release 10.1.2
    - use a non-encrypted password field within the account.xml mailbox config file
    We encountered this problem during a migration from release 10.1.2 to release 10.1.3.1.0 (Build 061009.0802).
    We retested the executed scenarios once again on release 10.1.2, but on that release every mail within the IMAP mailbox is picked up correctly by the process.
    Scenario
    For a specific process we need to read out an IMAP mailbox, so therefore we have a MailActivationAgent within this process.
    We analyzed the logs of the application server, and there the following messages are displayed:
    <2006-12-04 15:08:25,546> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <HeartBeatListenerJob::execute> Error while invoking onHeartBeat() method, exception is "Cannot load header".
    Some snapshots of the code are attached below to get some insight within the process and code.
    bpel.xml…
    <activationAgents>
    <activationAgent className="com.collaxa.cube.activation.mail.MailActivationAgent"
    heartBeatInterval="60">
    <property name="accountName">account</property>
    </activationAgent>
    account.xml
    <mailAccount xmlns="http://services.oracle.com/bpel/mail/account">

    <password>CRYPT{IB3B7SrA3kMYHoBDzWwsEg==}</password>
    <folderName>InBox</folderName>
    </incomingServer>
    </mailAccount>
    The domain.log of the appserver
    <2006-12-04 15:08:25,546> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <HeartBeatListenerJob::execute> Error while invoking onHeartBeat() method, exception is "Cannot load header".
    <2006-12-04 15:08:25,562> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <HeartBeatListenerJob::execute> Error while invoking onHeartBeat() method, exception is "No content".

    For some time it worked now ok, and suddenly after a restart of the SOA Suite process manager it didn't work anymore without doing anything on the process that is using the MailActivationAgent.
    The error I've got is attached below:
    <2006-12-05 15:06:04,351> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <HeartBeatListenerJob::execute> Error while invoking onHeartBeat() method, exception is "Error creating mail account.
    An exception occured while attempting to parse the mail account from the XML file "C:\oracle\products\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\domains\default\metadata\Mailservice\account.xml". The exception reported is: The XML data is invalid.
    The XML data is invalid; the reason is "Begin van startelement wordt verwacht.".
    Please verify xml data.

  • Dynamic End Point Lookup in BPEL from Oracle Service Registry

    Hi,
    I have configured the OSR as mentioned in the configuration document,
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28982/service_config.htm#BABBHJAF
    I am able to connect to the OSR using JDeveloper in BPEL Project, but when I try to invoke a service using Partner Link (set registryServiceKey). I get a fault in the response as,
    Your test request was processed synchronously. It took 45.344seconds to finish and generated the following output:
    <Faulthttp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/>
    <faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>

    </Fault>
    In the Audit Instance, it displays

    Regards,

    Not sure if this answers your question, but:
    You won't get the endpoint as a variable in your process, if this is what you mean. By specifying the registryServiceKey, the BPEL runtime will divert the call to the OSR which then will divert to the endpoint specified in the binding.
    Note that you still have to keep the hardcoded WSDL location in the partner link when you add the registryServiceKey property. This is the way JDeveloper gets the WSDL (it doesn't seem to use the OSR).
