When we want to start a process chain via SAP_BW_ProcessChainRun we get the following error log:

O.K. I can answer the question by myself: Is an authorisation issue. The rfc user who starts the PCs didn't have enough rights.

I already went to similar kind of error solution in forum,but this error is coming for one web I query,all other reports are working fine.

Under normal circumstances it should be enough to restart the connection service.
As far as we know there is no formal solution to this problem from SAP yet but restarting the connection service is much less of an interuption compared to restarting the the SIA.
Re-starting the connection service should resolve this issue. since, Connection service is only related to DeskI and Rich Client re-statrng wonu2019t impact other business objects components including java report panel.

Try to transport the process chain by removing the process chain from schedule.
Go to Process chain select execution in menu..go for option "Remove from schedule"

Error ( termination error : 8) when scheduling Process chain.

We are just configuring the BW system 3.5 ( Installing etc etc), I created a Process chain and trying to schedule it, I get the following Error.
" Job terminated with error code : 8" , when I check the details of the message I see this " Cannot schedule the job with Id : BW REMOTE". Is it something that the basis/ securtity has to set up for the BW guys , to schedule jobs.

The possible reason for that error is the User type of the background user. Please check out OSS note 511475 which talks about this problem and possible solution. I have used this earlier.

You're getting that probably because the WL instance was not shut down properly.
If that's the case, you'll need to remove an ldap lock file (with a .lok extension) in the directory of ldap files (under the server dir) .

Hello Mohammed,
Have you seen any error in your SM21 system log and developer trace of spool work process
during that time?
The maximum size when create spool is 2GB.Pls also check if you are creating a spool
larger than it.

'Error 8 occurred when starting the data extraction program'

Hello Experts,
I am trying to pull master data (Full upload) for a attribute. I am getting an error on BW side i.e. 'The error occurred in Service API .'
So I checked in Source system and found that the an IDOC processing failure has occurred. The failure shows 'Error 8 occurred when starting the data extraction program'.
But when I check the extractor through RSA3, it looks fine.
Can someone inform what might be the reason of the failure for IDOC processing and how can this be avoided in future. Because the same problem kept occurring later as well.

Chk the idocs from SM58 of source system are processing fine into ur target system(BI system)...?
Chk thru Sm58 and give all * and target destination as ur BI system and execute and chk any entries pending there?

Internal error occured when processing parallel RFC

Dear Experts,
I have created one FM and calling that FM as prallel process in a report program.

In development system its working fine. In quality it throwing a dump saying "Internal error occured when processing parallel RFC" . Error mesage number - BT 857.
Any body came across this problem.Please help me to resolve.

I have executed the function modules.Its throwing the floowing exceptions.
SPBT_INITIALIZE     is throwing the exception INVALID_GROUP_NAME Message number BT - 831.
Function modules SPBT_GET_CURR_RESOURCE_INFO , SPBT_FIND_FREE_SERVER, SPBT_GET_CURR_RESOURCE_INFO are throwing the exception PBT_ENV_NOT_INITIALIZED_YET message number BT - 838 .
How to resolve this problem.

Actually i did check the site for similar questions and found one without unfortunately any solutions, therefore and as i am about to embark a vessel, due to my job Captain in Merchant Marine Ships, I re posted this matter hoping to have a solution from somebody in ADOBE keeping in mind that i never hesitate to make the purchase of the software believing that i would not have this kind of problems with a company such as ADOBE.

Error "An error occurred on starting the workflow" when creating Timesheet

Hi..I have copied a standard task for Timesheet approval...and have assigned to profile..but when creating timesheet i'm getting error as "An error occurred on starting the workflow" .. could anyone help me out from this issue..

I have the same error you listed here for a few employees. Could you please tell me how you resolved this?
I've searched other posted messages and look like we've set up the timeshee approval correctly, but still have this error.
Any information provided is appreciated.
